421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance seems to be HACKED once again. KYC documents leaked on: August 07, 2019, 05:23:09 PM
The funny thing about all this is binance is denying having any data breach while innocent people get their information sold for peanuts all over the internet.

I also hear the hackers actually wanted to sell this data back to binance but they thought it was a bluff not until some data was leaked to some news sites for proof of the breach which has got their attention but no official feedback from them...maybe because of what I have read above saying its old news Huh
422  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-07] Binance Has Denied Information About Users Data Leak on: August 07, 2019, 04:41:18 PM
This is the very reason why people try to avoid KYC because we all know that data storage is never 100% secure no matter what they tell us!

And seeing more decentralized exchanges like idex becoming some sort of centralized exchange all requiring KYC we shall soon have no exchange to go to.
423  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Support chainmarketcap.com,for real-time Bitcoin & altcoin prices. on: August 07, 2019, 04:23:01 PM
So you just slapped Coinlib[1]'s price ticker onto your website and add some referral links here and there and simply just call it your own service?

[1] https://coinlib.io

Coinlib provides widgets to be used anywhere, we use their price tickers for now until we develop our own, Crypto is a small community why so much hate as if chainmarketcap are the bankers.LOL Relax it is just price nothing else
Just as others have shown concern about your service

why should we go to your website when coinlib are the actual providers of the real time bitcoin and altcoin prices which you are trying to use as your marketing strategy to drive traffic to your site based on the thread name Huh
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 06, 2019, 09:54:13 PM
If I may, have people been gambling a lot of late or this is all what experience can do Roll Eyes well you don't have to answer this....

And I have read too many valid contributions on the thread and am not sure if I should put them all up in the OP to let on lurkers find these gems of information easy or read for themselves the DIY style....

Anyway keep the contributions coming, will update the thread later on, who knows might be saving someone from blowing their cash savings.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 05, 2019, 07:13:16 PM
Those that have been gambling for a long time will agree with some of these bad habits (if I may call them this) which I have found to have a negative effect on our gambling experience.

Any comments or additions, drop them in the thread Smiley

1. Cancelling a withdraw because the sportsbook takes long to process it or because you saw a game you think will bring easy profit, stop right here.. my advice don't even think about cancelling this it's a trap that will leave you with no money to withdraw.

2. Don't gamble while you are intoxicated, for obvious reasons judgement is impaired and you will be reckless with how you play.

3. Never gamble with money that isn't yours, this includes taking out loans for the purpose of gambling  because this always ends in you losing all the sourced funds and will result in putting yourself in bad books with friends and family.

4. Avoid accumulators, sometimes these are good but if you in it for the money avoid them! I know many will say if you don't risk it you won't win or say something like "go big or go home" but honestly think about it , you place an accumulator with 3 games and 2 games with big odds of 5 and 7 odds go through and you are left with the multiplier of 1.2 odds which goes on to lose Huh I guess you get my logic

5. Avoid gambling when you are angry or feeling emotional about something or someone, this too affects your game. If it helps talk or see someone before you do something you will regret.

Feel free to add more to the list
426  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-08-02]Elliptic Launches Data Set to Identify Crypto Money Laundering on: August 02, 2019, 11:11:16 PM
Cryptocurrency compliance company Elliptic has released the Elliptic Data Set, geared toward identifying cryptocurrency transactions associated with money laundering (AML). The development was announced in a press release shared with Cointelegraph on Aug. 2.

Making the crypto world more transparent
Having developed a data set of 200,000 Bitcoin (BTC) transactions with a total value of $6 billion,  Elliptic claims it to be the largest set of labeled transaction data publicly available in any digital currency in the world.

According to the announcement, the product is designed to help users more efficiently identify illicit transactions, as well as transactions associated with money laundering, sanctions violations or terrorist financing (CFT). At the same time, the product should reduce compliance costs and eventually eliminate criminal activity from cryptocurrencies.

427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Champions Cup 2019 - Discussion thread on: August 02, 2019, 10:47:27 PM
5-0 HT  Lips sealed It's a massacre, Fenerbahce are getting obliterated. But mad props to you for going for 'Fenerbahce to win' (:
There are nothing left for Fenerbahce in this match. The 2nd half has started and I am expecting Bayern to score at least three more goals which will make the score line 8 - 0 LOL

Let's see how this prediction works out 🤪
I wonder how this match ended because football will always have a way to f@##%k with your mind, and I use to think this way that since a half had so many goals the other half will get not less than this but you will be shocked that not a goal comes in such games.

Does anyone else think that all these friendly tournaments In Asia or USA are just a waste of time and a money making machine? Elite clubs have forgotten how a real pre-season preparation should look like.
Sometimes it is a waste of time and money especially when the so called elite teams fail to perform when the main league starts which is disappointing but j should think these competitions are to try out new accusations and also entertaining and appreciating fans from other parts of the world.
428  Economy / Economics / Re: Is institutional capital good or bad for Bitcoin? on: August 02, 2019, 10:26:46 PM
I think this is a double sided sword simply because institutional investors will first be more interested in protecting their money which means introduction of a centralized ecosystem despite bitcoin operating in a decentralized manner.

But overall the benefits could be more than we could lose out from their presence, I guess we need these guys.

429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if btc drops... on: August 02, 2019, 06:27:38 PM
if btc drops to 7-8k range what happens to alts?
7-8k well Bitcoin might shed so much value but I can assure you that for altcoins it is usually worse...which is why the last bearish market left so many altcoins for dead and it had never been the same.

Bitcoin is the basis of most of the altcoins so if btc drops, the altcoins drops also. If you would observe and compare their charts then you will notice the connection they had. The recent price increase last May proves it because of their uncanny relationship.
It could be safe to say that 85% of these coins are affected this way because so coins have demand and pump groups bumping them up.
430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Fight between Litecoin and bitcoincash on: August 02, 2019, 06:20:41 PM
Since yesterday, litecoin and bitcoin cash has been battering for the fourth place in the coinmarketcap. both have been replacing each other at certain interval. whom do you think will maintain the fourth place.
i preferred Litecoin because it is getting more adopted than bitcoin cash.
Ever since coinmarket was deemed unreliable for displaying incorrect information I have not been looking at the charts for quite a while.

And tell you what am surprised that bitcoin cash dropped to fourth because the last time I checked it should have been battering with ethereum but forth damn, things happen so fast.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Identify Cryptocurrency Scams on: August 02, 2019, 04:05:21 PM
Hey, this recently published article on how to avoid risky investments and spot frauds mentions our forum  Cool

Not a bad read but this information as far as I can see should be for the inexperienced users knowing and learning about cryptocurrency investments through platforms like twitter where investors get lured by shills but honestly I for one know that investors didn't get to where they are by investing blindly, due diligence will always be there.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you want to win big...accept defeat on: August 02, 2019, 03:26:12 PM
If you have used some of these well known strategies todate, you will have no problem accepting this theory of defeat( I mean losing) because this all leads to to a win.

And the fact am saying this am not by any chance endorsing these strategies because in the long term the house gets to win.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will bitcoin be replace by ethereum/ripple on: August 02, 2019, 02:38:47 PM
in the near future no one can compete with bitcoin including ethereum maybe ethereum will pass through bitcoin requires a long process and other factors but in my opinion it takes a very long time
Not able to decode this but at present bitcoin is still king and future wise I agree with you we can not predict it but as things stand bitcoin adoption shows no signs of slowing down which is bad news for those counting on ethereum to replace or dethrone it.

There is no need to replace Bitcoin with something else now. The team of Ethereum tries to assure everybody that there is no one cryptocurrency better than ETH. In reality, BTC will remain #1 for a really long time.
Quite true actually, every coin has an area which performs better than the other which makes all coins as important as the other. So bitcoin being number one is no big deal.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is better Government run Lottery or private run Lottery on: August 01, 2019, 11:55:52 PM
Not sure about how government lotteries are run and paid out but I remember having a chat with someone and was told you don't get paid the full amount when you win...I could be miss informed but it makes sense to withhold the cash but hey private lotteries are better because you certainly get your winnings without any external factors being considered.
435  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to sell your data and earn some crypto bucks. on: August 01, 2019, 09:48:59 PM
Selling your personal data is too risky for a small amount of money, you might not see the effect of that but eventually if something bad happen, you’ll regret it. Big companies sold our datas with corresponding regulations, so I’m confident that I’m still secured not unless I decided to sold my identities. Don’t change your security for a small price.
Once you decide to sale to one company you don't know what these guys can do with it and I wouldn't trust them with personal information which could be passed on to other companies in need of this same information without our permission even with non disclosure terms....because we know this is all for show but behind the scene it's a different story.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My eth is hacked ........ on: August 01, 2019, 09:05:18 PM
Bad news for you my friend once funds leave your wallet it's impossible to get your funds back even when you know which wallet these coins are sitting in because only the owner knows the keys if no eavesdropping is involved.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling affect your overall lifestyle? on: August 01, 2019, 07:54:03 PM
With the way gambling has been elaborated in the OP which many players go through then gambling will make your lifestyle very difficult and boring because you will be a broke gambler chasing your loses and bad social skills.
438  Economy / Economics / Re: There were only 3,3% of days In Bitcoin's History That Were Not Profitable on: August 01, 2019, 07:09:10 PM
3.3% that's a shocker!

Thought the percentage would be higher but seeing the number of days been considered this might be true and the fact that their people out there that still make a profit regardless of a bear or bullish market the stats are quite possible.
439  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-30] Largest Wallet Blockchain Just Launched Its First Crypto Exchange on: August 01, 2019, 05:57:02 PM
Am guessing the airdrop they had going for a couple of months was more of a marketing strategy to get more people hooked to its current and future services...and tbh I think everything is falling in place for them and the exchange could easily return this money, just hoping security is on top of their agenda.

And with such news we are getting a step closer to mass adoption just Hope they are bringing a healthy competition to the ecosystem above all.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can lost Bitcoins be traced? on: July 31, 2019, 03:59:25 PM
How is it possible to track lost or stolen Bitcoins?
Wait a minute, isn't there a difference between lost and stolen coins....AFAIK lost could mean a forgotten private key and you can still watch the activity on that address while stolen bitcoins means hacked and moved coins out of your wallet. So in terms of tracking lost coins can be tracked(watched) while stolen coins are likely to be tracked if connection between wallets isn't broken by either a mixer or exchange.
