542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: don't use X11,many peopel use fgpa mining X11 coin on: April 28, 2014, 09:22:26 AM
Lol, anyone who believes this is close to brain dead. Cost involved Into designing is too significant to even THINK about building an fpga/asic for an algo at such infancy.

Also, I find it funny how in recent months, starting any post with "I am china" seems to invoke confidence when trying to spread FUD about a subject.
You are NOT entitled to determine what are people that believe or not believe in the OP!

Instead of an uninformed reply, how about using use Chrome (with translation) to browse Chinese forums?
543  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Science Does Not Disprove God on: April 28, 2014, 09:10:27 AM
Of course science doesn't disprove God. But scientists aren't the ones with the burden of proof in the first place.

There is no burden of proof. If there was, it wouldn't be considered "faith" Smiley
I know there isn't. But if religious people want to meddle into science, they should start working on an effort of backing up their faith with facts, like everyone else that comes forward with theories.

544  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sites that are censoring and boycotting mozilla. on: April 28, 2014, 09:03:57 AM
I have Waterfox, TorBrowser and Chromium so personally don't care much.

However, I tend to stay away from sites that try to tell me how I should think, in the first place.

546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Nxt is the future? on: April 27, 2014, 03:53:43 PM
nxt innovation (and I use the term loosely) for innovations sake, feature people don't need or want, if you can't sell it too the crypto community you can't sell it to the public.

people seem to think if someone doesn't copy paste and writes their own code that it makes for innovations.  Roll Eyes

I can prove you wrong just directing you to the "technical disscusion" section of NXT forum https://nxtforum.org/

wtf's a link to ur crappy cult site going to prove?
lol noob I base my comments on being in nxt early on, testing it, even trying to explain to the original dev the security hole I could drive a truck throw.

One can't wake a person who is pretending to be asleep.
Dare to say what's the hole or you are just trolling.
people found security issues were rewarded nicely.

there's nothing nxt could offer me, i'd already communicated with the original dev about it.

hell i'd even pay to get rid of all the worthless trash coins around here including nxt Wink
You're still at the stage of wasting your time. Nothing of this invalidates the "technical" aspects of the coin per se, but when I grabbed some €'s out of an account and "invested" on alts, I surely would have considered buying Nxt if it weren't for the cultists, as you call them. Even without them, who in their right mind (which I really wasn't at the time, to be frank), care about a coin with microscopic PoS, let alone the dumpers ready to pour above your head? Ultimately, I'm glad the shills forced me to pay attention, and made me stay way from Nxt.

I also had the temptation of posting on fake interesting hype Nxt threads, which now I'm very restricted on. Sometimes one just have to let it go and don't interrupt the shill's circlejerk. Honestly, the more I post, the more I bump and feed this garbage.
547  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The crazy regulations that keep American beer bad on: April 27, 2014, 01:05:18 PM
I don't have a clue if American beer is good currently, but this thread isn't really about beer.

"Regulations" are the last thing that prevents people from being fracked. Rather have a beer that tastes like shit but hasn't it, than a toxic one that tastes good.

Those "crazy regulations" are (or should be) precisely of the same caliber of what you call "Rule of Law" when you see a criminal being brought to justice. They are a kind of "private sector" rhetoric which is still today (and surely was under Bush) even more dangerous than Obama's statism this thread is about. That if your federal government is corrupt and bloated and meddles too much, it is a different discussion. Private sector abuses and federal level abuses are not exclusive, both are wrong.
548  Other / Off-topic / Re: OnePlus One "Cheap" High End Smartphone on: April 26, 2014, 08:17:53 PM
High end smartphones are always available at Aliexpress, DinoDirect, Taobao and so on ... This one or fairly equivalent will be available too. Buying directly from Chinese brands and websites is amazing, but sometimes hard. I was unable to buy a software radio at $45 from Chinese person directly and had to pay $75 on ebay. Other devices, the same. Always issues with payment methods

More on topic, thanks for this thread and suggestion.

550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine scrypt Crypto Currency with Amazon EC2 on: April 25, 2014, 05:52:26 PM
How much does it cost to get the 3 mh?
It is very expensive and "never" profitable. GPUs on Amazon are $3000+ Nvidia Tesla devices, and rented for high-end computations

For CPU coins, otoh, the old AMD machines with Linux AMI can be nice, when requesting spot instances. Those cc2x8large with 32 cores costed $0.25 / hour and gave 700+ Kh/s on Heavycoin, which was very respectable before GPU mining came along.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Sempron 145 SUCKS for mining! on: April 25, 2014, 09:50:41 AM
right as i said the cpu is dual core but 1 of them comes as locked some popular mobos can unlock them
its the best cpu for mining
It's the cheapest. It is NOT better.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MaidSafe Scam!!! on: April 24, 2014, 05:10:57 PM
So, instead of technological improvement for it's own sake and of the future of cryptos, the innovation is on more elaborate scams?

Or, am I wrong here? I haven't been paying too much attention lately, tbh...
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of DEAD/DYING Cryptocoins needed - please help compile on: April 24, 2014, 05:02:05 PM
Add Flappycoins to your list.

Once I used Flappycoins to withdraw some mBTC and workaround a parasitic withdraw fee. Ultimately was an handful of satoshis but that day I was particularly pissed, so I considered it was worth my time to give the finger to this bullshit.

They are for sale at 1 satoshi for more than a month, so guess their value is zero. At least it serves me as a warning to stay away from crap.  Tongue
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Profitability recently on: April 24, 2014, 07:26:04 AM
It's also ciclic in a way

When profitability becomes low, casual miners stop using the videocards for mining, some others power off or even put for sale. The trend is created along some days or weeks, and eventually difficulty adjustment gives you more coins per hash. Profitability increases to where it's becoming worthwhile, then people flock again to mining, etc...
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU takes hashes away from GPU on: April 24, 2014, 07:19:50 AM
You must leave one of the CPU threads free for controlling GPU mining.

Use -t 5 on the CPU miner command line, or better yet, use the commandline
start /idle minerd -t 5 ...
That also lowers priority of intensive threads

Scrypt mining with the CPU is pointless, though.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: !?Can't run more than 1 G-Blade Scryt Miner, Windows PC!? REWARD FOR FIX!!! on: April 24, 2014, 07:12:54 AM
If everything else fails, try this workaround:

Use VirtualBox and the corresponding extension pack.

Create a new virtual machine and install Windows 7 or Linux 32 bit alongside the guest additions, shutdown after it ends
Connect a mining device
Redirect the mining device to the virtual machine, using the settings panel
Power on the virtual machine, install the mining software inside and try start mining

If it works, repeat or clone the installation for the other device

557  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Open Source Plans for Modern Tesla Free Energy Generator Released to Public on: April 22, 2014, 07:17:36 AM
In addition, the notion that utilising the zero point as an energy source is "free" energy is misleading.

It is not misleading because it is very economical to use this energy source as you don't have running costs for fuel anymore, only for the devices, which are relatively simple. Also they can be used anywhere and there no negative side effects such as pollution. The estimated cost is 0.1 cent per kWh, which is about 1% of the usual price and thus practically free.
Let us say for the sake of argument that you are right, the  big oil/gas and car companies have suppressed all the little inventors that made these machines, which were NOT based on Tesla designs.

Well, we have 3d printers now.  So we (I) don't need anyone telling me about zero point and quantum foam and active invention suppression.  I can download designs and make things.  Yes with some materials limitations.

Okay, how about it?  Let's have those designs.  Public domain those bad boys.  We ready.
Unfortunately the OP article and site (which I didn't bother to read much into), is peppered with pseudo-scientific and spiritual bullshit. I should haven't even bothered to post that link in the middle of such a dumb thread. But since you requested designs, here are the links, the bad boys on public domain. Now, more direct, so that there's no way to deflect or distract with political or sociological nonsense.

Am I claiming they work? No, I am not. But I also don't buy the meme "oh it is impossible to suppress the little inventors". Even if 99% are failed designs and only a few work, you underestimate the motivation to suppress them, e.g. to protect profits or the petrodollar status-quo. A mix of ridicule (as this thread illustrates) and some "action" upon the inventors, would work well.

Further, Poloniex does use ReCaptcha.

Oh indeed, sorry about that. There's two versions of ReCaptcha, the one with numbers that Poloniex use, and the one with letters Cryptsy uses for withdrawals which is painful to look at, IMO. That's the one I was thinking about.
It is frustrating! Yes, I recognize that Poloniex is a very good quality exchange, but it ends up being the one I use at last resort.
