422  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 Gh/s] 50BTC.com - PPS, INSTANT payout (LR, qiwi, WM,...), API, no stales on: January 10, 2013, 03:19:23 AM
Well lets see.. the poolop hasnt posted since December 20th but it shows he was online yesterday.. i guess thats a pretty good indication that we are not getting an answer any time soon.

I only use 50btc as my backup pool now since OZCOIN went 3% pps also.

Yeah seriously, Where is our answer, Lets not "pretend it didnt happen" Because it did. And the excuse is "our systems malfunction during the rollover to the new year"
How does that even fucking make sense anymore? This is not 1999!
No other pool had any issues with the year changing, so why did 50btc, mysteriously steal our hashrate for Hours.
Cause you could grab quite a few blocks with 4.8th aimed solo, Nabbing yourself a quick and dirty paycheck.

All you gotta do is flip a switch, Wait for complaints, And flip it back as soon as you see one.

I'd like an explaination of what happened on the newyear

Maybe they went "bitclockers"  Cheesy
423  Economy / Goods / Re: Shell Gas Cards!!! on: January 09, 2013, 02:11:06 PM
Could you do marathon or sheetz cards?  There is only one shell station in my town and I'm on the opposite side.  Also, it is probably the most expensive one in the area due to its location.

I'm in contacts with other merchants but I'm not sure how many will allow me to re-sell as I'm doing haha. I'm waiting on British Petroleum right now. If there is a high demand I can try to contact Marathon or Sheetz. I'm in California so I'm limited on which companies are popular. Where are you located? I don't have Marathon or Sheetz here.

Do you mean Beyond Petroleum (BP)?  Just making sure we are talking the same thing as I like them too :-)  and have a Marathon nearby as well... definantly liking the thought of having a psuedo-electric car rofl

Yea once it all comes together....it's sort of like having one Smiley or "mining gasoline" as stated above haha

Oh and yes, Beyond Petroleum. I couldn't figure out what BP stood for. It's the green and yellow sort of flower icon?

BP is an acronym for British Petroleum.  The "Beyond Petroleum" is a merely a tagline/slogan. Up until 1998 they were called "British Petroleum Company PLC".
424  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 9 top of the line rigs, whole or parted out on: January 09, 2013, 04:23:12 AM
Bump.  Come on guys.....make some offers!

You'd probably get more offers if you posted what you wanted for the rigs.

jmho.
425  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LocalBitcoins.com - a location-based bitcoin to cash marketplace on: January 07, 2013, 02:11:23 PM
A suggestion.  Would it be possible to sort the ads based on price/btc and location distance? (ascending/descending) A small up/down arrow next to each column heading?

Thanks!
426  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LocalBitcoins.com - a location-based bitcoin to cash marketplace on: January 07, 2013, 01:52:52 PM
OK, we implemented the following:

- After 30 days from last login, warning email is sent
- After 37 days from last login, advertisement is disabled.

Well, clearly there was some errors, since we got complaints from real sellers whose ads were real. The problem is that last login is pretty bad indicator - it is possible to conduct the trades without logging in to localbitcoins via the email system etc.

Anyway, we try to put in a better system, and sorry for everyone whose ads were deleted mistakenly.

Don't you have to login to respond to a message from localbitcoins? I always assumed that you could not respond to the link sent in the email unless you were actually logged in.
427  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LocalBitcoins.com - a location-based bitcoin to cash marketplace on: January 07, 2013, 01:11:32 AM
Now it should disable the form and display "This trader is on vacation" message.
Is there a way to indicate how long ago the trader was active with all profiles? Last time logged in or last trade?

In my area, there are 6 profiles listed but they all have no reviews, I got over 15 (I guess the timestap on those is in a way an indicator of the last activity). One of the profiles seems to have been active last time in August last time if I look at his bitcointalk login. Some people place orders with stale accounts and waste a week or so until they give up and put in a request at a different trader.

At least an indication of last activity would give people a clear view of which ones are stale accounts and which ones are active ones

+1

Maybe remove ads of accounts that haven't been active for more than 1 month?

I have a strange problem...
I have done it on 2 cards and then the fans were working again - BUT only for a few minutes, then they freezed...
now the fans do nothing, but they are easy going if it rotate it manual  Huh

you probably damaged one of the windings. you don't need to insert the screwdriver/tool in too far.
430  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 3 Gigabyte HD 5870's (Reduced) on: December 26, 2012, 11:33:27 PM
Yeah, silly me for thinking I was a customer too when they take 3% of every sale.

6%  Wink Don't forget paypal fees!

Dude get off my post. I am not selling to you, stop trolling and go find something better to do. You cant pay what I ask move on simple. I dont need you worrying for me

Cranky?

Sounds like you are pissed I'm bumping your post  Grin P.S.  I'd recommend anyone buying from BitcoinPappi make sure they use escrow.  A couple cards he sold me had flaky fans.  One fan was dead and he refused to acknowledge, then got pissy with me when I asked him to reimburse me for the fan (I'd handle the installation). The heat sinks looked like they had swallowed a cat.
431  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 5830 sapphire reference fans? on: December 26, 2012, 11:29:45 PM
I've bought several fans from this place for both AMD and Nvidia. Replaced the fans in my 5830's with these as well. They cost more than $10 though.

If you order, measure everything beforehand.

Will those work on Sapphire non-reference 5830s?  The ones with the FirstD fans?

Ebay licks asshole... Just had a buyer dispute an fpga after three weeks of mining on it... (Item wasn't as described/damaged in shipping... yeah right)

Now I have to take back the item. Give him a full refund and because I tried to escalate the case it will affect my reputation/feedback (also keep in mind I said no returns or exchanges but because the buyer is lieing and saying it was damaged in shipping I still have to take it back).

Anyways, I'll stop ranting, just wanted to mention that USPS medium flatrate international box is $32 shipped. You could fit 2 5870s in one easy.

Yep,  I hear you.  This is the single biggest problem I have with selling stuff on eBay.  There is no more protection for the seller. Any slightest question brought by the buyer will ensure that the buyer gets his money back and you are out your cost of shipping. I have never had eBay or PayPal side with me as a seller, even when I was 110% right.
435  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 3 Gigabyte HD 5870's (Reduced) on: December 24, 2012, 01:50:33 AM
I guess the free eBay listings didn't pan out.  $60 each is a really nice price  Grin
He sold me some gpus a while ago.  Based on my experience with his cards, just hope that the fans are all good. Wink
436  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB BFL singles on: December 23, 2012, 10:34:14 PM
Things might have changed, but I'm pretty sure they're worth more than that..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Butterfly-Labs-BFL-BitForce-Single-Bitcoin-Mining-Rig-/190750862076?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c69a32afc

Of course, things might have changed since the reward half..

That auction ended a month and a half ago. Most Singles now are going for 400-500, from what I've seen. If you can sell one for 600, you're doing awesome.

+1

seems someone is current bid is $600

Little bump and last push for some, Doubt any out there but you never know.

I might have some for you.  I have a few gpus that are dead as a doornail.  won't let a rig boot up.  I will try baking them to see if I can revive them.  If they return from the dead, I will keep the backplates, otherwise I'll have some available for sale.

Are gold and silver coins "legal tender" in Greece?

Yes

I'm pretty sure this is incorrect.
