1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Combining AMD & Nvidia in one machine on: February 02, 2014, 06:30:09 AM
Don't buy XFX, get a Gigabyte R9-270 OC or some Sapphire which gives even higher hashrate. Search around for best brands, memory types, temperatures, noise, etc...

To the poster above, did you have to plug them and install by a particular order, or you plugged both, installed drivers and they did "just work"?
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU for $100 USD for mining Dogecoin? on: February 02, 2014, 06:21:03 AM
They are somewhat above $100, but consider an ATI/AMD 7850 or R9-270 videocard. They allow 350 to 470 Kh/s compared to your 20.

Perhaps you could get an used card, like a 5850, 5870 or 6950. You may find them for $100 or less, and they also allow 400 to 500 Kh/s

Somehow I think that the 25% who picked 150+ are wishful thinkers. I highly doubt that many have that high.
It's possible. Bitcoin and crypto are demanding topics. People that flock here and stick around are far from imbeciles.

Looking at number of successful scams I tend to disagree with u...
Well, folks are naive or need to take risks...

1225  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What country is the most "libertarian" would you say? on: February 01, 2014, 07:46:09 PM
I vote for Romania.

Everyone here can f** anyone , run over anyone , steal as much as he can  , and nothing happens.

lol... that's why they are exporting their citizens to Italy and Spain... and soon to England as well.

Nope , we are exporting citizens , and somehow , getting rid of gypsies.

And now , the whole EU who accused us of not integrating them , can start cleaning their doors while those "people" piss on them  , can start putting bullet proof windows and armed doors to stop them from stealing everything in your house and gluing their pockets for obvious reasons.

Also , pay them social welfare , and don't forget they start having children at 12-14 and usually 10+ kids.

And good luck teaching them what work is =))))

Is funny - you keep going on about gypsies who won't work.  We have been waiting for them in the UK since January 1 and instead you keep sending over gypsies who immediately get jobs and start working. At this point a political party called UKIP faces annihilation unless your gypsies appear soon and demand welfare of some kind instead of working.

so, your gypsies come here and insist on working.  Could it be that your country's treatment of gypsies is the problem?

You've been waiting for them since January the 1st? =)))))))
Can I lol at this? Seriously!

The gypsys were already there , after the January 1st only Romanians seeking for a job will come there.

Just like when I was a kid and Romania wasn't in the EU and I had to wait one month for a visa for a 3 days trip to Vienna with my school while a pack of gypsy were having a swan barbecue in the middle of city and of course they had no papers whatsoever..

Is our treatment wrong? Lols , then why the hell are you sending them hundred and hundred  per week back?
What's with all the camping in your parks and the break-ins in your homes?
It's easier to get a mobile phone or a laptop "from" the UK or Spain here than one made in China =))) , if you get what i'm saying.

You guys don't have a clue what's coming your way.
There are only a few at the moment , they we're only 2 millions in Romania 6 years ago and  they are dispersed in too many country's they fled to , but wait a few years. They usually start making kids at 15-16 and about 5-10 per family.

One of the most beautiful city center , in Timisoara , was tuned into a garbage dump by a gypsy community in less than two years. I can barely wait to see how you will integrate this community.

Because , they don't want to be integrated!!!!

And don't get me wrong ., I'm not racist at least I try to be.
Jews , blacks  or afro-americans lol , ,Hispanic spanish , japanese or congolese I don't care , but those guys , those are in a league of their own.

Be honest - you are racist.  It hurts to have a nasty label put on you but your words speak clearly as to your racism.

The Romanian gypsies that have arrived so far are all welcome.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2532062/British-companies-advertise-5-000-jobs-Romania-doors-open-EU-migrant-workers.html

Keep sending these fine working people over.  Your country's loss is our gain.

Wow!

1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 01, 2014, 06:48:00 PM
Sorry for the offtopic, I understand that this about the miner, but this ends up being the "go to" thread for who is interested in mining with Nvidia. There's a thread elsewhere that proves ATI cards are affected by vram latency and someone offers to optimize their bios. I wonder what kind of performance would one get if Nvidia cards had such firmware optimization. Is there any software that allows one to experiment with memory tweaking or allows bios modding currently? I remember about Nibitor from the 8800gt days...
I'd like to see an answer to this, please. Or where can I discuss Nvidia mining when it doesn't relate directly to cudaMiner?

1228  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times do you shower or bath yourself per week? on: February 01, 2014, 02:42:23 PM
Once a day, except in the coldest winter.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why is it one slot always has lower WU than the other? on: February 01, 2014, 11:02:01 AM
Well, there's Cgremote, also miner.php inside the cgminer folder. You can set up a webserver running it

Hrm thank you will have to look into those.

I have shut down keeping VNC open and noticed the hash reported to pool is much greater now. It seems to have gone from little over 5MH to darn close to 6MH. Thats around 100khash per machine for me and that adds up per day on the right coins Smiley
Glad it worked Smiley

You could try UltraVNC server with or without "mirror video driver" installed. That's what I actually use when at home. The hash rate plummets on the precise moment I log in, but then it comes back.  I need Teamviewer for restricted firewalls but didn't notice any issues either.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The noise is getting in my head 280x on: February 01, 2014, 10:56:39 AM
Well, undervolt the cards then. The reduced heat will allow you to run the fans at lower speed. You should undervolt anyway, because you risk killing their hot or stressed VRMs/power block.

1231  Other / Politics & Society / Re: PRESIDENTIAL petition to deport Justin Bieber!!! on: February 01, 2014, 10:37:42 AM
Frankly, considering he sings for a 12 - 16 yo girls fanbase, why do people even care? Does he promote sex and drugs on the lyrics or something?

I'm serious. Was anything done to rappers that promoted hatred, violence, etc...?
Do you not own a T.V. or not do something that would stimulate your brain.... like say... reading the news...?
I do not give half a shit about "news" in your country, and I read about more interesting stuff than the life and deportation of a pop singer, whose music is not relevant for me. Now, are you interested in answering my question?
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BBT Episode 7: 6 GPU Mining Rig with ASRock H81 PRO BTC on: February 01, 2014, 10:16:53 AM
This video is excellent, except his rant regarding the MB being Intel based and fanboys and all that.

The core issue is coin mining, not marketing, fanboyism or other drama. What matters is performance/cost and if the hardware works. One uses components that suck less and get less in the way of mining. Intel based allows one to use a Intel CPU with integrated video which stays completely out of the way of mining and the videocard that is plugged on the PCI-e 16x slot.

That's not what I asked.

Perhaps it is the fact you're using such software that interferes with the Windows display subsystem in the first place. In other words, the WU is lower on the card that drives the display, while and because you're using it.

Do you always use VNC or plug a monitor to look at the rigs, or you collect data with a script from the miner API?
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 280X Dropped from 710kh/s to 80kh/s on: January 31, 2014, 11:35:57 PM
For that are interested.

The 500mhz cap [80kh/s] was removed when I plug a monitor into the cards.

I only have to plug it in for a second or so before moving the DVI cable into the next card. This removed the 500mhz cap and it was back to full speed again.

Once I have plugged into each of the 6 cards. I got back to 4.26mh/s Smiley

I'm off to buy some resisters to build some homemade dummy plugs.

Perhaps you don't need them. Google "Disable ULPS"
1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: noob question about .bin and .cl on: January 31, 2014, 09:43:50 PM
I was following a guide that says i need to use an optimized .bin file rather than optimized .cl file. How would i do that? How would i make my miner run using a .bin file and not .cl file?
You copy that .bin to the miner folder or to where you launch it from, and then must use the exact settings on the config file that match that .bin. For example: scrypt130511Tahitiglg2tc24000w256l4.bin
