1341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: journey to financial freedom on: May 28, 2023, 10:41:20 PM
In January 2009 after the release of Bitcoin, the journey to financial freedom begun, i believe this is the right platform for me to learn more about bitcoin, though Bitcoin is 14 years old now, hope i'm not too late to join the bus?
Welcome aboard! There is no late joining here especially this ks not a first come first serve stuff. Try to take your time to learn and understand any stuff you want to because learning bitcoin is too broad  when it comes to this technology. Check the site below[1] for a good read.

1342  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Importing seed into Electrum, no funds? on: May 28, 2023, 01:44:22 PM
To make matters more interesting, I found another funded address (let's call it A#2) I used to initially test the wallet and BTCRecover says that the seed matches this address on m/84'/0'/0'/0/1. As far as I understand, this would mean A#2 is the address subsequent to A#1 I mentioned in my OP.

How can it be? Since m/84' means Native SegWit.
That's weird, did you double checked your seed, because if there's no funds detected on those derivation paths or no wallet address have the same on your ledger live (with funds), then it could be the very reason, or else there's something else...
1343  Economy / Exchanges / Re: With these acts, do we still believe in Centralized Exchanges? on: May 27, 2023, 11:50:09 PM
Keeping your funds on an exchange because you don't want to pay transfer fees is not the best choice imo.
It's huge misconception of everybody, in fact exchange charge too much fee when transferring coins to another wallet unless using those unpopular coin for lesser withdrawal transaction fees.
1344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: May 27, 2023, 11:41:05 PM
Remember not all who invest bitcoin or any cryptocurrency succeed to gain profit, most don't, especially those who doesn't know what patience is.
Investment in banks are not profitable, sometimes you will get no interest, or even negative interest. It might sound a better place for saving your fund but it is not. Many banks can file bankruptcy and you cant do anything once they do and you will lost your money.
1345  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BetterCallRaul.it Domain Seized or Scammed on: May 27, 2023, 11:29:29 PM
Royse777 now using API to track wallet which is much better for future smooth work.
That could be a better improvement, then every mistakes should serve a lesson and a stepping stone to learn new things. Especially for an incident like this its too expensive covering your own funds.
1346  Other / Meta / Re: DdmrDdmr is surprising for meriting posts on: May 27, 2023, 12:15:58 PM
Many of us doesn't know the clue behind this, I don't know if any other person has being thinking same thing, sending him a personal message will only educate me alone but making it to be open will benefit so many others, I think the reason this forum is created is to share knowledge across each other.
You could share the knowledge you get by making a thread after, referencing what DdmrDdmr said to you via PM then, simple as that. Well, anyway, let's wait until he share his way to do things.
1347  Other / Meta / Re: DdmrDdmr is surprising for meriting posts on: May 27, 2023, 11:57:53 AM
This concern/question is more like for DdmrDdmr, i guess messaging him for give you the answer you are looking for instead of us speculating the matter, just my two cents.
1348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 51% attack on Bitcoin on: May 26, 2023, 11:57:50 PM
It's a very expensive attempt. Hundred millions of resources could be the budget of it. Who will attempt to do like that if it can be reiterate later by the community devs. It's just a "way" of that a blockchain can be changed/hacked etc. but there's no way it can be done to bitcoin blockchain as it's on it's peak of hashrate.
1349  Other / Meta / Re: Did Laszlo Hanyecz exchange 40000 BTC for 8 pizzas, not 10000 BTC for 2 pizzas? on: May 26, 2023, 11:37:33 PM
The 10,000 bitcoin for 2 pizza started his way to buy few more things with bitcoins more than that. And that's how you understand with that post you quoted from him.
1350  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BetterCallRaul.it Domain Seized or Scammed on: May 26, 2023, 11:22:15 PM
Payment up front is something we (Cro 2) insist on when running any sort of campaign or competition on forum. We don't work with companies that aren't serius and feel like few months worth of escrowed funds are necessary to show commitment and atrract good members.
Better to always go for an upfront payment incase of uncertainties like this should occur, they may even be the ones loosing instead of putting their campaign participants on a dashed hope on nothing, but there's a level of how one could have built a rapport with these same employers/organizations without them paying up front and then you trust their reputation and representative as well, but in this case, it's risky to take and those managers that engage doing such already have their own personal money as backup in case of uncertainties.
Escrow should be the first thing when it comes to financial related activity in the forum, either a contest, giveaway and campaigns. There are many incidents happened the same as this yet unfortunately we again witness such an event where the manager suffers and covers all the losses.
1351  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 120$ Loan defaulted by [Supreemo] on: May 26, 2023, 07:42:39 PM
It really is too risky lending money without any collateral just a little assurance because of the campaign he is in. Now he is in trouble for getting caught with his other account, what a waste of time ranking just to getting rekt by wrong doings.
Kudos to @logfiles and still the community owes you @shasan for helping people lending money even tho its too risky and the chance of getting scammed is too high.
1352  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Deceptive Bonus Policies & Lack of Transparency - Duelbits.com [A Shady Casino] on: May 26, 2023, 07:28:21 PM
I'm not going to defend Duelbits but I will just question your motive because you are not providing anything, you are asked to follow the format but you prefer to attack Duelbits if you are going to attack be sure you have the evidence to back up your attack,
Well, no one asked OP to follow the scam accusation format yet. Now if you care to follow the format[1] it will help people here to understand your issue regarding @duelbits. While the post above me is quite correct about the accusation without proofs will be considered nonsense and just an attack.

But by reading your post it looks like duelbits doesn't give you the deposit bonus as they promised. Now if you can post a screenshot(upload images to talkimg or imgbb then include it here) about the deposit bonus promo ad, your deposit txs, and other images like chatlogs that will back your accusation.

1353  Other / Meta / Re: Imgur alternatives for posting you images on the forum on: May 26, 2023, 06:26:00 PM
- Their user experience. For me, it is easier to upload, group, and locate my images.
User experience? You can't properly use imgur using mobile devices, unless installed their app which is unnecessary or make your mobile browser in desktop mode.

Nonetheless, you can't properly images uploaded there here, so just use alternative such as imgbb and talkimg.
1354  Economy / Economics / Re: For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance on: May 25, 2023, 11:26:28 PM
He possesses substantial wealth, investors, and other resources, yet the US government continues to provide funding for his companies, SpaceX and Tesla, while smaller struggling companies with limited funds receive little to no support. In fact, once the government becomes aware of your significant wealth, they tend to offer grants, subsidies, and even tax credits just as what Elon Musk's companies are enjoying.
Simply because the government benefits a lot from that kind of business. They get tax and they can get discounts from such business and they needed the spacex for their space projects, no more no less.
Your example of businesses cannot be compared to other "small businesses". If you are talking to SMEs, i dont know if US have that kind of sellers, but they are lot of them here which is probably government helps them provide anything they can, smaller tax, promotions, and place to sell, sometimes cash assistance as well. So you can't say government doesn't help smaller business, not unless its not registered and business owner didn't approach the government to ask for assistance.
1355  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Discussion] Pagbili ng Bitcoin Physically/IRL P2P on: May 25, 2023, 11:18:56 PM
Care to share kung sino yon? Thru PM or dito maybe kung okay lang i-disclose?

Although hindi pa naman ako naka experience na ma-scam sa Binance P2P, feel ko lang din na mas safe kung may go-to person ka talaga lalo minsan may kalakihan yung transaction ko. Thank you!

Unfortunately I can't share kasi I know the dude personally and sobrang dami naming mutual friends. Potential problem privacy wise.
Exactly, unless online seller ng crypto/bitcoin yung kakilala mo. Or maybe just maybe sharing contacts like telegram account for p2p purposes outside binance platform (not physical p2p txs).

Or else rekta sila sa kulungan.

Although nakakatawa itong news para sakin pero good news pa rin dahil sa, sabihin nalang natin "good deeds ng mga magnanakaw"  Grin

Pero bad news ito sa privacy dahil ibig sabihin lang nito ay alam ng exchange or blockchain ang lahat ng ginagawa natin sa ating funds since kaya nila idetect ang transactions natin papuntang exchange an naka KYC tayo.
Ganyan naman talaga kahit dati pa lalo na pag sa mga centralized coins like USDT or or any USD pegged kaya nilang ma track at freeze mga assets once may hack na mangyari or any illegal on their terms.
1358  Other / Meta / Re: Images from Imgur have been restored on: May 24, 2023, 11:28:52 PM
However, imgbb is a great option when imgur is down this is the only option that works on the forum recently.
That's what i'm using years already actually because imgur cannot be used in smartphone browsers without downloading their app, although you can, if you will switch to desktop mode, but it's annoying to use desktop mode in phone browsers.
1359  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wearing Double signature (Shan85) on: May 23, 2023, 10:42:18 PM
In every business experience have it's value. An experience campaign manager knows how to handle their works professionally. Where someone new [no matter what rank they have in the forum] will learn the process though the experiences they will earn from their progress. A business will not hire someone who is learning but they will hire a person who knows what they are doing.
I could agree with this but i won't in the last part. There are lots of instances of businesses hired an almost new campaign managers regardless their ranks. Well, most of these managers came from being a newbie on the management side, 4 years ago, aside from yahoo and hampuz, there are many new members seeks a management job yet they build there reputation and learning on the process and become what they are now.
1360  Other / Meta / Re: Weird description of the "Project Development" board on: May 23, 2023, 10:27:18 PM
Those threads are just needed a report and it will be moved or deleted accordingly. The board's description is not a concern if those topics doesn't belong there. But editing the description a little could help.
