The "real" source of the article, since you are just copy-pasting contents from others https://blog.coinbase.com/coinbase-custody-is-officially-open-for-business-182c297d65d
Look like you are only interested to spam this forum with your cheap site, all your posts are just a pure spam, no conversation or interaction with others
6402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies Can Never Replace Fiat – Says EU report on: July 02, 2018, 04:16:58 PM
If citizens want to use Bitcoin, the European Parliament is out of line. They cannot decide what the people want, they cannot force people not to use the crypto. Bitcoin was created to be free of all institutions, including them. In other words, their opinion is not necessary, it is up to them to follow the trend the citizens are concerned.
Bitcoin is still in its early stage, they can't know the future and guess its developement
6403  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2018 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites on: July 01, 2018, 08:03:09 PM
I have a problem with adding ratings:

- Chipmixer is my favorite mixer
- I have my signature space promoting Chipmixer
- I often promote the service on Twitter.

I am not sure to be able to rate the services without to be biased. That's why I didn't when I created the topic. I would rather prefer to post the ANN thread and to let users read the discussion to make their due diligence. This is the best rating they can get.
6404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin go under FBI investgation on: July 01, 2018, 07:43:52 PM
The 130 cases are probably about deep web activities or about some big fishes irl. Nothing bad about this. If they do it with fiat what could be wrong to make it with digital currencies as well. We are safe from getting monitored by the FBI as an average Joe.
I can see that privacy-centric cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin mixers have a bright future Cheesy
6405  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Austin City Hopes Blockchain Helps to End Homelessness on: July 01, 2018, 07:07:35 PM
Excuse me but anyone who lost his identification documents just needs to go to the town hall or something to request a new one. What is the use of the blockchain technology here? If it's really to help to protect the identity of the homelessness why not using for the non-homeless people as well? Is it impossible to lose your ID paper when you have a house?

Don't you think this city is just interested to keep track of the homeless for records and to follow their activity/itinerancy? It was the first thing coming to my mind while reading the topic title.

because we consider it unethical especially if you like to build an authority news site on which the community here can rely on.

There are authority news websites that promote scams and they're fine, now crypto advertisements are banned but back in the days a lot of them were popping up, and as far as I know, you can not filter your banner ads to choose what to display to your readers.

You could try another PPC network, there are many around, you could display 1 PPC on the top and 1 CPM on the bottom. Of course, it won't sure all the costs but it still participate, everything is good to take.

You could try to advertise some referral links to sites where users can earn free coins, I am thinking about GPT websites
6407  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I forked Etherdelta, now I got my own DEX 😬 who wants free listing??? on: July 01, 2018, 05:59:34 PM
I am not able to see your website, look like you have a hosting downtime or DNS issue. Following @kevoh you should change some things here and there to not look like Etherdelta otherwise people could consider it as a fake website. If you want to promote your website you should change the UI. I am not good but if you can change the colors and things like that.
6408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 99% OF ALL ICO'S ARE SCAM on: July 01, 2018, 05:43:01 PM
Welcome one ICO world. Not only 99% are scams but I remember reading a statistic saying ICO last in average 1,5 years. It would be great if people stop to tie ICOs with cryptocurrencies because it damages the crypto world. They just use the "crypto" name to build their scam. Most have no real product, not something new
6409  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin's price depresses you. This is not a speculation topic on: June 30, 2018, 08:18:45 PM
Anyone remember when the price failed from $1,000 to $ 250? Smiley It was like the end of the world. Many people sold at lost and then left the market but they were wrong. 2018 we are seeing the same scenario with the bitcoin price losing about 60 %
6410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who believes in HODLING? on: June 30, 2018, 07:58:13 PM
I am holding bitcoin since 2013 or 2014 so I think I can say I believe in "holding" The only altcoin I am holding is zencash since I am on for the long-term. Other than that I usually don't hold any altcoin very long, usually just a few days
6411  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: If bitcoin gets mass adopted, must we use our mobiles to buy? on: June 30, 2018, 07:11:45 PM
There are 2 hardware wallets for mobile only. You can also think about payment cards with Bitcoin. I am talking about a pure card that can be used with Bitcoin only. Not like the cards, we have where you send bitcoins to their wallet and then it gets converted to fiat.  (like advcash, etc)
@bitbunnny Isn't Mycelium outdated, I thought nobody used it anymore.
6412  Economy / Economics / Re: The money started coming back to the cryptocurrency market on: June 30, 2018, 06:37:24 PM
@OP
Don't be happy so fast, it's less than 24 hours. You could be surprised what can happen in the crypto world. I would prefer to see the trend for over a week to say, yes the money is coming back. Because today the market can increase by 10% yes sure, but tomorrow the market can crash by 30% in a matter of hours.
6413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS THIS HIM or HER: Satoshi Nakamoto??? on: June 30, 2018, 06:22:41 PM
Everything he says in the pdf everyone knows that. It's all over the web for years. To me, it seems someone is again trying to be Satoshi, a Craig v2.0. I am not going to believe it is Satoshi, he should give more persuasive proofs. And I am interested to know what the imposter wants to do. Satoshi has no reason to come back

I kept reading you to see everything and now removed it from the list

6415  Economy / Economics / Re: CME BTC Futures and its implication in BTC price on: June 29, 2018, 08:33:04 PM
I agree with you LeGaulois. People who are buying these futures are loosing all the technological advatages that BTC offers, bad thing to BTC. I dont like the idea of trading futures like this on BTC, i cant imagine now any good thing that this could bring to BTC.

Last time I asked myself what would happen if Bitcoin had a fixed price from the beginning? Certainly not any speculation and only people interested in Bitcoin for what it can bring. Those who label Bitcoin as an investment are destroying Bitcoin. This is all that people hear in the media (and here too) "investment in bitcoin" "bitcoin crash", "Bitcoin trading" etc. People are only hearing and learning about Bitcoin (and cryptos) as a speculative asset

Chinese private cybersecurity firm Slowmist just confirmed the double-spending vulnerability in Tether.

According to CryptoMedication, the double-spend vulnerability carries serious implications as “it is possible that this could have been exploited ad infinitum.” CryptoMedication adds that it “seems to be an exchange problem… more so than a Tether issue…”

6417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: vitalik in conflict with craig wright and vechain over patent on: June 29, 2018, 08:05:58 PM
seems craig wright and vechain wanted to use a legal system to basically illegalise usage of wheels, in the european union and usa

vitalik is in conflict with them

https://coingape.com/vitalik-challenges-nchains-new-patent-threatens-legal-battle/?utm_source=notification&utm_medium=push-notification

what do you guys think about patents in cryptocurrencies.

regards

I don't have any problem with patents in cryptocurrencies. Not all projects can be open source. As long the creator is the owner of the patent and not someone who decided to deposit a patent for the work of someone else...
6418  Other / Meta / Re: Does Google re-index edited threads? on: June 29, 2018, 07:03:07 PM
It doesn't work like this. Google bots don't crawl URL daily, it depends on what happens usually in this URL and the frequency. If you edited a post from 2016 don't hope to see Google bots crawling the post anytime soon (unless something happened in the discussion otherwise you can wait more than a fresh URL
6419  Economy / Economics / Re: CME BTC Futures and its implication in BTC price on: June 29, 2018, 05:15:28 PM
Hi everyone:

Some months ago the CME approved the futures on BTC. This is to me quite astonishing news, futures are nowadays mostly used for especulation.

http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/equity-index/us-index/bitcoin_quotes_globex.html

At the beginning i was a little bit worry about people trying to dump the price, at this time it doesnt seem to be case (yet).

I would like to ask you why do you think CME decided to approve the BTC as underlying on futures, ¿What do you think has CME (US...) in mind?

Thanks.

Bitcoin started to crash the same day the CME approved Bitcoin Futures. Check out a graph, everything started from this point. And I am pretty sure the decline we are seeing these weeks are due to the contracts ending this week
Are the contracts good or bad, I don't know, but I think it makes people considering Bitcoin more as an investment rather than a currency (and its advantages)
6420  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Pirate Bay warning: internet provider forced to hand over names on: June 29, 2018, 05:01:56 PM
It will have no effect on crypto dark web markets. It's not the first country to do this. Mine is doing it for years with all ISP. It's not a "first catch first punishment" You need to go evil on it. In my country the first time you get a warning (you receive a letter) the second time you receive another letter, the third time they shut down your internet connection for 3 months, and maybe something like 150$ to pay. People who are fans of downloading copyrighted material are already using other methods since.
Do you want to say that ISP are forced to track what their customers are downloading and later inform (and punish) if needed? If yes, I don't think that ISP are seriously interested to do that. People who are using torrents a lot is important customers of ISP because they are using expensive fast internet plans.
I heard plans to make something similar in my country, but all ISP are against that. So, now institutions now are trying to block illegal websites instead of punishing users. But it's not hard to bypass these blocks. It's just enough to change DNS settings orfind alternatice domain of website.

Yes, I mean that. All ISP have to track the customers for a possible illegal download, (of course, it's automated there isn't someone 24/7 watching a screen) We're not punished from the ISP but by the government. The ISP snitch you to the govt. then the govt. send you a letter with what you downloaded illegally. (url, name file, date,...) As it is the law ISP have no choice to do it. Here all the internet connection are the same and there is no data cap here, everything is illimited
