481  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER: user ALIMWENZA on: January 24, 2024, 02:29:17 AM
With all the important thing in trading (buy and sell), you should double check it's reputation before dealing, or at least make  deal in a reputable user nothing or else you will just risk losing your money.

Move this on Scam accusation board and follow this format. Include all necessary proofs that you have, screenshots and chat logs.
482  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Scammers use Patreon to send SPAM emails on: January 23, 2024, 11:46:36 PM
The login credentials to your email address may have not leaked before, especially if you don't reuse passwords, but logins to another site may have leaked. For example, when I check that email address of mine that received the phishing message on https://haveibeenpwned.com, it has been involved in 8 data breaches so far, so personally I am not surprised when I get such phishing emails.
You could also check yours too
Yes, that email was seen on haveibeenpwned.com twice from cmc and ledger breached as i mentioned on my earlier reply. Although this trick is the only one that got me thinking unlike others which go to spam folder.
483  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Scammers use Patreon to send SPAM emails on: January 23, 2024, 11:18:55 PM
I received a similar email on one of my email addresses but what is funny is that they first sent a confirmation email as though someone had registered on patreon.com using my email address
..
20 minutes later, I received the chain link phishing email. I think they have a database of leaked emails so they keep registering each on the patreon.com and then use a loophole to push phishing emails.
Right? I thought about it too, like is my email was compromised? I never heard a notification of suspicious activity though, or login access in any device which i always get when i'm trying to login in other device, browser, or even google login in websites. All 2fa was set too except for the device stick.
484  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTB Aged Eth addresses/private keys on: January 23, 2024, 11:13:41 PM
"Age address" you mean with past previous transactions? Any minimum number of transactions? On what particular year are you interested in? And how many address/private keys do you want.
485  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any recommendations for another casino like this one? on: January 23, 2024, 10:32:04 PM
@OP your words are good, but the site is not. Look at those terms like their users is being restricted.
Limited withdrawals and limited deposits too until you used all your balance you are not able to deposit? What kind of rules is that, i just heard something ridiculous like that.
486  Economy / Gambling / Re: MEGA:PARI |SPORTS & CASINO| SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: January 23, 2024, 04:07:25 PM
I see the domain refpaiozdg.top used twice.

Please let me know if it's correct reference.

Cheers,
Yes, that's the correct domain/URL i'm pointing to.

Just wondering why most of Mega:Pari's promo's and tasks done always come with wagering requirements???
Isn't this always the case in any casino promos? That's why it really needs to read the requirements first, most of them is to wager the deposit, only the number of rolls differs, the higher the worse..
487  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Scammers use Patreon to send SPAM emails on: January 23, 2024, 01:51:43 PM
That means that your email has been known to scammers as it is used to get to use to fall victim of a phishing attack.
Yes, this is the same email i used to buy from ledger and used in an account in cmc which was also breached as per haveibeenpwned.com.
The thing is, all spam emails get redirected to spam folder but not this one since patreon looks legit mail, i actually received 3 mails from them today.

Although i find it's weird that Patreon would send email if you don't subscribe to anyone.
Yes, first is i received an email about registration in patreon which i never did, then the 2nd and 3rd email are like in the OP. Although there's no suspicious activity of my email since this is 2fa activated, backup with all the available options in gmail except the device key stick (yubikey). The registration then receiving emails feels off.
488  Economy / Scam Accusations / [WARNING] Scammers use Patreon to send SPAM emails on: January 23, 2024, 02:01:09 AM
What happened: As the title said, spammers now learned how to bypass spam emails and phishing URLs at least in gmail (which i currently use) to avoid redirecting it spam folder.
This is a related thread posted in reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/patreon/s/JZquBZKFW2

Scammers Profile Link:
Code:
radarappd6.site -> radar-dapp.net

Additional Notes:
The moment i received email from Patreon wonders me why i'm receiving this when i never have subscribe to someone's Patreon before. This avert me to check everything sent on the email. I thought this also a case of spoofed email but it looks like it was sent using patreon's email server.
This is the email content:

The URL in question (scammer profile link) that redirects to other site.

I searched about "radar dapp" and I found one in cmc the "RADAR" token with its website(below) which is the main website
Code:
dappradar.com

So this is just another story of giveaway scam in emails but with a twist.
489  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Opinions on Mexc GLobal on: January 22, 2024, 11:42:47 PM
What's the reason of choosing such lower volume exchange when there are much more better that can be found on cmc top exchanges.
So your main factor when choosing an exchange is volume? I seriously doubt that OP is some sort of whale who would have issue with their "measly" $1B trading volume.
Yes, i prefer much more options too for trading purposes and with p2p platform.

Such exchanges start with no mandatory KYC, and then if there are trading volumes and exchange becomes large enough, it will ask users for mandatory KYC, and here it will give you one week to 6 months for withdrawing, or they will not find a sufficient number of users, and here it will either turn into scam or be closed.
KYC is inevitable for exchnage such as Mexc as sooner or later they will want to expand their business and meet the strict regulations.
Yes, every huge exchange follow this process, binance, kucoin, (at least the exchanges i used). This usually happens when they expand their business as you have said.
490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: January 22, 2024, 10:48:41 PM
Yesterday was trying to place bet and during the process something in me keeps telling me to increase your wager do you know if you would hit something you never won before..
That's how gambling is tempting, it's like there's always someone telling you it's not enough and you need more until more is nothing. This leads near to addiction if you keep following that thoughts and can't even control your emotions and strategy.

While me having no thoughts when rolling i don't even wish a win lol but of course i want it in the very first place, that's the reason why i gamble.
491  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trouble withdrawing from Kucoin? on: January 21, 2024, 11:49:54 PM
My guess is they want to see how much they can milk me for. If I can show them I have 130k, they might let me withdraw some in order to keep me playing. I'll try to play them at their own game, but i'm not going to be giving them any more money.
Good decision but damn you just got scammed 85k right? 65k from "tax" then 20k additional.

I never seen you replied where you get the fake kucoin app question, so kindly post it here so we can help to report and take it down. So how long are you already using it? And where did you find it?
492  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [UPDATE] Binance BTC Segwit wallet address changed on: January 21, 2024, 11:42:27 PM
It’s odd that I don’t find this announcement on my account notification. Does your account have an advance notification for this changes?
The announcements of changing address are like country per country or area based on binance's category. Just like before, some get an announcement notification but i didnt, then few weeks later i receive the announcements related to it.

As long as binance didn't send any notification yet in (email or in-app notification) it's good to say that there's no changes yet happened to your account.
493  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to pay a cruise with criptocurrency on: January 21, 2024, 11:25:47 PM
Me too having a hard time finding such services offering direct crypto payments online. Some are really just offering gift cards. With all the suggestions, it's good to say that you will need to convert your crypto to fiat first and buy or book using it.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: January 20, 2024, 11:46:32 PM
Question: would she be so disheartened and mad as this if the son had won the bet on a multi million price?
Dear fellows, let's assume you are the mom, what would be your state of mind on this context?
A thief is a thief no matter what's the result of the gambling someone's made. Knowing that it is gambling, i could be very angry if i'm his father. If her son won that's great but he still need some disciplining for this doing. Remember he did it already just for gambling, it could be repeated again just like addiction strike if he wasn't scolded and educated this early for what he did is wrong — and stealing is always wrong no matter the amount is. Because time will come that it's not only $15 that he will steal it will be more than that if he wasn't get proper education.
495  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Opinions on Mexc GLobal on: January 20, 2024, 08:02:18 PM
Recent 24 hours trading volume on MEXC is $1.234 billion. Is that volume low? It has $884,041,357 normalized volume. In derivative market, it has $2,481,750,551 24 hours trading volume.
Yes, it's still low and not better compare in those top 10 exchanges both spot and derivatives in 24 hour trading volume.

I noticed the exchange dropped in rank recently, likely something not good may be going on and which might be what you pointed to.
Probably, since cmc published the article with that issue and as the one who give the scores to listed exchanges.
496  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Opinions on Mexc GLobal on: January 20, 2024, 07:32:57 PM
What's the reason of choosing such lower volume exchange when there are much more better that can be found on cmc top exchanges. What's better in them than those top 10 exchanges in cmc?
Although it's true that they have listed so many coins than others, if that's the reason for you to use the exchange, i guess that's reasonable. I don't have any experience of using them and I can't seem to find any active scam accusations thread against them. But you need to check this article[1][2] few weeks ago. Although i'm not sure its legitimacy but it's worth of reading.

497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 20, 2024, 06:06:01 PM
With the easy accessibility of the online gambling sites and tools, the younger generation is more involved in gambling. The risk for them is not only that they will lose money but gambling at such a high rate and at the age of teenage will cause them a lot of problems like lack of physical activity or no interest in the studies as they will more inclined to get easy entertainment in the form of gambling.
This is because of gambling can be accessed anywhere and anytime because of the internet, social media ads (suggesting gambling/games), many kinds of affordable smartphone devices and online casinos. Imagine even a 11 year old kid can access internet with their device. Just click the "I'm +18" button when accessing the casino or any adult type of entertainment then it's easy, or use their parents IDs just to pretend they're adult, i knew some minors do these, unfortunately.

The most effective way to address this issue is for the parents and teachers to play their part and convince the young generation the do and don't of gambling and how it can harm our personality and life if we are addicted to it.
Discipline and guidance from parents/family is the most essential, teachers from schools are not so effective, many high school students are lazy lol. But different from me since I came from a circle of family of teachers, my aunts both from father and mother's side are teachers, my mom is teacher too so yeah we were disciplined to the thoughts of what you think. Grandpas are so strict but having a lovely grandmas, so yeah, it's balanced. So we live as good individuals, well, not so good since when we touch college everything changes since we have our own decisions and with our own.
498  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Exmarkets scam me for 2000 usd on: January 20, 2024, 05:37:05 PM
I don’t know why there is not any scam accusation on this forum against this exchange already.
There is at least one scam accusation against[1] them showing in google way back 2019. Knowing that there's little to zero scam accusations against that means that there's almost no users of them here, except you which has not so little amount in there.

...I don't know how you missed that warning on CMC that says "We have received multiple reports of some users being unable to withdraw their funds. Please exercise caution and do your own research (DYOR)!"
I can confirm that's on coinmarketcap

I will surely raise a flag and contact CMC for delisting.

Edit

Added a flag here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2526793
Flag supported !!!

499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The worst situation you're in that you regret that you learn about gambling on: January 20, 2024, 04:07:38 PM
So far, i didn't know someone who has worst situation in gambling here in my area, i only heard such things on adults(someone they knew), online, news, and in this forum.

An irresponsible gambler can never be trusted with funds because nomatter how in control such a chronic gambler would be, he would definitely lost out of control and tempers with the entrusted fund.
This, even such person was rehabilitated, i guess you will have trust issue to lend some funds to this person again, in a way that maybe this person will get addictive again,

he cares for what his friend would think and that's enough for him to go to rehab as suggested by that friend.  he is lucky to have a friend who didn't get mad for what he did because not many people will think that way. spending someone else money on gambling is already a clear sign that a person needs help. if it gets worse, robbing someone at gunpoint is not unusual for a gambling addict. i have not been to such a situation thank godness.
It sounds like that the "addicted" friend is not yet worst in terms being addict, because if someone has compulsive gambling disorder heard such suggestion, it will probably get insulted and will do things you can't imagine.

Not really much similar case because it doesn’t involve someone money but I manage to lose my hard earned salary that was supposed to be for my quarterly insurance payment that is about to due.
(Off-topic) What's the best thing to get in insurance? Coz i know there's an insurance with one payment that has a year cover (which i currently have), and a quarterly payment. Both have almost the same benefits, annual payment is sure cheaper than the quarterly.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 20, 2024, 03:08:18 PM
The point is my husband doesn't know that i have been secretly gambling and involving myself with gambling discussions and the rest, So, this morning when i woke something in me keeps telling me i should let him know to understand my involvement  to practice gambling.

Does this worth telling him or not please i need you collective ideas.
As someone's husband, i always tell her that i do this and i do that, currently doing this and previously did that. There's nothing wrong about telling it, as long as you didn't make loans for gambling and never sold things that came from your savings. Especially the things you mentioned since you're the kind of person who knows how to control and manage things (based on what you have said), I think he deserves to know those things as your husband.
