In relation to reports, @theymos could we get some statistics on how many reports are made a day, and how many of them are bad/good reports? It would be interesting to know how many reports the staff are having to deal with on a day to day basis.

They are still actively working on the project and responding to any suggestions from the community from time to time. Have you worked on a forum the size and scale of epochtalk? Especially the security side of things, that cannot be rushed.
theymos is very likely to be involved heavily and communicating with the developers daily and if he expected anything then he would likely let the Bitcointalk community know as he has done in the past with other issues.

Probably just need to wait until Charles99/Charles999 come online and respond to your message that you sent. Unless, someone knows the user personally there's nothing else you can do other than wait.
I wish you the best of luck in getting your refund. If the user refunded others that were involved then I can't see a reason why they wouldn't be willing to refund you now. Unless, it was a large amount and they have already moved the coins on.

In theory. But, these discussions don't happen anymore. The board doesn't have a dedicated moderator, so maybe theymos would be willing to add one to clear up the mess. We all know that the politics and society has been a mess for awhile. Hilariousandco has mentioned it a few times in the past.

Accuracy? Try reporting threads in Politics and Society.(One of my Favorite Areas of the forum) Your Accuracy will drop to shit......watch as the threads remain even though they are shit and have nothing to do with the topic. I have reported so many only to be ignored and watch my accuracy drop. That Area has become off topic and i don't visit it anymore. So sad. Piss poor Moderating in that section that's for sure.
I don't spend any time in the politics and society board anymore. Most of the things which need to be discussed have already been discussed throughly and any major events that need to be discussed I will read at other sites. Spam is spam at the end of the day and should be easily identifiable most of the time. Taking a look at someones post history and including a note in the report field can sometimes help if they are posting the same thing over and over. Although, I agree some sections are easy than others for example, most of my reports these days are from the altcoin section and it's very easy to keep your percentage up when there's hundreds of posts which consist of the same spam. Though, it's still painful to sort through and report them all. What's your accuracy? Anything over 60% is considered good AFAIK. I'm fairly new to the community You have reported 28 posts with 100% accuracy But I'm giving smerit and reporting posts on a daily basis, trying to keep an eye on the newbies in the Beginners and Help section, and learn new things in the meantime. Good job!

Regardless of whether this is true or not it would be wise for anyone to change their credentials even at the slightest risk of this being true. Also, if this is true then expect your email to get phishing links and all sorts of spam.
Also, remove any coins you have stored on the exchange.

Yes, sign one of those addresses. You can read a guide here on how to do that: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0That covers most wallets that people use, but if you have another wallet let us know which one it is and we'll seen if we can help you. Exchange wallets or online wallets may not have a way to sign an address.

The only board I don't report is my local board, it's not moderated at all, the guy doesn't care much (he post once per month or less, last time was to say oh I see the merits system ) He only waits the members to report and as no one report, no one moderate (members got tired to report for nothing and seeing the guy is inactive) To give you an exemple, you go to the dev section and you find a topic about how to find a bounty campaign LOL. Bitcoin section is mixed with altcoin, members introduction and so on... We can't always put the spoon in the mouth if he doesn't make an effort Should either speak to him about it, or contact theymos. If there's enough spam to justify moderation then you'll need an active moderator to deal with it. I'm sure theymos will check whether the mods 1. active 2. if the thread needs either another mod, or replace the current one. 576 posts with 99% accuracy Hard to reach the 100%, sorry Mods if sometimes I waste your time With a report accuracy at 99% you certainly aren't wasting anyones time.

This would probably get more attention if you posted it in one of the alternate account megathreads. Those guys work very hard to research each one and make sure that the accounts are 100% connected before leaving the appropriate feedback. Here's the latest: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.0

20202 posts with 100% accuracy Although, it isn't 100% accurate, rather it's rounded up. It would be nice if something could be implemented to show this sort of stat permanently to the public as it seems there's enough interest in it to justify it. Also I asked Lutpin recently if he ever won the race to 20k with Shorena but, he hadn't reached it yet. Seems Shorena wasn't active for a few months too, but he may have reached it.

https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-walletIf you have the private keys you can download Electrum from the above link which doesn't require downloading the whole blockchain, and you can then import your private keys into electrum. You could also use another wallet on the link which supports wallet.dat format and copy your wallet.dat there and you would avoid the fees that way. @ranochigo Thanks, I made a few mistakes there...

Posting the debug is the only way we would be able to identify the problem. Although, a common reason for not being able to connect to peers is that your firewall is blocking the connections. Check your firewall system and any other similar processes which can block incoming/outgoing connections.

I want create script and use blockchain node API and create "little" online/offline game Thanks for answers. I will try get few lessons "Python coding" and after will make choose. You could tie into that via Python. I would imagine that there's several APIs out there which support the blockchain and Python. Bitcoin is written in c++ but, isn't one of the easiest languages to learn as it's quite awkward in certain areas.

Include the username in your post and maybe a moderator can explain to you why you've been banned. It's considered ban evading if you post outside Meta with another account. Could potentially be why you've continued to get banned. Though, it's probably because your breaking the rules over and over again.
Do you participate in airdrops by any chance?

Unless you own the private key and have access to it then no exchange is good for holding Bitcoin, and claiming forks. This is good practice anyway, always be in control of the private key. Only use exchanges for holding coins for a very short time. I only ever use exchanges when I want to exchange that day.

Python is considered simple by nature and is a little easier to pick up than some programming languages which require a little bit more work to get things to work but, I believe you can learn more from actually running into more problems and figuring them out. The easy way isn't always the most beneficial.

It will only be changed if it actually requires changing, likely tweaking some of the the ways/amounts that users can distribute depending on how the sources are coping and identifying good quality posts. The system might not be perfect but, seems to be better than any other system that was implemented before.

After you've reported a post it will go in a queue where all the moderators that have rights to act upon it will be able to see it. They can either mark it as good, bad or handled. Depending on the section and the rank of the account usually dictates how long it takes to get dealt with. Mods might get email notifications when you've reported a post they can act upon if this is turned on.
The time restrictions that you are running into is related to activity, and will decrease over time. Although, I still run into them from time to time and my restriction is only 4 seconds.

@Avirunes Nice one, I'll take a look at it in more depth tomorrow when I've got a little more time. The next update to this list will likely be this Sunday which you can expect around 100 more users added depending on how many are duplicates etc.
I've also been in contact with mprep and mods are allowed to act upon archive evidence. He also suggested that keeping the list here on the forum would probably be best from a reporting/moderation point of view. I may still go the spreadsheet route as well as maintaining a list here. I'll likely tidy it up a little once there's more than 500 entries and put it in code tags.
I've fallen behind in a lot of my work this week, so I'll make sure to knuckle down and get this update out Sunday. (Welsh vs English rugby game might extend this deadline though)

My understanding is that there's currently a huge backlog of accounts which need to be recovered as there's a lot of them waiting several months for their account to be recovered. It'll likely be just as long for you. Check out the other threads in meta and you might get some sort of estimation by the accounts which have been recovered.
