Everything is a scam, panic! After Matthew's funny thread topic title mocking a thread about one of my services with the same title... I think this could be the start of a funny meme. Ironically, I wasn't even aware of any other threads, I just wanted to get people's attention in a cheesy way for a quick laugh. Good to know though.

I'm not sure what to call these things, but if you ever get around to naming 1 millionth of a bitcoin (0.000001) I get dibs on the name "Microshi".

I don't have any opinion on the content because I did not open it seeing as I only got ONE. Maybe if my order was filled correctly and/or you didn't have a stupid digital issue release schedule I could give you my opinion.
That sucks. It's unfortunate your order was filled incorrectly. Since I have the new list, if you've done as you were asked and sent a message to info@bitcoinmagazine.co.uk then I already have your request in today's mailer for the printers. I can't stress enough to yourself and others that shipping problems although maybe commented on here, will never be handled over the forums. It's unprofessional and creates customer information privacy concerns. I will say though that if anyone ordered their issues and didn't get -all- of them as ordered and I can prove that, I will push for a faster shipping method for the replacement to try to make up for the lost time.

Well, looks like there's another ink issue, this one on the back cover. Are you sure that's not blood? I had to kill a mother fucker who was in my way to get that to your door

The ink issue really bothers me. Either you guys are all Aqua men, or our printer has some 'splainin to do Lucy.

So what is the ETA for the general use?
I don't know but this is the email I got from them. Hello Everyone!
We'd like to thank you all for all of the bug reports you generated for us.
For the next couple weeks, we're closing our private beta. Any accounts created during our private beta will be closed as well. Your balances were kept and we'll be creating a withdrawal page shortly so you can withdraw your funds.
Next, we're moving into phase two of our launch plan, which is a security hardening phase. We'll be going incognito for the rest of our development timeline so we can move to dedicated hardware, initiate penetration testing, and complete our comprehensive security audit.
We'll keep you updated, and be ready to launch to the public very soon! Yep. We're hardening up and getting ready for a proper release. The response to Kronos has been overwhelming. I think people really want it, and it is proving to be an awesome replacement to Bitcoinica thanks to ZipConf.

You've been Matthewed guys. This thread isn't about the magazine at all - there's already a thread for that. It's Matthew way of reminding people that he's going to Iceland. Lucky bugger.
Did you get your magazine yet?

It won't be such a secret when thousands of businessmen are holding the Bitcoin Magazine and start to buy bitcoins to see what happens. It also won't be very secret when Chinese members start buying Bitcoins to use Kronos for margin trading. Nor will it be very secret when the BitDex is finally mass manufactured and everyone is able to spend bitcoins from the palm of their hands, at universities, stores, etc.
2012 is going to be a very eventful year. I don't gamble myself, but if anyone was interested in buying bitcoins for less fiat and selling them for more fiat later, I'd say the next 60 days would be a good time to start the buying.

No matter how big or small, every magazine lives or dies by its readership (or deep pocketed propaganda spewing backers). From day one I have wanted this to be an organically grown magazine that not only reflects what the community wants, but also focuses on the future health of the digital currency and related issues as well. We'll never be able to make everyone happy, but there are more elements to consider in representing a project like Bitcoin than just keeping some people on a forum happy. - How outsiders perceive Bitcoin
- How outsiders perceive Bitcoiners
- How outsiders perceive Bitcoin's agenda
- How leading news sources perceive the credibility of the magazine
- How businessmen interested in investing in the bitcoin economy see the Bitcoin economy
Speaking strictly for profits and losses, running this niche magazine for the benefit of Bitcoiners only would be suicide and a non-starter. I bet we'd never hit 10,000 issues a month inside the Bitcoin community alone. Outside however, we could do 50,000 with proper marketing. For the first time in Bitcoin's history, it has something credible, legitimate and proper speaking for it, something that truly seeks the opinions of its supporters. Something like that can never be limited to just a forum full of grumpy burned investors or childish script kiddies. Since this forum is still virtually unknown, full of garbage, and more or less difficult to deal with for the average sane person, I've created a subreddit for the magazine. I'm not even a fan of reddit, but what works, works. From now on, if you have any issues with the magazine's quality, content, direction, editorials, faculty, representation of Bitcoin, etc, please discuss it there in depth. For those of you who are just too fucking lazy, don't complain when your voice isn't heard. I started the ball rolling with the first post. Don't ever let it be said I didn't try to keep the community involved. (I also tip at restaurants) http://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMagazine/comments/ubvfb/so_you_received_your_first_issue_of_the_bitcoin/EDIT: To some this post might come off a bit harsh, but it's intended to just be honest. I support a great majority of initiatives that have started from this forum, but I do not think this forum is "bitcoin" nor do I want to allow Bitcoin and all related initiatives to be held back by the shortcomings of the forum.

It is not as though the letters are just melting off the page.
If it were, I'd just say that this is what Vladimir was referring to when he said "some issues would be more collectible than others". lol NEW MINING RIG EDITION-- MELTS IN YOUR HANDS

You idiots crossed the line!

upon closer inspection, the only problem i was referring to was the illustration on pages 14 and 15. it was chronologically a bit hard for me to follow, and some of the speech bubbles were cut off.
Lame! I'll make a note of it.

Whatever it is it is all Matthew's fault.
Agreed.

my only "issue", is that some of the words in some of the article are a hair too close to the spine of the mag, and it is a pain in the ass a bit to read them. otherwise, fantastic work.
An action shot would be the best way to show this. If you have a way to do this, please post it here. The bleed we worked with shouldn't have caused any issues but as I am the one managing layout and design it is important to know if it's an error on my side or on the printers. Matt he's talking about the "gutter". the inside edge of the pages. also the place where your mind goes on a regular basis... Hehe. Yea, I know, I accounted for that (I thought) but I'd love to see it with my own eyes if anyone wants to take a picture of it so I can know just how difficult it is to read. As for my mind, it was lost long ago when I got involved in a spergy libertard currency.

I will be critiquing the loving shit out of the issues when I'm actually holding one in my hand, but until then I rely on everyone here to give an honest and constructive review. Let's make this thread the official "issues with my issue" thread. If anyone is experiencing a smearing of their pages, please report which page it is happening on because that may make the difference between a free reprint for us and just switching printers in the long run.
