521  Local / Minerit / Re: [CryptoNight] Ghid pt minat cu CPU si monede pe care le putem mina usor on: May 14, 2018, 11:59:50 AM
Am adaugat IRIDIUM in prima postare din aceast thread.

Cu o rata de hashing de 150 h/s veti primi aproximativ 2 tokeni/zi.

Folosesc pool-ul: https://cryptoknight.cc/iridium/ pt a mina aceasta noua moneda.

Spor la minat Smiley
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CryptoNight] CPU mining guide & coins that will get you a return on: May 14, 2018, 11:57:20 AM
Added IRIDIUM to the main post Smiley

You can get about 2 tokens/day with a hash rate of about 150 h/s.

I am using this pool to mine it: https://cryptoknight.cc/iridium/
523  Other / Meta / Re: I can't keep track of the discussions I'm interested on: May 13, 2018, 04:49:42 PM
You can configure your own watchlist in order to keep the track in those posts, boards, etc in which you are interested, and to clean-up your feed. This tool is in your profile user, and, to be honest, is useful, for, as you said, there is too much noise in the "unread post since your last visit" tool.
I used to un-watch threads I'm not interested in anymore but that feature isn't working as it should because I can still see them in the "Show new replies to your posts" section.

Utterly annoying I might add.  Sad
524  Other / Meta / Re: 28 posts to make an Ann thread? on: May 13, 2018, 04:30:54 PM
If you would like to create an announcement posts I would suggest contacting a more senior member to help you with that.

Nobody will take you seriously or will consider your announcement thread a scam.

Just my 2 cents Smiley
525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips for newbies, who want to avoid over-quoting on: May 13, 2018, 04:27:14 PM
I agree it is increasingly annoying to see posts that have endless quote hierarchies. I think some people are increasing lazy or simply ignorant when posting. It's a good thing we have the merit system in place right?  Grin

...
And IMHO, this should be moved to Beginner and Helps, isn't it?
Yes, you are spot on! Smiley Beginners and Help is the right location for this post.
526  Other / Meta / Re: Are users loosing interest?? Merit is Good or Bad?? on: May 13, 2018, 04:20:16 PM
Alexa works statistically in the sense that it bases its ranking on people who have the Alexa toolbar installed. So, you will be ranked higher if more people on this forum would have it installed. More info here: https://yaro.blog/549/how-does-alexarank-work/

A few good years back I was on a domain name/web development forum and a lot of people had that toolbar installed since they used it for their work. So, if you would have compared the two forums, BCT would definitely rank lower since a lot of people don't use anything like that here although BCT has a lot more traffic than the other.

Going back to your question, merit is definitely a good improvement to the forums trying to stop shit posters rank up. You can't imagine how many people post shit everyday.

527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there an advantage to using a static difficulty? on: May 13, 2018, 08:32:08 AM
Your income/money gains should not change at all. It is in your head hehe
Yeah, it's true, you won't get any extra tokens it's going to be the same. Smiley

I tried to do this because I was getting fluctuating gains and hoped to stabilize them but unfortunately it's not going to solve anything but helping you reduce the internet bandwidth you're using.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoins to moon 10-20x in 2018 on: May 13, 2018, 08:08:41 AM
Nobody can predict something like that, you need to lower your expectations. Most of the time, you will see small gains and high losses short term and would recommend focusing of the long term.

I have a few favourites that I think will be successful this year: IOST, XVG, IOTA.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whether the new coin can survive? on: May 13, 2018, 08:03:33 AM
now a lot of new coins that appear, the price of its kind, there are cheap, and there are expensive, my question, whether this new coin will last long?
Nobody can tell you if a new coin will last long or not. Of course this is mainly about the team that surrounds it but sometimes that's not enough.
You can be in a long bear trend and everybody is avoiding to invest in it to protect their current holdings.

Usually only time will tell if a project is on a good path.
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MYTHS OF ICOS on: May 13, 2018, 07:59:05 AM
There are a lot of good points in that article but you still need to be careful when investing in ICOs because it's enough for the ICO you want to invest in to be a scam.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ponzi Trust Token comes to exchanges. What will be the rate? on: May 13, 2018, 07:52:55 AM
Anything with the name Ponzi screams scam to me. Is it just me?

I would suggest staying away from it and looking for some ICOs with better potential.
532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Space for so many coins ? on: May 13, 2018, 07:47:30 AM
I think the market is still in it's infancy and a lot of people have not heard of crypto currencies yet not to mention investing in them. So, definitely there is a lot of space left.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CryptoNight] CPU mining guide & coins that will get you a return on: May 12, 2018, 08:50:29 PM
...
Thanks for the detailed input will take a closer look tomorrow Smiley

....
It's interesting but would like to wait a bit to see if it catches on before adding it to the thread.

The payment for mining is shown as the unit of tokens. However, it should be better to use BTC or ETH per day. That will make the profit clear.
I don't think you understood what I'm trying to do here.

It's not about profitability as of right now, it's about profitability sometime in the future when the coin increases in value.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥[ANN][BOUNTY]~$6.2 Million -Official GigTricks -25 Million Tokens🔥🔥🔥 on: May 12, 2018, 08:41:33 PM
I have tried adding your avatar but it was 121x80 px. BCT allows avatars up to 120x80 px.

I have resized it to 120x79px and added it, please update it on the OP:

P.S. If I have joined today and will complete 10 posts by tomorrow midnight, will I receive the stakes for this week?
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Verge hold for long term Good or Not? on: May 10, 2018, 09:24:51 AM
I still see it largely undervalued and comparing it to other coins, it has a lot of potential since it has a lot of partners (especially from the adult entertainment industry) that are promoting and using it for payments.
Also, it's listed on some major exchanges so, that can only be good news Smiley

Keep on HODLING Wink
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BYTECOIN on: May 10, 2018, 09:20:19 AM
Binance listing the coin can only be good news Smiley

We need to wait for all of the issues to be sorted out and I would still hold onto this coin right now because the price is still very very low if you ask me.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When are New GPUs Being release? Any info on approx. date? on: May 10, 2018, 09:17:07 AM
I have been reading about a possible 11 Series coming out for Nvidia and some new AMD cards too but I am not too sure how reliable this is.

Anyone has more information on the matter?

 I have a lot of 1060s, 70s and 80sTI

Wondering if I should start selling the 60s and 70s to prepare for the switch .

Thanks guys!

New GPUs are always exciting to have right after they are released but you'll be paying a premium for them. You'll get the best price by buying the second to last version of the GPU you're after.

Taking into account the current ROI for the top GPUs on the market right now, only the GPU manufacturers will end up making money, not the miners.  Undecided
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to know which currency is the most profitable to be mined? on: May 10, 2018, 09:10:49 AM
You can use some of the websites the guys posted here to determine which coin is more profitable right now but you can also go about mining something that has a lot of potential and is very easy to mine now and keep it.

If you were right in selecting the coin, you'll see the price increase and get more out of it in the end.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODLing will get you nowhere on: May 10, 2018, 09:05:40 AM
Of course the market is regulated by market demand but don't you agree selling is bad on a bear trend? Anyone with minimal knowledge in trading will tell you that.

You always need to buy coins when it's a bear trend and know when to sell during a bull trend.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: VCU1525 (FPGA MINER BOARD) - $3,000 to $4,000 on: May 09, 2018, 09:35:00 PM
This new FPGA trend sounds interesting and earnings do sound good to everybody but don't you think making so many devices available could cripple coins?
Every coin developer is striving to be ASIC resistant but when using FPGAs they won't be able to counteract them since you can change the algo as fast as they fork.

I mean difficulty would increase but you still would have a lot of coins flooding the market and driving them on a bear trend to very low values thus ruining your ROI too.
