Ken,

Can you verify what U.S. Bitfunder users need to do to be sure that their shares preserved?  Do we need to be sure our public bitcoin address is one where we can sign?  For example, a non-CoinBase address?

Yes, you need to have a public Bitcoin address that you can sign, so that we can verify the number of shares you own from the Bitfunder Asset List.

If I run my wallet on my local machine, is that not good enough? I have shares currently on bitfunder, US customer.

It is scary when you have people in here investing in super risky mining securities who don't really have a grasp of how the blockchain and bitcoin protocol works in general.

maybe he only has 25 dollars worth of shares, in which case I don't see what's wrong with investing in something you don't completely understand

Patience, old dogs... teach don't spurn.

It's all part of the learning process.

The more using Bitcoin, the merrier.

Thanks for the quick reply Ken!

To everybody else:  Anybody have a favorite wallet they use that has signing capabilities?  I'd prefer something online as opposed to a paper wallet.  Something easy to use.

sign with any of these although I prefer Bitcoin-Qt: Choose your Bitcoin wallet

interesting update from asicminer...

Quick Update

The original vague range of October 20s is now made accurate at October 27th, when the projected publication of financial reports. This time it will be more detailed and informative than the last time's.

Upcoming scheduled to be happening (in time order):

Imminent repricing according to the market and the quantity.
Immersion cooling exhibition.
Payment system out of pre-alpha.
Blockchain-based exchange out of pre-alpha (whether to migrate whole ASICMiner database is still a serious debating topic).

this thread has me breaking out the popcorn...  Cheesy

The NDA does not take into account the time sensitive nature of exponential difficulty increases. NDA or not the point is if we're not on time, you may as well consider these machines glorified calculators.

We need calc-u-nows... Not calc-u-laters. (Okay okay, I know, that was bad.)

The only whining I see in this thread are the long winded, drawn out, multiple paragraph and apparently expert analysees from the people admonishing those whom are asking a simple question.
592  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 20, 2013, 03:27:20 PM
Oddly, from where im sitting, i think Ken could have trumped crumbs, on the FUDster scale.

Also, does silence count as FUD?

This.

I am not being paid by a competitor, as I am one of the top 30 investors I want this company to succeed.

I want to know if there are delays in the chips, how much dividends will the sample chips provide and so on. Ken ignores all questions about the ASIC processors.

simple questions. Not too much whining really. Pretty matter of fact.

I DIG how all these noobs in here with join dates like July 2013 are so experienced with "manning up" about bitcoin related securities.

really puts the C in confidence...

It doesn't matter when I started posting. For you to look at that as in indicator in your confidence shows that you pay attention to all the wrong things. You can't whine, bitch, and moan when you don't get your way after you invested in a fortune 500 company. Why do you think this is any different? Because you used your precious bitcoin, it entitles you to constant updates from the CEO? Get out of here.

Yeah good one. You really nailed it. Thanks for manning us up.

Unfortunately we don't have the luxury of time that most ventures have. Clock is ticking and everyday that goes by means another exponential inch of increase in difficulty. If we're not mining soon, like in the next three weeks (fat chance) then really what exactly are we doing? Starting a new illegal stock exchange?
597  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 19, 2013, 07:52:21 PM
knybe has demonstrated his venomous side today whereas previously he just sounded like an immature kid whose rants suggested he felt the world owes him something.  I'm not entirely convinced he didn't edit the alleged PM from Ken as it's very simple to do.

Ken hasn't been online to defend himself.  A good indicator of that is if you see any posts from crumble that have still to be deleted.

Just stop already. You have no context and due to your vast ability to drone on and on about nothing; are now thoroughly ignored.

Please do me the favor of doing likewise.
598  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 19, 2013, 07:19:35 PM
Maybe he doesn't want to say something and then those expectations not be met.
This seems like the most likely reason to me. I think he would rather surprise us with good news than give us deadlines that he can't guarantee.

PM I just received:

Sorry that you are leaving, I wish I could too, but I have a lot of responsibility to all the shareholder that are staying.

"When the going gets tough, the tough get going"

So, that is what I am doing.

"I wish I could too?" wtf does that mean?

What was your original PM, leaving what?

My rant a few posts back I say I am going to leave due to lack of communication.

This is what he then "communicates" to me via PM.

I've never PM'd the guy.
