441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ron Paul's Presidential Campaign Now Accepts Bitcoins through Tradehill! on: July 27, 2011, 01:29:52 AM
RP is a great educator, but he doesn't apply his conclusions about the state to all fictitious institutions (namely religion).
I also was a fan of RP until I watched an interview in which he denied evolution.  (And I might point out that he is a medical doctor.)

To disreguard everything else someone says because they don't believe in evolution is pretty lame.

I'm not religious at all but I don't even know if I believe in evolution.  Its a nice theory.

As far as this thread, I think the title is misleading and should be changed.
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill - Why we no longer accept Dwolla and an open letter to Ben Milne on: July 27, 2011, 01:02:29 AM
Bastards! I went on their facebook page (I was the only one making a fuss on there) and posted a direct link to the open letter and asked them to please tell their side.  They replied by saying, "we are not a member of that forum, do you have any specific questions that we can answer"

I said yes, I guess my main question would be why are you guys ignoring Tradehills attempts to clarify a huge problem (something like that I dont know exactly what I typed.... I also said that "there are hundreds if not thousands of Dwolla users on that forum, that doesn't bother you? "

I came home to see if they responded and they blocked me from their page or deleted it all together cause I can't access it anymore through facebook.

EDIT TO ADD: if you use facebook it wouldn't hurt to "like" their page and give them a little push. Smiley

I kindly requested that they fix this situation with tradehill on their facebook wall.  Surprised I was the first one. lol
445  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paypal is a b*tch. on: July 26, 2011, 05:34:40 AM
I'm surprised you can have a domain called paypal sucks without being sued.  I had a domain with paypal in the name, it was going to be an exchange between paypal and epassporte, it was called paypal2epassporte.com (i think that was it).  I never did do anything with it, basically because epassporte was having problems.  A few months back I got an email from paypal telling me not to use it for anything.  I just ignored the emails, eventually the emails got more and more threatening.  The last one said a lawyer would be getting in touch with me.  I finially emailed them back and said I wasn't gonna do anything with it and i was just gonna let it expire, then they said ok this situation is resolved.

Crazy stuff. haha
446  Economy / Speculation / Re: You might want to cancel some of your sell orders! on: July 26, 2011, 05:26:58 AM

Bill gates just called me and his dwolla has cleared.  He's logging on the Mt. Gox right now to buy all the rest of the bitcoins.

Bill also informed me that after his dwolla clears and he buys bitcoins he will call his bank and reverse the transaction.

Can't we have just one good month of trading without any "tragedy's?"

450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the rally train leaving the station at $14? on: July 25, 2011, 03:58:06 PM
I sold my 12 month hoard of bitcoins at 15.5 on the way down as the bitcoin bubble deflated.  In the past week, the price trend has stopped declining, and a couple of large purchases have not been countered by like sales.

This morning I bought back in via small lots at about 14.1.  And I've stopped selling my daily mined bitcoins.

Is the bubble deflated and the rally train leaving the station, or do you guys see more bubble deflation ahead?

451  Economy / Speculation / Re: Alternative Indications of Price Trends on: July 25, 2011, 04:35:24 AM
I've never heard the buying high selling low strategy.. seems like that isn't very smart?
452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump up the volume?!? on: July 25, 2011, 04:25:47 AM
Amazing what you see float by on the bitcoin monitor.

453  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BitcoinPayflow.com - New hosted payment gateway for merchants on: July 25, 2011, 01:40:10 AM
Looks great. I might try this.  I have one one question.  I'm not all savvy with the forms and stuff.  If I wanted to gather the persons shipping address, would that be done on your form and sent to me or would I have to make a seperate form to direct the person to after payment is made?
454  Economy / Speculation / Re: I feel somehow that the rally is closer than 1 week before on: July 24, 2011, 10:11:23 PM
I believe the bot trading is distorting the charts making die-hard chartists see things that aren't there.  The large volume while flatlined (relative to historical activity w/o bots) is making the MACD and friends look like it's trending up when in reality it may be showing divergences which just aren't there.

In other words, heavy bot activity is NOT representative of trader sentiment, the very thing charting is supposed to measure.

So, mostly sitting on the sidelines and gathering data for my bitcoin strategy.  Slowly going long through mining in accordance with long term trend.

One could argue that since traders program the bots the bots are just doing what the trader would do.  So they do represent trader sentiment in a way.
455  Economy / Speculation / Re: And so the dumping begins.. on: July 24, 2011, 02:37:14 PM
I'm still wondering which charts you people are looking at.  The price looks the most stable its ever been with a bunch of bots fighting over pennies from 13.62 to 13.69 or something.

460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mention on Alex Jones Today & Mention of Bitcoin Forum URL on: July 22, 2011, 11:06:27 PM
Great job man!  Were you nervous talking to the AJ man himself? lol

Wouldn't be surprised. It's pretty common to be nervous calling a talk show. Hell, I was nervous when I was a GUEST on Alex Jones.

The main things to remember are: Keep your points very short and to the point, and if the host wants to blather on for a while, let him go. He'll run out of breath eventually.

When were you a guest?
