This actually loled me.  Ripple being less decentralized or more with the description of these establishments and articles, this will not replace the fact that it's a centralized coin. From the very beginning of the article, if you have understood it correctly, half of the supply is in escrow and they are always boasting the partnerships with the banks. How it can have a part of decentralization? Agreed! Also, what most of the people in the cryptospace do not know is when a user wants to run a node, he needs permission from Ripple for his node to become part of Ripple's unique node list to become a validator. You should not need this permission. |

the contrarian in me is thrilled to see these bearish opinions. it seems like lots of people are beginning to doubt the halving narrative. this is a good thing: bull markets are built on skepticism and pessimism. i'd be a lot more worried right now if everyone was bullish and hopeful. let the bears keep shorting bitcoin 5 months from the halving. see what happens.  However, what would be your argument for her prediction that investors', assuming she is talking about the institutional investors, preference towards bitcoin derivatived instead of bitcoin? Her argument is that no pump will occur because all money will be in cryptoderivatives. we don't need institutional investors for price to rise, especially considering how illiquid the market is. bitcoin's extremely limited supply and retail investor demand alone can spark another parabolic bubble IMO. also, physically backed and delivered derivatives have BTC underlying them, so if institutions are bullish on BTC, strong demand in these derivatives markets (like bakkt) will drive spot prices upwards. However, bitcoin market is more regulated today than before. It might be harder for the pumpers to pump it similar to the Mtgox bot pump and the Bitfinex Tether printing pump hehehe. |

It has only been 2 halvings. This is not much data to be certain that miner capitulation will not occur on the next one. Also, bitcoin is more regulated today than 4 years ago. It might be harder to pump without the institutional investors' help. |

Ehm. Isn't the main purpose of these coins to be traded back and forth anonymously? I would say it's much better to have centralized exchanges not mess around with them. It obviously hurts the liquidity, but in return you get a greater deal of privacy. Anyone buying such coins from a centralized exchange to finance or buy something the state doesn't want is a dumbo. Also, the actual use of these coins is highly overrated when it comes to their privacy features. Not enough people care enough about what features they offer to actually be upset about exchanges removing them slowly but surely. I expected the use of these coins to pick up, but adoption wise they haven't gotten anywhere. That might be true only because most of the people who are participating in the cryptospace are only using cryptocoins as speculative investments. That might not be true anymore in the future when everyone begins using them as currency. |

before watching the Nina Ansaroff fight i would have easily gone for Claudia to win but after that fight i am not picking Claudia just like that because of past performance. I am picking Cláudia Gadelha in this fight simply because of her ground skills and i am expecting her to take Alexa Grasso down and win the fight. Alexa Grasso is coming into the fight from a loss against Carla Esparza and i am expecting the same game plan from Claudia too. You are right, Claudia VS Alexa should be another great fight too, in this one i would like to bet on Alexa because i have seen her past fights and i feel like she has some nice potential. I saw her in the UFC in Mexico a couple of years ago, it was a nice show. The problem i see with Alexa grasso is her fighting style, she is not that great on the ground and she likes the stand up fight and she always struggle against wrestlers and you can expect Claudia to take her down easily and control the fight. I bet you had a great experience watching the fight live in the stadium. Claudia also has more experience versus more tough fighters in the UFC. Conor's transformation. He has more bulky muscles than the time he fought Nate Diaz also in welterweight. I speculate that his speed might be affected by the bulk. He might also be stronger, however.  |

Nah. Some day there'll be a significant proportion of people earning and paying in crypto and it'll be the thing they'll want above anything else in return for selling their shit. There'll always be the need for fiat but it won't be the absolute be all and end all as it is now. This is a transitional period. The quicker the loop closes the less power the old system has. Just as their anality reaches fever pitch they may find a whole section of the world's population has drifted away with little requirement to dip into their anus in future. Right this very moment I am earning BTC writing this bilge. I've paid a few people with it for repairs and a few bits of tat and they've paid others with it. Next year I'm renting a place in the US with BTC. I directed the bloke to Bitpay but he said wasn't interested and intended to see where it went. Times that by a few countries and off you go. . How long will this be? We speculated that the cryptospace would disrupt and tame the fiat system, however, it is the system that is taming bitcoin through strict regulations, KYC. |

Does anyone know why they asked for payments in BTC?  I mean that using a privacy coin like Monero would be appropriate Why do most dark markets still run on BTC when many of them have a Monero option? Because people are lazy and it's more convenient despite the constant risk of it coming back to bite them. My skeptical answer? The darknet vendors might be people from the drug enforcement agencies hehehe. The skeptical me thinks that this might be another move to create negative news for bitcoin. However, I reckon that this might also be the beginning of a time when some criminal syndicates use the cryptospace not only for drugs, they might begin using it more for kidnap for ransom and extortion.
