501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Goulamirian Vs Zurdo Ramirez WBA Super World Cruiserweight Title March 30 on: March 04, 2024, 01:26:53 PM

I believe this has the making of a great fight the two protagonists happen to have outstanding records and they are vying for the WBA Super World Cruiserweight Title on  March 30, which is why I created a poll as I'm sure that this fight will go either way.

One is making his US debut while the other is hoping to become the first Mexican to become a Cruiserweight champion

Quote
There will be a clash of titans on Saturday, March 30, as WBA Cruiserweight Super World Champion Arsen “Feroz” Goulamirian (27-0, 19 KOs) of Yerevan, Armenia makes his U.S. fighting debut to defend his championship hardware against hungry former World Champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (45-1, 30 KOs). Ramirez will be hoping to break records yet again to become the first Mexican to become a cruiserweight champion. The momentous, 12-round fight is presented in association with Y12 Boxing and will take place at YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood and broadcast live on DAZN.

Clash of the titans; Arsen Goulamirian vs Gilberto Ramirez

502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: March 04, 2024, 10:01:30 AM
But for the PPV, there are no price yet, but it will be in the range of $70-$80 if I will speculation.

I will be leaning to as high as 1 million PPV to as low as 750,000 buy. I think Ryan can bring this kind of money in his fight right now, last fight is not PPV against Duarte, but he has set the record with Tank Davis last year with 1.2 million PPV.

This could be the range, as they are not that popular, or the fight is the unification fight. I think Pacman vs Mayweather PPV was around $80-90, so your speculation is quite on point.

Regarding the PPV total revenue, last time Ryan fought, which was against Tank Davis, they were able to sell 1.2 million PPV, so 1 million is quite realistic. But this might not break that fight since Tank Davis has a different appeal, being a KO artist, exciting to watch in the ring.

https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/gervonta-davis-vs-ryan-garcia-fight-pay-per-view-numbers-live-gate-exceed-expectations-in-las-vegas/

There's a possibility that this fight will go near that number or even break it, this fight is four years in the making

Here is the video of that thrash-talking

Ryan Garcia & Devin Haney Face-Off, Exchange Words Ahead of Potential Fight

They used to be friends they even hug each other In this video it is Haney who wants the fight to happen, after this, Haney wins an undisputed title while Ryan was beaten by Gervonta so it is different now, Ryan goes after Haney, and with their history and conflict of style and their backstabbing there's a possibility that the number will be near the Ryan-Haney fight.

Ryan is hyped and motivated for this fight he has a plan already after this fight so let's see if the plan will be ruined or he will continue with his plan

503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs Jermall Charlo 4th May 2024 in Las Vegas on: March 04, 2024, 08:41:02 AM

From several conversations and also the news that I know, the actual fight will be Canelo Alvarez vs Jaime Munguia and this seems to have reached an agreement, but it is still not clear what can be confirmed because until now I have not found any progress regarding the agreement.
It just that several media have broadcast rumors regarding Canelo Alvarez fighting Jaime Munguia and this is an interesting fight in my opinion.
Previously in another thread the discussion about Canelo was also presented with quite lot of feedback given from several forum members, but I will still see what will happen to Canelo fight schedule on May 4.
Maybe there will be unexpected changes but we will see soon because there are only less than 3 months left for the battle to take place.

Source : https://twitter.com/IFLTV/status/1764206765002965503?t=VGJFk7FqXEVakms8GwrXCQ&s=19

This is still rumors I still hold that Canelo wants the Jermall Charlo to push, he has a basis for why he needs this to happen, Jermall is an easy fight he doesn't want to be in trouble and he wants to look great in front of his Mexican fans on May 4 because it's a Mexican feast but PBC don't want a fight that will not yield profit for the promoters he also don't want to fight Munguia who happens to be a Mexican also and is considered a hungry fighter with good potential.

A Canelo-Munguia fight is attractive as Munguia is also undefeated, one of them should give in we'll see a confirmation in a few hours if this is the fight that will likely happen I will keep this thread open until there's a confirmation if the fight is finally confirmed there is news that they are still negotiating or if the deal failed then this match against Jermall Charlo is possible.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / What Work Now May Not Work Tomorrow on: March 03, 2024, 03:51:49 PM
I always tell and advise my friends who are new to gambling to never look for a pattern in luck-based games because there is none even the ever-popular martingale is not a guarantee that you can find a pattern that will give you a continuous win.

I have a friend who boasted that he had found a pattern where it allowed him to win 10 successive bets on Mine Sweeper, he used that pattern two successive days with success but unfortunately for him on the third day those patterns are not working anymore even on the 4th and fifth days, now he is back on the drawing board again..

I told him that the house edge plays out and since this is luck based game what works now may not work tomorrow every day is a new session with new patterns

How about you have you at one time of your gambling experience experienced finding patterns that you think are effective and consistent only to find out later after several days that it's not working anymore..

And are you still looking for patterns that you think will work in the long run for you.

506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: March 03, 2024, 01:37:13 PM

I think this is just part of the promotion, specially on what Ryan is doing in his social media, he even had video or him or images of smoking marijuana. So for me, this is not the real Ryan, he just wants to be talk now that he has a upcoming fight with Haney. There's also a video of Devin's father Bill also circulating that he has somewhat also smoking a weed.

And he is attacking at all front, releasing the video of the sparring between Tank and then the then very young Devin Haney. He is like doing a psyche war before the fight and wanted to get into the head of the Haney's. And the Haney's response is that they are taking this fight very personal now.

We are not sure if they are really taking it personally or if it's just a show. Nowadays, for a boxer to be popular, you not only need talent in fighting but also need to be an actor to gain the attention of the fans, resulting in significant revenue. Ryan knows this is a big fight but his chance of winning is slim, but he could increase his chance of earning here. So, that's what he is doing now.

If we buy their story, it's up to us, but it's obviously just part of the promotion. Ryan is just too good at it, and Haney is learning how to ride it.

But a boxer needs to walk his talk, if he cannot he will be like Adrian Bronner who loves to talk a lot but cannot back up his actions, Ryan is good at creating hype because he is a social media king an Instagram king and he loves to keep his followers interested, But for me based on their body language they really hate each other, they do not hold back they show disrespect, of course after the fight whoever wins it will be gentleman enough to reach out to his opponent because both of them have an image to protect.

They do not really have to resort to this gimmick if ever this is a gimmick, because the fight will sell because this is Haney and Ryan Garcia boxing fans will be interested because they are both top names in boxing.

But what I'm sure of is the two will go at each other they both wanted this fight to happen since 2018 when Ryan was having a great run and Haney was looking to make a name for himself
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 03, 2024, 10:43:14 AM
When everything's going well, it's cool. But sometimes (often?) money problems lead to divorce. Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?

You are fully aware that your partner is into gambling and you accept it based on your statement because you mention that you accept your partner's losses and winnings but you should be fully aware of how risky gambling is and there's a possibility of your partner losing everything or winning a jackpot.

It's one-sided if you divorce because your partner happens to lose everything, but what if he won a jackpot after you divorce your partner will you ask your partner to get back at you?

You have a bow that you will stick through thick and thin you should have stopped your partner from gambling if you don't agree with this habit in the beginning. But you condone your partner so you accept any eventualities whether it's in your partner's favor or not.

By the way, this is the result of the poll and the majority voted that it should not result in divorce.

Your spouse/husband earns a lot in gambling but one day loses it all: how do you react?
I'm divorcing / leaving him or her   - 1 (5.9%)
I forgive him/her   - 16 (94.1%)
Total Voters: 17

508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Ryan Bourland Cruiserweight 8 Rounds March 2 on: March 03, 2024, 04:29:29 AM
The flabby 35 year old oil rig worker stood no chance as Jake Paul gets the easy first round stoppage. Perhaps now Jake Paul can step up his level of competition but I wouldn’t hold my breath. This clown called out Canelo in the post-fight interview and accused him of ducking him. It’s all for clout, there is no chance he fights someone with the potential to severely hurt him. To his credit, the tough guy shtick still works at getting him enough attention to keep this circus act going a while longer.
The fight is forgettable this is one of Jake Paul's easy fights, Bourland did not come to fight, he just waited for Jake to knock him out, Bourland's skill did not show up to this fight, it's an easy fight for Jake Paul, hopefully, this will be his last fight against low rated fighters, he is in the winning track after that Tommy Fury loss if he is that serious in making a name in professional boxer then a fight against fighters on the top should be sought.

I don't think Canelo will pay attention to this guy he is not on his level and a big insult to Canelo's status if he agreed to fight Jake Paul, he has to prove himself first and this fight did not prove that he can beat champions in any division.
Jake Paul will never be relevant on the top-level competition he is good at fighting wash-up MMA and low-level fighters to make him look good.
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it time now to use Premium VPN when playing in the casino? on: March 02, 2024, 03:51:09 PM

So I’m thinking if using premium VPN with dedicated IP should become a standard now to avoid this kind of multiple account incident? What do you think? Currently I’m using Cyberghost Premium VPN after reading this cases since I have friends too that using same casino since I refer them to play on it.

Casinos has sophisticated tools in their interface to trace all their users, I'm not a casino operator but if other platform can trace your coordinates or exact locations much more on casino platforms, casinos are fully aware of manipulation, cheats and hacks trying to commit by players so they have all the tools to trace this because if they do not have this so many casinos will lose through exploit.

The decision to use VPN at your own decision is risky, you have to first ask the casino to check their terms and weigh in between the risk of using and not using, this is where the advice of only play in a reputable casino comes in, if you're playing in a reputable casino any issues that may arise from multi accounting the reputable casino they can properly address it and they are willing to undergo arbitration we have seen casinos willing to undergo third party arbitration through Askgambler or CasinoGuru to prove their point, because they have reputation to protect, scam casinos will not go arbitration.
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: March 02, 2024, 03:05:14 PM
I just stumble this video and it was broadcast just yesterday in their press conference this is not looking good for Ryan While Haney shouted to stop using Coke Ryan denied that and admitted that he is drinking and using weed, in the video he is stammering and having a hard time addressing the issue.
Apart from lack of skill, this is already a giveaway that against a vastly improved Haney he has no chance, his weed smoking will affect Ryan's performance, smoking weeds is like smoking tobacco there is a similar effect that can hamper proper breathing

Devin Haney tells Ryan Garcia to lay off the cocaine. What's Ryan's response?

We just don't know if he uses weed when he fought Gervonta, but Ryan is exposing himself too much after this fight he has no reputation to protect, he's also a bad example for the youth like what Haney said in this video.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: March 02, 2024, 02:01:41 PM
I've been wanting to increase the number of my long-term crypto investments for a while now and I've already got like a good amount of BTC that I can comfortably invest without pulling out and I've checked Bitvest just out of curiosity and I've seen that you can invest in their website, I think I've seen it with Bustabit and Bustadice too back then, are they still doing that or is there like a lot of new casinos that are offering this kind of thing, I can't recall how it works when you invest in them so I'm going to ask (although I feel like stupid forgetting how it works), how does it work? And are there any other trusted casinos that are offering this investment? Is it a bad investment?

Anything or any profitable platform is worth investing but you have to do due diligence especially when it comes to online casinos because although profitable the competition is very stiff in the casino industry, Bitvest has a campaign here and you know its history so it's up to you if its behavior in the gambling is worth your trust.
You have to check how they manage their reputation, their finances, and their marketing these are the three components that can make investing in casinos worth it, so far I only know Bitvest as popular and well-known I would like to leave out that are not popular in the community, you have to do your research because its not easy its not like playing in casinos with your bankroll.
They have a minimum investment and that amounts to thousands of dollars I prefer staking the casino's token like what Betfury is offering to their players it can be considered as also investing in the casino.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 02, 2024, 10:07:09 AM
I want to believe that we all agree that our betting budget should be within 5% -10% of our monthly income as responsible gamblers. However, our perspective on sports betting differs. Look at the gambling sentences and indicate which of the statements you agree or disagree with. You could also write a brief explanation for your standpoint.
There's no such thing as a perfect responsible gambler, there will be a point when you will break one or two rules that you set up, the most important thing is you don't do this often, and when goes astray you will try to be back following the rules you set up, I don't know if anyone here can perfectly follow the points that you laid out.
Quote
1. Don't bet all your money on one bet,
Unless you are 100% sure that you're going to bet it's not recommended that you bet all your money on one bet, if you do this and you lose your bet you will be tempted to deposit again and eventually bet more than what you can afford to lose, manage your bankroll effectively, you cannot enjoy the game if you bet all your money in one go

Quote
2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
I don't think you can follow this, each session or roll is different from all the other bets, this is why gambling is very attractive to risk-takers because every roll is a mystery and we don't know what to expect.

Quote
3. Don't bet more than once a day.
It's easy to follow if you're a responsible gambler gambling is not your past time and you set up a schedule that you want to be followed strictly

513  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines SEC will Ban Binance. Effectivity End of Feb. 2024 on: March 01, 2024, 03:55:38 PM

514  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 01, 2024, 03:10:05 PM
When you have one or more children, you have heavy responsibilities. Sometimes you're on a tight budget. Can being a parent change our playing habits? Are losses even harder to bear when you're in charge of a family? What are your experiences in this area?

If the parent is a responsible parent then he will stop or minimize playing, responsible parents should prioritize the needs of their family before their vice, they can only gamble if he has spare money, but if on a tight budget all the money should go to food for the tables and for paying bills.
The start of having a broken family is when the father prioritizes gambling then the needs of the family, if you have a big family and your salary or profit coming from your business is not big enough to support your gambling sessions then it's better to minimize it.

In my case we have five in our family so I minimize my spending on gambling, I gamble almost daily but my allocation is not big enough that I can still cover paying our bills and having food on the table, a man should prioritize what's important in his life and family is the one that should matter for us in this world.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: March 01, 2024, 02:35:17 PM

i sincerely came up with this topic to find out why they have such views on individuals who voluntarily went to the betting shop to gamble either to win and make a difference or to lose and remain the same way.  This idea actually started when i saw a pastor playing bet9ja after a brief evangelism and one elderly woman made a side comment ( That even man of GOD also play gamble) .

however, my question here now is : is gambling restricted to some certain kind of individuals or class?  or is there any stratification when it comes to playing gambling ?please your opinions here here will actually quench my curiosity.

Society, in general, plays a big factor in how people are judged when it comes to gambling when your government is the one running the physical casinos all over the country and they are the one regulating, managing, and promoting gambling platforms in a country then as long as the gambler is not playing beyond his means the people will not judge, restrict or they will be offended, the main religion in our country do not forbid betting in a lottery because a big part of the proceed goes to the poorest of the poor and on some circumstances it supports the Churches' charitable events.

Restriction, perception, and judgment when it comes to gambling are on a case to cases basis based on the location of the individuals, I will not judge the pastor in the story as long as he is not using the Church money and he is not betting within his means and he has good intention if ever he win the jackpot, if the latter is his intention he will even gain support from his followers.
516  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 01, 2024, 01:28:06 PM
The high rate of gamblers who take loan for gambling purposes is quite alarming, and most of them are fathers to kids. Most of them don't end up taking care of their debt before passing. What happens to the funds, when the lender comes for his money? It's quite a tough one for a person who isn't a gambler to inherit a trouble from a gambling dad. Such things also increase the anger of the society on gamblers, because the addicts are, also, good at extending their problem gambling to other close relatives. Could it be talked through in the law court?

The answer depends on the existing law in the country where the debtor is located, here in our country.

Quote
...settling of debt and other financial obligations left by the deceased is assumed by his or her successors.

So here in our country, the deceased properties should be sold or they will have to pay the debt first before the inheritors, inherit the deceased properties.
The head of the family should take care of everything in case he passes away and his children are still small and he cannot do this if he is in debt and he is taking loans to sustain his addiction to gambling.
Children expect inheritance from their parents so they can sustain the generations to come that's our tradition here in our country and this will not happen if the head of the family is a chronic gambler, so for head the family if they want to give inheritance to your children, moderate your gambling habit.

517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 01, 2024, 01:06:14 PM
This is a story where a mom thought she won 5000$ in a lottery (which was already a big amount) but later discovered that she won 50,000$. That is indeed one of the best things in her life and it just changed her life.
,
This is the kind of surprise that everyone wants to receive, imagine thinking that you only won $5000 and then later finding out that it's $50000 a ten times jump from what you expected, if I won this $5k in our country it is enough to set up a store but $50k is enough to set up grocery here in our country

Quote
Most of us spend our whole lives participating and thinking that one day, we will win the big lottery but it seems an impossible thing. However, when we see other people's winning and changing their lifestyle, the hope of winning among us keeps alive.

I'm a regular bettor of the lottery and my motivation like all the other bettors is to hit that big jackpot I only need to win once to change everything in my life, in fact I already know what to do with my winning how should I spend it and what kind of business to set up and how to protect my money from lavish spending, like the lady in the article, winners should have a detailed plan on what to do, they should not play to buy what they want but what they need and what they need to do to protect their money so it can still last until the next generation.
As along as the lottery company is transparent and their integrity intact and bettors see that there are real winners, bettors like me will continue betting.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: February 29, 2024, 02:48:50 PM
Do you have a sports that you keep betting on even though you don’t watch this sports live or you don’t know the full specifications of this game?

Yes, it's our national league basketball because of my hectic schedule online and offline, I seldom watch the live broadcast but I still bet, because of my cousin and my friend who always insist that I bet in the ending game, a game where you will predict the last two digits of the final score.

I cannot turn down my friend and my cousin, and they are honest even though I forget my bets they always relay what's the winning numbers.
And one thing more they give me lucky numbers to bet which sometimes turns out to be the numbers and I already won several times so how can I say no to these guys?

Actually I’m looking forward on comment about betting on sports that you literally don’t know the full details of the game/specification. It’s more on betting blindly like betting on dice which you didn’t know how they will get the result but this time do it on sports.

I know tennis but I’m not familiar on the rules and regulations. But I keep betting on this sports because there’s always a lot of games available daily and I keep winning just by sticking to my betting strategy unlike betting on sports that I know well like e-sports and basketball that always end up on bas result. So I keep sticking on this random bets using my spare money to have some fun from real risk.

I did answer that correctly I don't even know the players who are playing and don't even know the name of the team competing and I did not even know if they are battling in the championships or elimination I'm totally out of knowledge of the competition because I hardly watch basketball although it's our national sports and I did mention that my cousin and my friends are the one feeding the numbers to bet, so I'm betting blindly and they just tell me if I won I did not even bother to ask if I won the bet, there's a miscommunication between us but I believe I provide the right answer based on the quotes, anyway thanks for opening this interesting thread and we move on.

I am excited to see the comments. Please comment on where you think the future of gambling will be. What kinds of benefits will the gambling experience of the future bring in all walks of gambling? Will it be a good thing or a bad thing? What do you think makes the gambling experience the best in your opinion? Pick and choose any / all questions to be answered- I can't wait to see what everyone says.

Whatever the future of gambling is, it will still rely on the gambling operator continuously making profits, and gamblers taking a chance to make a profit and innovation that both parties will enjoy for the operators to entice people to try their platform, and for the gamblers to enjoying playing while at the same time trying to make a profit.
I still see the gambling industry utilizing the use of Cryptocurrency, because it's fast and anonymous and both the gambling operators and the players will agree for their best interests.
Of course, there will be huge competition in gambling platforms, and whoever can launch a massive marketing campaign will rule the industry, I still see Stake.com as the number one casino industry, they can sponsor big events, and they have massive campaigns.
The future is bright for the gambling industry and Cryptocurrency added to that success.
