is it half-full or half-empty?
Is it the bottom or the top??
Do we love 56K or hate it yet?

^ in fact rich is a number in the mind, like bitcoin ... the trick is getting rest of humanity to believe the number in your mind means the same to them as the same number in their minds

It seems whatever your brain latches on first.
One time I looked and it was cw, next time ccw.
disturbing.

EDIT: It changes if I close one eye.

EDIT 2: Here is another anecdote-there is a spot in your retina, which has no light receptors, called the optic disk (blind spot). Yet, you don't see a round hole in your vision field.
Your brain performs 'filling-in', like an advanced photoshop and you don't notice anything unusual, the field of vision is smooth. There is some way you can find the blind spot, but it is a bit involved.

... everybody's options expire worthless??, good let's move on then

options are a fool's game, incentivising manipulation and introducing peverse incentives from temporally incongruous assets into spot markets

Actually, I was thinking about who Musk might be in the WO, and surely proudhon would be a decent candidate.

The general tone is in the right place, but does account age check out?

Proudhon's been around far too long to be Musk.

I can confirm. I am not Elon Musk.

proudhon is a Llama, not a Springbok.

Perhaps proudhon will give us some details on the upcoming Llama Price Movement, which could drop at any time.  I don't want to be anywhere close to that.

What you think about an Alpaca, they look really cute Cheesy

FWIW, somehow I don't believe this "Stimulus Check inrush into Bitcoin" is going to be as dramatic as some of us are expecting. Dare I say that it may not even register in the charts. Why? Because I don't really believe that the average US citizen is really going to rush and invest $1200 in Bitcoin just like that. I mean, if all these people wanted to invest in Bitcoin, they would have done it already. Also, I expect that the ones who do invest their Stimulus Checks in Bitcoin will sell their coins as soon as the price increases enough to give them a decent profit. The problem is that most of these people won't do it because they somehow "saw the light" and understood what Bitcoin is all about, but just to make a quick buck.

I could be totally wrong, but that's the way I see it. Nothing will happen. Just a small blip in the charts. What's needed are big moves like Elon's and Saylor's. Big institutional investors that buy Bitcoin in bulk with the intention to HoDL, and publicize it in any way they can. That's what will drive the price up.

My .02 BTC     Hey, that's nearly a Stimulus Check's worth of corn!

I think you're probably right, it's more likely to be spent on essentials than Bitcoin

the stimulus checks at 400bill total was a minority part of the total 1.9 trillion in democrat socialist helicopter money spending

... also many broke democrat cities and states got bailed out of huge debts built up from years of mismanagement, corruption, etc

... also broke govt employee union pension funds for overweight retired cops, teachers, firemen, lawyers, prosecuters, etc, etc, public bureaucrats list of 'road builders' is very long, all were bailed out

... the looters have discovered the printing press and are elbows out at the trough for their  'fair share'

... looters are venal and have keen self-preservation instincts, like rats, their next move is to greedily buy wealth-preserving assets

Remember when ICO were offered and the startups all thought they were being so very cute and sly in the way of selling them off as assets?
Well the SEC shut that sh*t quite quick and after a while I am seeing them doing the same thing with these eventually.
They always seem to find that buttplug so to stop the stream in those loopholes the creators of these non-fungible things seem to always get around(exploit in the legal system?) at the start of their inception in the ether. Wink

... art, classic cars, collectables are not subject to capital gains, afaik, especially if the gains are one-off, i.e. not regular source of income.

... crypto is opening up multiple holes in the dyke of financial facism, SEC might be running out of fingers at some point.

One thing I find interesting is the creators assumed the celestial bodies orbited the earth yet they listed those bodies in the correct order of distance from the sun on the device.

... for an earth-based observer using a mechanical calculator (i.e. algebraically without access to calculus), the Ptolemaic epicyclic method is the most expedient

... we only assume they thought the planets revolved around the earth and not the sun, but for earth-based observers wishing to plot the postions of the planets in the night sky the planets maybe orbiting the sun but their positional description is revolving about the observer

... they may have been fully aware the planets orbited the sun but for their purposes of description that would have been immaterial

As much as I admire and respect the great technical achievements of the SpaceX Starship I think there is becoming apparent a major flaw that precludes it from being the human-carrying vessel many of us had hoped for. The amazing all stainless steel construction philosophy is turning out to be a huge success economically and strategically for rapid development. Multiple cheap prototype rockets can be manufactured in a factory line manner using initially ex-oilfield welders in the texas dusty environments outdoors, and then robotic welding macines.
However, when you listen to these beasts fire up there is an otherworldly ringing-rumbling screeching sound that only metal can make, and this is from 8-10 km away. Imagine what that sound would be like if you were inside the beast. Think of being an ant inside Carribean steel drum while pounded with cat 5 hurricane driven hailstorm and you might get some idea. Because it a huge stainless steel cylinder I suspect that no amount of noise-proofing or ear-protection can buffer occupants from sufferring the ill effects of this cacophony. It will have many harmonics and likely some at frequencies that shake your internal organs enough to induce vomiting or even pain directly. I hope it isn't the case but from the outside it looks like a major risk to the ambitions of the project to me.

I heard you like rockets so I made this gif

this is a video capture from the first successful landing of the new spacex starship rocket. I don't know how they made it, it looks unreal, computer animated. Most likely a drone captured that.

it's from a camera on the ground just to one side of the landing pad looking almost directly up.

The ignition of three engines and shutting down of two is intentional. Two previous attempts suffered engine failures to reignite and subsequent crashes, so new technique is to ignite all three for redundancy and shutoff what is not needed. It only needs full thrust of one engine to hover. However since there are three engines equidistant from the central axis, when only one is running the craft needs to be tilted to maintain upright balance and given the massive size and inertia tilting to the functioning engine direction takes precious time to achieve when coming in hot like that.

In this attempt, balance or full thrust wasn't achieved in time and the rocket hit the ground with its tail at 20-30mph with a slight bounce. Yes it landed kind of upright but internal damage sustained was catastrophic, then boom a few minutes later.
