501  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-13] Highest in 2 Years: 65% of Bitcoin Hash Power Is in China, Report.. on: December 14, 2019, 05:55:39 PM
China has always been dominating when it comes to the large portion of bitcoin hash power. Consider the cheap source of security and the fact that most of the mining farms are located there. Not forgetting the fact that the chinese people tend to exploit cryptocurrency at an earlier stage more than most countries. But i doubt they would ever come together to plot an attack on the network. Do you have any fears at OP?
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Things you could purchase with Cryptocurrencies (Opera Merc) on: December 14, 2019, 02:42:39 PM
I would definitely check this out but just a question about Bitrefill, can it be accessed in every country or they have some accepted telecommunication networks that they accept. Also, can you give us some proof of transaction as i don't want to get scammed trying to recharge my data balance through their service.
503  Economy / Economics / Re: ECB President: There is clearly a demand out there that we have to respond to on: December 14, 2019, 02:04:56 PM
I think what she clearly means is that bitcoin as an anonymous and decentralized currency will still be used even if the government bans it. I mean how would you detect that someone in a particular country is using bitcoin or not, however this does not mean that she is in support of bitcoin. I guess she wants to remain neutral in the talks about adoption of bitcoin.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto trends that happened in 2019 on: December 14, 2019, 10:41:42 AM
Does 99% of ICO's being either a scam or money grab constitute as trend?
Hahahaha, ibet it does, actually i think it's should be the foremost point with this trend. Damn it, i have seen so many projects rise and die like the strike of lightining moving across the sky. I can;t even keep up with the list as it's unending. However the lessons have been learnt and we have gained the experience hence we will not fall culprit to these kind of schemes anymore. Invest wisely guys!
505  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is your Android Wallet secure? Most of the 37 wallets should scare you! on: December 14, 2019, 10:30:13 AM
It's so relieving to see my favourite wallet Mycelium in the verifiable section. I think this post will spur cryptocurrency wallets to be more secured in safeguarding the assets of their users. A big thumbs up to all the developers of this project. I would be glsd if you can cinsider looking at HubrisOne wallet, I think that wallet might scam users someday to come.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Keys is coming. One exchange is going to fail. Stay safe, take action. on: December 13, 2019, 04:36:47 PM
HitBTC is one of the worthless exchange in this industry full of fake trades and volume. It's so shameful how people are taking advantage of the blockchain industry to commit all these scams. Project managers should make the necessary research about exchanges before listing their coins over there because so many coins have lost their value when listed on HitBTC because of its low fake trading volume.
507  Other / Off-topic / Re: Twitter CEO and pro-Bitcoiner Jack Dorsey strikes again! on: December 13, 2019, 01:38:33 PM
This is a great development which is being backed by Jack Dorsey. Twitter as a social media has been quite supportive of the blockchain industry rather than its counterpart Facebook. I hope Jack comes out in the open when this project is ready to hit this space so that we an fully support it as a community but i doubt they would hold any IEO as such projects are likely going to be self-funded entirely by the team.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless projects! on: December 13, 2019, 10:28:40 AM
It's pretty simple mate, just take a look at their roadmap and see to what extent they have accomplished the individuals targets on it. Also, you can look on coinmarketcap to see if at it is being traded then you can compare its total marketcap as well as the daily 24 hour volume. Consider other successful partnerships that it might have gained as a result of its progress. These are some of the factors that i believe you need to consider when looking at the progress of any ICO/IEO.
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I forgot the password from wallet.dat 18.2 BTC on: December 13, 2019, 08:24:23 AM
If you have the passphrase or the private key of the wallet then that should not be a problem. Just uninstall the wallet and reinstall it again but when setting it up use the restore wallet/recover wallet function. However, if you did not save the keyphrase of your wallet then i am sorry your funds are lost forever. This should make you learn how to backup and write down your wallet details in a book. I have been doing this ever since i got into this space and i have not encountered any situation of this sort.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto/Blockchain hype over? on: December 13, 2019, 08:05:16 AM
The hype to support useless and projects with no products is definitely over. Investors have learn from the numerous scams that spread through this industry in 2017. There are some projects that are still thriving in this industry despite the bear market situation that we are in. These days, investors don't buy into hype anymore but projects with good and realistic case so if you plan on initiating any project make sure it has some good value before announcing it in here.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nike secured blockchain patent for cryptokicks on: December 12, 2019, 10:26:25 AM
This is a great improvement about the exposure and adoption of the blockchain technology. Nike is one of the biggest and famous foot wears industry and this initiative of theirs can even spur other industries to inculcate the blockchain technology. I just can't wait to see my favorite brand Adidas also do something similar to make blockchain technology.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Bitcoin scampany got rekt! on: December 12, 2019, 05:19:37 AM
Seriously i don't know how some folks get swayed by these silly tactics. I bet is greed for more, darn..a bitcoin mining pool in this day and age Grin. Ahh, well it's good these culprits have been found and brought to be book. I hope they are able to fish all the guys that purported this crime. People should also learn some lessons out of these experiences and stop falling for these cheap schemes every now and then.
513  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Crypto Exchanges Should Lower Their Fees and Profit Margins on: December 12, 2019, 04:54:50 AM
This is so true and thanks for bringing the community's attention to this. Most exchanges charge very high prices when it comes to their trading fees and withdrawal fees. What really annoys me is that they charge us individual fees yet send the funds in bulk to save themselves some money out of the fees that was charged on users. Binance exchange is one of the exchanges that charge very high. It's great to see Polonex on this path, i knowexmarkets  is also an exchange that charges no withdrawal fees.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who needs Satoshi Nakamoto principles? on: December 11, 2019, 07:21:56 PM
I think the entire crypto industry agrees to a larger extent that Proof of Work is definitely not the best of blockchain consensus mechanisms due to the possibility of its being easily centralized. For this reason even Ethereum one of the world's popular blockchain has switched proof of stake mechanism as this makes the blockchain network very decentralized and void of any centralization. We need to improve upon what Satoshi built folks.
515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of the current status of Bitcoin? on: December 11, 2019, 06:59:38 PM
Aside the price of bitcoin which many keep on ranting about as they can't hold their balls any longer everything is going on fine with me. Rightly as you said, the exposure of bitcoin is getting larger and larger hence many people are getting to know about it more than they did a decade ago. What is really stifling the growth of bitcoin is the bad breath from governments and strict rules and regulations concerning it. On general i think we are doing good and 2020 will definitely be a good year for all bitcoin holders.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Italy is now anti-cash and pro-Bitcoin? on: December 11, 2019, 12:13:35 PM
Many countries are facing the reality in one way or another that in the next decade to come this world is gradually switching into a cashless ecosystem. Ghana also announced its plans in creating their own digital form of payment not necessarily a cryptocurrency. One thing that i have realized is that, even if these countries decide to adopt digital form of payment most are likely going to create their own cryptocurrency and not necessarily use bitcoin or ethereum. Should this be a great concern for bitcoin holders?
517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Rises to $20-$50k After Halving...Thoughts? on: December 11, 2019, 09:03:36 AM
His predictions are not far from feasibility. I have always had it in mind that if bitcoin is to see any huge price after this incoming block reward halving it will definitely be within these ranges. Anyway, let's not get our hopes too high since this can go on the opposite side you know. This is crypto that we  are talking about, very volatile and therefore anything can happen regardless of all predictions.
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Suisse tram in Zurich, Switzerland on: December 11, 2019, 08:48:50 AM
This form of promotion is incredible! Having such a huge display of bitcoin on a train in the transport sector is one of the best way to increase the awareness of bitcoin to the world. Though i think the people of Switzerland know much about bitcoin already, hopefully we can see this form of promotion in some of the developing countries in Africa and Asia.

Hey man, you have a skill that is in a very high demand in this industry. As a developer do you the number of project managers that are in need of developers to employ. Dude look up some of the ICO sites and you will definitely find a project to work with. You can also visit the ANN of some projects and see how best you can be off service to them. Any of these should help.
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypt is now legal in Ukraine on: December 10, 2019, 05:30:07 PM
Wow, this awesome. I am much more happier about the fact that Ukraine has made such announcement about legalizing cryptocurrencies than the nuances of details contained in this bill. This act will encourage other countries to reconsider their harsh decisions about crypto and also make way for those countries who have not made any stance with cryptocurrencies to legalize it in one way or another. Let's never give up on the adoption and use of cryptocurrencies because it will happen someday, hopefully.
