61  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Which crypto exchange do you think has the best referral program? on: May 12, 2024, 08:47:01 PM
I don't think many of us here are into referral programs of these exchanges. Yeah, they're still additional money and we all love extra income from not doing so much. And with this program, the ones that are earning a lot are the influencers and real traders that have a bigger ratio of wins than of losses. What they do is they spread their referral links to their contents and most of the exchanges there, binance, kucoin, etc. So, since I am not really into it. I guess that as long as they're offering some decent percentage, anyone can be into it without a question as you've said from the beginning. As long as it gives free crypto after doing some efforts, that's where they're going to be.
62  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nearly All FTX Creditors Will Get 118% of Their Funds Back in Cash on: May 11, 2024, 10:16:10 PM
To be honest, it doesn't matter whether they'd add interest to the refund. What matters is that they give the whole refund and everything that's added is a bonus for the trouble that they've caused. What the victims need is assurance that they're going to get their money back no matter what and since it's already in the court, the next thing is hopefully that the refund process won't take long so that the victims will get their money back because it is rightful theirs and they deserve to have it again.
The good thing is that the company has agreed to refund affected customers. These FTX investors are fortunate because many victims of the fall of centralised crypto service providers didn't get their money back. According to reports they are just waiting for the court order for them to start the process of implementation. I also hope they get back their money because many people had plans for it, and most of these plans were abandoned due to bankruptcy. It took many years for Mt Gox victims to get back their funds, I am just hoping that it will take less time for these refunds to happen.
Absolutely, these people are fortunate compared to the disasters that have happened in some exchanges in the past. It took them years of on and off battle to the court until they've been refunded. As long as the many will be refunded to them, that's all that matters because it's a must thing to do by the new management or whoever is taking care of the situation right now. I guess that whoever is behind with all of this will be the ones that shall gain the trust of the people once again but not longer with the same company.
63  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I have lots of BTC to sell on: May 11, 2024, 01:50:06 PM
Hi I have lot of BTC to sell.

Can any experienced people guide me?
Thanks
Why you need a guide when you are saying that you've got more than us? Someone who's got tons of BTC are likely early adopters that should be the guide and not to be guided.

Also, I forgot to mention this but is there any platform which provided over 10% APR on BTC deposits?
The platform I currently use does only 10%.
Nice try but that's not going to work here. It's a typical strategy of the other too that making themselves innocent and trying to start a conversation but the main point is to show us your own platform.
64  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake website on: May 11, 2024, 11:14:39 AM
Bitcoin investment has been so good to people, but to some they got scammed because they invest in a wrong platform, and now with the way things are going scammer are alway busy creating fake website to scam people
And that's why this great community is helping each other and giving advisories to the potential scams that we're seeing. Once you've grown your way here and gained enough knowledge, you'll start to have your own factors in determining potential scams too. As a return, you'd be helping others in spotting those likely scam platforms and schemes. A shortcut? you can always see people that are not familiar with the websites they discover ask here.

My question is that how can someone dictate a fake website? because is getting too much, is there anyway the comonas need to know things like this if there is any.
With all of the tips, you have to remember the most common ones. One of it is looking some small details if the website is professionally made and not, which means that if it doesn't look professional then it's already a red flag. But, don't be too confident about the professionally made because they're likely the ones that aren't noticed by most folks. Looking at the details as they've said through simple search through search engines will show you results. And best way if you're going to buy Bitcoin, do it on most common exchanges.
65  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dips are temporary but Bitcoin is forever. on: May 11, 2024, 08:18:32 AM
There are many scenarios that have proved that many investors have been looking to certain lower prices when Bitcoin is soaring. But little did they know, when they have actually witnessed that price action and the dip has come, they're not going to do anything because another mindset from them is there should be another dip of this dip. The meme on this thought is about "buying the dip with another dip or dipper or dippidity".  Cheesy
If they don't act soon, they might miss out on buying Bitcoin. However, with current conditions, it looks like the correction will continue. The red candle is still in the market and affects other coins.

Buying during the DIP is good advice, but be careful when determining the purchase price. Another suggestion is to try to divide the purchase into several orders. This is to avoid another decline like the one we are seeing now.

By having multiple purchase orders, we can earn more Bitcoins. We can also lower the average purchase price so that when the price increases, we can see temporary profits.
The market is currently uncertain or we should say that it's always been uncertain and unpredictable. But those that have always been regretful that they've never able to buy because they consider the current price to be high, they need to rethink their actions. They've always been like that and will never do anything to make themselves capitalize of the situation. And I think that even we see a plunge up to $20k-$40k price ranges, they'd set another example of when they're going to buy and like $5k-$10. That's always been the case for many investors that are waiting for the bottom, they want to buy in the bottom of another bottom.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? on: May 11, 2024, 06:44:51 AM
I see that current youth is inspired by celebrities and influencers in big way. Did you also start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ?
Nope, I haven't seen during that time that there's a celebrity that have influenced the community to invest. Even a common guy won't even able to convince someone to invest in Bitcoin in the past.

Or you know people who belong to that category ?
I know people that can be influenced easily by these celebrities if they promote something even if it means a scam to them.

Is it a wise decision to do so or we should do our own research for better results ?
We have to DYOR. We earn our money but we don't have to be dependent to these celebrities. They're being hired to advertise and that's why they'd say good things about what they promote, related to bitcoin or not.
67  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dips are temporary but Bitcoin is forever. on: May 10, 2024, 11:34:33 PM
But, hey, Bitcoin doesn't stay forever, too.
Although for now, it's here to stay.

Buying Bitcoin during the DIP is a good decision because it is a low price that will rise over time. However, not many people take advantage of that opportunity because they think the price will drop again. When they think like that and don't decide to buy it, they will miss out on buying in DIP.
There are many scenarios that have proved that many investors have been looking to certain lower prices when Bitcoin is soaring. But little did they know, when they have actually witnessed that price action and the dip has come, they're not going to do anything because another mindset from them is there should be another dip of this dip. 68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 190K in 2024? on: May 10, 2024, 08:14:51 PM
I was even thinking of lower than that as the peak so, it's too much for me to be honest but I'd love to get there and have a few in hold and will have my sweet profits when it happens this year.

History can still repeat itself or not at all, even in history we have seen new ATHs before the halving.
Many are convinced that it's not gonna happen anymore. We'll gonna have a little multiplier this time because if the basing will be from the past ATHs then we'd get to see fewer multipliers for Bitcoin as the bull run comes again.

Precisely before the 2024 halving, we have seen bitcoin hit a new ATH which has never happened in bitcoin history before the halving.
Exactly, and as with those patterns that each cycle the increase decreases, as this is something new who knows if something new happens again pertaining the price of BTC.
69  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should Threads Be Locked After Satisfactory Responses? on: May 10, 2024, 06:17:36 PM
They be should be locked by the OP if the responses are already enough for him. If not yet and you as another memberr that thinks that it should be locked then you can use the report button and report it to the moderators for them to lock it. But for some instances those that can be locked where for the actual question of OP can be helpful to the other members too, they can just leave it open. So, for this, it's subjective but you can have a genuine thought about those that needs to be locked and have served their purpose.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your top mistakes in crypto - learning from others experiences! on: May 10, 2024, 04:33:22 PM
1. The importance of having your own hardware wallet. Most newbies believe that exchanges are safe, let's say that they do but not for keeping your assets.
2. If you are an investor, you need to be patient at all times and this comes about the importance of DYOR before you invest.
3. There is no other people to blame with our mistakes but ourselves.
4. Even in crypto, there is no easy money.
5. Don't believe about too good to be true investment schemes.

72  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project? on: May 09, 2024, 10:05:15 PM
We can't stop them if someone told them that the biggest possible gains are through investing into the new projects.
The problem most newbies are always having is that they are not always introduced to crypto by the right set of people. Most of them just get brainwashed by people they meet on social media. They will push them to invest in some new crypto, and they will be promised a very high reward. Since they lack knowledge, they will want to follow what their mentor instructed them to do. They won’t have a choice but to invest in those coins, but most of them do end up losing money.
That's true but we can't help with that anymore. What will teach them a valuable lesson is going to be the roller coaster ride that they'll have through investing into those kind of projects. Suddenly, the realization will hit them hardly and that's how it is going to be. First things first, is the thought about investing in crypto is becoming rich overnight. That will not be gone as well and so as the newbies thought of that with their mindset, they're more prone to these tricks that are being taken as an advantage of the wrong people.

I never encouraged anyone to invest in new projects, whether they are new to the crypto space or have been in crypto for a long period of time. I do encourage people to avoid new projects, because most of the new projects entering the crypto space are scam. Some are so real that you will never think they are going to scam, but at the end you are going to lose. If you want to invest, then invest in bitcoin or strong alt coins.
Actually, it's interesting to see real people gain a lot from investing into those because that's their style of marketing. To show that investors have earned from investing into their projects and the feeling and emotion of FOMO will start from there. And if you're new to the market, you'd feel that and there's the obligation that you should do it asap and that's where many newbies fall for that trap.
73  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project? on: May 09, 2024, 08:51:51 PM
We can't stop them if someone told them that the biggest possible gains are through investing into the new projects. Just check out different crypto communities and you'd see a lot of shills telling their new projects to the newbies. Out of the many that are into those groups, how many are likely to invest on it without having someone to consult? This is the scene that many of the newbies are silently buying those new tokens with the thought of speculating greater gains. While we don't recommend them to buy it and only stick with the ones that have been existing for so long, we don't get a hold of their minds and they'd still do the opposite of the tips given to them.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price predictions gone silence since the DIP. on: May 09, 2024, 07:45:29 PM
The promising approach about the rising of Bitcoin price seemly to have emotional influence on investors which at some points triggers market sentiments.
It has always been influencing everyone because we know that this season is the bull run and even if there are some slips happening recently, that's not going to change the emotion of many that have been in the market for years.

Who has observed that the speculations and predictions  of Bitcoin price has gone silence since the market went DIP after the halving?
That's what you feel. There's no silence in here but if you think that you've gone silence because of the recent dip, that's because it's a normal scenario to be seen. The market won't rise as if it's going to happen on an instant, you guys need to have more teaspoon of patience.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $100,000 and $1,000,000 Bitcoin on: May 09, 2024, 12:46:39 PM
It's going to be the same story when people have said that Bitcoin won't reach those low prices compared to what we have right now. I can still remember those days when the cloud mining has became a thing and many have thought that many of them are legit because they're too slow to take an exit and took the trust of many but still, in the end they've ended - most of them as a scam. I was so close to deposit on it because I was a gullible guy before until one by one, each of them turns out the truth about them. As $100k and $1M seems to be high to be said right now, soon, it's going to be a tale by most of us but the question is, if you're able to witness that as a holder or as a speculator.
76  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: May 08, 2024, 11:46:28 PM
I haven't played or deposited on bc.game for about a month now and when I checked my email suprisingly I saw this email from bc.game. It's my first time receiving this kind of welcome back bonus from an online casino. It may be small $3 BCD, but it's better than nothing, right? Have any of you received something like this from bc.game or any other online casino? Some casinos give welcome back bonuses but with wagering requirements, unlike this one from Bc.game which has no wagering requirements.

https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/05/08/rOKFq.jpeg

For some reason I got that email as well, even though I am an active player. I won't say not to it of course but it's strange they call it welcome back when I am not inactive.  Grin

At other sites where I have been loyal for years I have never ever even gotten a cent aside weekly/monthly rewards every user gets anyway.
Thumbs up to BC for this one, even thought it's just a tiny gesture.  Cool
You guys are lucky, enjoy that BCD that were given to you. I've checked mine and didn't have it.

Sharing my recent x1151 win on Pragmatic slot games. I’m not a fan of this provider but right now I’m already a believer after getting this huge win. I never thought that I will hit this multiplier on a fish game that frequently have low payout for me.

Congratulations on your win Coin_trader, I rarely see someone win this quite a lot.

@bc.game, I just want to brought up the high withdrawal fee set on gcash mode of withdrawal for PHP currency. It’s ranging from 2.4%-4% of the withdrawal amount plus fixed fee worth a dollar. This is so high considering that gcash to gcash transaction is free. This withdrawal fee is painful for players like me that use significant amount for bankroll.
Yeah, that's quite high but can't you do some alternative that you'd withdraw with other crypto and then you'd sell it on a local exchange? Maybe that will save you some fee or it's going to be more expensive doing that method?
77  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX or DEX: Which One Rewards You More? on: May 08, 2024, 10:38:53 PM
With DEX, it seems that every move you do is going to get you fees. As for the CEX, you can send fund transfer to the other users of the same platform without having to worry about fees because they have a feature of off chain transactions. And what we don't like with the cexes is the typical KYC, if there are no-kyc cex as of this time. You can probably count them with your figures anymore but as for the dexes, you don't have to worry about that but if it's about security of their platform, they're always being targeted by the hackers.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: May 08, 2024, 09:28:23 PM
Turning a hobby into a business sounds so fun! But I bet it has its challenges too.  What did you do for fun that you managed to monetize? I wanna hear all about how you went from hobbyist to entrepreneur!
How I wish that I am still into pokemon cards because when I was young, I'm very hooked with it but then later on I grew up and lost my interest on it. I think in schools before, I'd sell anything that I have when I'm short in cash. I don't know if that can be considered being an entrepreneur already because I am just resorting to have some cash through selling my stuff when in need.

Tell me, what struggles popped up as you worked to turn your passion into a profit? How did you push past them? Got any pro tips you can share to help other hobby lovers try to make it big? I love hearing stories of folks who bet on themselves and won.
As I grow, maybe it's all about the grit that you have. No matter how hard that passion is and profiting from it, you're not giving up because you're believing on it and you're seeing the potential of it. Not giving up too early until you gain some results whether they're good or bad.
79  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do they always attack the newbies? on: May 08, 2024, 03:07:16 PM
We all started from the scratch and we're all here to learn, but their are some people that sees newbies as a disturbance to forum.
I don't think that there's someone that said that but if so, can you tell us who said that?

I started like a newbie infact we all started like a newbie and gradually we all grow to the rank we're now. So I'll advise to those people seeing the newbies as if they're here to harm others please we're here to learn more about cryptocurrency, we all have a target on here.
I haven't seen someone treated a newbie like that. In fact, the majority of us here are happy to help if there are newbies asking new things from them. Everyone here is eager to push everyone upwards than to pull down. Maybe the tone of their words didn't just suit you and you think that they're not welcoming to you guys?
80  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LocalMonero/Agoradesk to be taken down on: May 07, 2024, 11:42:56 PM
No longer surprising, all of the services that have intend to increase someone's privacy are going to be scrutinized and taken down by the regulators. That's the message that they're showing to us and no matter how we're all likely wanting to have a better form of privacy and anonymize our movements on the web together with our transactions, it's very simple to them as they can take down all of it, all at once or one by one, there's no escape.
