I used to be young and think that idea sharing/depositories like "shareideas.com" or some similar concept would be a good idea and then I got into business and realized it's pointless. If you have an idea, make it work. If you have an idea and share it openly in public, someone else will make it work and you'll get jack shit. Do the math. EDIT: And for people saying "Oh, Matthew. If we acted like that, nothing would ever get done! Sharing information is caring!", I say to you "Sharing money making ideas with individuals in an incubator environment where there is trust is fine. What if Paypal had heard of Bitcoin before you, adopted it, and made it evil by developing it and marketing it as a controlled version of itself? This strong community we have now would never have existing in its current form, and IF anyone wanted to try to develop against it, they would have seen it as "more of the same" as we currently do for alt-chains. Keep spreading ideas people, but do it with people who fucking know how to make those ideas work. Case in point: the author didn't even register the domain he's proposing. Simple spreadsheet (using OpenOffice  ): Column A = hash, Column B = BTC If you copy the code box above and paste-special it into a spreadsheet as tab separated (but merge multiple separators) That will give you 153 rows in A and B C1 = B1 * 100 Then copy C1 and paste over C2 ... C153 D1 = 0 E1 = C1 - 1 D2 = D1 + C1 Then copy D2 and paste over D3 ... D153 E2 = E1 + C2 Then copy E2 and paste over E3 ... E153 You now have all the number ranges for each row zero based (Hash row shares go from D to E) Someone want to make a google spreadsheet of that? Yep numbers are BTC you have for shares. I guess that number will be multiplied by something like 20 or 100 to determine your shares (I can't remember the decision on that one) If it's 100, then there's a total 20,654 shares Hmm for me 0.726% chance not bad  Exactly. 1.25 would be 125 shares. |
