461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global adoption — A ridiculous term on: June 05, 2021, 03:17:34 AM
I remember spending the sats that I earned each week. I looked at it that it was fine from the nature of why bitcoin was created. All I had to do was ask the owner of the supermarket to allow me to pay for my groceries with bitcoin. I tried several times but my attempts were unsuccessful because the supermarket owner had no idea how bitcoin could work for him.
As bitcoin gained more popularity last year, I stopped spending it and decided to save it for the future of my underage nephew and niece.

Why call global adoption ridiculous? If bitcoin can be available to everyone, I say it in perspective focusing from a small investor to the largest investors, the return on investment will be fair.

My investment will be among the group of small investors, of course I would be making more money than if I saved it in any bank in my country.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Statue in Hungary on: June 05, 2021, 12:44:30 AM
A statue honoring Satoshi Nakamoto is a great idea. "We are all Satoshi" that phrase is like an icon among us.
The reflection of our face in front of the statue would be a pleasant experience, I am already imagining all the selfies that will be taken, so many creative ideas that will also be born.
This would be the second public monument in relation to bitcoin because in 2018 in Slovenia the first monument with the symbol of the B of bitcoin was created.

People attend the opening ceremony of world's first public Bitcoin monument, placed at a roundabout connecting two roads at the city center in Kranj, Slovenia, March 13, 2018.

463  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - Medium of Exchange Vs Store of Value? on: June 04, 2021, 10:35:16 PM
This is a very useful article for OP.
It is worth noting that from the first time a person buys, sells or receives bitcoin, he can verify that:

Quote
Aside from the question of whether it is a store of value, a successful currency must also meet qualifications related to scarcity, divisibility, utility, transportability, durability, and counterfeitability.

https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/100314/why-do-bitcoins-have-value.asp
For what makes bitcoin as the asset, the best, the most eligible and accessible to any public.
We have verified it, it is only up to us to share because we believe in bitcoin to more people.
The governments of the world are wanting to digitize their currencies because their population is preferring bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Maximalism on: June 04, 2021, 09:58:17 PM
Recently, I have read about the Avalanche and Ren Protocol network alliance that their goal is to offer users fast transactions and low fees. Thanks to this alliance Ren Protocol will offer users to use the network with BTC and other coins.
Maybe this is one of the solutions we are looking for, the Ren protocol team talks about the beginning of the cross-chain era and offering interoperability for DeFi.

General Public and DeFi Users
Anyone can now use real Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Zcash (ZEC) in your favorite DeFi application. This allows you to trade, lend, and leverage these assets as you would with any other ERC20.

465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall from 65k to $30k was the best thing to ever happen to Bitcoin on: June 04, 2021, 09:10:40 PM
As OP points out despite the fact that the price of bitcoin has fallen and as we also know the reasons. We have good news that will develop, for example the FED has mentioned bitcoin as a digital asset that is not suitable as a means of payment and also pointed out that stablecoins offer other advantages for users, an appreciation that we share.

For its part, the FED is working on:

Quote
The Fed has been studying payments systems for several years and plans to release a product called FedNow, likely in 2023, that would address many of the issues regarding the need for immediacy in transactions as well as the plight of the unbanked.

466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He said Bitcoin is a Scam: See What happened to Him on: June 04, 2021, 07:51:55 PM
Most of the opinions revolve around that people need to be educated to know if bitcoin is a ponzi scheme or not.

Today more than ever any individual needs to educate themselves and really know what bitcoin is because they are losing the great opportunity of their lives.

Bitcoin opened the path without borders for individuals to achieve freedom by being able to receive and send money without distinction.

I share the same opinion that those who say that bitcoin is a ponzi scheme were scammed.
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why centralised services are "bad"™... on: June 03, 2021, 11:52:40 PM
I also see that it is a complete violation of customer rights and censorship. Paypal must improve its services as soon as possible now that blockchain technology is booming and companies are looking for a solution in offering more to their customers with Paypal.
If not, there will be others, even though they are not as big as Paypal, that will displace it.

Looking for opinions on Twitter, I found the following.

468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 652 Ukrainian officials declare holding a total of 46,351 BTC on: June 03, 2021, 11:08:41 PM
Obviously the news is alarming, the anti-corruption system used in Ukraine did not stop these officials.

We honestly have a very big monster that is the corruption that makes the nations insecure, giving the privilege to the vicious circle that participates in it.

While investigating more about this case, I found out how the Ukrainian country handles the use of Cryptocurrencies.

Quote
Ukraine already has laws related to crypto including one that cryptocurrency transactions, like bank wires, are subject to anti-money laundering monitoring.

What happened next with these officials I could not find anything related.

469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoins for future kids on: June 03, 2021, 10:27:16 PM
Investing in the future of children in Bitcoin is a good idea. I have it contemplated in my goals, I am investing in bitcoin for the university studies of my underage nephew and niece.
We are living a great moment, just the prelude to how the future of finance will be handled where we are the protagonists because we have chosen bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Take a look at this girl's profile on Twitter, her parents have decided a part of her future, in addition to instructing her about bitcoin.

470  Economy / Economics / Re: Three South Korean Banks Stop Working With the Nation’s Crypto Exchanges on: May 29, 2021, 11:47:55 PM
This is not good news at all, apparently governments, and central banks have seen the obvious.
People prefer bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and they won't expect to see their fiat currencies die.
P2P is the solution for restrictions, but up to what limit?
We can see that our freedoms will be shortened. I would say that a solution to this friction would be for governments and central banks to adopt bitcoin.
471  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: May 29, 2021, 11:34:48 PM
Why do we have to think that investing is only for the rich?
We must put that thought away, I think that since the invention of bitcoin that paradigm has been broken.

An example: Today you can invest from $ 15 in bitcoin in Binance and if we are careful and we are attentive to nurture our investment we can make a lot of money. As we know despite the circumstances that crypto holders go through, our investment is more profitable than having it stored in banks.

Although everyone here knows how to buy bitcoin on Binance I leave this link for newbies so as not to create confusion.

472  Economy / Economics / Re: Risk of Inflation in Economy. on: May 29, 2021, 11:13:15 PM
Here's an interesting tweet by Gordon Johnson, a Twitter user knowledgeable about the US economy, addressing his argument, he replies to a tweet from Paul Krugman, a New York Times Opinion columnist.
Paul Krugman argues that there is no need to worry about inflation.

https://twitter.com/100trillionUSD/status/1398222204123426816?s=19

I am optimistic, nothing has been lost, we all know why we have this setback, we returned to the price of bitcoin as at the beginning of the year 2021.
We bitcoiners are tireless, we must not give up and continue. Bitcoin is our freedom, it is available to anyone regardless of how much money they carry in their pockets.
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Horrible day in History of Bitcoin on: May 29, 2021, 10:10:34 PM
Users are clamoring for their coins to be listed on Coinbase. But for what?.
If Coinbase users are limited to some functionalities because the company gives privilege to a few.
Of course we must remain calm. Why yell?
As we scream, brilliant minds like Michael Saylor says:

Quote
"#Bitcoin is the greatest customer for renewable energy in the world. In the history of the world!"

@michael_saylor CEO @MicroStrategy weighs in on China’s #crypto crackdown, Iran’s ban on #mining, and having happy shareholders.

PART 2

I think we need to close the page and explore the possibilities of how bitcoin can be environmentally friendly.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC ride is over! on: May 29, 2021, 08:36:02 PM
Yep, I think the bitcoin ride is nearing an end now. China was the straw that broke the camel's back

Yup, it's already ended long time ago and we're just losing those who are weak hands in here. So leave the market or be a diamond hand hodlers.  Wink

Note: Picture is collected from internet and don't know real owner

Yes, it's finished. It will go down to 0. It will die for the 1000th time.

Lol, only zero isn't enough because we'll go in negative like -30,000$ soon just like oil price did previous year.  Grin Grin

This girl is the author of that comic that accurately depicts the negative sentiment of some bitcoiners.

https://twitter.com/LinaSeiche/status/1398509825714057225?s=19

I am sorely missed by OP's negative sentiment. My opinion is that we should not give up bitcoin, if we know why it is the origin of things. Bitcoin is stronger than we think, let's not lose the opportunity because we have a good way to go.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know this early Bitcoin adopter? on: May 29, 2021, 08:12:42 PM
Well! I needed to know more about Davinci Jeremie so I could share my opinion.
DavinciJ15 as he calls himself is a YouTube, professional trader, he has a website where there is information on how to subscribe to his private group in telegram where you can choose subscription payment plans ranging from 0.0015 BTC per month to 0.015 BTC per year. The guy found a way to make Bitcoin his job.

477  Economy / Economics / Re: Debate: Please explain to me why... on: May 29, 2021, 07:12:27 PM
When the price of bitcoin falls and affects other prices such as altcoins it is due to the effects of the FUD. It is generally caused by several factors, such as the most recent. Ban a Bitcoin by the government of Turkey, Fud the government of China, the influence of Elon Musk's tweets, there are so many elements that affect market prices (Central Bank, Governments, FED, Influencers, etc.).

The crypto market is dynamic, volatile and never sleeps for beginners it is difficult to get used to for those with experience the best defense is hodl. Being a holding bitcoin and in cryptocurrencies is a great challenge.
To know how we are doing, I agree with this article:

478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Legends and Veterans. Seeking wisdom... on: May 28, 2021, 11:19:27 PM
It is difficult for newbies to understand the risk of investing in bitcoin. I would start with the most basic invest the amount that you do not mind losing, if the investment is long term it is ok. If you want to earn on margins, learn some trading techniques to earn small margins to accumulate as a short-term investment.
I would also tell you that bitcoin must pass a lot of tests to survive but not to worry because bitcoin is the hero of the movie.
Something like the bitcoin holding process described here:

Yes hodling is hard, very hard, and when you made it through people will say you were lucky .. the irony.

479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No One Can Shut Down Bitcoin on: May 28, 2021, 10:16:56 PM
So far what I have seen is the same pattern. They are the same countries that create bitcoin FUDs. It is no coincidence that just when the bullish race for bitcoin occurs, the bans begin, it is logical to think that governments and central banks observe people's interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

It is a reality for all of us we are stopping using banking services because we prefer to invest in the crypto space.
For all that we have experienced, bitcoin will prevail forever, otherwise governments would be taking the freedom that we have won in the past and for which we hold on to bitcoin.
480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin starting to recover on: May 28, 2021, 09:37:52 PM
At least the price of bitcoin did not decline further. According to analysts, the current correction should occur. As it is known, those who buy bitcoin know that their investment is for a long time, it is difficult for newbies to understand it and sell their bitcoin fearful of regulations for its use.
When we are not affected by regulations we may think that Asian investors are weak hands but for a moment I put myself in their place and I was also afraid.
PlanB's model on Twitter "Stock to Flow Model" is the model that I currently follow because it is so accurate and that it summarizes almost all the analyzes.
