521  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of war on global economy. on: September 24, 2023, 12:27:16 PM
War definitely has huge impact in economy, things that are definitely happened is the stop of production, in the region or area where the war happening there won't be any production, and the price of the product that made in this area will surging, the recent example is the increasing of wheat because of the Ukraine war. This is will definitely have a negative impact in the economy.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A matter of family conflict regarding Bitcoin. on: September 23, 2023, 10:33:27 PM
Most of the replies in here said that Bitcoin is not the one to blame, and I agree. And this could be avoided if the couples were more open to each other. I believe it's not just the husband money, it's the couple's money, and most likely that it's not a cold money, could be their saving, after all if the money is to be invested in anything both should have a discussion, so both understand the risk.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hate speech and it impacts on bitcoin on: September 23, 2023, 10:19:18 PM
I don't know where do you live, or where have you heard that some Bitcoin discussion has led to some discrimination, abusive, threatening, or even violence. To be frank, I think you are exaggerating here, sure some people don't like Bitcoin, and they spread FUD about it, saying Bitcoin is bad and everything, but they I have never in anytime of my live seeing someone threaten other person just because they have disagreement, I would be very happy if you can enlighten me with some real case with source.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Earnings on: September 23, 2023, 10:14:35 PM
I am a newbie in bitcoin I want to learn a lot about bitcoin I want to do marketing and trading with bitcoin if any of you are expert or if someone is more skilled please give me some suggestion so that I can do something good and my future is good.  can shine through bitcoin and i can stay away from casino and gambling games and without these two means i can earn money in my life and i can work hard to earn bitcoin everyone.

What do you mean 'you want to do marketing' ? if you have marketing skills then you can try to find a real job, if you are interested in Bitcoin, you could try to get a marketing role in Bitcoin Exchange or you might want to get some job in any blockchain related industry. If you don't actually have any skills, then you should learn one get a real job and spare some of your salary to buy some Bitcoin.

The thing is, Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme.
525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I learned something new from Bitcoin today on: September 23, 2023, 10:04:39 PM
I learned something new today. I started bitcoin trading with 100 $ I made 10$ from here and I lost 11$ gambling with 100$ now I don't call gambling bad because I don't understand and I don't have patience to play the game and past I easily from bitcoin made 10$ profit now which one should i choose you say i know a man need bitcoins in future but still a man can be addicted to gambling and to all of you i want to say none of you should be addicted to anything and not to gambling and you are more Trade Bitcoin and see your future shine.

First of all, this will be more suitable in a Gambling section not in Bitcoin Discussion. And I think you need to understand that gambling is an entertainment, after all it's designed for you to spend money on it, not to earn more money, what you get is a satisfaction of winning, but in general you will lose money more than you earn.

Between Bitcoin trading and Bitcoin gambling, I would suggest that you focus your activity on Bitcoin trading.  Gambling although entertaining have high risk of losing.  Besides, between the two Bitcoin trading strategy is way more effective to have a positive result than any gambling strategy.  If you are able to understand the market movement, you will be able to predict the price movement and may take advantage profiting from it.  Unlike in gambling where you can learn the mechanics of the game but cannot take advantage of the knowledge because the result of gambling is random.  It does not follow any certain pattern or any fundamentals that will give us a hint on the next result of our wager.

And OP should learn the advice in this reply, if you have a gambling addiction Bitcoin Trading would be the closer feeling you get to the satisfaction when you win some bet, and it is driven by market not controlled by the casino house. It can be learnt, not just relying on some luck.
526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do you think Satoshi Would Think About Today's Bitcoin? on: September 23, 2023, 09:58:34 PM
I have been thinking about this topic for a while, I don't think I would know what Satoshi's would think, but if I was Satoshi, I would be surprise that the idea that I created to erase the hegemony of central bank and the oligarch behind it, is now became another investment asset that is used to make the 'whale' get richer. I mean I would be happy too since the idea is working, but it would be a huge dilema.
527  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: September 23, 2023, 03:24:02 PM
On this board I often see a lot of discussions related to investment and finance which tend to be large scale. However, to start investing we need capital. How do you find capital for investment?

Let's talk about small scale businesses that have low risks and promising profits so that we can have capital to invest and become passive income in the future.

Do you have a small business idea? or business experience? I want to hear it

You need to be more details on the term small scale, selling a lemonade on the side road is a small scale business for some people, while other might view owning a small convenience store is still a small scale business. Maybe you need to specify the maximum amount of money to start the business.

I've seen hundreds here on different topics claiming how agriculture is successful, how it can save a country from recession, how is a guaranteed win, how everything and when I tell them you need to work your ass all day, all year with no holiday except winter, difference between Wednesday and Sunday for something that might end with a profit margin of under 10% (profit not operating profit) by the end of the year they all act surprised.

Well, if you live in tropical area, agriculture is definitely very profitable, and I know how to a plot of land into a rice field, I might only need to work hard for 1 month, after that is just maintaining the irrigation system and keep the pests away, it's not that hard and definitely less effort than working on a factory or mine, even with less modern tool. If you have more modern tool you can easily scale up. The problem is not about the effort and 'working our ass up', but the price for good soils is extremely expensive, would need a much money to start an agriculture business. Even with those expensive land agriculture is still profitable.
528  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: September 23, 2023, 02:09:36 AM
I think OP's fault is equating needs and desire, where in reality both are very different. People only needs few things to stay alive, while even the whole world won't be enough to fulfill one's desire. And one of those desire is investments, Bitcoin included, we never need to invest in Bitcoin or anything, but our desires to get richer and richer make us do that. Don't get me wrong I don't mean that's wrong in any way, I am just saying that desire is fine in some way and at certain level.
529  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is the language here different from what we use in the real world on: September 21, 2023, 02:56:20 PM
I think what you mean is some technical stuff related to Bitcoin and Crypto, other than that I believe everything is just a normal English in the general forum board, and in local board too, at least in Indonesian Language everything is just a normal daily word. Maybe if you don't understand some word, you can put more details of those words so people in here can help explaining those words to you.  I mean you just made all this thread complaining about the word use, but you don't actually give the real example of the words, you will not gain anything from this thread if you don't give example.
530  Economy / Economics / Re: How to reduce the price of goods on: September 21, 2023, 02:51:27 PM
I was trying to find a news related to A Monopoly by private company but I can't seem to find it. All I can find is that energy distribution is indeed in monopoly, but it was by a government's company, and I think's energy distribution monopoly by government is actually a good thing. If OP want's a good discussion that leads to a concrete solution, I think he/she should give more specific and details regarding the monopoly
531  Economy / Economics / Re: X (formerly Twitter) may be telling people like me to exit the platform on: September 21, 2023, 02:44:26 PM
I just know about this news and I am actually a twitter user, not an active one tho, but I still open it sometimes, and I think it's really ridiculous, they are the one who has problem with bot, they the user is the one paying the price. Tho I am not too surprised because earlier Elon also limit how many tweet a user can view, and Twitter Blue (Premium User) can view much more 10 times content compared to the free user. And if the rules is really applied, and user should pay significant amount, I think more user will move to Thread (a copycat of twitter made by Meta)
532  Economy / Economics / Re: Early Retirement [Pros and Cons] on: September 21, 2023, 02:37:06 PM
I personally don't want to retire early, I really like my current job at least for now. I don't blame people who want to retire early if they hate their job, and forced to do that because that's the best they can do. Moreover, generally speaking with the current birthrate on the last decade, we already have less people in productive age, and it's already decreased the production thus give bad effect to economy, getting early retirement will only make it worse.
533  Economy / Economics / Re: Free Investment tips on: September 21, 2023, 02:30:36 PM
You need to make a pool of reliable sources from where you can get the news or learn about invesing. It appears that in the crypto space most of the information is just a low-quality rewrite of another website but with a clickbait headline. Your brain gets stressed after you read such informational garbage for a long time and you can't think as clearly as you should. So if you follow the market on a daily basis you need to pick only the information that you need.

yep, too many clickbait on the internet, and it's not actually exclusive to cryptocurrency, on the news about conventional investment like stock also full clickbait. Not to mention that some people put their believe on influencer too much, on twitter and on youtube, most people now consuming news from social media, even some of them trust anonymous account more than a professional news media that has good reputation.
534  Economy / Economics / Re: Our future with renewable energy. on: September 21, 2023, 02:23:43 PM
I believe, at least in some places / countries can 100% depends on renewable energy. One of the biggest challenge is that renewable energy is very difficult to be distributed, compared to oil and coal which is very easy to be distributed. Sun can not be distributed, some places doesn't get enough sun at a certain time each year. Some places don't have enough geo thermal and water stream to depend on hydropower and both is very expensive on to be distributed.
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not banned, yet not accepted on: September 19, 2023, 02:07:53 PM
In the case of my country and probably a lot of other countries too, Bitcoin is legally allowed to perceived as an investment, meaning people can own it and speculate on it. But, it's illegal to use Bitcoin as a currency, bitcoin shouldn't be used as legal tender. The government did this because they need to keep the value and stability of the country's currency, if Bitcoin is allowed to be used as a currency and people choose to do transaction using Bitcoin over the local currency, it will be bad for the government economy, their currency will lose it's value.
536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin really risky as they say? on: September 19, 2023, 02:02:30 PM
~

I think investing in Bitcoin is not as risky as you think. Profits and losses are an integral part of any investment. Of course, people will lose in Bitcoin too, but I don't think it would be fair to blame Bitcoin for that loss. .Anyone who invests without knowledge, without experience and without understanding the ups and downs of the crypto currency market will definitely be at a high risk of loss.

Well, compared to other assets such as real estate property or bond, Bitcoin is definitely a lot riskier, but the reason is mainly because the volatility is still high, and it's not something thath is totally bad, because it means that Bitcoin is not simply high risk, but also high return. Other reason why Bitcoin is considered to has higher risk is might be that because Bitcoin is fairly new compared to other investment, investor still trying to figure out the nature of the market
537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another reason and proof to keep funds in your wallet not in an exchange on: September 19, 2023, 01:56:24 PM
Yeah, never let our coin stay in the exchange wallet for too long, only when we want to exchange it to another coin or to fiat. Only use non-custodial wallet to store our fund in a long run. But all that being said, in this particular case, at least CoinEx said that they will compensate the hacked fund entirely, let's just hope they will actually do that, https://cointelegraph.com/news/coinex-compromised-private-keys-behind-70-million-hack
538  Economy / Economics / Re: Use of clean energy in bitcoin mining and its impact on: September 19, 2023, 01:49:53 PM
Is this one of the reason why we see some small price increase in bitcoin lately?

Well, if we want to be honest, we need to accept that the negative sentiment regarding bitcoin demanding energy and carbon footprint, has been of the reason why people campaigning against Bitcoin, and it could be affecting the price. Not to mention that many countries especially in Europe has put more of their focus on climate issue, so Bitcoin moving to more sustainable energy should make people have a better perception of bitcoin.
539  Economy / Economics / Re: Thailand to start taxing overseas income next year, including from crypto on: September 19, 2023, 01:44:21 PM
I wish Indonesia will follow Thailand in creating this kind of rules, I am from Indonesia by the way. There has been to many foreigners exploiting tax rules, they use Indonesian facility, but they don't pay taxes. Not to mention that they come with more powerful currency and gentrified the location that they live in, pushing the local away. Don't get me wrong I am not against foreigner coming to cheaper country, but at least they should contribute.
