I can attest for a strong confirmation bias. Otherwise, he seems to have seen fight, which means that there is very little chance he will change his mind because that would mean that he has killed and fought for the wrong reasons. It takes a very special individual to recognised big mistakes, so expect a continuous line of "US is bad", "RF is doing the right thing", ...

Also, being soldier (except for psychopaths) requires believing that you are actually fighting for a cause. Forget about him accepting that this war is about the oil & gas corridors and the reaffirmation of the old USSR territorial controls. He is all about "fighting the US" and the capitalists.

You didn't read carefully...fact that I was in war and fought against Serbs doesn't mean I have to follow
mainstream narrative...specially because its always simplistic and mostly propaganda BS...both in
our war and this one in Ukraine

Your geopolitical reasons "oil & gas corridors and the reaffirmation of the old USSR " are right ones...only problem is that
you intentionally left out other half

I suggest you read few books from William Engdahl and John Perkins

"When will there be a Chancellor who will have the courage to tell Washington this far and no further. Where does this German addiction to submission come from when you see how German journalists and politicians behave towards Washington?

When you think of your own people, there is only one solution: open Nord Stream 2 to prevent the worst. De Gaulle still knew that states have interests, not friends. Just as the Americans have been trying for 100 years to prevent German technology from merging with Russian raw materials (George Friedman), the federal government should finally see that the sanctions are not harming Russia and the USA, but primarily Germany and Europe."

Will this war finally ends ever?

You're doing great job spreading hatred between Russians and Ukrainians, almost as good as UK secret service did in Bosnia,
between Croats and Bosniaks

Only russians and people like you help to spread hatred. The best way to get a lot of hate is to invade sovereign country and kill its citizens with women and children. Oh, that's what Russia doing.

So i Doubt that it needs help on this forum. Russian orcs fine with their task without aside help

This was before invasion

I wonder if they treat an American like that, if they would outright kill Russian

8th July 2022: In occupied Shakhtarsk, Donetsk region, an ammunition depot of rusnya explodes. This is the  21 st  event  of the number of similar ones that have occurred in the row in  the last a few days period.

Oh... what do you mean? You think that there may be people in Donbas that do not feel liberated enough? Dammit!  Ukrainians were not supposed to fight back!

No, no, no... a much better explanation is that the RF soldiers are again being too eager on their smoking habits before the perspective of being gloriously sent to become planting pots.

Wrong facts, wrong analysis, wrong conclusions - you are creating a personal brand on biasing informaiton.

The RF had better infrastructure, was more industrialised and was able to exert much more diplomatic and military influence than Ukraine. "elect power" is elect a government. It is much better than "take power", like Adolf Putin because if it does not work, you can vote to change it without killing anyone. Ukraine has a future beyond being a oil exporter (of oil that many would rather not buy).

In practice, Moscow rules for the Russians, precisely for the Russian Kleptocrats. Adolf Putin has no interest in developing Ukraine - for him this is just a buffer land from which to steal agricultural goods and use it to keep some burnable land between Moscow and Germany. There is not a case for Ukraine as a country wanting to be under the direction of the current RF government.

Edited to add: Ukraine is also in the path of the oil exports. How inconvenient.

Wrong...strange as it may seem, Putin is fighting for Germany too, to let them free from real scum, Anglosaxons

Yes, you can draw any numbers, for rashism, propaganda and lies are a systemic process, so to speak, the basis of the Russian world Smiley
Tell us more about palm oil, which Russia consumes the most (maybe asphalt is covered, right? Smiley ). About the fall of industrial production, and agriculture as well.

I'm sorry if numbers present problems for you, but people use numbers to prove or disprove opinions.

For example, these numbers tell me that your opinion is mostly BS:

As I said, MSM brainwashed

By the way, an interesting observation: everyone noticed that after problems arose in Russia, after its terrorist attack on Ukraine, ALL THE WORLD TERRORISM ORGANIZATIONS SILLED !!! A similar situation was when the USSR again "rose from its knees" and begged all over the world for at least some food, when there was no money for their fosterlings like ISIS, Hamas and the like. Coincidence ? Smiley

We can only conclude that you're sheep whose mind is controlled by MSM
469  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 04, 2022, 07:02:01 AM
If anything I would say that the Russians bent over backward to NOT 'take Kiev' and to keep 'their president' among the living.  Zelenski is the worst thing which every happened to Ukraine (or at least the worst thing for a long time) and consequently is a giant boon for the outcome of the special military operation that the Russians and the separatists are undertaking.  And he's a gift which keeps on giving!

You do not quite understand the essence of the normal structure of the state and the role of the people, or you live in Russia Smiley
In Ukraine, power is not a sacred value, as, for example, in Russia, where even a crazy under-furrer can rule the country and everyone will worship him. In Ukraine, power is elected by the people, and if necessary, the people are removed, and even ahead of schedule Smiley An example of this is 2014 and the cowardly thief Yanukovych. Having all the power and strength, he was still forced to cowardly flee to Russia.
I am not a supporter of Zelensky, and I am sure that he will have to answer for many of the "unpleasant stories" that have occurred during his term since 2019.

Since, despite having the best resources and starting position out of all former soviet republics, Ukraine was still far worse economically than Russia,
only conclusion could be that people are generally stupid and didn't "elect power" properly

The Ministry of Dark Humour and Fantasyland tales must have been under budget cuts to come out with the story of "good will gesture" to leave Snake Island. I confess I had a good laugh at that one.

Despite how fancy and cool this island looks from the strategic point of view (perfect for early warning or as naval base) Ukraine decided long ago that is much easier to attack than to defend. The RF Chief Psychos had to first loose the Moskva, then a few other minor ships (along with wasting the lives of their crews for nothing) and ground troops to figure it out.

Good gesture my ass.

Russians used their superb science to resurrect dead Snake Island defenders...can you point at better than that Ukrainian
gesture? Ukrainians just want to kill without warning instead

I am missing your point. Irony is fun when well played.

RF had to leave the island forcefully. Pretending that's a gesture is laughable and yes, it did cost them troops, ships and equipment. Ukraine "losses" were a small unit way at the beginning of the war that was probably testimonial. And for what some Kremlin trolls argue, they are not dead, they surrendered.

Nono, they died heroically

In recent days name of Konashnenkov were mentioned few times here. So, finally someone spend some time and debunked his lies in detail. So, how surprising, but according to him, Russia destroyed more Ukraine army hardware than they actually have. For example, they destroyed 84 Bayraktar drones, 20 more than Ukraine ever had:
https://meduza.io/en/feature/2022/06/30/according-to-russia-s-press-releases-they-ve-destroyed-more-military-hardware-than-ukraine-ever-had

Yes. Here is compilation of all russian propaganda "statistic"

First column - "was at the start"
Second one - "provided by westerners"
Third column - "destroyed"

Look at numbers: For example, russian "destroyed" ALL ukrainian UAV of all types (1049 from 1049). Funny BS

Its probably made up by Ghost of Kiev, he has a lot of free time now that Russians destroyed all of his planes

I would not like to pedal the question of Lithuania in this topic, but I will still add a few words. Lithuania is the little rabid dog of the United States, which barks loudly in any direction the boss from Washington points to. Last year, Lithuania managed to quarrel with China, suddenly preoccupied with the issue of oppression of the Uyghurs and was about to open a representative office in Taiwan. Now she is trying to spoil Russia by interpreting the EU sanctions in her own way. Obviously, this is a provocation with the aim of causing an excessively harsh response from Russia. Well, at the level of verbal interventions, the provocation was a success. There are no real actions yet, we'll see.

The fact that Kremlin is seriously pissed at Lithuania shows that for once they (Lithuanian government) are doing something right, even if forced by the EU.

For too long the politics in the Baltic states was influenced by the fear of turning the gas off or other "sanctions" from Russia. Too many pro-Russian politicians and just plain morons longing for Soviet times. Finally a chance to clean that shit out, hopefully they won't squander it. It's been 30 years, time to move on.

It's funny how all Russian trolls suddenly discovered that Lithuania actually exists and is very evil. Any nazis there? Kinda slow with the narrative, should have found someone with a swastika tattoo by now.

Actually, its time to finally drive americans out of EU and start to be independent. It would be tough, though, as through operation Gladio
USA installed former nazi terrorist cells in all EU countries, to prevent that from happening

Meanwhile, the cauldron in Gorsky-Zolotoye slammed shut, the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirms information about the loss of Ukrainian control over the settlements of Loskutovka and Rai-Aleksandrovka. This also creates the prerequisites for the encirclement of Lisichansk.

An the limited EU sanctions (not Lithuania, but EU) in Konigsberg create the conditions for a full blockade or Konigsberg. Yes, that RF port that is open to the Atlantic even in winter.

Make no mistake, the day the US decides that Adolf Putin looses in Donbas, the young soldiers in there will die and Putin will loose. That may or may not happen, it can be sooner, later or even never. I would not like to be one of the guys that finds out the hard way.

It seems you just got front seats

So much wishful thinking on this thread... "when NATO disappears...", "when Poland invades Ukraines...", "when the RF wins...", "when RF circumvents sanctions...", "when China does this and that..."

This is becoming fantasyland, while people flee the RF by the hundreds of thousands, loose their jobs on western firms that close, see the Rouble struggle, see the EU starting a de-coupling process, see weapons sent to Ukraine...

How feeble are "predictions" when compared to the hard facts pointing exactly in the opposite direction. Is like Adolf Putin in the "World Economic Forum of St Petersburg" (chuckle) saying that RF economy is stable and going well... Following to the letter Sun Tzu's "when you are weak, try to appear strong" once more, with the problem being that the bluff has been called.

Ruble struggle? LOL
More like unstoppable

The logic is very simple - Ukraine now really needs some kind of significant military victory over Russia, so that the flow of military aid from the West will increase significantly and not dry up at all. And for this, to provoke Russia into a suicidal assault on the powerful fortified areas in Avdiivka is a good enough idea. Yesterday, at an economic forum in St. Petersburg, Putin said that a direct assault on Avdiivka is not expedient (in other words, Russia cannot afford it now).

Now, in response, explain what logic Russia has to shell the residential areas of Donetsk, when the DPR is an ally of Russia in this operation and the main goal of Russia is to protect the Donbass?
I don't know, it still doesn't make sense why Ukraine would need to do it. In recent weeks Ukraine losing 100-200 soldiers every day, it's huge number, it's difficult to imagine that at same time they would want to provoke Russia to attack them in another direction.
In your link Putin said that they don't want to turn cities that they ''liberate'' into another Stalingrad, though, they already did it with Mariupol.
Actions of Russia don't always have logic. I don't know who exactly did it, Russia or DPR, but im general it's same stuff. No idea why they are doing it. Maybe DPR are doing it in order to get more help from Russia and that they would intensify actions against Ukraine. And I'm not saying that Ukraine didn't shell Donetsk.

Anglosaxons will defend their property in Ukraine down to the last Ukrainian

This is interesting (i mean anthropological interest) russian propaganda take: west will fight against russia till last ukrainian.
Why it's interesting? Mostly because it shows ukrainians as some kind of brainless animals - 1
And second, more important point is that russians bombing ukrainian cities, killing ukrainian people, raping ukrainian women, stealing ukrainian goods. And then they like "oh, why ukrainians fighting??? Because The West tell them to do so"

True story, yeah.

Yugoslavia

Yugoslavia doesn't exist. You have lost in the time, dude.

Ordinary people everywhere are mostly brainless, not only in Ukraine.
About Yugoslavia - my point exactly
