Indeed, we are already under attack, especially by the food and pharmaceutical industry, with the knowing or unknowing assistance of the governments. Terrorists are actually just the icing on the cake.
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is staking? on: February 02, 2016, 11:02:55 AM
The question is in the title, I've only heard of this when people talk about altcoins so I think this is the best section.

Staking is the "mining" of PoS (proof of stake) coins. As BTC using PoW, indeed you can't hear about PoS outside the altcoin board. You can find some basic info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof-of-stake

Staking starts with storing your coins in your wallet. If your coins reached "maturity" (coin age=whatever days) you can start staking by opening your wallet and unlocking it for staking. Then your wallet start competing with other wallets for signing the next block. After signing a block you will get a reward -depending on the given coin that used to be a few percent of your staked coins- and your coins age will be zeroed out.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How price of Any Coin Determined ? on: February 02, 2016, 10:39:05 AM
I have question about price of any coin how it get determined ?

The main factors are supply and demand, but greatly influenced by pumps and dumps. Actually as there are no real economy behind 99% of the alts, but there is a steadily increasing supply, the supply used to be a lot bigger than the demand, that's why almost all coins keep losing value.

How do You will survive if Your
 Air + Food + Water
 will be poisoned biologically?

What sort of bio-warfare do you think? Terrorists? Something goes wrong in a biotech lab? Something permanent like a government/corporate experiment on the population?
565  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Germany: Only 2% of Invaders Will Work on: February 01, 2016, 01:00:44 PM
Germans have that WW2 complex so they are now extreme liberals and care for every bumpkin from around globe who get there and ask help. I just hope they will eventually get over that and start to use sane brain before those goatfuckers destroy German culture and country.

How do you know they are goatfuckers? Are you there when they goatfucking? Or are you a goat and they fucked you? Now go back to your hole squirrel.

Perhaps because of they used to engage in sex with animals indeed: http://www.wikiislam.net/wiki/Islam_and_Bestiality. Actually islam is one of the very few religions what allows or don't care about such actions.
566  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Bingo on: February 01, 2016, 12:23:58 PM
On the bigger sites like FortuneJack, Betcoin.ag, etc you play bingo, as they have enough profit from more popular games to maintain such "also ran" things, just for having a full gambling portfolio Smiley. Smaller sites probably not wasting storage space, maintenance time and bandwidth for low popularity games like bingo.
567  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Racism is a real thing (this thread is extremely racist) on: February 01, 2016, 10:46:28 AM
I don't know if this thread is a troll....

And at this point I'm too afraid to ask  Shocked

I think this thread isn't about trolling. BTW there are differences between races, indeed. This isn't about bigotry or hatred, but about adaptation to climate and social conditions. You can call it a "micro-evolution". Different climate and social environments obviously result in different features and skills.
568  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin and sex on: February 01, 2016, 10:32:50 AM
On Twitter she is "American Mistress", ElleBardotSmith. She likes
to use big words and she's articulate for a chem major.
Google #Giveyourmoneytowomen for a laugh. That's her
brainchild.

Well, that #Giveyourmoneytowomen was/is a pretty childish pseudo-feminist rip-off attempt indeed. Quite entertaining tho' Smiley. I guess they wanted to be ironic.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum a bubble? on: January 30, 2016, 06:07:17 PM
Looks like a bubble, as apart from a doge gateway and news about some banks thinking on testing it in the future nothing really happened. But this is nothing, we'll see lot bigger pumps when ETH will hit the Chinese exchanges.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you know Bitcoin will tank tomorrow, which altcoin would you jump to? on: January 30, 2016, 06:03:34 PM
I'd go for fiat Smiley. If BTC tanking all altcoins used to follow suit. Until all alts are practically pegged to BTC none would be useful as a safe heaven.
571  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isis has destroyed Iraq's oldest Christian monastery, satellite images confirm on: January 30, 2016, 05:58:39 PM
I guess, if we would do the same with one of their mosques in Europe they would be very upset, probably they would barking about blasphemy. Sometimes I feel regret because of we've grown out our barbarism. With those old ways we could restore law and order over there pretty soon.
572  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is investing in BTCJam considered a form of betting? on: January 30, 2016, 12:09:59 AM
Providing loans without collateral is pretty much gambling, with not particularly good odds. Those guys in the lending section are not just accidentally used to ask for 110-120% collateral (with strict rules about what is a valid collateral) in the case of unknown/untrusted accounts.
573  Economy / Lending / Re: 2.5 btc / collateral account on: January 29, 2016, 11:55:20 PM
Usually when newbies ask for loans with accounts as collateral, they have zero intention of making good on it.

I think he doesn't really want any loan. He want to sell some verified loan accounts, and according to this:

... i just want to sell these accounts to a user who know how to use them. Wink

...someone can use these accounts to grab some "non refundable loans". But perhaps I've missed something.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Developing] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 29, 2016, 11:41:54 PM
Exactly...
Instead of SMS how about using Google Authenticator? that sends a code to your smartphone in google auth app and then you put that on website it you added a vote.

Google Authenticator looks like a good idea but there are some flaws. Running Android as a virtual machine is a common practice, and since WinAuth is also available for Windows PCs I can install as much "Google Authenticators" as I want, therefore theoretically I can make infinite votes. However as I would need to put some effort in making a lot of votes, my willingness to do so would depend on the expected profit. So GA could work if the profit doesn't worth the effort. I think SMS is still the best method.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin trading bot on: January 29, 2016, 11:13:33 PM
Are there altcoin trading bots available to use or do I need to write my own?

C.A.T is probably the most famous: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=507103.0
Haas is another one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211979.0
...and Qt Bitcoin Trader is a free and open source bot (please note that this one is a bit limited on supported exchanges) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201062.0
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ring Confidential Transactions or Soda Vending Machine? on: January 29, 2016, 11:08:39 AM
My point (and you missed it) is that people, when they find out the use of a thing, don't need to understand it--they just need to know what it does, and if you would chose a soda machine over https or solid cryptography, while knowing what they do, then you would be a dumbass. Dash's cryptography is flawed, so comparisons to Microsoft are ridiculous.

I didn't missed it. I agree, people don't need to be car mechanic to drive a car, but they need some understanding of traffic rules, driving, how to handle a car, and what are the features and limitations. But before all of these things they have to know what a car is, what's the purpose of it, and they also have to believe that they need a car and they will be able to use it. That's all marketing, and marketing is something what the dash guys doing at least on some basic level, while you monero guys used to ignore this aspect (apart from mocking dash) Smiley. Technological superiority on its own not necessarily result in greater adoption or greater success.

Microsoft stuff was also notoriously flawed, but it was easy to use and advertised everywhere. OS/2 was far better and safer but because of the lack of publicity it remained a geeky stuff and finally disappeared. So that comparison isn't that ridiculous.
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Synereo - Earn Money Using Social Media on: January 29, 2016, 10:21:42 AM
Next month, Synereo is releasing their beta social media application.  If you don't know, Synereo is, at its core, a decentralized, monetized content delivery network.  By allowing users to directly own their data, thus cutting out the middleman (aka Mark Zuckerberg), Synereo passes on the profits to its userbase.  This is referred to as the "attention economy".  As users view and refer ("like") content coming into their personalized streams, they generate a reputation score and earn money.  The attention economy is powered by AMPs on a Casper blockchain.  All settlement is done in AMPs, but the user will have the option of earning any currency they wish.

My question to you is, "Would you change your social media network if you could actually earn money by simply using another network?"

Personally, I think this model has a great, widespread appeal to both the privacy oriented crypto crowd and the general market populace.  Who wouldn't want to earn money by doing something they already spend time doing?

The answer to your question depends on what I would find on that new social media network. E.g. on facebook or twitter I'll get huge number of people and a lot of attention if I'm doing it right. On LinkedIn I can find the right people if I need something, and vice versa.
If I can find only the same 50 or let's say 200 people chatting with each other (or with themselves on different nicknames), that's not much use even if I get paid for being bored to death there. Tagbond is a good example for this.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Developing] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 29, 2016, 10:09:02 AM
Hi
I am thinking of making an altcoin voting site, like first users have verify their account by connecting social media accounts (or any other type for confirmation). Then they can vote for the altcoin, but i want Altcoin Exchange site to trust our platform without this it will be unsuccessful.

I thought that One vote per IP per Giveaway+No proxies+No VPNs is best option

How do you think?

Well, I don't know how many IT guys we have here who have access to several customer site, but for example I can reach almost 90 customer sites with ssh, VLC or remote desktop access to local servers. That means nearly 90 votes. As all remote sites have dual internet connection if I'm doing this at night and spend some time on changing the routing priority and briefly swap sites to the backup ISP, I can double my votes. By using some mobile networks (5-6 phones) and free WiFi hotspots what I know, I can add something like 20 more votes. So, with this quick and dirty solution I've made some 200(ish) votes Smiley. I think using IP as an ID is not a really good solution.
Using SMS is probably better, as right now I have access only to 5 phones and I can ask some friends to help me with more, and I can also use some "receive SMS online for free" services but I wouldn't be able to get more than 30 votes, what is an order of magnitude less than the IP based approach Smiley.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Without Blockchain on: January 29, 2016, 12:51:02 AM
@OP - Thank you for being the one to finally ask this question! Ive been wondering the same thing myself for quite awhile lol

@Snail2 - Thanks for your great explanation! I think I at least have a basic understanding of the term now. Is there possibly a link you could provide where I could possibly do more reading on the subject?

Perhaps the Ripple-consensus white paper is the best information source for this: https://ripple.com/consensus-whitepaper/
(but some of the other white papers can be useful too: https://ripple.com/whitepapers-reports/)
I think the IOTA white paper(s) also going to be interesting as it will implement an other blockchainless transaction processing approach.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ring Confidential Transactions or Soda Vending Machine? on: January 29, 2016, 12:40:12 AM
My point originally was this vending machine idea is exactly the sort of thing the Dash team in my dream would have come up with.   I currently own no Dash at alm but now that dream made such a heavy impression on my mind I'm thinking about getting into it.  Are there any resources to get wallets (especially phone apps). And maybe a couple Dash to get started with?

I currently only own Ethereum but you cant buy shit with it yet. Can you use dash for anything in the UK?

Not really. I guess you can buy weed and such stuff with it but that's not used to be advertised on any soda machines Smiley.
