Bitcoin devs and foundation are too political now to implement anything truly innovative. If they wanted to they can implement ring sigs and stealth addresses like cryptonote right onto the Bitcoin blockchain. No need for sidechain. Shadow has done this very thing on the bitcoin codebase.
Yeah they could do anything, but since people like to quote Satoshi: The nature of Bitcoin is such that once version 0.1 was released, the core design was set in stone for the rest of its lifetime. Because of that, I wanted to design it to support every possible transaction type I could think of.
So they core code is "set in stone", they could make use of Cryptonote on sidechains, but I personally don't see any reason to use it over Monero. btw what Shadow has is not cryptonote, its a messy scammy shit. That's fine he said it's set in stone but it doesn't change the fact that ring sigs & stealth addresses can be applied to the blockchain and they don't need to rely on a sidechain to get that kind of tech. As I said, it's already been done.

How about the gold for sending coins the regular way And the blue for sending anon. ?
And I have a question, I got the new wallet yesterday All my coins are there, last night I saw that I had 37 connections
So I can relax knowing that I did it right........,right?
Thank you
The best way to check you're on the correct chain is to go to your console window and type That should get you this: d271831cb134b9bfe254351d8d96bc151538c5036eda895b6e155fc09aef6a8b Then double check that with the block explorer here: http://www.navajocoin.org/abeb/12oo6Gi6suWhich should give you Hash: d271831cb134b9bfe254351d8d96bc151538c5036eda895b6e155fc09aef6a8b

Others have talked about Monero's technology being implemented as a sidechain of the Bitcoin blockchain. Is that feasible?
Why use a Bitcoin sidechain when you can use Monero and enjoy privacy at protocol level? ask yourself this. Bitcoin devs and foundation are too political now to implement anything truly innovative. If they wanted to they can implement ring sigs and stealth addresses like cryptonote right onto the Bitcoin blockchain. No need for sidechain. Shadow has done this very thing on the bitcoin codebase.

Will there be a review of this coins anonymous features?
I think there should be 3rd party validation. All the best projects pull in a cryptographer to dissect the code and give an analysis. I'll put BTC towards one.

So, Shadow Tokens is like Yobit/BTC-E codes?
Shadow Tokens are like SDC only private. They are 1:1 SDC is a public token traceable and linkable on the blockchain SDT is a private token untraceable and unlinkable on the blockchain

Dude can you stop with that already, that is different, there are a million things called Dash already, ISIS means nothing else, other than the egyptian goddess. In that sense, it is not a problem Plus, it's not even sure yet if the name sticks (in a majority of languages). And also, how will long the "IS" will be around in its current incarnation? AFAIK they formed out of the remnants of Al Quaida in Iraq, changed their name a couple of times (ISIL, ISIS...) and merged with other groups. Plus, they are really really crazy. Who can say how they will call themselves (and be called by others) tomorrow? The official arabic name is DAESH, it's what we hear here in Europe (and what should become the common acronym for this "state"). it spells out the acronym of the group’s full Arabic name, al-Dawla al-Islamiya fi al-Iraq wa al-Sham.

Just wanted to update everyone on what I am working on at the moment. I am of course continuing to work on the things I listed here I have also been spending a lot of time working on an in wallet block explorer that is fully functional, and that does not rely on external websites, or anything outside of the wallet. I have a lot of the basic functionality put together, for example the ability to index all of the blocks and store all addresses and their transactions to a file called explorer.dat. I plan on building more infrastructure around this code before I commit it for the public. I would like to add a richlist, and a "stake whale" list too. The explorer will be fully functional via RPC, so it would be really easy to build a website explorer for HyperStake that does not really do much processing of data at all, but simply relays the information from the wallet. It will probably be a few weeks before I throw any of the code out into the public. I know there is probably another coin out there that has this done already, but I really enjoy doing it all from scratch On another note, I will be vacationing in Scandinavia for a week and a half starting this friday. I hope to only be online very minimally if at all. ##hyperstake has a lot of smart people that are always willing to help out for urgent needs, and we also have a lot of smart people here on bct ready to help too In wallet explorer would be awesome! I like http://hyp.cryptocoinexplorer.com/ and all but in wallet would be even better! Shadow's latest wallet added a block explorer if it would help to expedite coding https://github.com/SDCDev/shadowcoinLooking at the wallet it looks more like a block crawler than a fully functional explorer (I could be wrong, didn't spend a whole lot of time looking). Does it have the ability to see the balances of other addresses as well as maintain a richlist that is computing the data internally to the wallet rather than communicating with something on the outside? Their commits are so bulky, it is really hard to figure out what is going on It could be just a block crawler. I'm not sure press. I haven't found time to nose around in it. I know it doesn't maintain a richlist and some of the more exotic things I think you want to achieve. Looking forward to it!

Maybe this will help people disambiguate the competition. I'll edit/update this table as time goes on. -The marketplace refers to in-wallet -and our gui wallet is much sexier than DRK's altho I'm not sure if I can put that as a feature I am open to input and corrections and will update table accordingly. thanks Good list, A couple comments: - Smooth launch is ambiguous. It's probably not a metric - BTC blockchain should be BTC codebase. None of these are on the BTC blockchain. (XCP is an example of being on BTC blockchain) - GUI wallet could be changed to HTML wallet if you want to lift up Shadow's "first to market" HTML wallet - Not sure what low interest is? 2% annually? - Technically all 3 are B2B ready. Additions: - Foundation (non-profit)= XMR & SDC (No), DRK (Yes) - Centralized= XMR & SDC (No), DRK (Yes)* *this is only because Evan is creating a historical habit of making decisions on his own. (Ref#1: Adding more coins to the Darkcoin marketcap to purchase ShadowCash https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HrGDKKtr5cKKE8Iu7aOw1vXbVTGk9078sQaWlprZYrs/edit) (Ref#2: Rebranding to DASH https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rebranding-and-scalability.4254/)- Dev team size= XMR & DRK (Large), SDC (Small) - Untraceable= XMR & SDC (DRK can be given the resources) - Unlinkable= XMR & SDC (DRK can be given the resources) - Blockchain Token= SDC (Yes), XMR & DRK (No) - Lite Wallet= SDC (Yes), XMR & DRK (No)

Navajo coin and VericCoin are booming. ShadowCash community is very well known for their FUD campaigns. Why don`t you go and FUD these 2 prosperous coins? They don't need our help self imploding. Just look at NAV and DRK pages the past 12 hours.

Like I said idiotic and this will be detrimental...way to fuck it up guys Darkcoin was something great That is the point that has me upset the most, to make such a drastic(and frankly stupid) change such as this without even having a vote by the darkcoin community/foundation members. Way to go with the "decentralized" currency, Evan. Congrats with your new found dictatorship. You have to remember Evan has a history of making decisions without votes. Wasn't it just a few short months back when he offered to buy ShadowCash without the community aware : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HrGDKKtr5cKKE8Iu7aOw1vXbVTGk9078sQaWlprZYrs/edit?usp=sharingThe total market cap of ShadowCash will be calculated (say for example $600,000), at which point that amount as a percentage of Darkcoin will be created (say for example $16,000,000). $600000/$16000000 will represent an additional 3.75% of Darkcoins market cap. At the merging date, Darkcoin’s market cap will be extended 3.75% to give the ShadowCash users the same value they had in ShadowCash. Yep, he decided he could just change the rules and "add more coins". Wait a second, maybe he was really trying to by the ShadowCash name instead of the developers?!?! I guess digital cash "Dash" is somewhat the same worse similar.
