641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep your assets safe as the Bull run draws nearer on: February 21, 2020, 10:56:04 AM
Dear bounty hunters, and traders in the house. The year 2020 has been positive and we have been experiencing price surge lately.

We look forward to even more price surge or a bull run in the coming weeks, but do not lose guard while using exchange platform to trade.
Always withdraw your assets from exchanges after trade.

Because some exchanges have the potential to disappear after a little price moon.

NB: Just my opinion and thoughts tonight, and i am not pointing fingers towards any exchange.
Open to be educated further more.

Thanks

Since from the beginning I entered crypto space, and started opening accounts on different exchange, my coins are all still in there, and nevere had been decreased, so I am perfectly comfortable leaving them. They would surely send me an email if theres a problem, also I have out security measures, 2fa and just to be sure my coins are all safe from being hacked. Never had the experienced on being snatched by some weird exchange.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning for newbies on: February 21, 2020, 10:15:39 AM
Yes, the main factor is research, but good research also does not guarantee that you are free of fraud. I personally have done a lot of research, taking the time to choose a project but if the project says it's different then we also can't avoid it. on the one hand scamers always have devious ways to deceive their victims, even many good projects, look real, promising and ultimately end up deception.
I know good research will not entirely safe our necks from scammers but it's the best tool we have presently and to me research have safe me from silly mistakes, research is pretty useful

The problem is even though we do our very own research , still it isn't enough to save our asses due to some lack of information given by the project developers themselves. I recently found out that some IEO's out there don't give the exact amount of money raised, and that is a red flag for me as we are somehow getting excited when we see the project is getting much attention in support. So basically at that moment you knew at first then that is also the moment you say no to new ALT.
643  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Students on Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency on: February 20, 2020, 05:42:58 AM
Mabuhay Pilipinas!
Ako ay isang Senior High School student and I know na marami dito ang mga nagaaral pa. I would like to ask Paano kami kikita dito? Ang mining, faucet, trading and some of these types of earning are not good enough to make lots of bitcoins. Ang cryptocurrency ay nakatutulong sa mga studyante na gaya ko sa pagdating sa financial support which is good naman dahil gaya ng iba na mag isang pinapaaral ang sarili, nagsusumikap makapagtapos ay natutulungan nto.

How can I start earning with doing some services or having jobs with cryptocurrency without asking the rank? but instead it's willingness at pagiging seryoso dito.

I will share my brief Bitcoin experience on my twitter: https://twitter.com/timmy_forrest/status/1223643586362822662

I am so grateful for the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency community in general because it has shaped the way that I have developed financial skills. I learned about Bitcoin when I was a kid, and so I got a lot of my foundational skills around Bitcoin and the crypto market.

I've been to cryptocurrency events and was actually surprised at how kind and thoughtful people were.

I love the Bitcoin community and consider you guys/girls family! <3

It regained my self confidence, well when the time I have nothing and came to this forum with the influence of some geek friends, I managed to earned a handful of BTC and sold them at the last ATH, it was all for doing bounties out here.
and later on I got married with a little help of money from Bitcoin trading and I bought a Macbook air for my wife, well it was the moment I got a coin that worths a lot. Also I have bought Gpus and tried mining for 5 months , all of those were money of doing some bounties out here. There are lots to be told and it's thanks to Bitcoin forum.

647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video Game Company Supports Cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2020, 09:32:11 PM
With a big company with known name like this entering the crypto currencies market, how could people and gamers out there miss this one of a lifetime chance. There have been so many projects in crypto of game based crypto tokens but there haven't a single one of them that I have encountered successful. Maybe this time it would be, as Ubisoft had already proven it's worth in game developing.
648  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona Virus and The Effect on The Markets on: January 30, 2020, 07:22:57 PM

The Corona virus is spreading and is visible in the financial markets as well as in Bitcoin : https://youtu.be/DZ7Ps70of4I

Well if you'll observe, the market has gone positive quite recently. I don't know if there's any connection but it seems that circumstances like these would make digital and electronic transaction more relevant. It's safer that p2p contact transactions. I think there are people who also thinks this way and looks ahead, boosting crypto's stock. We've quite sustained 9k already for a few days.

Maybe because it can be one of a reason that a full grown country like China would accept again bitcoin as a means of payment, since a virus outbreak can destroy them in terms of economic growth. If it continues and never stooped and somehow goes to other populated country, then the country will be dangerous and people will keep on leaving the place and find a new home leaving China a ghost town. That is why Chinese maybe are secretly buying bitcoin for alternatives.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So a bitcoin scam has been getting a lot of publicity in the Philippines lately on: January 30, 2020, 05:15:09 PM
And we need your help.

These scammers have been spreading fake news about certain big names from the Philippines saying that these people are endorsing these "trading bots" to earn money. The scam has gained too much publicity that one of these big names has to publicly announce on television(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFtbT1j4WnQ) that he doesn't endorse this scam.

Yes, I know, it's a typical scam right? Why overreact? But unfortunately, a good number(or dare I say most) of filipinos are completely unaware on what ponzi schemes and other scams are, so the best thing we could possibly do is to possibly get these sites off the web to hopefully significantly decrease the potential damage that it can do to the masses.

Sites of this scam I've found:
Code:
https://the-bitcoinrevolution.com/
https://bitcoinrevolution.cloud/
https://securelyriches.com/bitcoin-revolutuion
https://thesecuredoffer.org/bitcoinrevolution-autopass/
https://secured4u.net/bitcoinrevolution-auto/
https://bitcoin-revolution.site/

Even just reporting these sites to Google just to get the warning message when people open these scam sites could be a big help and could hopefully make people think twice: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_general/

Some places to report if you have the time:

Thanks!

That is why the first thing to have aside from money when investing is knowledge. People don't learn anymore, they want to take risk without knowing what they engaging into. Filipinos are like this, easy to be scammed over and over again. They easily believe sugar coated words especially when there are celebrity involved, but not knowing if it was legit or not.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Change mainstream media's perception on "Bitcoin being used by thieves" on: January 30, 2020, 03:24:53 PM
I keep seeing the news that "Bitcoin is used for drugs", "Bitcoin is primarily used by thieves" pretty much every other day. The well informed people know that it isnt true but the mainstream media's perception stays the same. How do we change it and can we?

The only ones that makes it worst are bias media around the world. The good sides if the coin is somewhat drag to one illegal transaction of a user of bitcoin network, and thus it is worsen by the journalist by somehow sugar coating just to attract readers, despite the fact they are damaging the image of bitcoin and the crypto space.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Crypto - Part 1 - Top Websites to Find Crypto Jobs on: January 30, 2020, 11:54:05 AM
Only I have tried cash basis working sites in past few years with task to do, never really tried other sites that could pay you crypto currencies such as this blog post. I have already browsed a few and maybe will try it later for new experience in the field of working for crypto.
652  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Crypto Bull Run is Here! on: January 29, 2020, 02:16:20 PM
Everybody expects better prices to sell before halving and I hope it does come to a new All Time High. We have already waited for three years then and it seems that moment is of waiting is coming to an end. We are all excited in here to see whats yet to come. I have been in bad times recently, all sort of problems including financially and I am clinging to what coins I have now, hope it gets better tomorrow or the other days ahead.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The profitability and effort put into different ways of earning bitcoin on: January 29, 2020, 12:50:07 PM
It's sad to say that even the higher risk with high profitability is not an option for those who do not have money to invest in to, so they would rather do the low risk ones like signature campaign. I guess this is not new and I am one of those people who strive to earn as much as possible without breaking the rules. I could safely say though that we have tried the higher risk but failed and just manage to do the safest method to earn Bitcoin up to this moment.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remove the bad influencer from your life! on: January 28, 2020, 03:27:24 PM
This is the time, everyone should remove the bad influencer, fudder, negative minded people from life! When bitcoin had a long bear run, even when it's price was 7K USD, many people kept saying the price will be 5000, 3000 very soon, sell now and get out! But a true believer knows that Bitcoin price will bounce back soon or later. Now we are in a good position in the crypto world, so, this is the time to ignore fudders and keep confidence in yourself. Today CZ tweeted about it and that was very related to me. The negative preacher can break us a lot, so ignore them from now!

I am patiently waiting and muted all the bad things that I have ever met connected to crypto across the internet saying that crypto is going down. This things is just making it worst for me and especially for the people who believed in it. Now the market still beginning to make a comeback, things would be different and those punks who keep on bashing, may them rest in envy if this prices goes crazy.
655  Economy / Economics / Re: what should consider before investing in a coin? on: January 28, 2020, 02:38:29 PM
Participation in ICO or investment at pre-ICO stage is a very risky step. Its just like purchasing a shop on 40th floor and the ground floor of that shopping mall is just start to build.
There are so many ideas/concepts is trying to prevail in the market but is there any formula to separate strong project from scams/weak projects.

Which scale should an investor use to go before investing in a coin? Is it the code, or the system it based, or their community strength, or is it depends on their venture capital that how much big it is?

There are lot to consider when investing on crypto. I will state some of them with my previous experience on the this kind of market. First of all if you have to know all the basic stuffs in cryptocurrencies, because without this you would just go follow random coins blindly and it can lead you to certain unacceptable outcomes. Now, lets go to your health, of course you should be physically and most of all mentally fit, because some failures will be waiting for you ahead and if could not take it then it could lead you to depression and worst is make you crazy or sometimes death (Suicide or being killed for your PK). Another is of course the money, this is the main thing you need because if don't then couldn't invest on coins that you want unless you take some free coins that are most of the time worthless (Airdropped Coins). If some you have the money then I will strongly suggest that you go first with the coins that are already hot on the market with huge market capitalization and stuffs that supports it being alive until today, it can give you useful experience if you are planning to invest on new ones. There are lots of things that I could share but maybe others would help out to so I am giving chances here, well again this base on my experiences out here.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As expected THE LIAR, CLOWN 'John McAfee' backs down from $1M claim on: January 23, 2020, 09:48:23 AM
If you know 'John McAfee' you probably know that he is a big liar!  Once again, he proves it and proves it big time!

He said time and time again in different interviews that, if BTC price doesn't get $1M by end of 2020, he will eat his D|ck live on tv. He explained time and time again as to why BTC will go to $1M.

But as expected from a liar, he is now backing down from his claim. His tweet:

"Eat my dick in 12 months?

A ruse to onboard new users. It worked.

Bitcoin was first. It's an ancient technology.  All know it.

Newer blockchains have privacy, smart contracts, distributed apps and more.

Bitcoin is our future?

Was the Model T the future of the automobile?"

I have been waiting for him to do what he promised us on national television. I really nearly believed in him that moment he said that but now, he is proven to be just another con man. This shows he can't really take action on what he says, a liar is always be a liar and nothing more.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me? on: January 22, 2020, 02:18:37 PM
January 2019 we have more bounties at that time but this year January seem to be different, very few bounty projects shows up, I'm not saying scam projects aren't around but this forum seem relieved from many junky projects like that of 2019, maybe scammers are tired of not getting answers in return? Maybe people are now smarter and scammers are starving? I so wish so 🙏 lol what about you?

I hope that is the case, even though most of the new comers who invested in alts have gone though hell a lot than expected we still have a chance. There is a little bit of spark in the altcoins, maybe this time it could give positive outcomes and feedback. Therefor a lot of new investors will be coming our ways and that means more money. Maybe the scammers are all caught, even some of them are still out there maybe a only a few.
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value starts with people's attention? or with its technology? on: January 22, 2020, 01:01:24 PM

Is Bitcoin really a such innovative thing that can change people's lives significantly in the future?

I think we still live fine without having Bitcoin being actively used in our real lives.

Oh well... In terms of transparency, i can take on Bitcoin's technology.

But which one is it that raised its value so much though?

Technology or People's attention?

I think both have to play their important roles on bitcoin in order for it to be successful. With technology like this that is fully backed by majority of the population in the world, maybe a new beginning is possible. All technological advancement is much needed and should be run by the people unless their is really an A.I that could fully think on it's own and that way we are no longer needed.
659  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese New Year - Crypto Market on: January 21, 2020, 11:49:09 PM
I can't believe every single event of the year is being linked to Bitcoins anomaly in price changes. Can it just be that it is something moving on its own? Name all the holidays in the calendar, every single one of them have speculative topics and it is not stopping. People should stop thinking that Bitcoin price changes is not always by any chance the effect of some random holiday events.
660  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't spend bitcoin. Not now. on: January 21, 2020, 11:41:20 AM
Bitcoin was not made to spend. Not for now. There is a misinterpretation of what Satoshi wrote in the Whitepaper: "A peer-to-peer eletronic cash system". He created bitcoin to be an electronic money system. This is a fact.

Before becoming a monetary system, Bitcoin must be able to preserve value over time. After that, he becomes able to earn society's trust and become a genuine cash.

People accept dollars because they believe that money is still backed by gold (as it was until the end of Bretton Woods), or because (unfortunately) they believe the government will guarantee the value of the currency.

That is, people believe in Dollar because they are sure that money will be at the same value tomorrow. Although this is not true.

99% of the world's population still does not understand, do not know and do not trust Bitcoin. And everything is fine. Bitcoin adoption is a lengthy process that may take decades or centuries to happen.

Bitcoin has never been about just being a simple means of payment. It is not like VISA or Mastercard. He is a legitimate Digital Asset and as such needs to earn trust until it is adopted as money.

Do not spend your Bitcoins. Not now.

It is not good not to spend it, in fact it gives a bigger help than just keeping it for a long time. How would the market be so lively if no transaction is ever made. One proof that it is already trusted by most users are the fact that it is used by many in sending money, and buying services. Who would've used them if they don't trust them at all.
