I bought a new card, RX 5700XT Gigabyte, I can do 53.5 with 105w 1280 cc, 735mv, Memory at 1870mhz
The core temperature is very good, 60c to 65c, but the memory temperature is 102c  Huh

is it normal to have such temperature at memory? I know these new AMDs are hot, but never seen this temperature on my GPUs

Its probably one of those early cards with faulty coolers that have some distance between cooler and memory

884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: May 15, 2020, 09:04:05 PM
Ripple is struggling to hold this position, talking about $5 or $500 dollars is impossible without achieving half a dollar! And looks like ripple is far from that.

For now maybe if you have already loss your trust or you have not trust Ripple.

it's ATH was I think $4 or close to it, so 5$ is not really that hard to achieve, if bitcoin will reach $30,000 which is possible, then altcoins might be bullish again, However, I don't think it will reach $500, though still not impossible but it's close to impossible.

I am sure when there's hype in the market again people will begin trusting this coin and put a hype on it as well.

$500 is possible if XRP would completely replace fiat money held around the globe in nostro/vostro accounts.
Even if Ripple proves to be 1000 times technically better, cheaper etc, that won't happen overnight
for political/economical reasons, as it would have tremendous effect globally

xrp to replace fiat money ? i thought what can replace fiat is something that has a simillar characteristic on it but xrp fail with that because the value of xrp is unstable and also verry cheap .  we need atleast equivalent to 1 usd which and has a stable value.  but to the question that if ripple will ever reach 5 usd well i think no . xrp has been alot of hater so this means not enough supporters to pump the coin but ripples value right now is not bad anyway and its better than most alts value

Do you know the difference between fiat money and fiat money held in nostro and vostro accounts?

I don't know if ripple can reach that high, to say some fact ripple has a big problem with its max supply, honestly it's way too huge, burn feature is needy here, I did heard that ripple wants to implement smart contract too, that can boost price in future if there is enough interest

max supply is totally irrelevant...you could say that BTC has supply of 2100000000000000 satoshis and it cant go up, because omg, look at that number
Of course, max price IS dependable on supply, but in XRP case, its also dependable on use case, and based on adoption, it can go anywhere from 0 to more than $500

With most coins who use coin burn tactic, its just a way to lure naive people, kind of clever ponzi with built in honeypot

Fun fact, XRP has built in coin burn, its just not fast enough for people who want to use "find ponzi, invest, get out on time" type of investors
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [OMG] OmiseGO - Speculation & Discussion on: May 15, 2020, 10:25:26 AM
omisego pump because COINBASE but will drop 0.71 cents before the listing, dont buy now
It is also uncertain, OMG may stabilize at the current price or increase further. Coinbase is a best-rated exchange, it can support the coin better, the liquidity here is also very good. It will be listed in the next few days, people can still invest at this time.

Indeed, specially since OMG dropped much more than other alts...for example, it dropped around 10X vs ETH, too

889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: May 12, 2020, 06:53:44 AM
@Raja_MBZ. I also posted an article about Moneygram dumping all the XRP that are paid to them by the Ripple decelopment team because according to Moneygram, they might be chargeable under law on holding XRP.

It appears that Ripple is continuing to pay them XRP to use their platform and Moneygram is also continuing to dump them hehe.

Ripple has paid money services firm MoneyGram more incentives in the first quarter of 2020, amounting to a total of $16.6 million.

The publicly-traded remittance company revealed the figure in its Q1 financial results, published on Friday, saying that its total operating expenses include "Ripple market development fees of $16.6 million, partially offset by related transaction and trading expenses of $4.5 million."

Ripple pays MoneyGram incentives for using its RippleNet solution, and MoneyGram categorizes these payouts as a "contra expense rather than revenue" and as a "market development fee based on the volume of foreign exchange that we transact on Ripple's platform."

Read in full https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/63855/ripple-paid-16-6-million-in-xrp-incentives-to-moneygram-in-q1-2020

While MoneyGram receives incentives in XRP, it does not hold the digital asset for long. "We sell XRP as soon as we receive it – we don't hold any XRP," a MoneyGram spokesperson told The Block earlier this year.

Source https://www.theblockcrypto.com/daily/58860/we-sell-xrp-as-soon-as-we-receive-it-says-moneygram-on-ripple-incentive-payments

But., but...you forgot important parts:

"Reported 57% Digital transaction growth for the quarter, marking a continued acceleration from the fourth quarter 2019. Performance was driven by market expansion, high customer retention rates, and strong demand for the MoneyGram app
As the crisis unfolded, MoneyGram quickly shifted its marketing and operational focus to its online and digital capabilities to ensure customers were able to continue to seamlessly send and receive money from the safety of their own homes, in more than 70 countries
At quarter end, Digital transactions accounted for 18% of all money transfer transactions, and this percentage has grown significantly to 28% in the first 27 days of April
MoneyGram Online, comprising 73% of the Digital business, remained a key driver, with transaction growth of 60% for the quarter, and 66% in the post-COVID period, powered by:
Triple-digit growth in both the U.S. Outbound and International markets
App downloads increasing 46%
App transaction growth exceeding 200%
Improvements in customer retention rates of 23%, and monthly active customers of 40%
Transactions sent direct-to-account or wallet increased 80%, and in April these growth rates have improved further to more than triple digits"

This is a SCAM... frm the begining i think that coud be a good project, but the big boom of 2017 make CRYPTO in to a shit... you only have to do token, wihte paper, web page and wait for the people to give you the money... i contact with them to ask about the situation and this is the answer 28/01/2020.

 Thank you for your message.

Following our next Board meeting we will update the technical roadmap accordingly. As a result of the activity of the defendants, Abdul Alim and Shaz Mughal, the business is in a particularly vulnerable state. However the management team are working with the current shareholders to determine a viable strategy for the future of the business.

892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: May 03, 2020, 08:37:38 AM
For ripple to reach the price of $5 per token means that ripple till grow their market capitalization to almost $195b which in any layman's terms is practically impossible.  With much adoption ripple will grow for sure. But growing to a whopping $5 per token for now its impossible and I don't see how that can happen now

it is not just $195bilion, that is a number with current coins in circulation, and in a few years, number of tokens in circulation will grow, so we are talking of $500 billion with maximal number of coins in circulation on a $5USD price per coin, which is really something unreachable from today perspective

Ripple intends to replace SWIFT. and SWIFT transfers $5000 billion per day...so its a big numbers game

There is 27 trillion USD in nostro accounts, and in ideal case for Ripple, XRP would be worth 27 trillion, divided by XRP circulated numbers

This is pretty old project by blockchain standards, is there a reason
why there is no data about it on CMC, Coingecko etc (market cap, circulating and max supply etc)?

Double check in Adrenaline. 10-12 mh/s is the result of graphics mode 99% of the time.

Actually, that is the result of RX560, and he said he has RX570, which should run around 20MH/s
without compute mode, OC and bios modifications

Is it not amazing to anyone that we are now seeing analysts talking about a bullish run to 30 cents? When the same analysts not so long ago were talking about 50 cents,,, and a year before than talking about $2 or even $3. That is impossible to realize if you just conveniently forget,,, but people have short memories.

You conveniently forgot 1m, 500k, 300k etc BTC predictions?

How can we pay with FNP? Seems like they prefer cash, like any other store
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: April 22, 2020, 10:58:35 PM
To reach $5 for the Ripple is a big target while we compare the other giant Bitcoin and the Ethereum. From the current traded value at $0.20 to the $0.30 to reach to $5 is almost more than 25 times. But, if the super bull will come like the 2017 bull market then only it will be possible  for this target price.
I think that even if a bull comes, as in 2017, XRP will still not have enough strength to grow to the price of $ 5, you need at least twice as strong a bull as it was in 2017.

XRP doesn't need bull at all, it only need to be used by banks more

900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: April 21, 2020, 07:09:49 AM
Tell me why SIA is not a shitcoin.

if you think that SIA is a shitcoin, simply find another topic and follow another project
5 years of working on a shitcoin here is too much for you to understand

it is a sh*tcoin in the sense that with the 85% of mining ASIC's from other vendors, that was dumped on the algo switch there is 10x the siacoin in the world that sia-tech expected..even though

they NOW again have a private network for their decentralized and anonymous store of info system using siacoin..they originally dreamed of! Before other ASIC's stole their thunder and pushed

up difficulty and siacoin out in the world way more than their original plans, due to the lateness of their ASIC's hitting the world. (They also owe me $600 supposed compensation for such lateness

they promised...I will likely never

I think they better get a move on making it worth doing storage on such a network..which as of now does not work even on very cheap used hd's etc and certainly

not something a hobbyist can ever make money on now! I'm talking 'break even' is far away even more daunting to put something up as a portal or node or even HD storage for

non-tech usual hobby types...they are generating no hype/or interest in their project just concentrating on coding w/o these details...losing out on a lot of maybe interested folk.

The other problem is ..folks have told me that they are moving into using big centralized data storage companies and systems..which also hardly seems decentralized

so if they want to get this project to work they better show some 'economic' reasons even if it is only break-even to put my $$$ into even a hobby node or portal and or

storage on siacoin vision....or it will just collapse under its own weight

I mean no one ever got in trouble with their bit giant amazon cloud kinda storage solution an IT guy is not gonna risk his job farming out sia-techs network at this time

why take the risk? What is the point...continue to use amazon cloud..never heard of siacoin and the project and if the IT guy has certainly his boss has not heard of such!

So some decentralized storage from the ground on up among hobbyists and regular folk better start first IMHO to get some hype going on this...or they are just spinning air

IMHO...and such.

By the By, the siacoin wallet also sucks..why not have the siastats.info www page ...going out of the wallet to hit that info to just get the siacoin address is just silly

information button or something on the wallet and what is with only able to use control c and control v to cut and paste? Have they never heard of right-click mouse cut/paste?

Also, why do I have to go all the way to the web site www.siastats.info to plug-in transaction id info to see the wallet address the siacoin came from? Why can't that show

also the wallet address along with transition Id?....I mean it is all very low-end amateur compared to even the most basic BTC wallets...

So the stuff like that drives me crazy ..they are not taking care of important minor details and no real push for folk to do storage nor instructions for the layperson...and ramp such up

even it is just to play with ..no FAQ I could see even to just experiment with the wallet options on storage on your puny 3gig HD as well just to learn such.

So if the project is siacoin/mining/storage as a 3 legged stool....storage part of all this is like 3 years behind the others IMHO..

anyway

they need to fix the stuff above and generally step it up Smiley

Brad

After all this time, you STILL don't understand how mining works and simple fact that hashing power does not affect
bumber of coins?

/facepalm
