521  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: When will Butterfly Labs (BFL) run out of money? on: May 11, 2013, 08:54:33 AM
I'd say, given the recent media frenzy that they started, and the "all sales are final" agreements the pre order customers had to accept, they run out of money even before October.
522  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: did i make a mistake with BFL's on: May 10, 2013, 01:43:52 PM
I corrected that for you:

too low number of actual reviews, untill all customers who made orders last year are shipped, i'll consider it a scam

if they are shipping units its not a scam. They've shipped before, they will ship again. They have already started stopped to ship.

They started shipping a few units to family, friends and the media to create some frenzy, then made all customers sign a "all sales are final" agreement, then stopped shipping. Very shady business tactics ...
523  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL 6 May 2013 ASIC Update on: May 10, 2013, 12:22:49 PM
... but trolling on about in the forums won't make my ASIC get here any faster.

For you it's already too late.

But maybe we can save some innocent souls from pressing the "pre order now" button.

8 posts, joined only a month ago, praised BFL to the skies.

Come on BFL! Can you not tell your shills to be a little less obvious?
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TESTING] BitBar PushPool btb.binarycoins.eu [solved] on: May 09, 2013, 12:13:40 PM
Is this pool legit? There is no "unconfirmed transactions" - so users have no idea of their pending earnings.

Does this pool pay out properly?

527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC Mining difficulty? on: May 08, 2013, 06:27:16 PM
Does anyone have any ideas if LTC diff will spike as BTC?  Are there any graphs i can see the assumed difficulty? for like next 3-6months?

Sounds like a job for organofcorti and his crystal ball Wink

For short time estimates: http://allchains.info/

By the way: It's all about the price (of LTC) in a couple of month. If it's at $35 mining with difficulty 10.000 would still be profitable.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][CNC][1% Fee] CNC Simple Pool [LP/Stratum] on: May 08, 2013, 01:56:35 PM
I mined for 15 hours with 4000kH/s on your pool and only got 50 CNC. Should be more like 100 CNC.

I haven't even been credited for blocks that I found myself and that are confirmed, like this one here:

Code:
55,611	Confirmed!	Frizz23	2013-05-07 05:59:21 AM	24,232

The "Payout / Transaction Log" shows nothing between 2013-05-07 18:58:48 and 2013-05-08 06:25:03. I mean at least the above block (55,611) should be there, right?

...

Please advise.
529  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Visit to BFL on: May 08, 2013, 11:37:56 AM
Thanks to this "visitor" I will receive my Single a couple of minutes later.
He should have made an appointment, what do you expect when you just show up at a company and think they will give you all the time they need to work on the products.

Yes they are quite busy. Driving around with fork lifters and moving empty boxes with fans. Scrapping old Jalapeno, Single SC and Mini Rig casings. Looking busy on company videos: Butterfly Labs Company Video

I seriously feel like my pre-order money is in good hands. Not.
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [CNC] What if block generation halts? on: May 08, 2013, 11:29:56 AM
Feathercoin 2.5 minute block ...

Almost 13 minutes now (at current network hashrate) and increasing.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [CNC] What if block generation halts? on: May 08, 2013, 09:55:09 AM
Feathercoin 2.5 minute block - difficulty change every 2016 block

Still it takes 15 more days for FTC to adjust to the next difficulty (188 -> 40).
532  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL 6 May 2013 ASIC Update on: May 08, 2013, 09:03:59 AM
I think this Project is and was for BFL too much ...

Orderded tons of "minirigs" boxes without any protoyp
ordered much boards without Chips ...
ordered Chips without knowing how it works and lost 5000 Chips ( 5 Wafer )

That's what I keep telling people since months ...

BFL = bunch of overcocky cowboys.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [CNC] What if block generation halts? on: May 08, 2013, 08:55:59 AM
Current difficulty is 41.8. With network hashrate dropping (750.87 MH/s at the moment) it will take longer and longer for the next difficulty adjustment (estimated next difficulty at the moment 10.5).

In case block generation stalls, is it possible that the CNC developers modify the client to manually to keep the chain going?

The TRC guys had to tweak difficulty adjustments too (and it's still broken imho).

534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTB 1BTC=1000BBQ on: May 08, 2013, 07:33:37 AM
i sell bbq not buy

Maybe then you should chance the subject to "WTS 1000bbq=1btc"
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [TRC] Still not fixed? on: May 07, 2013, 08:08:21 PM
When I look at the difficulty for the last 60 minutes it's between 12589 and 157970.

I thought they had fixed the wild difficulty swings, no?

536  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL 6 May 2013 ASIC Update on: May 07, 2013, 07:10:05 PM
Why are you guys always focusing on the negative stuff... just look at that thing; it looks like a small reactor, like it's going to melt through the table! It's just awesome! Smiley

How to spot BFL customers:

538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: www.litecoinpool.org Is down for me? on: May 07, 2013, 09:47:57 AM
a lot of pools seem to be down. i guess there is an major ddos going on...

DDosers have a cron job that calls coinchoose.com every minute and than automatically ddos the most profitable coin  Wink

Previously it was a pain in the arse to mine CHNCoin. Not it's running really smooth ...
539  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I want to take BFL auto hosting option on: May 07, 2013, 09:44:25 AM
https://forums.butterflylabs.com/showwiki.php?title=FAQ:MiniRig+SC+and+Single+SC+Hosting

The problem is, what about if US government raid the facility and seize all the ASIC?

Is there an option of hosting it outside US jurisdiction?

You do realize that decentralization is one of the fundamental principles of Bitcoin?

What you seek is a cash cow where you put $5 in and it shits $6 out of it's arse.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CureCoin to be released soon. on: May 07, 2013, 09:04:44 AM
Nvidia owners will be able to focus on research, and get fairly rewarded. No more running stacks of gtx ti cards to only get ~200 mhash.

I guess NVIDIA wants a piece of the mining cake. AMDs stock did pretty good in the last couple of weeks. I'm sure some eggheads ad NVIDIA noticed that.

So possible NVIDIA has brought this coin to life.
