621  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN] Sr. Member tvplus006 - 459 merits [all earned] on: May 25, 2019, 05:21:03 PM
Well seems like other members have shown how exceptional tvplus006 has contributed towards the forum by finding plagiarised whitepapers and all, which is a commendable job!

OP should edit title with, "Ban by mistake" and mention admin. So other moderators and admin will check your account.
AFAIK Ban mistakes hardly happen on BCT!

Without any speculation best to wait for mods.

@Coolcryptovator nice work hope to see the "saved by the quote" if lady luck is TV's side
622  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Benefits of asking questions as a newbie on: May 25, 2019, 04:28:53 PM
AFAIK asking questions does not just benefit the "newbie" this is a learning process that extends to everyone and helps sharp the forum with new features, possible changes and the alike as these are bound to come from such conversations.

Asking questions also shows interest and the willingness to learn

I am to old to be pro now though lol, I`ve coached a few teams now trying to make it into the pro scenes. My apm was 700-800 actually epm not just apm when I was like 18-25, now I am lucky if I hit 200 constant lol, I am better off a coach now. Also I am trying to get good at a game where people have 12 years on me, I played dota, not warcraft much.
I thought people have always said "age is only a number" Huh Besides there is nothing a little practice can't fix Smiley

And with all that experience you have ,it should count for something...

But hey you might see me take a title in wc3 reforged next year Tongue.
"wc3 reforged " marked my calender for this one 🎮

1. How has bitcoin/blockchain changed your life? Crypto has given me an extension of extra money from trading, sigs and other freelance gigs and also given me a free financial literacy course which has opened my eyes to understand better how the money system really works both for fiat and cryptos.

2. What kind of work do you do? Generally Freelancing here  and my day job in real life.

3. What kind of work do you wish you could do? Wish I could be a pro coder, I think it's a skill you can survive with here!

4. What do you wish to see bitcoin become? Adoption, adoption, adoption this is my biggest dream for bitcoin at the moment.

OP you sound like a person of many skills...nice hope to hear about you in some esports news soon Smiley
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What importance is kyc In gambling section on: May 25, 2019, 01:15:14 PM
But is kyc really needed in gambling section.
I know we have been getting access to most of these crypto sites without the need of KYC and got a little comfortable.....maybe a whole lot comfortable.
But do we need KYC? Yes and No!

For the No, kyc is very unconvincing especially if it's not mentioned when registering and only communicated to you when trying to withdraw after having a good day of gambling.

Then I have observed that kyc is usually extended to gambling platforms that accept fiat as a means of funding your account, so companies do this to prevent fraudulent funding, protecting those under 18 years of age, which is something likely to be part of their licence agreements and generally protect their image and money.

TBH If you still not comfortable doing KYC maybe avoid gambling sites that accept fiat as a form of funding.
626  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BestMixer is gone, seized by the Financial Crime Investigation on: May 25, 2019, 07:27:38 AM

They don't release names, it's not the US. I bet they owners will get be investigated and will have to pay taxes on their earnings (if they aren't involved in criminal activities).
Even if it were the US of a mixers don't keep names....think about it. whose name will be there ?
Quote
if they aren't involved in criminal activities
Mixer....criminal activities....what are the odds of this not linked by some transaction somewhere? Besides the company operating in the lines of giving people their crypto privacy...and these guys could casually slap them with some money laundering charge

Possible. It's also possible they have the domain and servers but none of the people. If you were running a mixing service I'd hope at least you set that bit up anonymously. And if they're that shit a mixing service I hope they ran their earnings through another one too.
For a mixer to be shutdown this easily, something is not adding up!
I Wonder whose buttons got pressed for this to unravel....domain provider.....unsatisfied customer???
627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Traditional Payment Processors on: May 24, 2019, 11:43:32 PM
It's been a decade since Bitcoin emerged as a decentralized digital currency for the people. While it's no secret that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrrencies have some drawbacks, they're still a great alternative to Fiat when it comes to making payments without a centralized entity in charge of our funds.
First in line is adoption then we have regulation as our biggest drawbacks. Surprisingly is that despite cryptos being unregulated they are still influenced by political influence, which is something I would expect to see with fiat but looks like all forms of money follow the same rules.

Quote
Blockchain technology is still struggling with user adoption and regulatory compliance.
Because the people in charge today have their Power in the money(fiat) and if it happens that people lose their grip off fiat and cryptocurrencies come in , this means there will be a change of power....which is why they try to block this digital currency at all cost!

628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1-Month Investment: ETH? BCH? on: May 24, 2019, 09:31:03 PM
If you asked which coin is an original between the two, I say ETH! Sorry forked coins...

After the slight crash bitcoin cash and ethereum as a result of the bear market, these two were once again valued at the same price, but out of nowhere it's over 150% more valuable, just unbelievable....

Now if we talk about which one is a better investment based on numbers BCH is the winner.
629  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinCasino.io | OFFICIAL on: May 24, 2019, 06:59:53 PM
OP you have a nice colorful website why not add that touch to the opening page Smiley

Unfortunately for players you are on the Curacao license scam 1668/JAZ, 365/JAZ, 5536/JAZ and 8048/JAZ list!
I didn't see any BitcoinCasino.io on the listed casinos....hope they aren't mistaken for a different casino as the case of the reviewed casino in page 1 Roll Eyes

And they are a new casino, are they suppose to be added there automatically?? AFAIK they haven't scammed anyone!

EDIT: Are you the same as bitcoincasino.com like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5146645.0

These two players have been serving the club for a long time, I think they will become a legend at that club, everyone will remember their services. These 2 players are really great in terms of "Sprint", German football will miss their game.
These two guys  Robben and Ribery are living Legend's!!!! And they've contributed towards their team beyond their "sprinting abilities"... their work rate, team inspiration, entertaining football all in one package, what more can you ask for!

It's unfortunately the world of football is bias in terms of trophies as they have not got the recognition they deserve because of the likes of Messi and CR7 who have stood in their way for a long time because of their huge fans following...in another generation these could have been soccer god's!

632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect Your Account From Plagiarism Ban on: May 23, 2019, 12:49:36 PM
Reasons why most people will plagiarize and get banned then ban appeal.
~snip~
Some other possible reasons for plagiarism, based on what I have read on the forum is :
  • language been a barrier, especially for non English speakers(I Wonder if local language boards get nuked or banned for this)
  • Bad habits brought from other forums that care less about plagiarism
Quote
Desperate in getting merit
This reason doesn't really apply for the recent wave of bans as the merit system was not around during this time but still valid for possible reasons for todays plagiarism.

I LOST OVER 10 BTC IN GAMBLING IN 2018
That's a lot of money mate, hope there was some profit made along the way because it's not possible to have a losing streak without winning some of your bitcoin back(that's if you weren't betting big and lost it all with one click Roll Eyes). And at this point we all know the drill, it's either you win some and lose some,it's part of the game and the gamblers theme song "only play with what you can afford to lose".

I’d advise anybody who’s lost 10 bitcoin’s gambling in 12 months to seek help. I don’t care how much money you have, that’s like flushing money down the toilet.

Ridiculous!
Seek help? Don't you think you came to this conclusion too soon without giving our friend the benefit of the doubt Huh What if OP plays with some betting strategy which he hasn't mentioned and only have us a half baked story. Who knows he might have walked away with far more coins than lost.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Copyright Registrations Do Not Recognize Craig Wright as Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 23, 2019, 08:38:36 AM
Copyright registrations for the Bitcoin white paper and the bitcoin (BTC) source code by the United States Copyright Office do not mean that Australian computer scientist Craig Wright is recognized as Satoshi Nakamoto by the government, the Financial Times reported on May 22.

The development follows news that Wright filed copyright registrations for the Bitcoin white paper authored under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. A news release from May 21 claims that U.S. officials received confirmation that Wright is indeed Satoshi Nakamoto, but the news has been met with skepticism from the crypto community.

A spokesman for Wright told the Financial Times that “the registrations issued by the U.S. Copyright Office recognize Wright as the author — under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto — of both the white paper and code,” claiming the Office to be the first government agency that recognizes Wright as the creator of the leading digital currency.

However, the claim has no basis in reality as when the Copyright Office receives an application for registration, it does not investigate the truth of any statement made in that application, nor the identities of people registering for copyright. The Office told the Financial Times:

Quote
“In a case in which a work is registered under a pseudonym, the Copyright Office does not investigate whether there is a provable connection between the claimant and the pseudonymous author.”

Moreover, the registering the source code does not protect the intellectual property of bitcoin as an invention.

The Copyright Office can cancel a registration application if it is certain that presented information is a false claim and the person claiming to be the author of a work is in actual fact not who they claim they are.

Recently, a scandal around bitcoin SV (BSV) — the altcoin backed by Wright —  placed Wright  at the center of international attention when cryptocurrency exchanges began delisting the coin amid Wright’s campaign to deanonymize one of his critics, so called Hodlonaut.

Hodlonaut targeted the Australian businessman with offensive tweets, calling him “a very sad and pathetic scammer. Clearly mentally ill,” and allegedly participated in creating the #CraigWrightIsAFraud hashtag.

If there is a store like Amazon or ebay that accepts only BTC would you use it?
In my opinion the crypto model does not allow OR make it easy for retail based stores to accept crypto because crypto prices are always changing, not easy-to-use issue chargebacks or refunds, too much work for the accounting books and the list goes on but we have to think outside the box and support such innovations..but the tech isn't ready for this industry imo.
For now I believe we don't have any store big enough to support crypto.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tottenham Vs LiverPool UEFA Final on: May 22, 2019, 08:00:08 AM
Liverpool without any doubt.
They have the strength, spirit, emotion and eventually Klopp. I do not think this time he will let it slip.
Would not take anything said here about Liverpool but I believe the other team(Spurs) hasn't had a real test of their collective effort and got lucky to book a spot in the finals because I believe their attackers are not as good as their counterparts.

Quote
May be a 3 - 1 win for Liverpool. Although it's hard to predict the correct score.
These two teams know each other far too well to have so many goals, would say 1-0 or 2-0 is the best score line for either teams. But I see the reds lifting this one, it's been a long time coming....they won't afford to miss this Golden opportunity!
