In other news: The magazine is still not out.

I can't wait to read those half-a-year old articles that I paid for months ago!!! Cheesy

You don't actually think we'd publish the magazine with outdated articles do you?  Roll Eyes

Your question assumes that I think you are going to publish a magazine. It is therefore flawed.

I don't see a refund request from you so apparently you do, and not only do you believe we'll publish it, you agree that it will be extremely valuable both to you personally for collectors value and also to the Bitcoin community as a whole. Thank you for the vote of confidence regardless of what FUD your alter ego/evil twin posts here.

The correct response to this thread should have been "Use http://blockchain.info".

This thread smells like Atlas.

I don't get flustered. If you meant the red face, it's from looking at Yoon Yeonghwa photos.

Hahahaha ...good one  I figured maybe the red face was from you trying to blow that load of crap outta ur ass !

OH GOD. How did you know I was in the can pooping while using my iphone?
3911  Other / Off-topic / Re: MNW - Getting a Well Deserved beat down on Reddit currently.... on: April 06, 2012, 08:45:05 PM
This is all a ridiculously predictable cycle of creating spam accounts, downvoting en masse any rebuttals, etc. I feel sorry for anyone who actually depends on reddit for business.

[ agree I wish the person would come forward that would be cool but then again since when has Matthew been honest with his dealings he deleted a bunch of threads with him accusing me of things. Dick.

Actually the mods deleted them, along with all of your responses because we were both off-topic. Nice selective memory you have there.

Also literally lawl@"beatdown". This is a few trolls who are trying desperately to spam certain keywords to try to smear something that other people have put a lot of work into.

Be sure to let me know when my reputation is ruined or something. So far it seems to only validate what everyone already knows-- I'm popular with those who like producing, and unpopular with those who wasted half their life being unproductive and following a broken machine.

While matthew n wright is a dick, I hope there will be consequences for this witch hunt of his person. It's obviously just a single person using multiple accounts to spread ridiculous accusations. Deserves at least a ban from r/bitcoin for baseless libel.

Especially since the person isn't even brave enough to stand up, but instead using throwaways, clearly showing his intentions are purely to troll and not to actually come with any proof, or present a case.

This. All I see are keywords "scam","Bruce wagner", etc. Nothing even remotely interesting. The last time I was trolled people at least had the decency to look up some information about me (even if it was lazy and only information I published myself). God. The trolls are getting weak around here.

edit: plus isn't trolling for the lulz right ? why the serious face on reddit then Matthew ?

Sounds like you're outing yourself.

lol ya,ya that is it ...wouldn't be the first time you accused me of something so why not!  ... I must be a good troll I got you all flustered Tongue

Sorry, I didn't want to read the 44 pages of excuses and shit talk to get an answer to my question.  When exactly can we expect to see our purchases in our mailboxes?

When exactly can we expect to see our purchases in our mailboxes?

While I don't expect to get an exact date, I'm curious too:

When do you expect to ship the Bitcoin magazine (specifically in the US)?

We expect it to be in the mailboxes of US citizens 10 days from shipping to the printers. Since the proof is still be finalized, no one has received their printed or digital copies yet. Your pre-orders are greatly appreciated and your patience will not go unrewarded.

P.S. Haters be hatin'. Cheesy

Are the comments on the article not working?

No they were not, they are now and I just cross-posted there, humbly awaiting moderator's approval and strangling kittens just to stay cool .

I noticed the comments weren't working correctly and/or were kind of hard to find. For that I owe an apology. I hope the issue with the article is cleared up speedily.
3915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Magazine on: April 05, 2012, 02:55:19 PM
First, there won't be any discussions on publishing or distribution details.  Now we've been directed to comment on the source of the article's page, for it's clearly shown that a discussion about an article in the Bitcoin Magazine would be better served if not bought forward here on this thread or elsewhere on this forum. The same thread of the same forum whose users offered up a myriad of suggestions during Bitcoin Magazine's inception for its betterment, in which many ideas were embraced, thus starting a snowball effect of said magazine's ability to obtain subscribers and advertisers.

That said, would somebody representing Bitcoin Magazine be so kind as to outline exactly what we can discuss on your official thread here on BitcoinTalk? Also, please offer up any other taboo subject matter so that users here won't be embarrassed when they inevitably may cross the line.

~Bruno~

I get the feeling you want to paint this as a conspiracy of sorts, so I'll explain.

Reader has problem with an article by a particular writer commissioned by the magazine. Reader can respond directly to the article for all other readers to discuss but most importantly for the author to see and respond to, defend if necessary, correct if necessary, apologize if necessary. Vitalik doesn't read this thread and I'm not going to relay messages to him when an open channel already exists.

This thread is about the magazine, not about individual article opinions. Feel free to troll about the shipping not having happened yet, the quality of the paper stock, etc, but when it comes to things like "Hey! Please get the guy who did this image in here and explain why he draw this sideways!", I kind of have to draw a line somewhere.

Start a new thread about it if you want, but don't expect the author to even know it exists. Bitcointalk != Bitcoin Magazine's personal forum. We already have plenty of communication channels and our own forums, bitcoin.org.uk. On that note, why aren't you over there Bruno? We need more good straight thinking people who aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe but are equally capable of admitting mistakes. It seems like there are maybe 10 people on this entire forum with those qualities sometimes.

3916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Magazine on: April 05, 2012, 12:13:28 PM
I stumble upon a "review" of Instawallet by Vitalik Buterin inb the magazine: it s very opinionated about the service we are running for free at our own expenses by stating it is "the least secure ".
Based on what and compared to what ?
Has there been a single occurence of fraud with instawallet.org ? None.
Adding an s to suggest with " instawallets" that this service is generic equates to condemning us to stand for any service ressembling ours failing in any manner for any reason.

In short, why send missiles on a website that is just trying to provide one of the easiest way to step into the bitcoin economy ?

This is not the best way to make newbies comfortable about using bitcoin.

Are the comments on the article not working?

That is the appropriate place to address inquiries to a specific article author.

@OP:

It's always fun finding things like this, ain't it?

Numismatic senses are tingling and telling me that you have quite a few Fine/Very Fines in there. Take them to a dealer or sell them individually on eBay.

(Or if you really want to have some fun with them, use them in the Bitcoin community by selling them, giving them away as promotions, or anything else fun. You only live once.)

This source also claims that Kluge has an agreement to take a large amount of the dividends off the top from now on. I don't know how I feel about him doing this, but I have faith that Chaang Noi will not let this affect his other investors profits.
3920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Royal Canadian Mint just announced a new alternative to BitCoin on: April 04, 2012, 05:45:47 PM
Thread title is inaccurate. It's not an alternative to Bitcoin because it's centralized and requires trust in one entity. It's a competitor, however, because it competes on an electronic functionality level.

Exactly. And compete it shall!
