601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing into alts with higher inflation, velocity and less hashpower+security? on: May 24, 2017, 07:02:01 PM
Does not really make sense to me - any ideas where I might be wrong ?

If not - we might see a big dot-com like bubble burst soon ....

Sorry for warning and ripple your nipple as long as you can.
With the way that the price is rising right now I would just stick with bitcoin. You are way better off hoping that the price will continue to rise than trying to mine a coin that might not end up being successful. But then again it could rise like bitcoin did in the early days and you would have lots of money so it is sort of a tough decision. I am sticking with BTC for my part.
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: May 24, 2017, 05:37:35 PM
Bitcoin is internally earned money that can be obtained from mining with this can not be printed as fiat money,
But can be disbursed as banknotes as legitimate payments.
Is it sound money? I don’t think so. But others might disagree. I think sound money has to be a currency that is backed up and that is accepted everywhere in exchange for items. I don’t think bitcoin has reached that point yet. But as a way to store wealth it is a great way if you are willing to gamble that it won’t become worthless. Now it is rising though!
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank in Norway now supports Bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 04:56:46 PM
Wow it seems that bitcoin is really being adopted by more country,
Hope that we could see other country to accept bitcoin in the future.

Yeah, we've seen Japan accept it, Australia will from july 1st and I can see South Korea or some scandinavian country following their footsteps aswell. 2017 has been a great year for bitcoin so far. Cheesy
And the best part is that we are past the middle of May so there is a lot of things that could happen in the rest of the year, and that could really make the price skyrocket even more than it has done in the past weeks and months.
You got the point! I hope you are right! I am loving how the price has risen more than $1000 in only a month’s time. I don’t know going back to the OP's statement how a bank can accept bitcoin though. With the price always changing and since nobody really knows what will happen to the currency it doesn’t really make sense for this to be going on. I don’t know maybe I’m missing something.
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transasction time and fees - What are the solutions ? on: May 24, 2017, 07:28:42 AM
I think the best way to see bitcoin right now is as a way to store wealth instead of as a currency for day to day transactions. Right now the fees are too high for that purpose. But for storing wealth it doesn’t matter what the fees are. You can just continue to wait as the price rises higher and higher. But the fees are really not that bad compared to fiat fees anyway.
605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How effective are bitcoin trading bots? on: May 24, 2017, 07:04:54 AM
Trading robots can make the life of a trader much easier, allowing automating many routine operations, increasing the speed of work, reducing error rates and fatigue. However, development of an effective trading strategy is the task of the trader and not the robot. It’s like a car that allows driving faster and more comfortable, but it is up for the driver to decide how to get to the destination. And most important, it is the driver who is responsible for all actions.

Source - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1722689.0
This is not completely true for most bots the strategy is already hard coded, and the trader can only do some adjustment to the strategy by reading the manual, so if the bot does not work as it should there is not much the trader can do.
Well why do they use bots then ?
There are plenty of things that come across the traders while dealing with the bots. If someone is not satisfied with working in the trading bots it is good to be an open ended. But before going to go to the Bots one should first understand the reason of why the bots are here.
606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning with BTCs? on: May 23, 2017, 08:42:44 PM
Investing on ICO is a good way to make money. And Trading also gives you good money in long term. But you should spend some time in trading and learn the methods in trading. Once you get experience in trading then you no need any other source to increase your BTC. with doing trading you can make bitcoins.
There is a strategy to make definite profit with the investments of ICO.

It is investing with in ICO in early days of its introduction. We can see many altcoin projects are providing heavy discounts in early days. Making use of it must be guaranteeing some decent profits, still we must look for concepts of that altcoin project. Because there are altcoins which did get heavy dump on the first day of listing in exchanges.
Wow this is a beautiful idea. If I am not wrong this is known as the smart decision making. The Alts give a discount in early days really. I think it will be best to wait for the first three days of the launching of the project, study its progress in the first three days and then decide to what to do. If they are doing well invest in it and withdraw your funds before the project ends.
607  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to Trade - Is copy trade a good option? on: May 23, 2017, 08:21:03 PM
I think it depends on the father trader, who is trading on behalf of the others (and for himself too). One should consider past performance, current situations, risk profile and trade volume while copying the trades of others. It could prove profitable if everything went properly, so there is no harm in giving a try for a right father trader. This is my personal opinion, please do your own research before trading or copying any trades.

Copy trading is good for a Newbie as he can follow the steps of an experienced trader and have a greater chance of getting profits in this way. But it should not be a habit nor it is 100% secure. Circumstances changes quite often in trading and if you are just copying the trades without applying your own mind, then sometimes you might be a at a big risk.
Yeah, I agree sometime copying things really work but you have to be careful whoever you are copying is strengthened enough to be copied. There is a saying in my local language which translation is that even to copy you need the presence of mind. If you are wise enough, just copying may lead to developing a successful strategy.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: May 23, 2017, 05:32:55 PM
Actually i dont know if astronauts needs to use bitcoin in the outer space but ive read some article that astronauts can use internet in space but some kind of laser beam thing i think i forgot the name but the point is they can really use internet in space.
In this modern age anything is possible.
Yeah well what would people in space have to pay for ?
This is really a question that is not worth asking for at least another 50 years. If bitcoin still exists then it may be a plausible question. Nobody lives in space except astronauts and they are working and don’t need to pay for their things...they get them for free. It would only make sense if there were another planet of people that one would buy stuff from.
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: May 23, 2017, 02:36:05 PM
Am I the only one realizing that ~$1 fee to make a transaction is absolutely insane and defeats one of the core benefits of using bitcoin for daily transactions.

This is getting insane and is completely uncalled for, or am I wrong?
I think the fees is not limited in the limit of 0.5$ to 1$ , here I found that the transaction fee needed to about 2$ ( according to the current price of the Bitcoin ) which is really high if we compare in the last two.weeks , because here with the transaction charge of 200+sat/byte is not much sufficient to confirm the transaction  , Here in the normal condition we need to pay atleast 250sat/byte ( which will depend upon the numbers of the input and output of the amount of the Bitcoin that you want transfer ) .
And I think we should not go to back here to pay the high fee , because the high fee making the miners network and community strong by economically  and that will be results into the  improvement in the technology of the Bitcoin indirectly .
Well then we should support the fee increase if it is going to be good for the end user. The main feature of the Bitcoin for which most of the people love and adopt it is the faster transaction and lower fee. So, if the transactions are not faster anymore it will be discouraging situation for the users. If a little increase can give good results I appreciate.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: May 22, 2017, 08:16:44 PM
-snip-

I think what we are discussing here is what you you would buy in case you win something from the casinos. I don't think we are discussing about storing bitcoins or buying bitcoins to deposit it in the casinos. It's nice to read about what other people use their winnings on, it gives us an idea on what to spend it on.

There are gamblers that are choosing not to buy or spend their winnings because they think that it will be profitable for them if they won't use it. And if you win some good amount, there's no need to be forced on buying whatever you want because it's up to you. It's your money and you are the one to decide what you want.
Actually the true profit and essence of gambling lies in the fact that what you withdrawn and used. No matter if you won 1 billion dollars and loose them slowly in 10 years if you don't withdraw them. I am sure a lot of guys just don't withdraw their funds because they feel they will use it for winning even more, guys spare a though when you would stop this way ? Never.

Make a goal, try the best to reach it, if reached stop and if not reached stop for the day and try next day.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is more risky. Sport or casino bets ? on: May 22, 2017, 07:51:04 PM
For my opinion i think the more risky is the casino, because the casino you cannot predict the result. Actually im not going in casino  but i heared it in my neighbor because they always wanted to go in the casino and they always lossing their money in betting the game.

Both type of gambling are equally risky. It depends on the amount you are wagering on the game. No matter what type of gambling you are playing, the results are difficult if not impossible to predict.
You can try to analyse sports gambling but you will not get it right 100% of the time.
That's true but factually casino bets are much more risky since you don't have any idea where the result might go and the bet's result are also determined quite quickly as compared to sports bets. Sports is a bit pity because it has higher house edge, so yeah both are risky in their own ways but if you ask me sports is better since the results are delayed and long.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING & TRADING on: May 21, 2017, 01:12:35 PM
Gambling and trading can both bring you profit, in gambling profit in a way that you are going to become an investor the casino's bankroll. And in trading, it's a normal method of buying and selling of an alt coin that you wish to have. I would say that if you want profit, just don't gamble daily with dice or sports betting.
First, investing into casino's bankroll is not gambling.
Secondly gambling is not for profit making similar to why we are having trading. I do not know why people are comparing gambling and trading. These are two extremes but people always want to do one of them in another way.

Even you are not gambling daily, there will be no guarantee you will be making profits from it. Because your small profits from multiple day might get lost on one single day of gambling too.
613  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Invest 2 btc on: May 18, 2017, 08:18:25 PM
Investing on a new gambling site is better than investing on a hyip or a cloudmining sites , investing on a gambling site can be more safer than hyips or cloudmining sites. Gambling sites provides you a fixed income in your investment that make you both gain a profit.
Gambling site investments are safer only when that gambling house maintain their reputation here on this forum. If any new gambling site decides to ignore their reputation then we cannot force them to provide active support through this forum hence they may run away with our money at any time.

I believe choosing well established gambling site must be a very good option. Here establishment must be related to how they are maintaining their support to this forum members.
614  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you have an idea to invest your bitcoin in offline business? on: May 18, 2017, 07:41:30 PM
It seems to make bitcoin not fully arrive in the form offline, until today bitcoin is still in use as an online business, there are still many people who do not know about bitcoin, as I am still a beginner who needs a lot of guidance and direction.
Please educate yourself more on bitcoin related stiff, to use bitcoin for offline business we do not need physical/offline bitcoins. Business dealing alone may happen offline but the payment for that business deal may happen with regular bitcoin payments and about that type of scenario alone we are discussing here.

So it is highly possible to deal on bitcoin payments based for any real time business. Only buyer and seller need to agree about going with bitcoin payments.

615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoin trading bots are profitable? on: May 18, 2017, 07:21:44 PM
First time you use it are profitable but after that only loss you'll get. Market is something that we can't control or manipulate, even you have great bots is never worth. Leave bots and use your real bots that we call brain, use your brain to make analyze about the market and try to run it by doing some " open market " ( op ). Understand the risk and deal with it just like real life. For me, bots aren't profitable but if you want to try itself I can do nothing. That's your way, good luck.

I'm don't have a good trade knowledge, but if you are trading based on charts, and looking for fluctuations over a few minutes etc, then why shouldn't a bot be better than human analysis? If you are searching for a pattern, then a bot should be better than you, in dong that job I think.
But do you think it would be possible to code a bot to recognize all the chart patterns.
For example, you may sometimes find a good entry pattern in 4 hrs chart and in some other times you may find with 30 min chart. I do not think any bot will be doing like that. Versatility of trading bot is a very big question here.
616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm a beginner, I want to start trading. What should i do? on: May 18, 2017, 07:02:52 PM
By looking at the fluctuations and the increasing price of Bitcoin, I would suggest not to put your money into any altcoin for now. Just keep on holding what you have in bitcoins and if you see a dump then think about investing in others.
Yes, I too never find altcoins are safer to trade/invest. Instead of trying to make profits from altcoin trading, I believe it would be much wiser if we are trading to catch possible bitcoin corrections to buy more. As long as we are holding bitcoins, the chances to make more profits in quick time is possible.

The more safer way of trading for beginners must be trading bitcoins passively. Yes, buying bitcoins and then holding for some longer period and in between time adding more bitcoins and then targeting big prices might get decent profits all the times.
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WOW!!! New Record 200622 Unconfirmed Transactions on: May 18, 2017, 06:39:24 PM
Yes, the record was 150k last week and now it's about 216k. With 60k unconfirmed transactions last year, the case was even horrible back then and we had to set a miner fee of about 100 sats per byte while before that 50 sats was considered a good fee. Now it's 200-220 sats per byte and still we need to wait for an hour while some exchanges force a 500 sats per byte fee to avoid delays.
But more than 50% of unconfirmed transactions currently in mempool were created just with the intention of spam attack as they were included with the transaction fee below par. If this continues I am afraid may have 300k as a new record by next week itself. As long as this type of spam transaction attack continues, there would be no meaning of maintaining any tracks of unconfirmed transactions as records.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need more miners to increase the confirmation speed? on: May 18, 2017, 06:12:19 PM
But what about a new miner with competitive hash power but including transactions only from the list which is similar to viaBTC's acceleration ? I mean to say what if there are competitive miners who are ignoring the revenue from tx fees but focusing only block rewards.
-> when miners are ready to pick low fee included tx, that may result in challenging greedy miners.
-> when miners are ready to pick low fee included tx, tx spammers may get tired at some point of time.

This may result in bringing down tx fee trends to lower.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When to leave the game? on: May 18, 2017, 05:01:17 PM
When you ran out of money, that's when! There is really no point in staying when you lost your original deposit and you deposit more money just to chase your losses. That would really be a stupid newbie move to do. You'll end up losing more than your deposits.
On the exhaustion of bankroll, we gamblers do not have any other options except leaving off the gambling at least for that day. Unfortunately gamblers may go for loans just to continue their gambling, but most of the cases they will be just facing more worst situations than first exhaustion moments.

Preventing bankroll from getting exhaustion and finishing of gambling for the day with profits are few motivations of typical gamblers. But no gambler is ready to quit right after making profits. They do want to continue and finds exhausted.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you positive or negativeO? on: May 18, 2017, 04:27:06 PM
Im 2.6K USD positive overall gambling online... How much have you won or lost?
It would be more inspiring for many gamblers here if you are finding time to share some of following information :
1. How much bankroll you had for achieving those $2,600
2. You have mentioned only about online gambling, but not specific to bitcoin gambling. Could You confirm your gambling with fiat based gambling sites too ?
3. Could you share any screenshot of your biggest are winning moments ? Screenshot of email confirmation of withdrawing big money also will be nice to have a look on them.
