Wait what...  Huh Cant be serious

I missed the whole 2nd batch again. If someone is up for selling some of these, please let me know about it.

Yea he did a newsletter/email to those that subscribed on his site offering first dibs - and apparently all were sold.

as there are quite a few that missed out and are looking for some of these, maybe I should do an auction for the 4 extra pairs that I would have.  That might be more fair.

Google can't shut down a site.
At most they can make the browser give an alert to users trying to open it.
This is what they claim to do:
Quote
Google Safe Browsing helps protect over four billion devices every day by showing warnings to users when they attempt to navigate to dangerous sites or download dangerous files.
We were not talking about google. Of course they can not shut it down. The only one who can do is the domain service provider and if they do then Cloudflare will not get the host.

Thanks man. I tried to visit the site and I receive an error from Cloudflare which is a Host Error. does that means that it worked?
Probably. The website was taken down by their host or the scammer did it himself to prevent any evidence ghatering. Either way, I'm glad it's down (at least for now).
This just crossed my mind.

He used Cloudflare, the hosting he had should know his identity too. His coins were going to a Binance address. Intelligence agency have 3 leads to get this guy. Anyone who are victim of him can file a case and see if the scammer can be caught.

I would do it but to be honest I have no idea how that type of stuff works - I luckily only lost about $500 but I can tell you based on the addresses I did see, many were small amounts as well but add it all up, it was a lot - I mean he could have had em all on watch and just decided that was the day to do it. Maybe someone deposited a large sum?

another hard factor would be getting everyone to come forward - many like to hide who they are and hide the fact they have crypto.
5543  Other / Archival / Re: Tangem Bit BTC wallets on: October 12, 2020, 06:07:00 PM
just got notice that my cards are shipping - wonder why they are shipping everything the same day but in different orders with different tracking numbers - this is my 3rd notification today of a shipment from Tangem.
5544  Economy / Goods / Re: crypto cruise ship on: October 12, 2020, 04:22:32 PM
I wish Elwar success with this project but:

  • What's the monthly fee?
  • "Condo" is a huge overstatement for those cabins - anyone who's been on a cruise ship knows.
  • The cabin isn't why people go on cruises so it really depends on what else will be offered on board.

I agree that pricing doesn't look right unless the "homeowner's association fee" is like two grand a month.

agreed on all points! We always get a balcony room but that is so we can have the breeze and hear the waves at night - we are never in the room during the day.

And based on cruise ship room sizes, I do not see this as something someone would want to live in on a permanent basis. Would need like 3 adjacent rooms and then complete remodel of the space of these 3 rooms to be a solid small "condo".
5545  Economy / Goods / crypto cruise ship on: October 12, 2020, 03:53:01 PM
How much do you think the "Condos" will end up costing?
The article says 25k to 50k but I am betting the price goes up. I would almost be tempted to buy one and use it for vacations Smiley

But I want to see it finished, I would not pre-buy into this.

Word on the street is the second batch of these has already sold out. I did not expect this second round to sell out so quickly so I never placed an order. If someone might be so kind to sell me a couple I’d really appreciate it. I’d also be willing to trade some of the original versions for them. I’m only looking for like 2-3 so nothing crazy.

you are correct, he posted on IG, FB and Twitter that the pre-order was sold out. What I was not clear on was how many were part of the pre-order? Was it the full 200 coins he was making? or a percentage of them? I will try and get a clearer answer.

just got a response from Frank - all 200 were sold out

Mine are at customs waiting to be cleared.

If you like, I will have 4 extras of the matte (1 peeled and 3 non peeled) but they will be matching numbers to the first ones - I would be willing to sell any number of the matte finish and then trade their matching numbered first batch for an quantity of your first batch. Unless you wish to buy my first batch ones as well.

I only say this as I feel it would be better to see the matching numbers together. I will be keeping 076(shiny) and 276 (matte).

I just got notice that my ADA card was being shipped.

nothing about the bit cards or the XTZ card yet. Those 6 are still pending.

I would be tempted to buy more CS2 if I knew I could for sure get a red set lol - I have all the others just zero reds - but I know that is the hardest set to get.

also if anyone wants, I have 12 CS physical stamps that are extra - open to offers, not looking for much above face value. It's 3 sets of each animal

1st set is an unopened black set.
2nd set that was opened (only to be scanned to see what they were)
3rd set has not even been removed from the wax paper the post office wrapped the set into.

none of them have been redeemed for their online counterpart.
5549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: October 12, 2020, 06:00:05 AM
my AM is like frozen - none of the stats are changing - and it reports that all miner are not getting shares - but shows them as online.

per the pools miners are working.

I have not seen a reply but what i see is like it is frozen on the main page - take for example my one gpu - it is mining and is using AM to mine but AM says it is offline.

my ASICS stats will not change unless I completely close AM and then upon reopening the stats are updated to that moment but will not change again unless I shut down/restart AM.

This has happened since the last update.
1) Can you please send me your Awesome Miner log file (toolbar: Tools -> Log File) and indicate the time of the issue?
2) When this happens for an ASIC miner, please also send me the API report for this miner (toolbar: Tools -> Log File).

Thanks!

I removed all the miners and re-added them - it appears to be working now. the issue had been since the last update until today.
Thanks for the update. If you don't mind, please send me the log file and I can see if there were any specific issues.

if I did an uninstall of the AM and the miners would it still be in the log file? if so, pm the email and I will send tomorrow after work.

I will share my packing labels when/if they arrive. So far every first day of issue stamps I have ordered have been delayed. Though my Austrian ones eventually showed up but not before they sent replacements and refunded me.
5553  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO]-Crypto Stamps- Collectable Blockchain postage stamps on: October 11, 2020, 11:23:14 PM

Awesome, thanks. Did your shipping note say 4 stamps total, not like 2 canceled and 2 regulars? Just curious. I guess I'll have to open them and hope I get some cool ones. Wink

I received two things for the order I placed on opening day.
this is the first - pretty much just the order confirmation. Which does say 1 regular and 1 cancelled.

this is the second - with the tracking number, I don't see anything that says what is being shipped.

and this is what I get when I do the tracking:
5554  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION ENDS SOON!] 1oz .999 FINE SILVER "BITCOIN" BINARY ROUND (2018) on: October 11, 2020, 10:46:00 PM
if possible share the image of the actual coin or what it looks like as well - that is always nice.
5555  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [1-DAY AUCTION] 1oz .999 FINE SILVER "BITCOIN" BINARY ROUND (2018) on: October 11, 2020, 10:35:14 PM
I was not trying to get any drama started here - just wanted to know if the coin being sold was different than the one I had and if the one being shown was actually a 2018 then what did I have.

I get it that the image is just a stock image and does not actually represent the item being sold exactly. You addressed that - still would be nice to just have those questions and answers without the drama sometimes.
5556  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO]-Crypto Stamps- Collectable Blockchain postage stamps on: October 11, 2020, 10:30:40 PM
Yes, I ordered 5 of each, and I was sent what appears to be only 5 in a sealed pack, but I haven't opened it yet to actually see for sure... I assumed they would come in 2 shipments, but the packing slip says 5 canceled and 5 regular....

On second look, the packing slip just says "10 stamps", so I am assuming they did not send me any canceled ones either. Looking closer at the packaging, I definitely have 10 in there too.

I don't see anything on the slip about not sending me the canceled ones, but I suspect they would not seal 10 in a pack that are different. I still would rather not open it. Tongue

well i only ordered one cancelled on with one normal one on the first order - so I wont mind opening those Tongue so I might be able to tell ya if they bundle them together

Two tickets please! Smiley

Capn_hash as you have paid, let me know how you would wish to proceed, I can leave it open if you wish or close it and refund you the BTC.
5558  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO]-Crypto Stamps- Collectable Blockchain postage stamps on: October 11, 2020, 09:06:14 PM
what I did not realize was that there are 5 different stamps - I thought it was one stamp only. Because of this, I ordered 1 regular and 1 cancelled. I also was not aware that there was at one point (all sold out now) a way to buy them onchain where you could actually select which ones you wanted. I ordered 12 more last night, that will give me 13 regulars 1 cancelled one. I hope out of the 13 that I manage to get one of each. Still waiting for the first 2 to arrive though.

Best of luck for that!

Still wondering why there is such a low interest on the croatian stamps. If you check their online shop there are still plenty of them left.
Perhaps the mistakes that were made by the Austrian Post have deterred some potential buyers..

But in summary it looks like it will be a flop.  Sad

yea possibly - still hoping to get at least one of each 5 - with my luck they will be all the same lol

Pretty sure they sold out of the 500 they were selling for crypto ? Haven’t checked in a while ?

yes the 500 for crypto are sold out.

I was not whining - simply asking as the ad stated 2018 yet the image did not match what I have in possession, which I believed to be a 2018 - mine was a 2018, it simply turned out that the image in the OP is of a 2017
5560  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [1-DAY AUCTION] 1oz .999 FINE SILVER "BITCOIN" BINARY ROUND (2018) on: October 11, 2020, 05:57:53 PM

It is a 2018 per the OP..... OGMcNasty just thinks you should take his word for it as they are too lazy to post photos of the actual coin you'd be buying..... I'd be careful though.... his website was unable to fulfill a gold binary round order for a couple of us users so I'd want proof it's in his possession.

I hate to make assumptions when it could be one or the other that is wrong. And I do think photos should be of the actual coin. Proof of ownership should be necessary, regardless of trust or presence on the forums - my opinion. If it is a 2018, I have one and thus no need to bid.
