5681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] Horizen: Bringing Privacy To Life [EX ZenCash] on: September 25, 2018, 10:52:06 PM
I'm happy to write about this great project and I hope you like it.  Wink

https://steemit.com/crypto/@eddyc/horizen-solidifying-privacy-and-bringing-directly-into-our-lifes

I liked and shared.
You should make another one explaining the different products built on Horizen. And why not turn it into a series about Horizen

Something to say now elva25?

5683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the Best Coins to Buy? on: September 25, 2018, 10:30:52 PM
Horizen has a good potential currently. Primarily because it uses a good tech with zk-SNARKs and end-to-end network encryption. With its supernodes and secure nodes, it is perhaps the most resilient network. It has a sustainable funding model with protocol-level solutions.
It has a huge team behind (they are over 50 persons if I remember) with different backgrounds and skills.
Grayscale added Horizen to its portfolio investments, it opens the doors to institutions and big investors it's a good sign showing its potential

I to all the friends recommend to buy Nebulas. I think this coins will be able to repeat success of Google but only in the system of cryptocurrencies

What drug are you taking?
5684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TOP 10 BITCOIN CITIES IN THE WORLD on: September 25, 2018, 10:04:25 PM
The number of businesses in a city accepting cryptocurrency isn't what makes it the top 10
The number of users is, by far, more important and show the real picture of the city. If a city has 100 businesses accepting cryptocurrency but nobody is using it then it's worthless. You can have 100 businesses accepting crypto but if only 0.001% of the transactions are paid in crypto then it shows nothing (especially considering most of them are small or very small merchands)
5685  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: XMLGOLD.EU - Big Problems! on: September 25, 2018, 08:13:13 PM
Not sure if they are telling the full story here. CrytoCapiyal was its payments provider as it says. But the bank account is not closed. The whole business is closed for 2-3 weeks already. So they could have a double problem here: no access to the bank account and perhaps no communication possible left with cryptocapital
5686  Economy / Reputation / Re: Sinatrra12 & Co. is trying to make us regret starting our own team on: September 25, 2018, 07:53:30 PM
It isn't going to hurt you anywhere, let's him to do whatever he wants and ignore him.
Basically, you can't really add XXX project to your portfolio since you didn't work for, you worked for someone else who himself is providing services for the said project. It's like if I say I worked for Barclays, while in fact, I was just paid to clean the toilet by a cleaning company providing cleaning service for Barclays.
5687  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship is the only way out on: September 25, 2018, 05:06:37 PM
I also know people who have the idea, the market, the demand and everything needed to start but can't because once the taxes are paid the entrepreneur will be with a negative balance.

Aren't you supposed to pay tax over that what you generate in revenue and profit? How does one in that case end up with a negative balance?

I know that in some cases it's not easy to remain operational when you have started up for yourself, but most of these people fail because of external expenses and not necessarily tax hits. The main problem here is that you can't consistently generate income through your business (especially in the early stage) while your expenses are near identical in amount and consistently recurring every month.

The only thing you can blame the government for in this case is that they aren't giving starters more space and lower taxes during their initial year. Let people comfortably build up a foundation where after that you can still squeeze every penny out of them in form of taxation.

It depends on the structure and the size, but many companies pay a forecast on their income. The government assumes that your company will earn $xxxxxx over the next 6 months and therefore charges you accordingly. After 6 months they make a count and deduct. But companies need the money now and not in 6 months.
Also if you hire people no matter the company income, the tax related to your employee stays the same, since you pay the worker the same fixed salary
5688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google now understand the importance of crypto. on: September 25, 2018, 04:23:24 PM
Not a lot of people have a Google certification and most don't even know it exists. Whatever, the majority surely won't be able to get it and so not able to run a campaign. Some cash is coming for those who already have a Google certification Roll Eyes
5689  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-09-24] B Foundation’ Announced at Honey Badger 2018 Bitcoin Conference on: September 25, 2018, 03:18:32 PM
It could end with a group that wants to represent and speaks on behalf of the whole community. This is not necessarily a positive point,  it could also create discord between different people or groups. Since the purpose of Bitcoin is to be free from any entity, this type of group could decide for us, and they could decide and act in their own interest and not of Bitcoin. There is no need for a foundation to focus on coordinating bitcoin adoption and research dev.
5690  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking at starting a UK/EU based Antminer repair centre on: September 25, 2018, 03:04:40 PM
Is there really a market in Europe about this? Big enough to create a company in this kind of activity. The electricity cost in the West is 2 times more than in the East. So I think your target should be the East

@gentlemand
Hey Brexit is not yet, are you guy in the UK trying to avoid your responsibility for broken Europe? Cheesy

@RNS-SOL
Can't you read the topic to understand what the guy is talking about, the guy is clearly talking about Bitmain Antminer repair course. You don't know what it is, or you didn't read, which one is your case.
5691  Economy / Services / Re: UBS CARD - Credit Card That Accpet Bitcoin, Ethereum and more Cryptos on: September 24, 2018, 09:44:11 PM
Oh yeah, again you trying to fool users? I see you finally changed the logo since you were using the UBS logo  Cheesy
But euh , No SSL website how that comes? It's rare to see a website dealing with money no using SSL. I haven't seen on the last 10 years Cheesy
5692  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why withdrawal of BTC in Exrates exchange takes longer? on: September 24, 2018, 07:07:34 PM
Some exchanges process the withdraws in batch 3-4 times per days. For example, payments are sent ay 6.00 am 10.00 am 2.00 pm 6.00 pm.
On their side, I don't what benefits they get from it, but users can save the fees, as with this method the fee charged is 0

5694  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-09-07] Ukrainians Advised to Pay 19.5% Tax on Crypto Incomes on: September 24, 2018, 05:02:55 PM
The rate in this country related to the incomes taxes it currently at 18% (the highest has been 20%) So what? Not much difference compared the incomes. Any income shall be taxed, there is nothing wrong. At least the citizens know where the government stands, but generally speaking, any citizen knows there will be a tax.

https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/personal-income-tax-rate

Actually only people who were indoctrinated by years of government propaganda can repeat slogans like "all income should be taxed". Saying no to the abuse is one of the fundamental rights of a human being and taxes of almost 20% on top of VAT, excise and property tax are an abuse.
If the government is abusing the miners they should leave and move the businesses somewhere else. A couple months ago there was a case of Polish government abusing traders and demanding 1% of every transaction on top of the income tax. As a result all exchanges moved out of the country.

It has nothing to do with government propaganda. Every citizen has to participate in the country. Money doesn't grow on trees ( as far as I know) How do you want to run a country if the country has no income. People complaining about taxes are the same people complaining about how infrastructure are bad in their country. How roads are shit, the hospitals look like basement underground etc. So you want a free school for your children but don't want to pay a tax? It's not how things work.

Then, claiming a 20% VAT is an abuse is a little exaggerating. How do you know it is an abuse? How do you define what is not an abuse?
5695  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The best way to profit in cryptocurrency on: September 24, 2018, 04:38:42 PM
what do you think Huh
Which one has more profits and benefits, With less risk?
Investing on ico?
Trading?
Airdrop and bounty program?

Please leave your comments

Airdrop and bounty campaign are not investments LOL. Don't mix investing with this OMG. It's just an advertising campaign incentivizing people, nothing more.
People should also stop to invest in most ICO projects, there are a lot of scams and when not, projects are abandoned within 3 months.
Trading can be profitable but you need a budget to start and really know what you're doing
5696  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: September 24, 2018, 04:23:46 PM
It's how the banking system and the financial markets authority work in Europe. With the European laws, you're not so free financially speaking. you can't make whatever you want with your money.
To give you an example, in my country, your account is flagged once you hit 5000€ worth of transactions within 30 days. So, the bank has to abide by the law and report your account to the authority govt. then the authority will scrutinize the last transaction to see what you're doing with your money.
Dirty coins or not doesn't matter since you don't transfer coins to your bank account, but you trade for fiat and only then transfer outside.
An exchange or a web wallet can also ask you from where the coins come from and what is your activity
5697  Economy / Economics / Re: Do sin taxes work? on: September 24, 2018, 02:14:08 PM
Quote
Policy makers are right to think that the tax on sin causes lower consumption

I can show you 2 cases in my country

- tobacco

The tax increases every year, and even 2 times per year recently. About 15 years a cigarette pack cost about $2.5, now it costs $8, and the government plans to increase the price to 10 euros.
Does it make people stopping to smoke: nope

- soda
Companies (such as Coca-Cola) have to pay a sugar tax. What did it give? Instead of increasing the price they have reduced the quantities, the bottles have their size reduced but the price is the same, (so it costs more) some have reduced the quantities AND increased the price

So, charging the companies with a new tax has an impact on consumers at the end.
5698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Art Exhibition in Paris to Celebrate Bitcoin’s Tenth Birthday on: September 24, 2018, 01:57:07 PM
Hey guys. This isn't the first one in Paris. And if you want to know there is a boulevard Bitcoin in Paris, since 2016. You're jealous, yeah I know.
@znation Such event isn't for the purpose to promote Bitcoin "to recover" from anything. Another one only interested in Bitcoin's value but not in its adoption
5699  Economy / Speculation / Tether Has No Real Impact on Bitcoin price on: September 23, 2018, 04:15:16 PM
Do you remember the waves of people (including me maybe) saying some time ago that the price of Bitcoin is related to Tether (Is Bitcoin Really Un-Tethered?)

There is an academic study by a university researcher debunking the claims. It used VAR model (Vector autoregression) The study claims there is not any strong evidence between Thether and the Bitcoin's rally in 2017

5700  Economy / Services / Re: Need promotion for my ICO in twitter on: September 23, 2018, 03:46:51 PM
You should mention the project you want to promote. It saves the time for everyone, including yours.
I could contact you and start to talk then, but if I see the project is a scam/Ponzi, porn, casino/betting related then I won't be interested to promote your ICO, so then we both wasted our time.

When you're hiring someone you need to give the maximum information as you can to make it clear exactly what you're looking for and what do you expect. And yes, the other party too should give as most information as possible while applying
