Many coins get rejuvenated as time goes on. Building new stuff on the old, add-ons and so on, It's in the norms. Saturncoin kicked-off as 100% POW, now it's moving towards POW/POS. Issues over-there are technical, here we have a problem of leadership. But we can handle it. The move over should be very transparent to regain trust.
First of all we need a new thread, if we can't takeover this one. On the new thread the new team should present itself and make its intentions clear.
Many want a quick pump. I don't think that's the right direction. We should be moving towards a complete restoration of this formidable coin.
One big issue we will face and someone has already underlined it is the fact that some a buying cheap now and will certainly dump at the first summit. It maybe a good idea to increase POS rewards.
I believe the price will skyrocket naturally once we have the new development team up and running. Over time, and without the interference of dumping bagholders, there should be a noticeable uptrend as we introduce project after project, and make FairCoin shine and stand out from the rest of the coins. I believe that transparency is something that everyone wants, especially from the developers of the coin. It is my objective to make it happen. In the future, we will have live video chat conferences with all the developers, and we all will get to know a bit of their background whilst discussing future plans for the coin. Most bagholders have already dumped. And given the almost 0 volume on MintPal, I doubt anyone is stocking up. Now Faircoin is the most fairly distributed coin. haha |

There will be no new or old faircoin, coin gets improved, not re-developed or hard forked. Just, dev was online 3 days ago here and i see rumors the coin has abandoned, but no proof or have i overlooked something? Dev online 3 days ago but hasn't said a word in like a week now. |

Sell off has started. Not even sure when to buy back in.
BC PR Agency has been announced, people will want to get back there and i guess that will probably make the dump harsher. just in case you did not know why the sell-off it starts/started to speed up "here". Cinni has been handling in house marketing and have been doing a great job. People keep asking how CinniCoin is better than BlackCoin but that's not the question you should be asking. They are quite different coins just like two different companies. I think BlackCoin found their branding and CinniCoin has their own direction as well. In the end, I think both coins are creative and there will be some who like blackcoin and some cinni. There's always going to be pros & cons. I think cinni is undervalued and should be around 1/3, 1/4 of BC. Anyway Ill keep my ~25k cinnis because I think Ill profit 200-300% soon vipin.khatri20: What creative plans could u tell me ? These are some of the features or services which Cinni will have in near future and as we progress further new features will be announced. Hello FairCoin Community!
I am one of the community managers for CinniCoin and the owner of an e-commerce store (under construction). It has come to my immediate attention that the FairCoin community has been abandoned by the head developer and the development team. What's more to add is that FairCoin was perhaps one of the most promising of currencies; widely adapted by a spread distribution, moderately low coin capacity, and an amazing and supportive community. But this has all gone to waste by the negligence of its creator. I bring forth a movement to restore FairCoin to its former glory; bring it to what it was before or even better! If the developers can't do it, then the community (which has backed the coin from the very start) will do it instead! I have watched the movement of FairCoin (value and community moral) closely over the past few weeks, and it has been most visibly depressing for all. Many investors were skunked by the sudden silence of the developers and the unfulfilled promises (new projects, big investors, etc). What high hopes we had for this coin were quickly vanquished.
I want to help revive this coin, and I am sure that many other people do too! Starting from this post, I hope we will choose the new leaders of the FairCoin community; people that will lead this coin to popularity, high value, and overall success.
First off, I would like to present myself, as an able and capable community manager with a multitude of social experiences and a usual leader in community groups. I have several years of individual marketing experience under my belt, and a knack for business. With my involvement in the development team, I will use social media, marketing techniques, and crowd projection methods to quickly spread word of FairCoin’s existence and the opportunities behind it. Hello Morquor, In order to distinguish FairCoin from all the other cryptocurrencies, we need to give it several unique traits that a select few or none other coin has. One of such was implemented by the original developer; FairCoin's genuine spread distribution method. Examples of other things that the new development team may bring on for FairCoin is wallet technology that allows the transmittance of data (eg; pictures, messages, and videos) through the FairCoin wallet (originally thought up for CinniCoin). In addition, the creation of a FairCoin-based business and service (that only accepts FairCoin) would do well in constantly circulating FairCoin from wallet to wallet, and would give FairCoin a definite use. After an established base and a good level of popularity in the cryptocurrency community, we would have to project the coin to the world; get acceptance at well known businesses and franchises (eg; McDonalds, Starbucks, Wal-Mart). This would probably be the most difficult step, because we would have to prove to them that FairCoin can be superior to normal-day fiat currencies. Another future project that can be implemented are FairCoin Debit Cards that can be used at any Visa, AMEX, or Mastercard terminal. How this would work is that when the cardholder swipes the card and attempts to pay for whatever products he or she is wanting to buy, the card provider would automatically deduct the equivalent value in fiat worth in FairCoins from the cardholder's wallet, sell them to an exchange, and transfer the money to the business' bank account. This is a far-off idea, which closely matches Xapo's BitCoin debit card idea, but with dedication from the FairCoin community, we can make it happen. There are a lot of projects that can be thought up throughout the further development of FairCoin, but for now, these are the few ideas I am eager enough to put down. Anyone ever wondered with all the media hype we have received in the past few weeks, and all of the services that now accepts BlackCoin, why are we still trading at the same level for the past 2 weeks? Everyone I meet and chat with claim they are holding BC and not selling, have you ever asked yourself why is someone selling so low?

The coin value has dropped over 95%. I'm not sure if there's a better time to find a new development team. Logging in and saying nothing might be hurting the price more then just not logging in. Anyone can roll back. But the community has to adapt it. Yes, if the original developer comes back it might split the community.
We should set up a FAC Escrow. Development team gets paid in FAC. Those bagholders with massive FAC will have more incentive to donate. But we have to decide who make the decision of which development team to go with.
Has it lost it's value? I'd beg to differ. You could also say it has never reached it's potential value. My view on this: If you look at the point where this coin hit mintpal, it was about 400 to 500 satoshi. Then it grew to around 1500 to 2000 satoshis in a very short time. After that we all know what happened. The coin got 'abused' and once some people found out it couldn't be abused anymore (imho because too many people owned it and there wasn't much volume on exchanges) it was left to rot. Leaving it at the point where it is now, around 450 to 550 satoshi with a lot of angry people who had high expectations and invested a lot of BTC when the price was 2500 to 5000 satoshis (I recall; "BC and FAC, the King and Queen of the AltCoins"). So we've learned our lesson the hard way - we got pumped and dumped - (once again hehehe) and we're back where we were. Now let's cut out the negativity and sarcasm and get this coin back on the road :-) Who can set up an Escrow and find the things out that need to be found out? I'm happy to throw in 10.000 FAC if this plan can work. I think 10.000 FAC can easily translate to 3 to 4 BTC in time. Update: I've asked the bitcointalk moderators for a way for us to change the OP. Updating the title and that thing with recent events and plans will at least give a bit more trust to this coin. I don't think there would have been a "dump" if the dev didn't abandon us. The price hit 4200 sats off just his 1 BS announcement. We'd be sitting here at least 3000 if the Faircoin dev would just show up and talk about plans. |
