Have I missed any update on our klondikes? Last I recall the chips were delivered to Steamboat. Has there been any progress on that front?

I would also be very interested in hearing about our main project progress and would support ANY information (even if it's just tangentially related, such as our springfield underground data center being fully outfitted and ready just needing our miners to be plugged in).

interesting update from asicminer...

Quick Update

The original vague range of October 20s is now made accurate at October 27th, when the projected publication of financial reports. This time it will be more detailed and informative than the last time's.

Upcoming scheduled to be happening (in time order):

Imminent repricing according to the market and the quantity.
Immersion cooling exhibition.
Payment system out of pre-alpha.
Blockchain-based exchange out of pre-alpha (whether to migrate whole ASICMiner database is still a serious debating topic).

Ooo... this sounds like colored coins based exchanges are on the fast track to release now. Very good news.

Hi Ken,

Are there any words you can offer to help quell the frustrations of shareholders at present?

If you are able to share anything regarding our progress without revealing commercially sensitive information or breaking the NDA, it would go a long way in restoring confidence.

I'm sure you are aware of the loyalty that these guys have shown and the belief the majority still have in you, and would ask that you give this request serious consideration.

Here's a couple of things to consider.

1)  Do you have any timelines you can share regarding the chips?
2)  Is there anything you can say about how the development/production process is progressing?
3)  Can you explain why you are so confident that the exponential rise in difficulty is not going to end this companies ambitions to create a profitable mining farm.

Cheers,

zumzero

Yes, I see the frustration; however, we are in a very competitive environment so I have to be very careful of what I say.  I am sure our competitors are reading this thread.  I read theirs some when I have time.

This is good enough for me.  I sit back and I wait.  It's will be November in next to no time.  Smiley

If ASICMINER makes a really good exchange that can also allow for multiple securities then I suggest that Ken considers this exchange to move to. Especially if it solves the US taking over the world problem.

Why? Having multiple exchanges is a good thing for the marketplace. Ken said the ActM Exchange is almost finished to be able to store shares without a colored coins implementation for the time being. ASICMINER is still nowhere near having colored coins done -- they moved out of PRE-ALPHA stage. That likely means there are several months of development until a full release.

And where is the difference between an non colored coins ActM Exchange and Bitfunder?

US investors can store their shares there. On Bitfunder they are gone on November 1. Bitfunder has no plans to use colored coins for transactions, but ActM does.

Yes sure, but how long until it goes with the non colored coins ActM Exchange like with btctc.co and bitfunder?
As it sounds is AM already developing their Exchange in an early version with colored coins while Ken only has plans to do so and is still working on a version without colored coins - so its the same as all the other existing exchanges out there.

U know what will happen with shareholder and customer confidence, if we transfer our shares to the new non colored coins exchange and 2-3 weeks later the same or similar happens like with btctc and bitfunder?

Unfortunately that's what we're working with. Ken is aware of that issue just as much as anyone else. It's just a matter of time before the same problem happens, but you've got to admit that bitfunder and btct were the big dogs, easier to find. Ken's just buying some more time, that's all that can be done. He's ambitiously working on a more viable alternative, whether it's color coins or ripple based.

If the transfer of shares is going to scare you, you might want to sell. If not, with the rise of BTC value, the mining ROI is increasing which can only help ACTM.

Just to be clear, it is NOT ripple based. Ken has stated that it is based on a colored coins implementation.

Source:

Working on our Colored Coins Program.

We will be using our own technology to keep track of the last sale price, bids and ask.  The colored coins will only be used to store the assets.

...
We will be trying to use a lot of the technology in our new site in our colored coins development.  We expect that our colored coins development will generate additional revenue for ActiveMining.

Savvy?

It is time.

Will Tuesdays report encompass sales thus far into October as well or just September? Also, at what point do you pull the trigger and order the first batch of chips?

Thanks!

We will be reporting 3rd quarter sales.  As soon as we know the prototypes work.

No. That was a response to the question "at what point do you pull the trigger and order the first batch of chips?"; to which his response was WHEN he knows the prototypes work, that's when the first batch will be ordered.

Ken,

Can you verify what U.S. Bitfunder users need to do to be sure that their shares preserved?  Do we need to be sure our public bitcoin address is one where we can sign?  For example, a non-CoinBase address?

Yes, you need to have a public Bitcoin address that you can sign, so that we can verify the number of shares you own from the Bitfunder Asset List.
