I disagree. The same segment of the population that voted for Trump remains having a similar attitude on 2016. Democrats support of defund the police and the black lives matter riots destroying communities? The young liberals should go out and vote if they do not want Trump hehe. However, I reckon young are also divided.

Also watch the video Trump's new campaign storyboard. The Return of the King hehehehe.

From what I have seen, the mainstream media is showing only one side of the debate. They are showing the BLM movement and the protest marches, but they never show the violence and rioting that is being done by the left wing militias. On the other hand, they are trying to paint a picture that it is the right-wing militias that are committing most of the violence. For example, the panelists trying to blame Pretty Boys and other right wing groups for violence during the first presidential debate. But Trump was smart, and he explicitly stated that the ANTIFA and the other left-groups are responsible for most of the rioting.

I will pretend I am not certain on the purpose of the mainstream media's agenda on BLM or the militias hehe, however, I know we can agree that the mainstream media have always been against Trump from day 1 of his administration.

Also, this news.

It appears Conor McGregor will fight Dustin Poirier on December 19. Also yes it will be this year, 2020 hehehe. I speculate that Conor only agreed on this fight to be on welterweight for his advantage.

Hello Dustin! I accepted the @ufc offer to fight you, but told them it must happen in 2020. I’m ready for Nov 21st, given that cards recent injury issues, as well as any of the December dates, the 12th and the 19th. I’ll also still donate the $500k to The Good Fight Foundation

@blacky90. That is his personal opinion but the data disagrees hehe. Bitcoin has followed the movements of the S&P500 for as high as 84%. I cannot find the correlation calculator, however. It was @figmentofmyass who shared it on an older thread.

@smooth. in particular, improve its responsiveness to hash rate changes

Is this for protection against 51% attacks?

In any case, many people might not appreciate it, however, mutisig is a very important update for Aeon and very overdue. Thank you.

The US government is going after people left and right. Indeed, who's next?! Lips sealed

What the hell was he doing in Spain? You'd think he would know better than to hang out in extradition-friendly countries. Damn, I honestly thought that guy would be trolling us for years to come.

Going after ICO promoters now.......you can almost hear Crypto Twitter collectively gulping in fear.

We would never know who until the American government begins to act. However, we might know someone who founded a company that has been selling illegal securities tokens for 7 years speculate that he might be next hehehe.

According to Chris Larsen, co-founder and executive chairman of Ripple Labs, the company is likely to move its headquarters overseas because due to the regulatory stance of the federal government towards the crypto industry.

Source https://www.theblockcrypto.com/linked/80039/chris-larsen-ripple-may-leave-us

I'm surprised they stuck around this long after Fincen came after them in 2015 for illegal money transmitting, BSA violations, etc.

If they really have been illegally issuing securities all this time (the jury is still out on that and the SEC has not commented) then moving overseas now won't save them.

I'm more worried about exchanges. I don't think Bitmex is the only exchange being targeted right now. There could be other sealed indictments that haven't come down yet. I worry about platforms like Bitfinex and Binance.

Do not worry, Bitfinex and iFinex is being targeted already because of issuing USDT hehehe. They do not appear afraid, however. They have issued the last 70% of total USDT only in the last 2 years.

@Febo. I argued about that before. However, why is Chris Larsen saying that Ripple might move overseas? Can their political connections not protect them anymore?
4826  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: United States CFTC Charges BitMEX Owners! on: October 08, 2020, 05:07:59 AM
@exstasie. They have done it before, I am quite certain they can takedown the service, seize the domain and begin imprisoning more of Arthur Hayes' group. They might have other Bitmex servers everywhere, however, would you deposit your bitcoin?
4827  Bitcoin / Press / [2020-10-08] Admiral says Bitcoin and crypto threaten democracy in South America on: October 08, 2020, 04:23:00 AM
What definition of democracy was he talking about? The American democracy where every other nation follows their rules? This is similar to their peace process. If you are not with it and its interests, they will bomb you hehehehe.

US Southern Command aims to better control unruly regimes in South America, but cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin are making things a little more difficult.

For Navy Admiral Craig Faller, head of US Southern Command, the use of cryptocurrency throughout the “young democracies” of the Southern Hemisphere is a problem for the United States—and he is taking this "threat" very seriously.

Are we under regulation season? Who will be next?

John McAfee has been arrested and is in Spain awaiting extradition to the United States.

Today, the Department of Justice unsealed a June 15 indictment for tax evasion, which alleges that the cybersecurity software developer and ICO hype man hid cryptocurrency and other assets in bank accounts in others' names. If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison.

Shortly before the announcement, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a civil complaint in US District Court against  John McAfee, alleging he secretly made over $23 million from promoting seven initial coin offerings.

@Reid. That was a good bet! Share your knowledge for the casual fans hehehe.

In any case, 7 points in the last 2 minutes. It appears this might be finished. All jokes aside, I was cheering for a Heat victory. Sad
4830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 07, 2020, 02:59:07 AM
I am presently watching the NBA final. Yes, I do believe that it might be rigged. There are some referees who do not call an offensive foul on the Lakers and another one is calling an offensive foul on the Heat that did not occur.

There is also a contrarian commentator who is also agreeing with the referees to make it appear that it was the correct call hehehehe.
4831  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: United States CFTC Charges BitMEX Owners! on: October 07, 2020, 02:28:13 AM
This announcement by the United Kingdom's Financial Conduct Authority, the FCA, might be related after Bitmex's legal issue.

I have mentioned this before. I speculate that it might not stop with crypto derivatives. The bans might also begin to crawl towards real cryptocoins and legally allow only people from a higher income bracket to buy and sell bitcoin.

FCA bans the sale of crypto-derivatives to retail consumers

The FCA considers these products to be ill-suited for retail consumers due to the harm they pose. These products cannot be reliably valued by retail consumers because of the:

inherent nature of the underlying assets, which means they have no reliable basis for valuation

prevalence of market abuse and financial crime in the secondary market (eg cyber theft)

extreme volatility in cryptoasset price movements

inadequate understanding of cryptoassets by retail consumers

lack of legitimate investment need for retail consumers to invest in these products
These features mean retail consumers might suffer harm from sudden and unexpected losses if they invest in these products.

Unregulated transferable cryptoassets are tokens that are not ‘specified investments’ or e-money, and can be traded, which includes well-known tokens such as Bitcoin, Ether or Ripple. Specified investments are types of investment which are specified in legislation. Firms that carry out particular types of regulated activity in relation to those investments must be authorised by the FCA.

@Reid. You are brave. That is very admirable hehehe. This might not be similar to the fairytale of the Cavaliers that won versus GSW, however. This might be another 15 point lead victory for the Lakers. I reckon sportsbooks might have given everyone a favor with -6.5 hehe.
4833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US 2020 Elections data, polls and bets on: October 06, 2020, 05:25:51 AM
For me, the populism of Trump has not subsided yet and this is going to be a 50/50 fight for both of them.

Back in 2016, Trump as a politician was a new comer. His opponent (Hillary) had a lot of past baggage and a large section of the population voted for Trump not because they agreed with his policies, but because they wanted to make sure that Hillary never becomes the president. Times have changed. Trump's disapproval ratings have remained consistently in the 50-55% range, and his opponent this time is regarded as a moderate (I am talking about Biden, and not about Kamala).

I disagree. The same segment of the population that voted for Trump remains having a similar attitude on 2016. Democrats support of defund the police and the black lives matter riots destroying communities? The young liberals should go out and vote if they do not want Trump hehe. 4834  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: United States CFTC Charges BitMEX Owners! on: October 06, 2020, 04:41:18 AM
I am no fan of centralized exchanges, but this is nonsense. US citizens are not allowed to trade on BitMex, and BitMex itself is incorporated in the Seychelles. This is the US government/associated agencies trying to police the world again. Also, banks launder money in far greater amounts all the time, and instead just get slapped with measly little fines that they don't even feel. But as soon as a bitcoin exchange is suspected of the same thing, the owners are arrested? This should be seen as an attack on bitcoin.

If you have any funds on BitMex, I would be trying to withdraw them ASAP. If the FBI are arresting the owners, you can guarantee they will be trying to seize assets as well.

This is called gross jurisdictional overreach by the American government. I had a similar argument for Bitfinex, iFinex and Tether which many went against me. However, when I created the big short thread arguing against Tether, many were against me also. Why hehehe.

However, yes. Agreed!

4835  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Big Short movie, BTC edition? on: October 06, 2020, 02:16:09 AM
@SquallLeonhart. There can be an argument that a bet against Tether can also be a bet against the price of bitcoin.

Also, this news. Are we under regulation season? Who will be next?

Also, I know everyone hates the Cowboys in here, however, they might cover -4.5 in their home stadium.

This caught my attention too, but more the ML. Browns won two in a row now and should have gotten some confidence, but it was "just" against Bengals/Football Team. If Dallas is able to win the TO battle and score a bit more on their own TO, they should comfortably win this.

I lost here, however, I won on the Bills -3. Josh Allen! I reckon sometimes it might be a mistake to bet against the trend hehe.

Yeah the bills have been impressive especially Josh Allen.  I knew they were going to be decent but they are definately the biggest surprise of the year so far.

Giants have looked absolutely pitiful but their d actually did a real good job holding the rams down almost all game.

Was there odds offered for regular NFL season MVP before the season begun? I cannot find anything from any sportsbook that accept cryptocoins.

In any case, Patriots playing better than than the Ravens against the Chiefs hehehe. They have given up a horrible turn over near the endzone, however.

Does everyone speculate the Heat can also win game 4 or is the Lakers only exhaling after their intensity in game 1 and game2? What will be the bet for game 4?

The Lakers might come back stronger, I reckon. It might be Lakers -6.5 hehehe?
4838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cuong Truong version of Bitcoin logo on: October 05, 2020, 02:49:27 AM
@logfiles. Be careful on how you place the tilt. Place it on a different direction or on the wrong angle, an army of maximalists will come out from the barracks and attack you hehehe.
4839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 05, 2020, 01:59:10 AM
@erikoy. The Lakers also caught a small lead of their own in the 4th quarter. The Heat should not sleep on this hehe. The Lakers might steal the game and cover the spread hehehehe.

Does the Heat need a big man for offensive rebounds? They only give the ball without a fight after shooting.
