Fury’s promotor said that after a less than impressive performance by The Gypsy King, this fight is unlikely to happen in 2023. It’s far more likely that we will have to wait until 2024. It just builds the suspense I guess, this is the fight everybody wants to see, to unify the heavyweight division.

Another win for Liverpool, just quietly going about our business. Only 3 points off 1st place, other teams getting all the plaudits but not pulling away from us.

I quietly fancy us to have a really good season. Confident that we finish no lower than 3rd, we’ll see what happens though. Luton away and Brentford at Anfield next. Just keep winning games and let’s look at the league table in New Year.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 28, 2023, 09:55:17 AM
Spurs fans on social media are getting very loud and very confident. They are starting to annoy me so I am fully supporting Crystal Palace tonight.

They are not a great team Palace but at home they are tough to beat, their home crowd is really passionate, they create a great atmosphere, you could say intimidating especially on night kick offs.

I think they could beat Spurs tonight. Come on Palace, pop the bubble.

Can’t believe they keep getting away with it Cheesy

1 shot on target last night but still won, scoring 2 goals.

The collapse is coming soon, I can feel it Wink

My prediction in jeremypwr's promo thread was Round 9 but you know what, I have a feeling Fury gets the KO sooner than that.

632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: October 27, 2023, 05:54:30 AM
As I expected Liverpool are too good to be in this competition. I guess one season in it is a reminder or punishment for employing Henderson, Fabinho and Milner in a midfield.

3 wins out of 3 so far in group E, playing bench players, without getting out of 2nd gear.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: October 26, 2023, 04:22:51 PM
I have a bunch of guys I went to school with who I meet up with maybe 3-4 times a year. They are all massive Aston Villa fans, one of them is going tonight……away to Alkmaar. I dunno if anybody saw Alkmaar vs West Ham last season but there was really bad crowd trouble.

He is keeping me up to date on what’s going on so far Cheesy
No trouble yet but he is heading to the stadium shortly. I hope it’s a good game and Aston Villa win. Hopefully I see him back alive too Grin
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: October 26, 2023, 03:57:19 PM
Liverpool did great in the Premier League last season and this season they are doing very well in the Premier League as well as they are unbeaten in the Europa League so far so we can consider them as the favorite team for this season.
Leverkusen and Liverpool will be the toughest opponents of the season and either of these two teams will be champions.

It all depends which big teams finish 3rd in the CL and drop down into the CL. Looking at this years CL though it is weak. I would only rate Man City, Bayern, Real as definitely better than Liverpool, potentially Barcelona too.

I think we are capable of winning the Europa League but it depends how serious Klopp takes it. He mixes up his selection a lot as it is not a priority. Nobody at the club is happy to be in it but it is punishment for a terrible season last season.

Tonight I expect a comfortable victory against Toulouse. The group stage is a bore, the teams we are playing are child's play. I guess this competition only gets interesting in the latter stages.

Prediction:

Liverpool 3-0 Toulouse

somewhat impressed how well 34k holds.

I could live without seeing sub 30k ever again

Agree on both counts. People have had more than enough time to load up on cheap coins now.

Spot ETF imminent, halving coming, we are going to over $150,000 in 2025 and there’s nothing anybody can do to stop this train.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports bets or in-house games, which is best for the weekend. on: October 26, 2023, 08:43:24 AM
It depends what you enjoy, it’s really that simple. Personally I prefer sports betting as it’s my passion, a big Saturday accumulator of football is fun and it can last all day where as the budget I set and what I like to stake could be all gone within 30 minutes playing roulette or something.

If you’re going out as a group or something then going to a casino is probably the better idea and more fun with the drinks flowing. It just depends on your preference.

If you wanna see bad luck in action go and watch the replay of the second half of Newcastle game yesterday night, wow still cannot believe that the ball didn't enter the net after that much attacking,it was also the only surprise result for me of the night.

On the pool though it is funny I am 27th place and am 10 points away from first place showing how tight this is,for this week I did really bad as I lost 6 positions and haven't checked where I am in the Pot B yet.

I’m in 31st place, down 9 places during this match week, damn. I got 9 x CLOSE (1.5 points) and 2 x RESULT (1 point). I got 0 EXACT scores.

I’m just off to check how much I assume I sucked in the other pool Cheesy
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 26, 2023, 04:44:16 AM
This was the most critical victory for Dortmund. Newcastle wasted dozens of positions. Dortmund goalkeeper was amazing in this match. Pope was great too. If we say that it is a goalkeeper's match, we would be telling the truth. Borussia Dortmund gained a great advantage and they have only scored 1 goal so far, and it was the most valuable goal. They must beat Newcastle United in Germany.

It’s the most exciting group in the whole competition group stage. All four teams can still claim qualification to the last 16.

I do think that PSG will win the group though and the runners up spot will be between Newcastle and Dortmund.

There’s no option for what I think is likely.

  • Significantly up but not near ATH

For example something like 45k I believe likely.
