I just tried a transaction on site for 11.99 while I was talking to customer service. Figured it was a scam but I would test it out to verify to the forums. I did not receive Bitcoin and soon as I processed payment the customer service rep was gone.

I will take donations for time and money lost here: 13turQyXa7zjimyuev5swBZCmJbR5GJ27J

Oh hush. Just reverse the paypal.

You're feeding the trolls. This thread is cancer.

Are you an Atlas?

Do I look like a bitch?
I lol'ed
3603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Treaty on: May 10, 2012, 06:26:19 AM
Did someone dox him yet?

>find atlas
>stop him
>??
>profit

He's a fly. Completely harmless but highly annoying and constantly gets into shit.

He's been doxxed ages ago and no one cared then because he claimed to be a minor. Maybe give it another shot?

I don't want to reveal specifically what features, since they would be easy to stop doing and that would make our job harder, but they are very reliable indicators.

Indeed, he is very predictable, but oblivious to it at the same time.

Which is the most comical part of all.

"I am not Atlas."

He just can't help it.
3606  Other / Meta / Re: klamm.us on: May 10, 2012, 06:00:32 AM
Usually there's nothing on Thursday nights, apart from South Park. I'm glad to see I have a full nights' viewing ahead of me.

(it's Thursday here, in case that didn't make sense. It's actually next Thursday here. Anyone want lottery results?)

It's Thursday here in South Korea too. Where abouts are you?
3607  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Treaty on: May 10, 2012, 05:41:27 AM
There has always been more than one Atlas from the very start. lol

I can't believe no one has noticed this.
Dude, you should really see a therapist. Otherwise, I'm sure that Matthew would be happy to talk with you on the phone again.
Matthew has no idea, lol.

What he means is, I have no idea just how fucked up and dependent on others he is-- and he's right! I'm learning more and more of this everyday.
3608  Other / Meta / Re: klamm.us on: May 10, 2012, 05:36:07 AM
Oh, how I lol'd!

You should have a youtube channel Matthew. That's priceless.  Cheesy

I actually have several youtube channels of weirdness.

Well my first thought is if you publish this very bad code, 5 others will take it and then change it a bit and we will do this all over again.

The code is really bad and it will just end in disaster if they try to use it again.

Just my 2 cents

Agreed. The reason it is really bad is that BitScalper hastily wrote it after he was caught running a ponzi.

* He (supposedly?) gave his personal information to people investing in him, so he would be easy to find and prosecute
Judge, judge! This man stole my virtual internet monies!!!

I expect that if the FBI are treating bitcoin thefts, scams & frauds seriously then judges would do so too

http://www.scribd.com/doc/92797476/FBI-Bitcoin-Report-April-2012
I believe that this FBI report was shown to be a hoax.  I will try to find the reference.

It hasn't been shown to be a hoax yet but the spergy bitcoiner party is eating it up like pancakes without a single verifiable clue afaik.

Such a depressing community we have here. Hey guys! The president just emailed me and he said Bitcoin is the new currency! Trust me! He read it in an anonymous PDF!
3614  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin ATM code is now officially an open source effort. on: May 09, 2012, 04:07:48 AM
I am prepared to purchase and install these machines as soon as someone can iron out the code.  I lack the ability to do that part myself, but will make every effort to bring these to the masses once they are fully functional.

Eric, can you provide some details on how you will deploy these machines?  I wrote the binaries that Todd posted on Github.

Odd, it appeared from this post and the one above it, that you were interested.
What are you really upset about? I have given you and Eric an opportunity to sell your services and recover the investment of your time with no strings attached.
In our entire relationship you articulated only two requests.
The first was about a week after coding began. That I stop asking questions about your code (which of course I did not see or get). You said "the way I see our relationship is you take care of the business side of things and I will take care of the technical (or programming)".
I failed to convey to you what another critic incorrectly said of me "he turns it on like a video game". And another business principle called 'ownership' vrs 'the agency problem'. Money was involved here, Jim. Lots of my money, future investor money and if things should go wrong jail for the CEO (ME!). How ironic that you sent me the following letter the day after Tom Williams of MyBitcoin.com stole from me 1000btc (NO, I DID NOT GET MY 40% BACK).
Jim, I tried to pay you from the beginning but you repeatedly refused. I tried desperately to purchase your source code right up to the day of the Consumer Electronics Show.

Here is your letter:

Subject: Proposal
Categories: bitcoin

Todd,
As you may already know I've always said that equity is not as important to me as the
success of bitcoin. Yes, I admit that I would like to have equity in Bitcoin ATM, but
what I would like to have more is for bitcoin to succeed. If bitcoin succeeds then the
value of bitcoin goes up, all bitcoin owners win, and liberty wins.
So I have a proposal that you may or may not like. I am willing to have 0% equity in
the company in exchange for your blessing to make the bitcoin software open source at
the time of company inception. Why? If the software is open source and the plans are
released online then anyone will be able to build their own ATM. The software will also
be more secure and there will be plenty of programmers working on it. More
importantly, bitcoin has a greater probability of expanding faster.
Bitcoin ATM will have competitors eventually anyway, and for me to see Bitcoin succeed
quickly is worth more than any Bitcoin ATM company. And don't forget that the value
of bitcoin may go up and up and that liberty will prevail. Please give my idea some
serious thought.
Jim

As Jonathan said up above "let the old stuff go"

The ball is in your court but I am not your opponent.

Todd

Am I missing something? I don't see anyone making any personal references to anything aside from you. Why the diatribe and further release of people's private information?

I make a magazine.
3616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin FBI Report April 2012 on: May 08, 2012, 03:35:55 PM
What a waste of 3 pages of forum threads.

We should be dissecting this report and going over it, not debating its legitimacy.

In fact, its extreme accuracy speaks for itself, I think its real.

I'll do that in the Legal subforum.

That begs to ask the question-- why would one dissect it if it's not legitimate?
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin FBI Report April 2012 on: May 08, 2012, 03:33:30 PM
Hey Matthew, maybe you should learn with Matonis ^^ how the real press works...

I'll help him a bit and start with:
1st lesson: Don't just talk out of your ass, investigate.

Firstly, that's not my role at the magazine. That'd be like telling you to make the beds where you work.

Secondly, Matonis is the bomb. If he wants to investigate into the true source of this PDF file, I encourage him to.

Thirdly, has anyone caught that full moon? It's been full and huge for over 3 days now.
3618  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legality of IPOing securities on GLBSE on: May 08, 2012, 03:08:02 PM
IANAL, but it seems that anyone who lost any money on GLBSE has a valid claim against someone, probably GLBSE (they potentially could be considered as UK agents of all the offshore issuers of "securities"). I take it if you are located in UK and lost anything on GLBSE you can ask FSA to make you whole (at expense of GLBSE, most likely). I would guess it is pretty much the same in most jurisdictions.

here is some fun reading:

P.S. Argument that Bitcoin is not money or that it has no value and therefore you can promote unlawfully or illegally assets denominated in BTC is just silly.

It is a criminal offence to fail to comply with the FSMA [Financial Services and Markets Act 2000], the enforcement of which is overseen by the Financial Services Authority

any breach of the Financial Promotion Restriction can be punishable by an unlimited fine and up to two years’ imprisonment; and the same penalties can be applied to all officers who have consented to the breach.

Silly Vladimir. Didn't you hear? Bitcoin is fake money (as long as the government is the one asking, otherwise it's real money tomorrow when someone important asks).

Your skepticism is a little too strident however.

+1 He sounds very afraid, I wonder why?

Because he wanted a signed affidavit from the leaker to make himself feel important because he would protect him under the freedom of the press laws for unpublished magazines on the UK... Roll Eyes

Or he's just mad because being a magazine(?) editor he should be the one to score the scoops, yet he has none to show on his magazine(?) even after 5 months of publishing delay

Breaking news! Guy on forum claims unmarked PDF comes from FBI with no proof whatsoever!

I'll leave that kind of garbage to the tabloids.
