Some publications say that Newcastle are interested in Girona coach Michel Sanchez. Newcastle management is considering the option of dismissing Eddie Howe and appointing Sanchez in his place. Michel has been coaching Girona since 2021. Now this team is located on the second line of the Spanish La Liga after Real Madrid. However, there is still no information about the desire of Michel, whether he wants to stay or leave Girona.

I have a feeling that Howe will not start the 2024/25 season as Newcastle manager. There has been a big drop off in their results from last season.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Newcastle owners sack Howe and get somebody else in. They are now a very wealthy club, they will not accept mediocrity.

Chelsea still have a chance to win a title this season despite having a really bad form meanwhile. I mean the EFL Cup title by the way. Because they have reached the semi finals and they will probably won't have big issues against Middlesbrough as well. However the main threat there will be Liverpool as they would also eliminate Fulham to reach the final stage.  Sad

I would expect Liverpool to be as determined as Chelsea to win this title honestly. Because Klopp is also trying to make a big progress after an inadequate level of performance in the last season. But let's see. Chelsea had better give their best for the title.

Winning trophies is great obviously but the EFL Cup is no compensation for Chelsea’s performances the last 18 months. They have spent £1,500,000,000 on mostly crap players. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a badly run club in over 30 years watching football.

Their mismanagement of funds in the transfer market under Boehly’s stewardship has been calamitous. They have been a joke of a club for a while now.

Arsenal are of course not out of the title competition now. But if they continue to be this inconsistent they will be out of it for sure.  Sad

Arteta can find a way to improve this form again but it is really difficult to believe in this not to repeat itself. Because this is Arsenal we are talking about. They are always prone to making huge mistakes on the road going to the league title. The best example for that was the previous season. It was their biggest chance and they wasted it on the final weeks unfortunately.

Man City are still favourites to win it.

I just think Arsenal are a bit short on quality to win it. They don’t have a world class goalscorer, I think their fullbacks are mediocre and both GK’s are not title winning quality.

The Girona and Athletico Madrid game is almost coming to an end, and the game is still a draw.

Drama at the end as Girona go 4-3 up in the 92nd minute.

FULL TIME NOW

The Girona fairytale continues.

West Ham should be full of confidence here, they beat Arsenal and Man Utd in recent weeks so they’ll be looking at this as a game they should win. Jared Bowen is in great form, might be a good idea to look at him for first goal.

Bowen is really a great player. Do you think that Liverpool would think of Bowen in Salah's place after Salah leaves? Salah is absolutely a player at a quite different level. However I see Bowen as the most fitting candidate to fill his place. By the way does Liverpool think of making any transfer in January?

If/when Salah leaves it will be close to impossible to replace the number of goals and assists that he hits every season. Bowen is a good player and Klopp has mentioned that he likes him a few times so it could be possible he comes to Liverpool.

I would like us to sign a player or two in January to give us a better chance of winning the title, fingers crossed.

50K$ here we go

Could be sooner than we think if Gensler stops being the cuck that he is and approves the damn ETF’s.

We will have a decision on or before the 10th of January.

West Ham 0-0 Brighton

Nearly half time, really dull game but it’s to be expected I guess. There are so many games over the festive period, players must be physically and mentally tired.
Hopefully the 2nd half will be livelier.

We're LIVE for West Ham vs Brighton tonight @ 19:00 GMT!

West Ham should be full of confidence here, they beat Arsenal and Man Utd in recent weeks so they’ll be looking at this as a game they should win. Jared Bowen is in great form, might be a good idea to look at him for first goal.

Brighton are no push over though, De Zerbi is one of the best managers in the league. I’m looking forward to this one.

I loved the game tonight. Sure, we allowed 2 goals but the energy levels, wow. So good to see Jota back properly, Gomez surprising me again and again with how capable he is filling in for Tsimi/Robbo. Sure, City's chasing us down but we get to meet them at Anfield, bring it on!

Gomez has been brilliant since he’s had to step in. I thought Jones was good too, things are looking good aren’t they. It could be a really exciting second half of the season for us. I thought it would be another year before we competed for the title. Let’s go for it though, all we can do is hope.

Was just watching the football, nice 4-2 win for my beloved Liverpool.

I check the price at full time (BTC one of my other loves OBVIOUSLY). I then observe $43.452.

2024 is going to be fun.

Big game for my boys tonight, we need to keep the momentum up. Man City are not going to drop many points so we just need to keep winning.

I expect us to win tonight but it might be tough. Newcastle will waste time, foul, play in a deep defensive shape. We should have too much for them though.

Shocking form over the festive period by Arsenal, they are a real choke artist aren’t they, no balls. When the going gets tough they have no leaders and no fight.

Time for Liverpool to take the fight to Man City, nobody else can do it. We must beat Newcastle tomorrow but it will not be easy. If we have any idea about seriously challenging City though, it is a must win.

Great but possibly fortunate win for Aston Villa today. They just keep getting results don’t they, I’ve been expecting them to slide down the table for ages but they don’t.

It’s very unlikely they win the title or even really compete for it as we enter March and April but Emery is doing a great job there. Just to finish in the top 4 would be an amazing achievement.

I think Arsenal are massively overrated. They had one good season in like a decade and still didn’t win the league. They have an average goalkeeper and impotent strike force. I think Saliba and Gabriel are a good CB partnership but their fullbacks are mediocre. The midfield is pretty good but I don’t think they are good enough to win big titles yet.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 29, 2023, 08:14:39 PM
Liverpool is currently at the top of the standing with good point and at same time their form still looks very much intact amd not like they are dropping form anytime soon so they currently look more promising at the title, although one would wan to say Manchester city too is a potential contender for the title but they they have got a more competitive league which is take a good part of their attention the gunners need to quickly see a way to improve their performance els it's another season the cup will elude them.

The season is long, so long. Obviously being top is great but it means nothing really at this time of year Obviously I’d rather be 1st but there is still so much football to be played.

Man City have De Bruyne coming back so that’s going to be a massive plus for them. For Liverpool though, all we can do is take it one game at a time.
