then pascalcoin being algorithm sha 256, you can pull antminer s5 s9 s7?

no it's a modified sha256, not the sha of bitcoin

btw are the estimate correct on suprnova?

No, they are not correct yet - I'm working on them within the next 24h.

If someone has a good formula, let me know !

BTW I'm seeing a DDoS to Suprnova's PASC frontend currently, page could be a bit slower as usual.

Honestly I am having troubles as well. The usual one seems a bit too low:
http://whattomine.com/coins/172-pasc-pascal

But I have just activated it, so 24h diff average is not accurate yet.
Thanks to ocminer for providing difficulty for this coin Smiley

Could some people report their last 24h earnings and average hashrate? Thanks.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethminer-0.9.41-genoil-1.1 on: January 31, 2017, 08:44:20 AM
I used to have the same problem when using Genoil miner. It is very CPU intensive in the first few moments / minutes (depending on CPU) as it loads the DAG. However, once it's loaded there is no problem. I had to upgrade my CPU a bit because the cheap CPU I had could not handle loading the DAG and the rig would restart.

Just as a side note. Genoil has stated he is not actively developing this miner any longer. It was kind of unstable when I used to use it, and I'd recommend switching to one of Claymore's latest miners or something else for better stability. If nothing else, faster miners have been developed since Genoil stopped updating his.

Having said that I used Genoil's miner for the longest time and appreciate the work he did!

I have checked the miners help yesterday and there is a switch to load DAGs one by one. Just fire miner with "-h" to check all options

anyone can share their bat file for eth+decred mining?

+ any idea why mining eth only the speed of ethereum mining is slower than the one when im mining eth+sia?

Check read-me for examples. Everything you need is there.
Here you can calculate dual mining profits easily: (Remember to put correct pool fees!)

Dual mining with DCR looks to be back.
Switched from solo to dual few days ago.

Whattomine is not right, I'm making $3.70/GH on Nanopool.
2 480's is drawing 280W power for about 1.1-1.2GH.

Ofc the stats are wrong, coin has `inactive` status.

I tried to use difficulty from nanopool yesterday, but it doesnt match the calculations with wallet net_hash_rate.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, deletable blockchain & bank account system [PASA] on: January 27, 2017, 08:20:55 AM
@adaseb I have seen you present calculations before.
Any idea how to get from target on that screenshot "815367771" (or "3099865b", the hex target given by wallet) to proper target_pow?

Following nbits wiki I thought you just have to build a 48(for 30 first bit) long hex of zeroes, then insert each two bits instead of first three zeroes.
This would result in "00000000000099865b000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000", but the target_pow on the screenshot is different.

Any help appreciated.

new calculator but i don't know is true, http://whattomine.com/coins/172-pasc-pascal?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=2650&p=1400&fee=0.0&cost=0.14&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

2 days 4hour 15 minute 5 gpu all at 520-550 r9 290 o block is very hard but this calculator is true is really rentable best profit now

I still havent tackled the proper target to difficulty formula.
Would love to have a chat with dev about it...

Probably will have to estimate difficulty from Nethash, but I dont like this, its not accurate.

Pascal algo? Tongue
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic api. on: January 23, 2017, 08:41:10 AM
Is there a way to fetch 3 or 7 days average values of difficulty/profitability? I see them in web interface but cannot find them in JSON.

Not possible atm.
I am planning to add a proper API authorized with tokens, but will see if I can get the data you requested into existing json.

I have a question for RX 470 and 480 users

What power consumption do you guys get with what hash rates?

Have you read the forum ? there is alot of post already referencing those numbers.

I read plenty of post about hash rates but power draw is not so consistent. Problem when searching these terms even with quotations is it only requires the words to appear anywhere on the page, even if one is in a post and the other is a related link.

470 runs around 26@120
480 runs around 29@135

Theoretically its possible to run 470 at 28, but it requires hardcore mem OC and not many cards can handle it 24/7.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v11.1 (Windows/Linux) on: January 20, 2017, 04:23:56 PM
I have a meeting I need to run to but this thread I found may have some useful information in it.  I will keep digging when I get back as well.

https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/5195/riser-1-to-3-pci-e-1x

Edit 1:

After reading through the above thread and taking a look at Intel's specs on the h81 and z87 it would appear that the max PCIE lanes through the h81 chipset is 6, whereas the z87 chipset can handle 8.  The 1x PCIE slots run through the chipset, but the 16x slot runs straight to the CPU.

I would think that you could run 6 GPUs max through the chipset while running the remainder of your GPUs through the 16x slot using the CPUs remaining availability. In this scenario you could only ever use a 1x2 card in one of your 1x slots.  If you moved the 1x3 card to the 16x slot then you could run 5 GPU through the chipset and 3 (or more depending on CPU, driver, OS) through the 16x PCIE straight to the CPU.

But that doesn't seem to be your experience.  If you have the 1x3 card in the last 1x PCIE slot then the 7th card you plug in should be the 6th card running through the chipset.  Theoretically you should be able to run 7 cards with your setup, but not 8.  And you can't.

So I'm wondering, perhaps we have a bottleneck somewhere else?  Out of curiosity, what CPU are you using?

http://ark.intel.com/products/75013/Intel-Z87-Chipset

https://ark.intel.com/products/75016/Intel-H81-Chipset

This seems like a reasonable explanation https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/comment/65925/#Comment_65925
So its a hardware limit of memory being addressed.

Whats with the newbies trying to impersonate devs account name? Hilarious  Cheesy

Still developing this coin? Btw how is it still unique with pools present?

This is an EXTREMELY old question/argument that is answered in this thread many, many times.  Ocminer has a way through a private miner to allow you to mine on his pool however it is a trust/trust relationship.  Mine at your own risk.  With that said, I like Suprnova pools very much and have never had any problems mining his/her pools.

Cool, I guess it should be added to OP then.
I like suprnova pools as well, but this kind of shows there is a way around the main principle.
On the other hand no hash reported at the pool anyway.

50% load sweet spot? That can't be even remotely true. I agree that having some headroom is good but running 1600w for 800w load is just not a thing.

Why can't that be true? Because you've never heard of it? 50% - 70% is usually the best efficiency for a PSU.  Depends on the PSU and curve.  85% or less is recommended for a longer life-cycle.  I always aim for ~50% load on PSU understanding that demand usually increases.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/2624/3

Edit: And I currently have an 800W load on a 1600W PSU.  So I guess it is a thing.

You are correct with the around 50% sweet spot, but the difference in the efficiency is so negligible that I wouldnt bother with it.
Personally I am fine with 90% load of the PSU.
You also need to remember that 1000 is the wattage PSU can dish out to PC, so 90% load will register as around 990W at the wall.

Every PSU with a certificate should be browseable on this site: (I am actually amazed how this site is not common-knowledge by now)
https://www.plugloadsolutions.com/80PlusPowerSuppliesDetail.aspx?id=25&type=2
This link will take you to corsair PSUs.

Now lets take a look at RM1000i efficiency curve: https://plugloadsolutions.com/psu_reports/CORSAIR_RPS0010%20(CP-9020084)%20(RM1000I)_1000W_ECOS%204336_Report.pdf

As you can see it stays pretty much constant.

The following is the REVS snapshot for local wallets with more than 500 BTCD:

If you dont see your address above, or if the amount is not correct, please let me know. The above data will be used to issue the REVS.

So you had to have 500+ btcd to receive revs?

I have reduced ETH and ETC block reward to 4.85 due to uncles lowered reward.
Followed number presented by vitalik here https://blog.ethereum.org/2016/10/31/uncle-rate-transaction-fee-analysis/
Will try to find the same for EXP, but it might be negligible, as the block time is much higher at 1m15s.

Added Sibcoin with X11Gost algo. http://whattomine.com/coins/169-sib-x11gost

Site it now a part of newmine affiliate program, where you can buy rigs with 50$ discount (and help to run WTM as well) using "whattomine" code.

What is typical top coins Fury performance?
I can see some for 370USD in my local shop.

Wattage is probably through the roof? Cheesy

I'm just confused about what to mine.. at the moment it is profitable to mine ZEC instead of XMR or ETH/ETC. After an hour the order of profitablity changes.. and that's repeating again and again Cheesy

Follow 24h averages, they dont switch so much.
Or even longer averages if you prefer Smiley
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: January 08, 2017, 08:52:18 PM
So it seems whattomine gives lower hashrates for a RX470-4gb.
Can anyone post his current 470 hashrate + power consumption with V10 please?

Updated today to 220@110W.
With extra tweaking maybe 10-20 would be possible. Depends how high your core can go and still stay around 0.9V

Hello, API page for one currency (for example whattomine.com/coins/166.json) returns "estimated_rewards" and "btc_revenue" calculated for 24h interval. Is there way to get this calculated for current values on this page? This values are on page with all coins (whattomine.com/coins.json), there are both "estimated_rewards" and "estimated_rewards24" estimates. Also I try to use get-parameter "166.json?revenue=current" or "revenue=24h" but it not works there.

If you would like to calculate it for other set of values, then you just need to send them.
To check the param names you could enable all fields via UI and press calculate.
I guess you want to send in current_difficulty. You could also customize BTC price.
