If something was lost in the first hours of mining, I couldn't care less, that's past and is part of the experiment. I rather have your stable pool than lots of stop/start cycles on the PSUs and videocards.  Smiley
Nothing is "lost", either there's something wrong with the pool or pool owner is stealing coins. You dont want to figure out things like this?
Neither. He probably set the TxFee (the fee paid to the coin network) too high by mistake, which hopefully was corrected.

That said, feel free to investigate and move on with the discussion. When I say "I couldn't care less", is if it's a genuine mistake, I'm not worried

I'm mining at this pool and everything seems fine so far...

Hope it stays stable, that's very important with my buggy miner that crashes, by getting garbage from one other pool I have in load balance.

Thanks, please check that your payouts are correct, and you're not missing coins, especially look for TX Fees.

1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help for choosing right GPU on: February 09, 2014, 12:17:37 AM
As first card, go for a fast, well built and well supported 280x (by the coin mining community) like the ASUS DirectCU II 280x.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt Asic finally here! Scrypt ASIC / SHA-256 combo miners Pics details on: February 08, 2014, 09:55:47 PM
If scrypt ASICs are available, then it is not the end for GPUs. It is the end of profit mining of scrypt coins. I hope people get scared of those ASICS and I can buy GPUs for cheap, though.

Do those mine Protoshares, MemoryCoin, Quark based coins, Vertcoin or Maxcoin?  Tongue

It's even ironic that the most money I ever made coin mining in 24h was with an Nvidia GTX760 and Amazon EC2 instances, not with my ~3 Mh/s scrypt

Hey, if I pre-order 6 usb risers now, when will I get them in Portugal? And how much will they cost in BTC?

Not long. What's the VRM temperature? What's the fan speed?

See "Sensors" on GPu-z

Undervolt and otherwise optimize your videocard. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=435438.msg4849281#msg4849281

1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How can some pools have 0% fees? on: February 06, 2014, 12:25:33 PM
One or more of these:

1) They start now at 0% to build up loyalty, but further on charge a fee.
2) They earn from the transaction fees and donations.
3) The pool operator is also a miner, and pooling with others reduces his variance vs solo mining
4) They scam.
5) For fun,enthusiasm, etc...

I'm not a pool operator, so there are perhaps other reasons

Some people report bad performance with 14.1 drivers. Downgrade to 13.12.

Then, chopping off that CPU down to 1 core is bad idea. Keep 2 and use Cool-And-Quiet and other power saving options.

--temp-target 78 --gpu-fan 60-85

Also, take a look at the core clock speed. Can't be too high. Perhaps --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My first 2 rig on: February 05, 2014, 09:34:48 PM
if your sempron 145 is having issues, try setting cgminer/sgminer to high priority.  it's a software issue, not a processor limitation.

yes i run a lot of rigs with a single core processor.  it doesn't matter if it's an intel or AMD.

and less is better.  it's not a 'trend', it's good business sense.  If i can save $5 on the processor, i can spend that on the GPU.

If you cannot get this and want to buy an extra core to fit into your voodoo, then feel free.  however it's not supported by anything that you can demonstrate.

single core systems work fine with 4 or 5 cards.

next.
My sempron 145? You're the one having issues. Where did I say I have a Sempron 145?

At this stage, I suspect you never used sgminer. Here is what happens CPU wise if intensity >20 gives the best performance:

Now, show us your sempron 145 running VNC/Teamviewer, cgwatcher and sgminer at maxed out hashrate/intensity/WU. Also show us your previous contribution in helping newbies at mining.

1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pools that scam? [Quick analyze of Fast-Pool compared to NetCodePool] on: February 05, 2014, 06:20:11 PM
That is a reason to avoid the pool, but not evidence of a scam. It could be geographic location, low bandwidth, bad configuration, etc...

I've set up quite a few pools my self with and without MPOS, wallets etc, you name it. So, bad configuration, i hardly believe that's even possible.
Low bandwidth, i doubt that too because this would give an indication on our Rejected shares that job's not found.

Im not saying they scam as i got no proof but if i was gonna place a bet on it i would most likely win.
I see. I don't intend to distract from your investigation. I'm pretty sure that some pools DO scam. Please carry on.

win 7 and 8, lots of different motherboards, the newest amd drivers, and yes. any more questions, Officer Dual Core?

you're acting like any of the software you mention tax a modern, single core processor.  you seem to think processors get 'clogged'.  take a look at your task manager and audit the processes.  your CPU usage will not top 10%.

lol, it has nothing to do with 10% cpu "usage". It has to do with interrupts and lower mining WU. Keep this kind of advice to yourself.

OP, ignore this foolish "less is better" trend. If you want to use sgminer with high intensity, VNC/Teamviewer, cgwatcher, MSI afterburner, etc... go for the Sempron 190 dual-core and spend the extra $5 in your $2000 system.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help! Need to know if I just screwed myself. on: February 05, 2014, 12:10:29 PM
Based on my estimates..

1.9MH/s will net you ~25$/day which is 25$/day without electricity costs (as you pay none, it's 0$/electricity).

1700$ (Rig Cost) / 25$ (profit/day) =  68 days to break even, so a little over 2 months just to break even on your hardware.
A bit optimistic. 1.9 Mh/s will not net you 0.03 BTC/day
1176  Other / Off-topic / Re: I don't know what else to do. Forgive me for this. Worth a shot. on: February 05, 2014, 01:23:26 AM
I'm not sure who I dislike the most; beggars, or the torrent of arrogant people that land on those threads...

IMO this thread is actually rather educational for OP.

Besides, who exactly here is "making undue claims in an overbearing manner; that species of pride which consists in exorbitant claims of rank, dignity, estimation, or power, or which exalts the worth or importance of the person to an undue degree; proud contempt of others; lordliness; haughtiness; self-assumption; presumption"? ('arrogance', Webster's Dictionary)

...besides these assholes who copy & paste dictionary of course Grin

I fail to see arrogance here, and I even think OP was satisfied with at least some of the advice given here.
Glad it turned out well this time Smiley

I want to see your face when cryptsy and all the others add it  Cheesy
When cryptsy adds it, instead of n, I will only have n-1 reasons to troll you idiots.  Grin

Oh, and btw, why do you guys need exchanges? I thought you lot would want to hold on to your precious.  Grin

YOU actually admit that you are a troll?!?! This is getting quite funny  Grin
You're saying you admit you're an idiot?  Shocked

There are already a few exchanges with Nxt. Bter for example. Cryptsy is the exchange for 100+ random altcoins. I thought your coin was ... "special".

Then you didn't answer my question. Why do you need an exchange to dump your precious PoS, forging coin?
