461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHY THE SUDDEN DUMP WITHOUT ANY MAJOR NEWS? on: March 02, 2019, 04:16:35 PM
Over the past few days, there  was a  significant rise in most of the assets on the crypto market including  the altcoins. For instance the value of Ethereum  also rose alongside bitcoin. It has become rather strange to me that there has been a sudden fall also, I don't know if some major traders or whales are playing mind games with amateur traders. Most bullish and bearish runs comes with a major news but this case was different.
Welcome to the market bro where everything is possible, that's why it's called the free market in the first place.

I believe that the rise and the dump is done by some whales who are looking for good methods to make lots of profit within a short period of time. They go into the market buying a lot of coins at a particular price, when the price exceed that of which they bought the coin, they make a dump immediately and take out profit.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This person made $500,000 with gambling and lost it all within 60 seconds! on: February 28, 2019, 06:10:33 AM
Moral of the story - you can never be rich with gambling, and even if you end up being "rich" - you would lose the whole lot in no time ... only the house wins because the house has an edge.

I don't think so. There are a lot of people who win in lottery with millions in our country. Most of them, they remain rich because they were able to establish their own business and stop betting in lottery because they know it's only once in a lifetime luck.
I do not think so. He might have earned this huge stakes of dollars but literally no one would ever spend again all the amount earned on the table. People are rational and rather prefer to put in less than they make in gambling. This is the rule of the table according to the experienced people. And yes many people who win big stay rich long times for they prefer to put back the money in good and certain projects.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Triggers Gambling Addiction on: February 28, 2019, 05:56:20 AM
Only one thing that triggers all to become addicted and that is greediness.................
Greediness will especially if you don't have a good strategy to win, you conditioned your mind to win but without specific strategy to do it, it will result to nothing but losses, and when you keep losing, there is a higher chance that you will be addicted since you'll continue to get challenge and still gamble hoping to win.
There could be so many motivations behind why should one enter the world of gambling. Some might want to make money. Others might aim for fame. But majority are in for the profits. Along with the experience required, people believe that LUCK plays the major role, enabling you to win at gambling. I think there are alternatives to it and could be explored and invested in wisely with much sure return.
464  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this the beginning of the arrival of a bull run? on: February 28, 2019, 05:49:06 AM
I do not think we can call these increase in prices a bull run. You will see prices increases by 10-12% and then after few days dumping back. I think bitcoin first need to cross 6000$ and then 8000$ and after that we may assume the we are ready for the next bull run. Before 6000$, it is just a pump and dump market.
Exactly. We cannot call the momentary rise in the market price of any coin the boom. There are so many factors that affect the crypto market and an overall positive impact could only lead to the Bull Run not just the positive impact of one or two. This small rise is just an indicator and shows that there is tendency for the market to rise again thereby attracting investors.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BAT (Basic Attn coin) and Brave browser on: February 28, 2019, 05:32:05 AM
The other day Coinbase sent this promo email for me to watch videos about BAT. So I did watch them and earned $3USD worth of the BAT coin.
It seems like a nice project?  Anybody not like it?  Anybody love it?

Unfortunately my iPhone is too old to support the browser for BRAVE, which seems cool. I'd like to have it, and keep earning more BAT freebies.
I heard about it too, though i have not made enough study on how it fully works but I think it's about making micro transactions which enables people to make purchase of even the lowest priced item without having to pay high fees. I personally do not see the reason this coin is created since we already have this feature included in bitcoin already, but since it's a free market, anyone has the right to do what they like and create what project they want too.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GAS Price Prediction 2019 on: February 28, 2019, 05:16:22 AM
When I first saw the word GAS in your topic, I was actually thinking you were saying that the fees for ethereum which is still know as gas fee will increase to $200, I was shocked though now I realize that you are actually talking about NEO GAS not ethereum.

Well, people always predicts price in crypto and we later begin to see the opposite of what has been predicted, all i can say is that you should check the real life use of the coin and you would be able to predict the price yourself.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 discussion on: February 18, 2019, 04:00:04 PM
ahh really nice to see PSL Matches, big stars players joined PSL.i supporting Lahore Qualenders Grin Grin Grin
Well, congratulations then because Lahore Qalanders looks strong this time though lost their first match against Islamabad United in the first match of the league. Qalanders have good management and a blend of potential in every area. The league is going great with people gambling around the world on one or another team winning/loosing millions of dollars. This is another underground economy attached to the leagues.

470  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: January 09, 2019, 06:51:30 AM
With the current economy, the fears about the Brexit, Italy, the Sino-American problems and the general pessimism among investors; It looks like Gold is coming back the past months. At the same time, countries like the EU, Japan & China are reducing their investments in the economy,
(it should also reduce demand for the USD?)

Even the Central banks are buying more Gold (+13% from the previous year). Economists predict a dark year for 2019 and it seems a lot of large funds are now buying Gold massively. Especially from Asia and Soviets.
There is nothing like people coming back, lol, they are already buying gold. In my country, majority of the people here are buying lands, only a few people I have seen talk about investing their money in golds. I once invested in gold but didn’t work out the way I planned, so I switched to what everyone was doing, which is buying lands and keeping it for the future, you never know when it might get useful and the price will increase.
471  Economy / Economics / Re: USD will crash before BTC on: January 09, 2019, 06:11:56 AM
So what’s your main point? Are you trying to say if the wild should switch to cryptocurrency those debts wouldn’t be there to be paid? Lol. It’s quite funny how some of you think. Even if the whole world decides to make use of cryptocurrency, nothing changes at all, things will still continue the way it is normally and you will even pay more tax, and countries will still continue to be in debt, it changes nothing.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Over? on: January 09, 2019, 05:40:44 AM
Bitcoin will live. It's not just a tool for speculating and making money, it is not even a means of payment. Bitcoin is a new area in people's lives. You can say that Bitcoin falls in price, that it’s worthless and blah blah blah. Bitcoin will live and develop as long as we need it. Find me an example of another type of currency that would provide the same anonymity and, at the same time, openness.
Bitcoin will be whatever we make it to be. People sees it as whatever we make them believe it is. To be honest a lot of people here doesn’t see Bitcoin the same way you see it. They see it as a way for them to gather quick money within a short term, but it’s not like that.

A lot of people I talk to about Bitcoin keeps asking this same particular questions – ‘am I going to make money from it? How fast is it going to be? And all that.
473  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Facebook / other Services on: January 08, 2019, 07:50:06 AM
Hi There, My name Jimmy.

do you know any other pages etc. for Twitter / IG / Facebook / ... campaigns? besides of Bitcointalk/Services

Will collect them in the starting post.

Thank in advance.
 ยูฟ่าเบท

Do you mean forums/platforms where you can also do some kind of promotion apart from bitcointalk and the ones you just mentioned? I don’t think there is any crypto forum like bitcointalk. Others don’t do campaigns , it’s only on Bitcoin you can do campaigns and all that.

But if you just want another forum where you can discuss about Bitcoin and altcoins, then you can check cryptocompare.com, litecointalk, cryptocurrencytalk and the rest of them, but they are not as active as this one.
474  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [INFO] How to Buy an Amazon Gift Card and NOT BE SCAMMED on: January 08, 2019, 07:20:10 AM
Hi, guys!

I have been buying Amazon gift cards for bitcoins for some time already and have seen ... well ... different ways used to scam some simple-minded bitcoin buyers (including me initially).

Below are simple guidelines that will decrease your probability of being scammed when buying an Amazon Gift Card:

- Use an Escrow (this is obvious and comes first)

- Ask  for the photo of both sides of the card where the FULL card is visible (no hidden edges etc)  and the photo has a good resolution.

- Ask for a photo of the cash receipt given to the card seller when the card was bought in a shop

- Check that the cash receipt looks ... well ... like a normal cash receipt.

- Check that the *Card Number* from the card matches to the Card Number on the cash receipt.
The *Card Number* is NOT the *Card Code*. The *Card Code* is the code that you redeem at Amazon and it looks like "AQZZ-TRDETY-CY9QF". The *Card Number* looks like a normal credit card number and consists of a long string of digits. Normally, the last 4 digits or the full *Card Number* are printed on the cash receipt. When you buy an Amazon gift card, the *Card Number* is visible (it's also printed on the package) and the *Card Code* is not visible (you need to scrape off the plastic film covering it to see the actual *Card Code*).

- Ask the card seller to write something in pen on the cash receipt (something like "Sold to <> at bitcointalk.org. No refund") and make a photo where BOTH the card and cash receipt are visible. This point helps to ensure that the seller has  both the cash receipt and card physically.

- Check on the cash receipt that the Amazon card has been bought with CASH (not with a Credit Card). It shall be clearly written on the receipt. If you see that the card was bought with a credit card, avoid it. It's a significant probability that the credit card used for that was stolen.

Those guidelines are simple, but they definitely will make your life happier enjoying your Amazon Gift Card in full.

I think the fellow forum members will definitely add their insights to this message.
Lol, do you still buy physical Amazongift cards these days? Well, I don’t really know for sure, but I can’t do that. I prefer to buy egift codes from legit platforms that are selling it online. If you’re using the BitPay wallet there will be no reason to go about looking for where to buy Amazon gift cards (egift cards) cause you have that option to buy a gift card right from the wallet and the good thing is that you’re also paying with BTC.
475  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you think that crypto exchanges are dead? on: January 08, 2019, 06:48:41 AM
That’s not a new thing, we all know that majority of them are dead. Lots of these exchanges fake their trading value and I’m just discovering recently.

So lots of them are not what they seem to be, they just paint themselves to look good in front of their investors, there is no truth. So some of them are a big failure and they are dead already. But despite all that, there are still a lot of exchanges doing just fine. That’s why I avoid nee exchanges.
476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without losses? on: January 07, 2019, 07:37:21 AM
I'm interest in trading and I want to know more about it. So please give me your valuable ideas and opinions. As a beginner I would like to know that Is there any special ways to do trading without losses or in a manner which minimize the losses. Not only that please tell me Is it possible to start trading with a small amount of money at the beginning.
Hope you will help me.
Thank you. Smiley Smiley
That depends on the strategy you’re making use of. But I don’t think there is any strategy that works 100% accurate, there are also hard times, times you lose. But if you play your part very well when the hard times comes you wouldn’t lose much cause you will be able to handle everything perfectly and avoid too much loss.
477  Economy / Economics / Re: thinking of selling or investing more. on: January 07, 2019, 07:07:49 AM
It depends on the coin, if you want to sell it or invest. Fro  the current situation right now of the market most of the coin are on its low value but if you know that the coin has a good future you can invest on it or hold it because the time will come it will rise again
in cryptocurrency market there are more than 2000 coins/token .if we could pick the best one of them i think its be great opportunity for us.moreover sleeping giant coins that have huge potential in future.its has good roadmap and developtment but they still lack of investors.and need support from investor.maybe investing in this kind of coins give us profit.
I wouldn’t be among those that would go for anything less than the top hundred coins. Others coins are not really worth the investment, cause they usually don’t make it at last, you will see some getting off the market at last and there will be no way for investors to recover their money not to talk of losses.  So if you want to be safe, it’s best to be on the top hundred list.
478  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin need a miracle on: January 07, 2019, 06:37:10 AM
I think bitcoin not need miracle because we know that the price of bitcoin is depending to on demand in the market. But of course hoping that the price will move up this year.
We need a miracle not bitcoin, because bitcoin is just a tech, and regardless of the price it will always be here to stay.
This year, is a year that we need to see that miracle, last year was full of burden and resulted to some big losses, this year is for changing for the better.
The price hasn’t been what I expected last year. Although I did see some exerts who were saying there would be a price correction, when they said that, I knew that the price will go down but I never knew it would be to this extent or even last this long.

But as for this year, I’m believing that the price will go up, yes I’m believing that  cause a lot of people have said it and I’m not going to miss this opportunity to get in early.
479  Economy / Speculation / Re: FRUSTRATED AT THE MARKET. on: January 05, 2019, 08:22:17 AM
Honestly. this is from a gentle soul that believed and hope the crypto market will get better. I must be hedonistic regards this CRYPTO of a thing. the fact is that we have witness huge Reds Colors in the Market More than the Greens Signs. these days we do have long days of Red trends more than the green trends. it is getting frustrating. i wonder if there could be crypto addicts. Even if we are not expecting the green days so Quick. Let their be BALANCE in this market.
Else we might wake up one day and Move back to square One.
Imagine Loosing out 7.5 billions USD over night. it quite outrageous.
You have started it, quitting now wouldn’t make any sense, it would be best for you to just continue holding your coins till the price goes up. A lot of people has hope that the price will go up this year , and I also believe the same thing. There has been lots of predictions that this year is going to be for the bull run and a lot of people believes that. I have some coins I have been saving cause I hope the price will increase.
480  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: January 05, 2019, 07:17:05 AM
Hello everyone.

When I see there are too many ICO and shitcoins on novaexchange. I keep asking myself: do we really need blockchain technology?

In case of Bitcoin. Of course, I agree.
What about ETH? I agree too.

But, have a look at the others on the market. I don't even know why should people use their service. There is no real use in real life.

An ad management system on blockchain? - We already had Google Ads & Facebook Ads.
A social network on blockchain? (steem) - Do we? I don't see anything but a centralized forum hosted on a random hosting using its currency to pay for the writers.

There are too many projects  that we don't really need it on blockchain.

Sometimes, I think there is a black swan (Blockchain is useless in real life) lurking around.
Just because other coins are shitcoins and scams doesn’t mean we don’t need blockchain anymore . There are lots of things people believe that you can still do with blockchain technology.

And no one forced you to make use of shitcoins, it’s all your choice, you can choose to be making use of BTC and eth alone. It’s not a must to use other coins. I don’t even have time for most altcoins in the market, my favorite has always been BTC ,eth and xrp.
