6241  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTCgrinders.com - bitcoin and crypto rewards site on: July 19, 2018, 06:39:55 PM
There is something that could be useful for both the site and its users. A comment system that users could use to write a feedback about the site they used. It could be to say how the site is or about the commission. You could reward some cents per review (for a verified sale/deposit) let's say $0.10. A user could post one review only per site.
Users can find new sites and based on the comment they may decide to use it. Since they are on btcgrinders they will join via the site (and so more leads for you)

Additionally if you're looking to add others cryptos, perhaps Ripple and Dogecoin?
6242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Courses that are Accredited? on: July 19, 2018, 05:17:06 PM
I was looking too for something like this. Besides the courses you find on Udemy and similar there isn't a lot of. I found Blockchain Council which has a blockchain expert certification and a Bitcoin expert certification. I was looking for feedbacks here but didn't get any. There is also cryptoconsortium with Bitcoin and ETH

"Official" is subjective since it's not something well know

The irony is Allied paying Brad Sherman who said Bitcoin is used for illegal activities. While the company itself had a problem years ago for illegal activities, for money laundering. Oh yeah, Bitcoin is disruptive, people have double standards?

And yet it continues being the biggest donator, this time because Bitcoin poses an obvious risk for these Allie Wallet scammers. It is insane how this is legal. I mean the guy is there live on TV talking on behalf of the US and the so called well being of the potential investors that would be interested in crypto and he is basically shilling a product being paid to do so, WHILE trashing a product that could be a very healthy competition against the product he is shilling. This is simply nuts, but then again, this is what politics are, just puppets for sale at the biggest bidder, using the excuse of the well being of the population in order to pump and dump stuff. Im sure there are some good politicians with good intentions out there, but unfortunately it seems the ones that end up at the highest positions somehow always end up bribed to pitch the obligatory corporate scam.

Yeah, I saw the page listing the funds received. Allied Wallet has been the highest donator. Unfortunately, propaganda is not punishable by law and today's society has been based on propaganda for decades. Politicians are no longer what they used to be, they are now the lobbys representatives

I think people who get paid in fiat are more likely to invest in Bitcoin long-term and not use it for daily transactions, because they already have debit and credit cards with cash back bonuses so it makes no sense to buy Bitcoin only to pay extra transaction fees for essentially the same thing. On the other hand people who acquire Bitcoin either through mining or doing odd jobs online etc. are probably going to spend some of their earnings for paying bills, buying stuff and so on. I would rather use my Visa and pay 0% transaction fees than spend Bitcoin and get screwed twice - once for buying Bitcoin and then for spending it. These taxes can add up quickly and you will lose money. And if Bitcoin goes down in value you will be royally screwed.
Let's see how much money we are going to lose by buying Bitcoin - bank fees for sending money to the exchange, exchange fees , transactions fees to get the coins out of the exchange, even more fees for sending money through our phone wallet for buying coffee. All this pain in the butt for what? No wonder the investors are 58% they are shrewd  Wink

Why not? There are cases you may want to pay in crypto. and not fiat. For example, you don't want your wife can figure out you have a premium membership in Pornhub. As the site accepts some cryptocurrencies like zencash, monero, etc you may prefer to pay with it. You may also want to use crypto. to get a better privacy. It's not about I pay with crypto because I want to be swag.
Paying with a card isn't free, there is a fee the shop pays. Imagine if you can pay 1% less if you use cash instead of your card? In my country, we even pay a fee when you use the card with the ATM machine (over $1) and with some banks if you don't use the card (for about $400 monthly) you pay an extra fee to the bank for each month (~$6)
People who are paid with Bitcoin do the opposite, they sell their bitcoins for fiat. Because, in 2018, we still can't pay the house/electricity/etc with cryptos.

For sending money from your bank account to an exchange is free (at least with a SEPA transfer). Yes, there is then the trading fee and the withdraw fee. But let's say you are paid $1,500 monthly, you pay 0.25% to trade and 0.0005BTC to withdraw
So 1500*0.25/100= $3.75 (trading cost)
0.0005BTC=$3.70 (to withdraw=
3.75+3.70= ~$7.50

Banking cost more than $7.50 monthly (in my country)

If you have a question, PM

It's forum, not Skype. Imagine if everyone sends a PM instead to comment

If you have an issue with other users trying to experiment with bitcoin then you shouldn't really be on this board.

Again, I don't need a directive from you, but if you have a problem with users asking questions then you shouldn't really be on this forum

I think you can agree that your question was extremely off topic can't you.
No, I asked a question about BTC Core + RPI

6247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Issues with raspberry pi and bitcoin core on: July 18, 2018, 05:20:44 PM
Bitcoin Core on RPI? Seriously?
 Huh

Should've made this self mod shouldn't I?

Use --with-incompatible-bdb as advised on ./configure. It will work just fine.

I will try that. I was going to do it before but wasn't sure if it'd damage anything in the process or render certain parts of the final program unusable.

Well, I am allowed to ask a question right? If it's not your taste to reply then don't, and yes make it self-moderated.. You don't have to give me directive here to allow me asking things or not

Understood?
6248  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What's the best cryptocurrency wallet that you can trust? on: July 18, 2018, 05:13:14 PM
I don't know if we can say it's the best but I trust my Ledger Nano. I have no reason to not to. Plus it's a Cocorico company so... I have never seen someone with his wallet "hacked" so far (without considering if a user didn't be careful with it) It depends on your needs to say what is your best wallet but no matter what are they, for sure the web-based wallets are the last one to use with the exchanges

6250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins SEPA scam? on: July 18, 2018, 04:37:43 PM
It could be just someone who is not able to use an exchange and fund his account with a SEPA transfer (probably because of its ID verification)
However it could be someone who will effectively send a SEPA transfer to you but will then contact his bank for an authorized transaction from his account (i.e. "I got hacked, it's not me who sent this transfer) Banks can reverse the payments in some cases, there is not a lot able to do it but once you find the method, people may abuse it.
If you're sure to be safe from a reversal then do it. Otherwise, don't take any unnecessary risk that could flag you as a bandit
6251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you remember not so long ago... on: July 18, 2018, 04:13:50 PM
If you are the type of person who buys Bitcoin and uses it as it should, (a currency) there is not really the best time to buy it. Because 1 bitcoin is equal to 1 bitcoin, no matter when you acquired it.
If it's for speculation, then when Bitcoin was at $400 people said it was too expensive, when it was at $5000 the same, when it was at $10000 they said Bitcoin is dead. I should have bookmarked their posts to show them when in the future they will say "Bitcoin to the moon!"
6252  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Bounces Back Above $6500 After BlackRock Creates Crypto Team on: July 18, 2018, 04:02:12 PM
To me, BlackRock seems more interested in the blockchain technology than the cryptocurrency itself. It may want to find a use case for their activity (maybe). Or it's interested in crypto but not on behalf of their customers but rather for the HF itself
Client is king. Last year banks have been bombarded with requests to invest in crypto on behalf of their clients, and I'm quite sure the same thing is happening here. It's nearly impossible to ignore.

Goldman Sachs has settled numerous crypto related trades on behalf of their clients, and it seems that JPMorgan has done the same thing. People want proper returns instead of the boring 2-3% annual returns.

Some had more luck with their timing than others, but there are enough clients that have done exceptionally well. There is a lot money waiting to enter, but not enough regulated platforms to utilize.

Yes, a client is king but the context is God. With all the regulations, warnings from banks and how popular is cryptocurrency for "frauds" I am sure most of them refused to trade on behalf of their clients. Not really that banks didn't want to but they sure don't want to be tied with some kind of money laundering like it happened already before. Here some banks even refused to complete your transfer when it was an outgoing payment going to an exchange. Years back Kraken bank accounts were even blacklisted here.

We will be happy to have 2%-3% rate here, 0.75% is already asking too much.

I don't think the major problem is about to have regulated exchanges but rather how to use cryptos (buying, storing, selling, etc...)
6253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The crypto capital in Europe? on: July 18, 2018, 03:05:11 PM
Between what they say and what they do there is a large difference. They set up a political roadmap and once they get the votes and a seat they quickly change their mind, it's like a national sport there. Additionally, the French President is a blockchain enthusiast, not a crypto one.
The economic minister is persuaded by the potential the blockchain tech. held for helping French startups to raise money (ICOs...)
So he is just interested because it can help to attract money in the country but to call it ICO, crowdfunding, loan, or selling your soul he doesn't care

6255  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT ] Scam " messicoin ( MSC)" - Fake team from stock image !!! on: July 17, 2018, 09:37:22 PM
I wonder why they're so dumb to use photos from free stock images websites and then think nobody will notice it. There is no need to make a reverse image to check.
And if they think they will be fine with removing the photos once exposed (which they usually do) then there is always the google cache to use (considering the site is indexed of course)
The next generation will use The Care Bears photos to represent the team
6256  Economy / Reputation / Re: OgNasty tagging me after I called him out on his trust abuse! on: July 17, 2018, 09:09:36 PM
He has left trust to people he dealt with. You don't really need to post a link for reference each time if, for example, you're commenting on the experience you have with a member here over the years, or if you're giving your opinion about a member and what you think about him/her ( I mean you can't post "good guy: link1 link 2 link3 link 4 link57, link 325...") You're giving an overview of what you think generally speaking, not a particular  post/topic.
The fact he has tagged you after you called him out to be a trust abuser, may be considered something rude in some cases, but fake accusations can bring rude repercussions for the wrongly accused person, online or IRL no matter
6257  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] ░ Godex.io - NEW EXCHANGER WITH FULL PRIVACY FEATURE ░ on: July 17, 2018, 08:54:01 PM
I am using it since Zencash has been added. I like the site itself and its user interface, the main reason I am using Godex.io is we don't need to sign up to create an account. I know very soon we will have Visa/Mastercard hence I wanted to ask: will we have a KYC/AML verification once Godex adds Visa/MC ?
6258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin jumps after report suggests BlackRock is getting serious about the crypt on: July 17, 2018, 06:13:35 PM
LOL Within 15-20 minutes the Bitcoin price increased by $400 or $500 What's going on? It's a long time since we saw such a move. We are at risk to make money now! If we get a new ATH within 72h I will tattoo the Bitcoin logo on my ass and my banker will need to kiss my ass!
6259  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Dont Waste Your Time With VirWoX on: July 17, 2018, 06:07:38 PM
Did you send them funds from some Paypal accounts? If yes then here is one of your problems. The accounts may need to be verified, making a new account as you say is not going to help. Anyone can see when a Paypal account has been registered, so if they are checking this and figure you created the account yesterday then no wonder why they reject your accounts
6260  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Bounces Back Above $6500 After BlackRock Creates Crypto Team on: July 17, 2018, 05:35:56 PM
The Bitcoin prices started to increase before this news, so I don't think it is the main reason. The ETF decision coming soon could be.
