641  Economy / Economics / Re: Public Benefit Corporations on: February 20, 2019, 01:54:45 PM
A lot of these "non profits" are still scams because they give themselves millions in salary and use very little of the actual funds for charity.  They are quick to pull on people's heartstrings.  We have many psychopaths running companies like this.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash is going to zero out?? on: February 19, 2019, 04:47:43 PM
People like to make fun of bitcoin cash but its still a top 10 coin with huge volume.  This isn't just another shitcoin we are talking about, it has huge support from crypto giants like bitmain.  It wouldn't surprise me if it pumps harder than bitcoin during the next bull run.
643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto arbitrage for noobs on: February 19, 2019, 04:44:01 PM
I don't think arbitrage is worth attempting, transferring between exchanges can take a long time and any profits you may have had will get eaten up in fees.  The market is relatively efficient so there won't be any major price differences between exchanges anyway.
644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance questions: on: February 19, 2019, 04:39:40 PM
You shouldn't be leaving any significant amounts of crypto on Binance anyways, a lot of people will say that it is super trusted but it doesn't matter.  Not your keys not your coins.  If you have to trade only do small amounts at a time to hedge your risk.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everything we must know about ODDs in sports betting :) on: February 19, 2019, 04:31:16 PM
I prefer gambling in sports more than dice though because besides it's entertaining, you use to analyze real events that will also make you think rather than just rolling random numbers. If you are so hooked into a specific sports then it would really help you a lot as passion will kick in.

I play parlay most of the time and chooses teams win high percentage of winning rate even though it has less multiplier.

I do both but sports betting is something you can enjoy with your friends.  It can be very emotional though since games last a long time and often go down to the last minute of play.  I usually prefer to bet on the underdog for my bets. Grin
646  Economy / Economics / Re: Ethic & Sustainable Mining on: February 19, 2019, 04:22:22 PM
This is why many coins are moving over to Proof of Stake, some believe POS is a superior system because it doesn't waste as much electricity and doesn't reward dumpers but the holders instead.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Giant Bitmain Posts $500 Million Loss in IPO Financial Filing on: February 19, 2019, 04:18:10 PM
This really isn't a huge deal, look at all the mega companies that have posted huge losses only to become stronger.  Amazon went years without having a profit and now they are one of the biggest companies in the world.  I know people make fun of bitmain for going heavy into Bitcoin Cash but they are still the dominant force in this business.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why are profits so low? on: February 19, 2019, 04:13:36 PM
Anyone thinking of getting into crypto now will be MUCH better off buying the coins instead of purchasing mining equipment.

I do think a lot of people are using free electricity from rental agreements, schools, businesses that they have access to which has over saturated the mining game causing profits to shrink to nothing.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If... on: February 14, 2019, 04:58:10 PM
Its not the worst addiction in the world, drugs can be far more damaging on your wallet and health.  I think it is very important to have a very close support system of friends that you can talk to in your tough times.  Just remember that everything is temporary and nothing will last forever.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the *easiest* profitable betting strategy? on: February 14, 2019, 04:51:12 PM
Of course if you can bring a lot of traffic, referral is a no-brainer but i don't think that it is considered gambling more than in the sense you don't know how many results you will get and when.

Agreed. I probably shouldn't have allowed referral/affiliate work into the final list.. it is *not* gambling/betting as you say. It is business.

I guess it depends how you look at it.  The time you spend is valuable and it is a gamble that your time will be worthwhile or not.  Not everything should be looked at in terms of money.
651  Economy / Marketplace / Re: For god's sake, stop lestening to mainstream Media and wake up people... !! on: February 14, 2019, 04:42:14 PM
This isn't surprising, they will say anything as long as it lines their pockets.  Generally it is best to do the opposite of what mainstream media figures are telling you.  Buy when they say everything is dead.  This new JPmorgan coin is going to be a joke and I would suggest no one touch it with a 10 foot pole.
652  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous Links on This Forum? on: February 14, 2019, 04:35:45 PM
Some of you guys are so paranoid, you think every single person is out to get you.  Don't let a few bad apples turn you into a cold and bitter person.
653  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Automation UBI Wealth Inequality on: February 14, 2019, 04:20:42 PM
Even if Bill Gator is telling the truth this doesn't surprise me.  Many people have this belief that they will someday be wealthy if they work hard, they call this "temporarily embarrassed millionaires." A lot fall for the success stories because survivorship bias has such a strong effect, not everyone can succeed just by working hard.

Mr Gator, people will still work even if they aren't rewarded financially for it.  Humans want to create, solve new problems, innovate.

655  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet not responding for my 330 BTC withdrawal on: February 13, 2019, 05:25:17 PM
surprise Surprise! Another stall tactic and now they are supposedly putting the decision on someone else's hand so they can deny any wrongdoing when they keep all of his BTC.  Guess they couldn't resist that easy million dollars, no way are they just going to let you have it, sorry man, you have no chance.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the *easiest* profitable betting strategy? on: February 13, 2019, 05:22:27 PM
I do believe that some people can be successful in sports betting but it requires a lot of knowledge and research.  Additionally you need a large bankroll to counter any unlucky streaks.
657  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Automation UBI Wealth Inequality on: February 13, 2019, 05:19:14 PM
Bill Gator I'm alarmed you say the problem is envy and laziness.  The hardest workers I know in real life are dirt poor. A lot of wealthy people are just lucky and don't have any exceptional abilities over others.  You fail to admit there is a real problem with the way society is set up.

See my earlier post here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5106006.msg49597775#msg49597775

UBI seems to be coming very soon anyways, they will have to when robots take over most of the work.
658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unsuccessful in selling handicrafts via crypto on: February 13, 2019, 03:00:15 PM
Very few people are interested in purchasing art.  Haven't you heard of the term "starving artist"

People have no problem paying for mechanics or doctors but they don't hold art and handmade crafts to the same value.

The problem is your products, sorry.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Numbers of bitcoin address is greater than all sands on earth on: February 13, 2019, 02:57:43 PM
The point is that wallet collision is basically impossible.  Brute forcing a random key isn't going to happen, you will just waste money on processing power.  If bitcoin was so easy to crack it would be worthless.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum will rise again. on: February 13, 2019, 02:42:01 PM
best tactic is staying in fiat now. or if you re online all day, trade from 100s and 120s.

buy it from 100s dollars and sell it from 120s. %20 gain in one day.

Why on earth would you want to be in fiat right now?  We are at the bottom currently, this is the time you need to be buying.  All the people not buying will be the same ones complaining they didn't buy once the bull run starts again.  Ethereum is an easy 10x gain if it goes back to the previous all time high.
