561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google is preparing for Spot Bitcoin ETF on: December 12, 2023, 04:06:01 PM
In anticipation of the approval of Bitcoin ETF, Google is adjusting its guidelines for crypto-related products. Before now Google had been very strict on crypto-related advertising on the platform because of concerns for fraud and misleading promotion. However, it seems they are gradually adjusting these policies to reflect the increased mainstream or institutional adoption of Bitcoin.

We can remain neutral about some certain conditions untill we found ourselves involved in them before we take steos or decisions on our stand forbthem, seing that there's going to be massive increase on the cryptocurrencies coming next year, alot of people were seeing this opportunities already for making money out of them, this is part of what is leading to the increases in numbers of bitcoin spot ETF applications, the market is certain to pump and some were already planning towards being a partakers of such through spot ETF, next year is going to be a boom on the bitcoin market.
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who do we feel biased about in bridging the potential outputs of Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2023, 03:18:16 PM
who are we supposed to be biased about? is the the AltCoins that copies and emulates the potential differences of Bitcoin? Or is it the fiat currency that the government holds as a tool (weapon) to standing against the welfares of Bitcoin across its invertors over the globe? Or do we have our darling Bitcoin to be blamed unconciously with its flexibilities romances with the Fiats and the AltCoins?

We are supposed to get used to this kind of experience because it's not happening for the first of its kind, bitcoin exist on its own, every other altcoins came after it to make thesame lookalike project like bitcoin and name them all manners of names, the mistake that government is doing is not realized yet by them, if not they would have known that bitcoin is not the one they are going after, instead all other cryptocurrencies which so many of them are constituting nuisance in cryptocurrency, you could also see that the government cannot stop bitcoin adoption, they can only attack all it's centralized exchanges and the rest, governments should go after shitcoins and not bitcoin.
563  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CRYPTO EARNING OPPORTUNITIES THIS FESTIVE SEASON. on: December 12, 2023, 10:01:31 AM
As customary, there are often events hosted in commemoration of the Christmas celebration, where crypto enthusiasts can get to participate to win some rewards.

Majority if these events are scams, there's no father Christmas anywhere who thinks he already had enough to start giving out freely, instead they will use this festive period to accumulate more to their portfolio using various tricks they think could go along way in captivating others, we need to be very careful, some are just a waste of time while some will use that to spy and physh on us for their aimed attack, some of these promotional offers we are seing were actually own strategy to use in getting audience using influencers or promotional offers.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shorter the time you spend the better on: December 11, 2023, 08:31:26 PM
1. Have a amount limit you can risk on gambling every week.

What of the case scenario of when you're gambling just once a day and you spend less time in making the bet maybe all because you're well preoccupied with doing so many tasks ahead, but you make bet with the huge amount of stake that can covers for someone's gambling staie of a year or months, yet this can be regarded as a short time gambling bit what happened is a big time blow on the money used for it, this are some kind of another category of addicted gamblers to who don't have enough time for gambling but spend much on it.
565  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (BTC) it really helps on: December 11, 2023, 05:18:44 PM
Bitcoin has gone too far and has made levels which other currencies are trying to reach by all meam.

No any other cryptocurrency can make an achievement in getting to where bitcoin is now because they are all carbon copy of bitcoin, altcoins are just an additional projects that some took their time and efforts to make up to look like the real currency which is bitcoin.

Bitcoin needs no introduction as if not all have heard about Bitcoin but all they need to get  is the knowledge about Bitcoin and the technological aspects of Bitclon.

Am just wondering what the world would have been by now without the impact of bitcoin on people's financial lives, there have been many opportunities bitcoin has dropped down for the people without being biased on anyone, it's also part of the reason why we all gather together here to discuss, learn and benefits with bitcoin.
566  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Things to keep in mind Before Bull Run. on: December 11, 2023, 04:37:04 PM
DYOR (Do Your Own Research):

Except for bitcoin, if you're having any altcoins in mind and yet have made no any tangible research on that coin, it's a complete and total risk you're taking, most made investment on shitcoins because they never understand the needful they are required to first make research about before making an investment, we must make our own research and also compare them with other informations we've gathered concerning a crypto coin or project, if we are not sure or confident in what we are seing, then we shouldn't Invest, instead we can wait and follow a gradual step in acquiring more informations about them before Investment.
567  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which amount of money is good for me to spend on DCA? on: December 11, 2023, 03:54:01 PM
A few thoughts:

- I want to always keep 30k in savings, to live comfortably.
- We want to have kids. BTC holdings will hopefully one day allow them to live comfortably.
- Parents own 3 properties and I will inherit one of them. This makes me hesitant to take a mortgage now. I think that owning 1BTC will turn out to be a better investment in 2040 than owning a property. If I am wrong about this, I won't be in trouble.

Maybe you need to first learn about what DCA is all about, then you will understand the specific amount you can invest using this pattern, it's nothing than a simplified means if acquiring bitcoin to make you feels like it's been easy to accomplish acquiring and Investing at all convenience, it's all about a gradual process, you can leave your normal life and yet Investing without missing out opportunities in either ways there hen you understand how to make the balance, everything goes well with a long time plan in using this method irrespective of the time you invest.
568  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Creativities contributions earns rewards. on: December 11, 2023, 02:27:15 PM
Here I am to say it is not most about how lengthy or numerous times you contributes to the forum that earns you merits but what you offers to profer solutions and the level of qualities of how constructive your posts are.
Let my fellow newbies take note.

First of all, a newbie should be less concerned about merits, what they should first concentrate on is the way they could get used to the forum and bitcoin, learning is their first priority, then they also need to understand every reason behind what had been given to them to obey, so earnings rewards shouldn't be a newbie mind set, but giving quality contributions to the community with wether the rewards coming or not, the people will decided on wether to merit or not base on how they were touched or moved by the post.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are slots hard to understand on purpose? on: December 09, 2023, 08:24:05 PM
I think inherently they are difficult to understand because there is so much going on.  It's on purpose the lights, pictures and all the different ways ypu can win are all to keep you engaged and have an entertaining time.  But yeah I'm with you I don't play them for that reason.  Sometimes when I thought I won nothing happened and vice versa

While on a contrary, to me i don't see slot game as a difficult game to understand, as long as it's all about being lucky for one to win it, someone without experience may also make his way forward in giving a try and win, that may be his own personal opportunity, going further to study the way it's been played, the lights, pictures and other menu drop boxs that may constitute other required or vital features to learn and understand their use may not be that necessary for a start than when we just try out our best of luck in it.

Sitting in a place where there's no hope for any income is big mistake which most of our youth are capable of but in the sense you get up stand on your feet and try for just a day I'm sure you will see a little change, in this case we all have to be self dependent not by depending on what someone promise to give.

We should not be too used to a particular comfort zone, we must learn to take risk, try out new opportunities, get focused about our lives and make determination and resolutions that would place us on higher chances, we should always take an assessment on where we are if they are such location that provides us with opportunities or not over a long period of time, we sometimes get so confined ourselves to a particular zone that has not been productive and yet we are being comfortable without making moves to have a change for a new thing, this is one of the self limitations we gives to ourselves.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possibility of Bitcoin insurance or handover: on: December 09, 2023, 05:25:22 PM
What happens to his account and portfolio in such an event?

Is it possible that a third party can start using the account?

If he has no any bad records on ground before his demise, then any of his children, wife or family members can made a decision to take over his account as long as they are doing that legitimately, which also means that they should not forcefully or take over the account in an inappropriate manner, someone like Hal Finney after his departure got his account still active before going completely inactive, this is all about our own decision taken today, those around us we would love to be next of kin and the likes, this also goes along the way we safe of private keys to our bitcoin.
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: December 08, 2023, 03:32:55 PM
But those who are involved in such high-stakes bets are those who have taken sports betting as a way to make money in the form of investment.
I would not go that far to call sport betting an investment.

As long as we have put in for gambling, irrespective of the game played or the kind of bet we made, we are not making it as an Investment and no matter how good we are at it, why this is so is because we never knows the outcome in what we are betting upon untill the final result is out for us to discover either winning or loosing, some don't mind loosing their money on gambling while some do.
574  Economy / Economics / Re: What class of an investor are you? on: December 08, 2023, 03:12:47 PM
There are only two types of investors, retail investors and sharks.

We can belong to either of these category by the way we have invested on bitcoin, if we are rather a whale or a rayfish bitcoin holder otherwise known as retail bitcoiner.

People we found in bitcointalk are mostly will be retail investors because we are talking about in thousands when it comes to investments either its related to crypto or any other assets while sharks got the capital which gives them an edge to make money a lot faster than a retail investor.

Considering this is bitcointalk, the official platform for bitcoin discussions, you should expect the majority of the bitcoin holders here to be whales with the combination of other retail holders, if the whales does not exist here, where else could they have existed than bitcoin forum, you cannot know the real identity of every bitcoiners here, that's why privacy is very important.

576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 08, 2023, 02:10:48 PM
It would also be nice to keep track of the halving count down and activities and to do that, the link below can help you out by taking you to the coin market cap page where it is visible to see.

Bitcoin Halving is definitely coming next year and we are precise about it, this is a period where the market goes more profitable because it's highly volatile after the incident of the halving has taken place, when we hold, we are part of those positioned to experience the same opportunity that comes with bitcoin Investment to this period, we are likely to see it coming within the first half of the year 2024 and am not sure if the specific date is yet announced where it will took place precisely.
577  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is cyber crime the last resort of the struggling Nigerians on: December 08, 2023, 07:43:30 AM
I was going through the social media and came across this news about the Economic and Financial Crime Commission Chairman, Olukoyede saying that 7 out of 10 Nigerian students are involved in cyber crime.

That is a lie, i don't believe in this statistics, i cannot dispute the fact that people are involved in illicit activities but on this aspect of percentage, you can't run it to be 7 out of 10 instead i will go with 3 out of 10 are involved in cyber crime, not all the 3 people were also as chronic and heartless as that, many are just curious about finding a legitimate means of earnings from the digital networks.

This is not something to be proud of because it means that 70% of Nigerian students are into cyber crime which I think it is not true entirely when deeper analysis is done about it.

Maybe you google it on the internet the countries with the highest rate of cyber crime, you're liable to discover as many as possible, there's nothing to proof this, you can't believe whatever you see on the internet, there are countries more worst than Nigeria.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: December 07, 2023, 03:15:49 PM
Every type of addiction is really complicated, especially when it comes to children who have no idea how serious it is.

Whenever possible, parents should pay close attention to the slightest sign of inappropriate behavior by their children when playing or using the internet.

We should also live a modest lifestyle as parents by not being the loosed type that we don't exercise caution from the way we gamble tonthe extent of doing it right in front of our children, we must not be the reason why they got exposed to gambling no matter what, being a parent, we should live by example, we must be intentional about the way of our children upbringings, parents should give the necessary attention on their children and not to complicate on the way they are living their lives through what they saw from us doing.
579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is the only currency that has grown the most!! on: December 07, 2023, 02:43:40 PM
Present, there are many altcoins in the crypto market and they have grown a lot. But it has gone down and gone again, but Bitcoin is the only currency that hasn't gone down yet, instead it's going up. I've noticed that Bitcoin has grown the most over the past couple of days, but altcoins haven't grown as much in comparison. Currently, we see Bitcoin market above $44000, I think it will bring $45000 very soon. Will Bitcoin Touch $50,000 By This December?  What do you think about the way the Bitcoin market is currently growing?

I think the way it works is like that, when bitcoin is about to rise, all money flows will go there. As a result, bitcoin will rise first while altcoins are silent and left behind, but after rising bitcoin will break for a moment, that's where the new altcoins will rise because money alternately flows into altcoins.
and according to my predictions the cycle will always be like that.

Bitcoin is already having good performance with the recent market price and we can observe that many other altcoins are not performing well as bitcoin did in this recent bull, this is just a preparation towards the bullrun which we will soon get into early next year that the market rises and pump more, this time we are is still the period to accumulate more and hold till we are into the season for the bullrun where the market remains favourable for sell.
580  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone be a Bitcoin speculation expert? on: December 07, 2023, 02:14:35 PM
I've come across plenty of speculation about Bitcoin even before joining the forum. I remember when people said that the current rise in the price of Bitcoin doesn't necessarily mean it's a bull run. Even now, with Bitcoin at $44k, there are still speculations that it will dip.

During the Bullish Trend

$36k -- btc will dump
$38k -- btc will dump
$40k -- btc will dump
$42k -- btc will dump
$44k -- btc will dump

If by any chance bitcoin goes below 36k or further they would say they were right  about this. I want to know if it is possible for someone to be a bitcoin expert. Like a person who is always right about his/her speculations even if it takes sometime to be confirmed.

For now, just take it off your mind that bitcoin will go down to $36,000 or anything down below $40,000 all through the remaining days of this year is bullish for bitcoin abd following next by January is another anticipated bitcoin spot ETF approval we are also waiting for which will also be another additional reason for the market to rise more, if i were you, i will remain bullish between now till after next year halving which will follow a bullrun.
