Since when does ICE have any jurisdiction over MSBs? This is simply bureaucratic empire building.

Currency exchange on online forums shall also be identified as an illegal unlicensed money transfer service business by our friendly neighborhood tormentors hehehe.

You misinterpreted the quote.

which identifies ... independent cryptocurrency brokers’ use of ... online forums ... to engage in unlicensed money services businesses (MSB) activity.

Where have I misinterpreted? Unlicensed alleges illegal.

@avikz. Who wants to be associated with illegal drug and arms trafficking? Our tormentors might begin acting as if we are guilty unless proven innocent, however.
5562  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-02] Mike Novogratz Explains Why Bitcoin (BTC) Is Failing as Safe Haven on: March 03, 2020, 01:30:47 AM
Quote from: cr1776
Anyone who thinks cash or bonds are a safe Haven is ignoring the effect of inflation which will destroy all their value over time.

Exactly! Besides, it's being hypocritical. All these peeps do is brag about how your money should be 'working' for you 24/7. Your 'Cash' shouldn't be sitting in your bank accounts but rather should be invested and so on... and when there is a looming crisis on their head they eat up their own words... this shit is funny to watch...

However, it is also being hypocritical of us that we base the value of bitcoin on the unsafe, inflated dollar.

In any case, cash and bonds might be the safe haven only for during bear markets hehehe.

Is grin ready to be an anonymous enough cryptocoin to be the primary medium of exchange in the forum for protection and unlinkability?

Our tormentors will begin identifying independent currency exchangers on online forums as illegal money transmitting businesses.
5564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrency intelligence program targetting P2P, darknet marketd and forums on: March 02, 2020, 03:41:12 AM
Currency exchange on online forums shall also be identified as an illegal unlicensed money transfer service business by our friendly neighborhood tormentors hehehe.

It might be the best time to begin using anonymous coins as the primary medium by forum currency exchangers.

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has revealed the existence of a Cryptocurrency Intelligence Program (CIP) in the agency’s 2021 budget proposal.

The proposal states that the CIP seeks to identify unlicensed capital flows taking place across peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplaces, online forums, and darknet markets. The CIP was developed by ICE’s Bulk Cash Smuggling Center (BCSC).

“The BCSC has developed a Cryptocurrency Intelligence Program (CIP) which identifies unlicensed money services businesses in the form of independent cryptocurrency brokers’ use of peer-to-peer (P2P) sites, online forums and classified advertisements, and darknet markets (DNM) to engage in unlicensed money services businesses (MSB) activity.”

5565  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculating with Tom Lee on: March 02, 2020, 02:52:55 AM
This is the skeptical me's translation of Tom Lee's statmement. Will everyone please stop dumping your shares to give myself and my clients more time to dump our shares hehehehe.

He also mentioned stocks are beginning to appear like cryptocharts. This might be Tom Lee's 2018 for stocks hehe.

Lee says that the degree of investor panic over the coronavirus is unwarranted, reports MarketWatch.

“Because of the idiosyncratic nature of a potential pandemic, it is really difficult to know when it is priced in.”

The analyst also forecasts that the stock market could bottom out and ignite a V-shaped reversal that would signal a sharp rally after the severe correction.

Also Peter Schiff's gold did not escape the fear of what triggered the big dump last week. Some journalists alleged that it was the effects of the corona virus on the economy.

However, that was not what caught my attention in this article. It is the final statement telling us that bonds and cash are the real safe havens. Is tether the real safe haven of the cryptospace hehehehe?

From the U.S. stock market suffering from its quickest correction since the Great Depression to oil prices plummeting 16 percent — this week will surely go down in history.

When global markets got gripped by a ruthless sell-off, Bitcoin failed to serve as a store of value, which many believe should be its main use case. In fact, BTC performed worse than any traditional asset, shedding 15 percent of its value in less than a week. At press time, it is just trading just below its key support level of $8,500.

One of the biggest surprises of this tumultuous week was the gold price recording a five percent drop on Friday. The yellow metal is considered to be the most robust store of value.

Just like during the 2008 crisis, investors started liquidating both stocks and gold for covering their margin calls. Bonds and cash turned out to be the real safe haven.

5567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: March 01, 2020, 02:05:53 AM
You are betting against the Celtics on their home stadium and with a handicap?  That might be a mistake.

In any case, a prediction. I reckon Giannis will not extend his contract if the Bucks do not reach the finals again.
5568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BOXING: Fury vs Wilder III on: March 01, 2020, 01:28:32 AM
It's Wilder's last chance to prove that he can bounce back after a big lose.
I think in the 3rd fight, people would follow their emotion and they will be hype about Fury's win and that would give a better betting odds for Wilder.
I'm wondering what would be the odds for "Wilder to win by KO", I am pretty sure I'll bet on that.
Or the public will be backing Fury this time since he already did it before why not go for the second time right? I might also take Wilder depending on which side is favored and how it'll move as match day gets closer.

When do this fight is expected to happen as you mentioned in the subject "Fury vs Wilder III" ?
As per the details Wilder have only shown hi interest for another match with fury and calling it a war to create the hype and attention. If you know any details of the third match between them, do let us know.
There's no announcement yet on the said rematch but this article mentioned the estimate date might be somewhere in July.

This might be very disadvantageous for Wilder. He will rest for only 1 month and begin training again for 3 months until July?

Let us also hope that he does not wear 40 pound costumes during the ring walk again hehehhe.
5569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jessie Vargas vs Mikey Garcia on: March 01, 2020, 12:11:08 AM
@Baofeng. Mikey Garcia is 5 inches shorter than Jessie Vargas and the lightweight Mikey Garcia's power on welterweight is lesser. Jessie Vargas also has a 2 inch reach advantage.

My prediction, this fight will be a split or a majority decision for Jessie Vargas.
5570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 29, 2020, 02:14:17 AM
This might be perfect scam for the next ICO season. A famous worldwide sports franchise partnering with a blockchain token project for pumping and dumping hehehehe.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has partnered with Dapper Labs, a company that builds digital collectibles on the blockchain to help bring the technology to the sport.

Dapper Labs is most famous for building CryptoKitties, a blockchain game where you trade digital cats. In 2017, the game was so popular it stalled the Ethereum blockchain for days.

UFC is known for mixing up fighting styles into one unique form of fighting that includes boxing, grappling and submissions. Its biggest fighter is, of course, Conor McGregor, the Irish fighter known for winning two world titles and causing mayhem in New York.

According to a statement, the UFC and Dapper Labs will create digital collectibles under the UFC brand. These will be tradeable on the Dapper Labs Flow blockchain platform, and allow fans to buy, sell and trade assets associated with the sport.

@JollyGood. Wilder's best decision might be to fight another contender, let Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua unify all the heavyweight titles and then challenge the undisputed champion hhehehehe.
5572  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-02-24] Binance CEO Makes Rare Price Prediction—Says This Is When To Buy on: February 29, 2020, 01:18:31 AM
Coming from a guy who profits from commissions from trading? This is more of a marketing ploy rather than a tip since him suggesting us to buy more Bitcoin would only mean some revenue gain for their crypto exchange. What's more interesting is how the hell did he made Forbes be up for this since they barely cover any crypto related news and now they suddenly covered the CEO of the biggest crypto exchange in the industry. Changpeng is obviously taking advantage of the recent price action and he wants more people to buy Bitcoin since they are one of the most popular exchange out here obviously the hype will just go into their favor. For people who don't have any Bitcoin until now, this is not the right time to buy Bitcoin as you are holding it without a margin of safety at hand meaning you'll just be holding it at a risk.

Agreed! That might be the real motivation behind his statement. Do not slap yourself. Buy bitcoin on my exchange where I will earn millions of dollars in commissions hehehehe.

We should never trust a cryptospace businessman. Very many scammers hehe.

@pixie85. Your thinking about the effects of the corona virus might be underestimated and limited. I reckon that you should read more news on what the wider effects are on the economy around the world.

Asia is beginning to feel the negative effects. Italy and Spain might be the next countries.

Coronavirus is drying up the supply chains of Southeast Asia’s factories

Even as China pushes factories to reopen, the ripple effects of Covid-19 have already proved inescapable for manufacturers outside the country. Particularly hard hit is Southeast Asia, where industries that depend on China for raw materials are being hobbled as their supplies dry up.

In Cambodia, the government today warned about 200 factories making mostly clothing will probably have to slow or cease production entirely due to a lack of raw materials. China—the world’s biggest textile exporter—provides more than 60% of the materials feeding Cambodia’s garment and textile factories, according to the country’s association of garment manufacturers. Prime Minister Hun Sen has publicly urged the Chinese ambassador to send more materials by ship and plane so the industry won’t have to shut down.

Vietnam is facing similar situations in its garment industry and beyond, with China being a major supplier of steel and components for electronics. “Car, electronics and phone manufacturers are experiencing difficulty in acquiring supplies and materials due to disruptions from the virus,” an agency representing Vietnam’s manufacturing sector told Reuters. Phone maker Samsung, which manufactures in Vietnam, is among the companies facing a serious production slowdown. Even the furniture industry, which gets component parts from China, is under duress.

Grin

What excuse would he have next time?

He will not be able use the "my costume weight 40 pounds so I was tired before the fight started" excuse again...

If they make a trilogy, it will be a nice trolling move from Fury to also walk out in some funny suit. But Wilder should walk out in wheel chair, to that will save him from being tired.

I reckon that there might be a serious head injury that Wilder does not want everyone to know. His ear was bleeding from the hole after a punch on the 1st round and he was never standing steadily after that.

The fluids in his ear that is responsible for balance might have been shaken very hard and it might have caused a form of vertigo.

In any case, agreed! Wilder should not invoke the rematch clause. His boxing career will be destroyed if he loses versus Gypsy King again.
5575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: **Best POW/POS newcomer coin in 2020** on: February 28, 2020, 01:45:23 AM
@Mindin. Mimblewimblecoin hehehe?

I predict that 2020 and 2021 will be the hype of Mimblewimble privacy technology hehehe. Litecoin have begun adopting it. The next adopters might be the other old altcoins similar to dogecoin. The last would be the scamcoins hehehehe.

With a provable supply cap of 20,000,000, MWC is a scarce pure proof of work Mimblewimble based coin that enables greater network scalability, privacy and fungibility than legacy blockchain protocols. All transactions on the base layer use Greg Maxwell's Coin Join with his Confidential Transactions and signature aggregation. MWC is the technologically superior ghost money.

@squatter. However, you are trusting the exchanges that issued the bitcoin tokens in Liquid to have the backing of real bitcoins. The bitcoins on the Lightning network does not require that type of trust.
5577  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term bullish run is now over, and it was most likely a failed rally on: February 28, 2020, 12:10:31 AM
@exstasie. It was the sheep traders that were trading on ETF news on 2018. I am talking about the wealthy people close to the Wilshire Phoenix investment group who might have begun buying bitcon as the day of the SEC's filing came closer.
5578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 27, 2020, 04:32:58 AM
The career of Wilder is definitely not over but he is 34 years old and even so he still has time to try to get a shot at the title again but it would be better for him to take some time out and fix those issues that he had in his personal life before he went in to the Fury fight. After that he should have two or three warm up fights before trying to set up a title shot against whoever holds the bests and anyway by then he might be the no1 mandatory fighter which would allow him to get another chance at being heavyweight world champion again.

What personal issues? Wilder was at the top of his game and held the belt, so he's not going to vacate it or have a few warm up fights with nobodies. Fighting a few bums is pointless when you can fight the best of the rest and make the big bucks doing so. I'm sure we'll see a different Wilder in the rematch and I doubt he'll make the same mistakes again.

Well, according to some news outlets Wilder has said there's going to be a third fight. He's also fired the guy who threw in the towel/saved his bacon. It's talking about a July date. The cause of his wobbly legs was his unusual ring entry costume according to him. Fair enough.

Well that's his excuse. Not sure I buy it, but if true then he doesn't have anyone else to blame. These costumes they come out in are getting a bit silly, especially if they're effecting their game.

Why was Wilder not standing steadily after the 1st round? Was it the punch to the ear? The skeptical me reckons that someone put something in his water hehehe. Tyson Fury was also shown very relaxed before the fight and appeared to already know something hehehehee.

Why don't you track down Tyson Fury and ask him to punch you in the face and head repeatedly and see how your legs are after it. Or maybe it will be something in your water when you struggle to stand?  Roll Eyes

Hehehehe. That would be funny, yes. It was the skeptical me that was thinking about it. However, I am very happy he won because he was my bet.

Watch the fight again and witness the strangeness of Deontay Wilder's unsteadiness after the 1st round.
5579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peter Schiff speculation, bitcoin will never hit $50k on: February 27, 2020, 04:01:19 AM
Peter Schiff very expectedly on the attack as bitcoin's price weakens hehehe. I reckon that he is partly correct on his criticizing of APompliano, however. Why are the bitcoiners changing the storyboard from safe haven asset to noncorrelated asset?

Schiff: Bitcoin as a safe haven is “nonsense”

BTC/USD has seen considerable selling pressure since the weekend, losing almost $1,000 over the past three days.
“Bitcoin promoters claim #Bitcoin has proven itself to be superior to #gold as a safe haven and store of value. This is nonsense,” one post reads.

“Bitcoin hasn't been around long enough to prove anything other than P.T Barnum right. There's a sucker born every minute and many of them own Bitcoin.”

For Schiff, however, this was not convincing enough.

“On CNN @APompliano admitted that #Bitcoin isn't a safe haven asset, but a non-correlated asset, meaning regardless of what other assets do, Bitcoin is as likely to go down as up,” he claimed on Wednesday.

“So the value of Bitcoin is that no one has any idea what its price will do. What's that worth?”

There are many experts telling everyone that the corona virus and its effect on the global market was the cause bitcoin's dump. I reckon that it might be also these whales who were pumping for an ETF approval that did it.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rejected Wilshire Phoenix's bid for a bitcoin-based exchange-traded fund (ETF).

In a filing posted Wednesday, the securities regulator wrote the New York-based Wilshire Phoenix had not proven the bitcoin (BTC) market is sufficiently resistant to market manipulation. Wilshire, a newcomer to the financial services industry, first applied for the ETF last summer with NYSE Arca.
