I have a bad feeling about the Ferguson vs Paddy fight. Obviously as a fellow Liverpool fan I want Paddy to win but I dunno, I think it will be a big test for him. Ferguson is a seasoned fighter, a real yard dog.

Tottenham Hotspur are going on a trip to City Ground to secure 3 point to give them a little push to the table, but will that be too easy for the visitors to achieve? Well Spurs have already shown how weak they are when it comes to receiving pressure from oppositions and Nottingham are good at doing that.
Angelos Postecoglou will try as much as possible to beat the home side to at least prove to the fans that they're still in race for the title, to me I don't see anything special about Tottenham Hotspur any more ever since they lost to West Ham that wasn't coordinated in that game and a win to Newcastle is not that convincing to me. The best that could come out of this game tonight is a draw and I feel Tottenham was just luck against Newcastle.

I make Spurs favourites for this game but it will not be easy at all. Nottingham Forest will fight like dogs at home. Should be an interesting game.

Spurs need a win to stay in touch with the top 4 and Forest do not want to slip closer to the bottom 3. Kick off in 40 minutes.

The draw for the last 16 is on Monday 18th December.

https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/0286-194ebf171ecc-ecd438b4baf4-1000--uefa-champions-league-round-of-16-draw-where-is-it-when-i/

Which teams are in the round of 16 draw?

The draw features the 16 teams that advance from the UEFA Champions League group stage:

Group winners (seeded): Arsenal (ENG), Atlético de Madrid (ESP), Barcelona (ESP), Bayern (GER), Dortmund (GER), Manchester City (ENG), Real Madrid (ESP), Real Sociedad (ESP)

Group runners-up (unseeded): Copenhagen (DEN), Inter (ITA), Lazio (ITA), Leipzig (GER), Napoli (ITA), Paris (FRA), Porto (POR), PSV Eindhoven (NED)

How does the draw work?

The group winners are seeded and the runners-up are unseeded. Seeded teams are drawn against unseeded teams.

Can teams from the same country face each other in the Champions League round of 16?

No side can face another team from the same national association.

Clubs cannot face opponents they met during the group stage.

The draw will be streamed live on UEFA.com.

When do the round of 16 games take place?

The round of 16 is played over the course of four weeks:

First legs: 13/14/20/21 February 2024
Second legs: 5/6/12/13 March 2024

Great goal by Joelinton to put Newcastle 1-0 up. Could be a massive night for them if they can qualify for the last 16.

PSG struggling to score in Dortmund which works in Newcastle’s favour.

Only 23 minutes in but Newcastle are dominating at the moment. Feels like it’s only a matter of time until they score. I don’t think Milan will hold out for much longer.

One eye on the Dortmund vs PSG game obviously, we have to hope Dortmund can stop PSG winning

90% of Manchester City's line up is filled with second tier players. Pep did that because Manchester City was no longer bothered by the results of this match.
Pep Guardiola is testing and giving second-string players the opportunity to show their abilities.
This group match is no longer as fierce as group F. Manchester City and RB Leipzig are certain to qualify.
A great goal from Hamilton to give Manchester City the lead in Serbia.

Yeah I doubt Pep is too bothered about this game and like you say he’s taken the opportunity to rest most of his stars.

38 minutes to go and still 1-0 up. I’m much more interested in other games tonight if I am honest.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be enough to buy 100 dollars worth of Bitcoin every month? on: December 13, 2023, 02:14:34 PM
You’re obviously very young so have plenty of time. $100 a month isn’t going to make you rich any time soon but as part of a diversified portfolio, $100 a month for your working life will make you much wealthier than most of your peers.

$100 a month will set you up really nicely as a retirement pot. Bitcoin will likely outperform traditional stocks and bank savings accounts for the significant future.

What's with that? Are we going to win the season title this year? I can sense it. Arsenal will slip for sure, Villa may have a place in top four, City will come back but let's hope it's not enough to win the title. We need to create more gap.

I sure hope so, mate. I don’t want to get carried away though, there are still so many games to go. I’m taking it game by game.

I think we’ll beat Man Utd this weekend, that’s as far as I want to look at the moment. We do look a lot better than last season, there is a lot more fight in the team hence all the comebacks. Would be good if we stop conceding the first goal though Cheesy

@CryptoMichNL
FOMC day today!

There's a 98% chance that we're not getting a rate hike today, and usually, prior to the FOMC you'll see a temporary risk-off move.

That's what we see in #Bitcoin , expecting us to come back up after.

We're still in good areas of support.

The tie of the day is the Group F in the UEFA Champions League

Will Newcastle United edge PSG and qualify for the champions league round of 16 or would PSG go through? Regardless of whatever happens tonight, Newcastle United have had a successful season already in the champions league and even if they slip to the europa league; the season is a success already.

What are your guesses? Do you think Luis Enrique guys can edge it ? or will Eddie Howe boss it?
I think Newcastle United will defeat AC Milan, while PSG draws Borussia Dortmund.

Group F is definitely the most exciting Group conclusion for tonight. I think Newcastle will beat AC Milan but I also think with little motivation tonight, Dortmund will get beaten tonight so it will be Dortmund as Group winners with PSG runner up in the Group to advance to the last 16.

It will no doubt be a night full of drama.

Im watching Manutd now and I heard a chorus "We want Glazers out lol"
Hard for Manutd to score without Rashford and Martial.
I think this match will end in a draw, also I will be not surprised either if Bayern win while the other match ends with a draw.

Glazers have spent more on players in recent seasons than every club in the PL except Chelsea. Man Utd fans love to blame the Glazers but the Glazers aren’t spending the money themselves, they’re not buying crap players for massive fees and coaching them.

Bayern have just gone 1-0 up, Man Utd are going out. Maguire and Shaw injured now too. Their next game…….Liverpool at Anfield **rubs hands together**

It’s do or die for many teams in the CL. Time to shit or get off the pot haha.

The most exciting action tonight is Group A which is really unique because all 4 teams can still qualify.

Aston Villa is the dark horse this season and is ready to kick out the traditional teams that always occupy the top five rankings. Even though Aston Villa managed to get three points from strong teams like Arsenal and Manchester City, they are not strong candidates to win the championship. But there is nothing wrong with Emery being able to maintain the consistency of his squad then the EPL title will be theirs. However, finishing in the top four is very rational for them.

I don’t think Aston Villa will last the course. They’ve done incredibly well to be at the top of the table but I don’t think it’ll last. Then again, I thought that about Leicester too when they won it.

I think like you said, a real success for Aston Villa would be to get CL football. That would be massive for a club like them. Whilst they are up at the top of the league though, they can dream.
