Thanks again for the patience and guidance this newb needed in the transaction that you processed for us. Smooth, reliable and supportive and his escrow services not bad either. +2 on the OTC. I will be certainly using Johnthedong for all my escrows from this point forward. Thanks.

*IF* anything gets sent - make an opening video at the post office or in front of the delivery man!!! Paypal can be a bit dense at times-if they provide a tracking number which states they sent and delivered something the right size..... 100% right. And don't forget that you could get a radiator of the same size and looks of the picture advertised. Then explain to paypal that this is not "mining bitcoins" as you expected. I believe you were too anxious. As stated, I'm going to be in Bud next week. We have two or three hungarian bitcoiners who already went to the different addresses advertised with no success, and who are ready to go again to check the units in person. I would have waited to have a confirmation from them before placing an order. +1 Please keep us posted. Great community effort thanks.

You get to change your guess right before the cut off? I suggest you go on the average count over a much longer period.

I really don't see how the BTC is going to be a reliable currency in terms of using it to buy anything given how volatile it is and will likely trend upwards and then correct before heading upwards again. You're under the influence of the money illusion. Illusion. I am on this planet for 90 years if I am lucky buddy. It is all an illusion. That $300,000 pizza sure is an illusion. This is false, as modern fiat currencies have no intrinsic value and their real value is derived from their ability to be exchanged for goods (purchasing power) and used for payment of taxes. Since when is BTC a fiat currency?

I want one for educational pruporses. I know that FPGA will be not profitable in few months
I am buying some for our school to do exactly that. Altcoins are always a nice place to learn.

#2 Avalon have not shipped any thing by end of March, and most of ASICMINER's chips burned after initial weeks of test
Wishful thinking.

I can't tell a customer of mine that their barn wood will be on time even if I have to go to the barn to accelerate the process, when my subcontractor supplier doesn't let me know which barn he's procuring the barn wood from.
It sounds like they do know which bumping facility is involved, though, as they made the choice to switch from one in North Carolina to one in California. While it sounds like there's a hell of a communication breakdown, it also sounds like BFL "didn't know what they didn't know". There's not really any reason for the packaging facility to assume their client has never heard of a blank alignment wafer and won't be supplying one. It's possible that the first either the packaging facility or the bumping facility learned about that was when the wafers arrived at the bumping facility. It's like trying to hurry up the printers when you failed to supply them with the artwork for your job. Now is the time to make sure that they know exactly what is needed for the remaining steps so they're not delayed by something BFL didn't take into account. The Unknown
As we know, There are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know There are known unknowns. That is to say We know there are some things We do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, The ones we don't know We don't know.

Sure you send me .3 btc... deal.
Ignore the point at your peril or go buy $300,000 pizzas.

Would FRC have this issue? Given that it is built for the specific purpose to be used not held I think there are advantages to adopting it over BTC for day to day purchases. Also currencies like Freicoin have been tested and adopted in the "real" world and performed as expected.
What is the problem?
|
|
|
Would you rather spend 1 BTC today or 3500 FRC for a game? Which do you think will hold or gain in "value" in the next 2 years? Which would be a better as currency for everyday trade as opposed to holding as an investment? How does FRC lose value please explain, you did read above I hope? http://polimedia.us/trilema/2013/bitcoin-prices-bitcoin-inflexibility/Now let’s remodel : what happens when a 300% increase on the supply side meets a 5% increase in the demand side ? There’s pretty much literally nothing those extra dollars nobody wants can do to increase the Bitcoin supply. It’s very, very inelastic, and consequently the only stability point is when equilibrium is reached. Two billion dollars divided by 600`000 Bitcoins comes to three thousand dollars and change per Bitcoin.
