6281  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: July 14, 2018, 05:36:34 PM
There are still some countries, but the majority is located in African countries and people usually don't want to get banked there, for geopolitical reasons. Other than that Taiwan and Singapore are still good but the problem is, it can change at any time. You can wake up tomorrow and see that the country signed the AEOI agreement and your country has everything now
6282  Economy / Speculation / Re: TenX Co-Founder Stands Behind $60,000 Bitcoin Price Prediction on: July 14, 2018, 05:18:34 PM
Who gives a shit about outrageous predictions?  If you recall the huge bull market in precious metals that ended in 2011, there were "experts" predicting $10,000 silver and $500,000 gold, and every increment up to those insane values.  People were predicting the Dow would soon be at 36,000 back in 2000.  And on and on.

My guess is that individuals who make these calls have a vested interest in being bullish, i.e., they have some of whatever it is they're pumping.  That kind of stuff is commonplace in the Speculation section, where people who own bitcoin are always predicting it's going to the moon, wherever that is.

Don't listen to this hype, because that's all it is.  I can guarantee you the dude in the OP who's predicting bitcoin is going to $60,000 didn't predict we'd fall from $20,000 to where we're at now.

But he predicted this fall during the high back in December, which might make his statement deserving of more attention. In any case, his prediction is mentioned in the article which I highlighted.

Back in December and even before, it was not difficult to predict the price will crash. Most people expected it. It's just that we didn't think it would happen so fast.
Predictions from such people need to be considered all together but not individually in my opinion. And still, it need to be considered with a grain of salt
6283  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The future of privacy coins on exchanges on: July 14, 2018, 04:27:58 PM
Using only the transparent address won't attract the right users. It will attract only people using the coin to speculate. But people using Zcoin for the privacy feature will never use Coinbase because 1: only transparent address, 2: it's a web wallet.

I don't think it will become a trend to remove the privacy-centric cryptocurrencies for the sake of the regulations. It's just that Coinbase is playing the hypocrisy card. They first claimed to be focusing only with Bitcoin but with the years they had more coins for the money
6284  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: July 14, 2018, 04:15:33 PM
The Swiss banks are the best if you don't mind AEOI.

AEOI is only between OECD members or they also share with other countries?

What offshore jurisdictions do swiss banks accept?

A country doesn't need to be an OECB member to participate in the AEOI program. There are maybe 20-30 countries in OECB but AEOI has thousands. Also a country doesn't need to sign the AEOI agreement to exchange information with other countries. They can always use other means: on request or spontaneously.
6285  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the top BTC mixers after Bitmixer? on: July 14, 2018, 03:49:58 PM
Personally, I tried helix-grams(.)com < SCAM
I do not know if this service is good, but I liked it. Very easy use and quick withdraw.
This is a SCAM!

Don't use this fake mixer. Helix has closed their doors months ago.

This fake website starts to be spammed in the forum. I commented on one post some days ago the guy was posting about the same comment. As far as I remember Helix closed 8 months ago about. Look like someone is trying to get the trust and use it to scam newbies by showing them a fake links in the search  engines
6286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin To $65000 In 2018 - Bitcoin ETF Explained ! on: July 14, 2018, 03:28:42 PM
So what are your thoughts about CBOE ETF approval this time around ? - Hope it somehow gets approved
Do you think we will see it getting approved this time around ? - No
Do you think we will see bitcoin to reach $65000 in 2018 ? - No

Long tem the price will reach very high numbers but I don’t expect this ETF to gain approval. I predict something over $10,000 but under $20,000 by the end of 2018.

I really doubt we will see it approved anytime soon. and to believe Bitcoin will reach $65,000 shall make people think to join a rehab hospital.
We will surely see the price increase a little just some days before but after it will be denied you can be sure the price will down, perhaps under $6,000
6287  Other / Meta / Re: can we make one more section of merit giving thread on: July 13, 2018, 07:14:57 PM
I don"t see any use to create a sub-section for Merits because I believe it's just motivating people to spam more about Merits..
On another side talking about the sections of the forum, I wonder why the Scam Accusations, Reputation are both in the trading section instead of the Meta section (or ?) Both child boards look like out of topic for the trading board
6288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest misconception of Cryptocurrency in your country? on: July 13, 2018, 06:43:50 PM
One if the biggest misconception about Bitcoin in my country, but not only, worldwide too. Considering Bitcoin as an investment scheme because it isn't what Bitcoin, or the basis of any cryptocurrency, is supposed to be for. If Bitcoin was never considered as an investment then perhaps Bitcoin could be a lot more adopted today.
6289  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2018 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites on: July 13, 2018, 06:07:09 PM
Sorry for you. It's often how the scammers work, they complete your first mix, so you can think the service is legit, then on your next mix, they will steal your coins.
Be careful too with the blog websites and their Top 5, Best XYZ, ztc
6290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think Hodl is most overrated term used in crpyto on: July 13, 2018, 05:32:04 PM
Hold is just a word used as a joke. You can use "storing" "keeping" or whatever it's the same meaning. There is nothing to do with a newbie who owns some shitcoins, he still needs to make some researches to know about what he is jumping on. If he doesn't know what he is doing then it's another problem
6291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF: Will August 10th Mark The Revival of High Bitcoin Price? on: July 13, 2018, 03:07:13 PM
With the luck we have, I wouldn't be surprised if the Bitcoin decrease by 10% no matter what will be the decision. The December story will repeat again. Don't hope for anything positive and save the Queen if you can't afford to see Bitcoin below $6,000
6292  Economy / Economics / Re: Toyota, Ford, and General Motors (GM) All Exploring Blockchain Technology on: July 13, 2018, 02:08:09 PM
It's old from  last year. But it's not going to change anything on the market, no matter if you're referring to the crypto market or the car industry market. The only thing is going to change is their profits and the optimization of the supply chain. Since it will help the firms to reduce the operating costs.
Don't worry, the cars won't be cheaper

Often times, business and investing are rampant with deceptive information. An entrepreneur and investor must be constantly vigilant and on guard against deceptive information. For example, many times a financial expert will tell you something and do the opposite. The person may go on television and say he love a stock and is buying it. This bit of information causes other people to buy the stock, driving the stock price up. Once the price is up, the person who recommended the stock sells and takes a huge profit. That's pump and dump. One starts wondering if Bitcoin is experiencing such activities?

Well, he is somehow right, you never know what can happen on Localbitcoin and you just got the proof yourself. It's not the first case I see where someone is suddenly locked in his account. They often say in support that their automated system flagged you for suspicious activities. But so far they never say what was the suspicious activity you performed on the site.
Good luck with their support :/
6295  Economy / Economics / Re: Solar Just Hit a Record Low Price In the U.S. (Cheaper Bitcoin Mining?) on: July 13, 2018, 10:51:07 AM
There is a very long time to wait before to see solar energy more adopted as it is now.
Quote
The large energy companies are not investing so much in it and the lobby is surely trying to slow down the development or trying to get the monopole. They're only the ones to be able to make a considerable investment. Cheapest energy doesn't mean selling it cheap too. Not to say some country are pro-nuclear energy
6296  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: France seizes France.com from man who’s had it since ‘94 on: July 13, 2018, 10:30:08 AM
"France" is also a brand name since few years, It's surely the reason he lost his domain name

How were they able to brand a name that someone else is already using?

*if we assume country names can be branded lol*

You can buy any brand name (but not LeGaulois  Grin ) It costs only 200€ in France. Also, the guy didn't own a brand but just a domain name.
There are 2 others websites hosted on the same server as france.com and both are related to tourism in France (1 in a Brazilian website and the second a Hungary) both a clone of each other and both owned by the same agency. It surely has been bought stolen with the same method. When the state wants something they get it soon or later no matter if you agree with
6297  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Has Anyone Used Estonian E-Residency to launch an ICO? on: July 13, 2018, 10:22:58 AM
the e-residency card itself doesn't cost so much. If I remember correctly the fee is €100. Then they do a background check on you. It must be a basic verification to know if you're not well know as a criminal or expert about fraud related to money.
I don't remember reading about another fee to pay to create your company
6298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan internal report: Bitcoin is here to stay on: July 13, 2018, 10:08:25 AM
i think this is mostly because they are looking to get into the scene themselves.  i remember reading that JPMorgan is actually looking into the blockchain technology and are going to implement it in their services to increase their security,...
this can be like the groundwork of that final goal. first they start showing a good face towards bitcoin but in reality they are interested in its technology to rip it off.

I remember JPMorgan created something like a coin. Auroracoin is the name or something like that but it's targetting finance institutions if I am correct. It clearly shows that they're interested in the blockchain technology itself and admit the top cryptocurrencies are here to stay.
Don't we say: If you can not beat them, join them?  Smiley

6300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / JPMorgan internal report: Bitcoin is here to stay on: July 12, 2018, 08:17:08 PM

JPMorganPMorgan has predicted that cryptocurrencies, such as Ripple, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, Dash, Litcoin, etc. are here to stay. The observation has been mentioned in an internal report of the American multinational investment bank and financial services company, headquartered in New York City.
The internal report fully contradicts the publicly-held opinions of the company related to cryptocurrency. Earlier in 2016, the company's CEO Jamie Dimon had called Bitcoin a "fraud," before being sued for his statement.
According to the JPMorgan internal report, the cryptocurrencies prices would continue to fluctuate and face volatility. The report seems to have quite a positive outlook towards blockchain, the technology behind cryptocurrency. It noted that blockchain appeared to have a promising future once the loopholes were fixed in the technology.

Investors would invest in it for decentralization, and they'd continue to thrive and evolve with the peer to peer networks and the nature of anonymity of virtual currencies, the report said.

Every crypto enthusiast is eagerly awaiting to see whether the company's public opinion on the issue also changes with time. The increased volatility and the current market scenario are making investors feel skeptical about the future of digital currencies. However, with a million dollar market cap most of the cryptocurrencies would not fail. That is why the majority of investors and crypto enthusiasts believe that cryptocurrencies are here to stay even if they remain stagnant for a while.

Most of the investors are holding digital currencies for a lengthy period. This could be the major reason behind investors not liquidating despite major plunge in crypto market. It is easy to support cryptocurrencies when the market is down and investors are backing it. We have to wait to see whether JPMorgan comes out in support of cryptocurrencies publicly in due course of time or not.

It doesn't happen a lot we see a news telling a bank is talking positively about the crypto market. Jamie Dimon is surely going to fire some guys for this report  Grin I wonder if he may change his mind and remove the ban regarding the purchases of cryptos with a credit card, and who knows why not starting to accept Bitcoin transactions....
