6441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: June 26, 2018, 07:03:26 PM
the swing wallet requires a lot of resources, mine is using about 20%
6442  Economy / Economics / [Survey] Have you ever heard of cryptocurrency? on: June 26, 2018, 06:07:24 PM
It's a survey conducted by ING Bank and the respondents are from Europe, The U.S.A, and Austalia (15 countries in total ~15,000 respondents)
The results are not bad for the reputation of cryptocurrency. I mean, look, in Europe, 66% have heard of the technology, 25% indicated they expect to own cryptocurrency, 35% in Europe agree Bitcoin is the future of spending online.
To me, cryptocurrency is more mainstream than what we can think and hear. Sure, it's not yet in each house but it isn't bad as of now

6443  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nigerian traders on paxful demand phone number on: June 26, 2018, 05:02:15 PM
Probably in case the seller is using a bank account for money laundering or something else fraudulent? It's stupid since anyone can buy a cheap SIM card or get it for free or use services like Viber & Text Now.
But the fact the same thing is posted multiple times on Paxful is looking shady
6444  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2018 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites on: June 26, 2018, 04:20:25 PM
Hi,

I am not familiar with your list or website, but I presume it aims to promote reputable mixing services.

SmartMix.io is a scam.

A few days ago, I sent one blog webmaster undeniable proof that Smartmix.io is a scam.
The webmaster was quickly convinced that SmartMix.io was in fact a scam, pulled several articles that promoted Smartmix.io from their site and immediately published
the following scam alert:

https://www.cryptocoinupdates.com/scam-alert-smartmix-io-is-a-confirmed-scam/

If you are still unsure about Smartmix.io, I will gladly email you the evidence for your review so you can clean up your list.

My goal is to thoroughly expose Smartmix.io and completely bury the service.

Thanks.

Yes please, if you have an undeniable proof can you post it here for everyone to see? If it"s needed I will, of course, update the list and remove the site. Thanks
6445  Economy / Exchanges / Re: GDAX (coinbase) Froze 7-figure amount without explanation on: June 26, 2018, 01:47:46 PM
Well, Coinbase is horrible when it's time to get support and famous for this, so why do you want it to be different on GDAX Grin
Nowadays you often get faster support on social media than on the website itself. And this for a lot of domains like e-commerce, ISP/Phone, banks, etc.

6446  Other / Meta / Re: Fighting spam and spammers on: June 26, 2018, 11:45:19 AM
This has already been discussed hundreds of times. Once again is not going to make things better. Why open another topic instead of putting it in an already existing one. Monitoring the users in charge to run a campaign would mean checking their work and therefore checking the quality of the posts. In other words, it will be like doing their job

6447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin, the highest fall in the year 2018 on: June 26, 2018, 09:49:43 AM
It will surely come back once the Stellar correction, which started in 2017, will end. Yes, I am saying Stellar. As of now the market just needs some good news it will be a call for people and then Bitcoin can easily go back to what it was, or at least above the $10k.
All the people showing how they're pessimists is not really helping at all.

6449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Futures on: June 26, 2018, 08:37:34 AM
You guys have no idea what you are talking about and don't even bother to read the discussion.

You should google what are the Bitcoin futures, hint: it's not about the future of Bitcoin Huh Angry (Bitcoin Futures =/= the future of Bitcoin) Do you get it now?.
Bitcoin futures are contracts where both parties agree to buy and sell at the agreed-upon price no matter what is the actual price on the planned date

I am quoting 2 random posts but the majority of the discussion is filled with posts like this ones.

I see the future of bitcoin will be very expensive and bitcoin can be one solution to the future of the existing economy. so do not be afraid if it has a lot of bitcoin.

Bitcoin will grow stronger, in the future it will be an indispensable currency in the market today. It is almost parallel to the same market.

These are extremely low quality posts generate massive amounts of spam, drowning out any legitimate discussion these threads may posses.

I don't know if users are perma banned for breaking this rule but I wouldn't be surprised and agree with. Rules are not very strict (at least not enough in my opinion). Anyone with common sense and a decent behavior is safe from losing his account

Edit: sorry, I didn't see LoyceV edited his post

It's funny to see how neobanks are taking the market gradually and more when you know that the majority of neobanks are owned by big banks. They don't want to change their model but create a subdivision to adapt their activity to the demand.
And the second point is about the 38.5% of the panel who is not happy for not having a 24/24 support. Look like some people like to wake in the middle of the night to call their bank Cheesy
6453  Other / Meta / Re: Scam gate on: June 25, 2018, 04:06:20 PM
I have never received any "lottery scams" via my post office.

It's a famous method and was very popular 10-15 years back no matter the country. You could receive once per month and a lot of people failed in the trap. Usually senior people, unfortunately. Nowadays it's very less popular but instead, they call you at home directly, I received such calls sometimes 3 times per week. And when it wasn't a lottery it was because I won a dinner in a fancy restaurant
6454  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Fcbk, Google, and now Twitter? on: June 25, 2018, 03:13:19 PM
But they love money
Any ico is using twitter and facebook like a his advertising channel
I still see some ico's advertised in Google
All that ban is pure fiction
All that big companies make  money in fiat not in crypto

There is a difference between tweeting about an ICO/Crypto project and buying Twitter advertisements to promote the project. Twitter forbids advertisements campaign in their own ads platform, not people talking about any ICO or cryptocurrency.
The ban is not a fiction try to buy an advertisement campaign you will see it rejected.
6455  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin increase again? on: June 25, 2018, 12:27:06 PM
Now bitcoin price is increase. So check the market price every day. If need to sell the coin this right time to sell. Market price is increase. So people now try to sell the coin. Plan to work and sell the coin. People check the price day by day. So people know what time bitcoin price will be increase. So next week it will be go down. So use that time. It any time to down. Time is important of the bitcoin.

There is no need to check the Bitcoin price daily. Just place your order and wait to have it filled. And by checking the price daily doesn't make people know when it will increase. Based on what do you say the next week the price will go down. Sorry to be rude but your post doesn't make sense and your English is terrible.
6456  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason we pay taxes and why we should on: June 25, 2018, 10:57:50 AM
While some taxes make sense, considering Government needs to cover its cost as well, there are few taxes which I personally find destructive for the economy. I'm talking about consumption taxes and VAT..

I am happy to pay the taxes and more I have to pay more I am happy because it means I earn more. It also means I participate in the system for the country and it's a kind of morality. It is a bit like people who are not going to vote but are the first to complain about the politics of their country. I am just unhappy for example to pay the social taxes for the retirement and when it will be my turn pensions will no longer exist in my country
6457  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp charges hidden 25 dollars for international wire? on: June 25, 2018, 10:32:01 AM
~snip~

I do remember something between Coinbase and the IRS but I didn't pay attention because I am not in The U.S. It was something about the IRS asking to Coinbase to report some users with $xxxx traded and Coinbase was against it but I don't remember how it ended.

As for your problem with Gemini I would say never use a phone number like google voice, most websites don't accept such number, and even if you find one it can be a matter of time before they ban it, and it can bring you some problem later.

I haven't heard about Bitstamp reporting to the IRS but isn't BitPay allowing U.S. citizens as well?
6458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time for that Long? on: June 25, 2018, 10:01:45 AM
Logically this should be the bottom for bitcoin because we have already lost too much of the money through the market. This could be the bottom for one very important reasons, bitcoin's current market cap is sufficient enough to hold it at this point and thus we will have no more surges than this. For the time being crypto currencies are just creating their small resistance around currency prices as investors are not agreeing to get back into the crypto, the weak hands are still in state of shock and thus everything is stunned for now. As soon as market will see some good 15-20% spikes then people will re-enter and so as the market too.
This is why the bottom has already been reached according to my guess but no body knows whats kept ahead.

Because people are losing money doesn't make it the bottom. The market doesn't care if people are in lose or not, there is no correlation to it. With the current situation, Bitcoin could go easily below $5,000 and if that happens it's only a matter of time and could happen very soon, surely during this summer. To add to that, I don't remember the market being good during the summer.
6459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The anonymous structure of the blockchain technology encourages crime? on: June 25, 2018, 09:14:06 AM
The anonymous structure of the blockchain technology is a breeding ground for criminal activities life money laundering, drug trafficking?

No it doesn't. So far you can not buy your weed in the street with Bitcoin. Do you forget how currencies like the dollar, euros and almost all of them are used to operate illegal activities? Wanna compare the number of dollars used and the number of bitcoins used for this and compare. Crypto transactions are like babies compared to traditional currencies.
The same point if you want to focus only on the blockchain technology. It makes more good than bad
6460  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Selling BTC (discussion about site) on: June 24, 2018, 08:45:56 PM
Hey, I remember this website. I found it while searching to buy Bitcoin with a bank card. It isn't a new one it's online for 3 years maybe more. After visiting it I see the design was revamped. It had an ugly design before like the website from 2000-20005.
The only experience I have with them is their customer support and it was fair and good.
Unfortunately, I was not able to use their service because I needed to verify my account (KYC) and I couldn't
