I get the point that alts dillute BTC's stand against centralized currencies and payment processors. I also get the point that Doge enthusiasts are often uneducated (teenagers) going wild on the Internet.
However I rather see these teens use their videocards to mine Doge while they look at cute puppies, than to spend their time playing ultraviolent and gory videogames. Or to post their most intimate details on Facebook. And so do their parents.
There also have been "charitable" activities around Doge..
Perhaps it's bad for the crypto-currency scene, but it's good for "people".

I found the secret to 100% yays on keccak with cudaminer 2014-02-09 ---> H 2,2,2. I am mining riecoin on all 8 threads of of my CPU, and maxcoin on all three GPUs at the same time (and same rpcport I might add). My fastest config is H 2,1,1, but that gets me 3% boos without CPU mining, and 8% boos with CPU mining. I wonder if the additional boos are because I'm on the same port? Doesn't matter, I still eliminated all boos with H 2,2,2 with or without CPU mining.
That is unrelated with cudaminer per se. You should always leave at least one CPU thread free for GPU miner software, even more with cudaminer that allows for offloading to CPU. So mine riecoin with 7 threads. Running "cudaminer" in high priority also mitigates the problem. |

330 kh/s on this conf I think that it is not a problem of cgminer configuration, because I tried a lot of this and always hash rate is similar. Problem is propably somewhere else, but the question is where?  The problem is actually known: VRAM latency. Not at the moment, but it is feasible to add it. Are there any XPT miners for max? Yes, arOpenCLMax. I'm actually trying it since cgminer crashes on a Frankenstein rig I have.  Allright, will be adding it in couple days. Though, did you try running cgminer just on AMD and cudaminer on Nvidias if you have a mix? Yes I did. Cudaminer picks the GTX760 well, cgminer (or even sgminer) crash perhaps due to lack of system ram: just 1 GB. I need to find more DDR2. if it's too much trouble, don't bother or provide your own MAX address so I can point some hash there Edit: nevermind, it's working now |

Portugal with an hangover of having and losing an "empire", and now being a small vassal of vassals, doesn't take decisive and unilateral action on international matters for decades. Since there's no agreement, Bitcoin is for now free and unregulated.
I will declare and pay taxes on BTC after converted to Euros, until then I'm free to do whatever I want. otoh, acceptance of BTC on businesses is very low (I'm even including usage of Bitpay), despite the Lamassu BTC kiosk being made here.
