6561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LOL] NOVASCAM price show going on at BTC-e on: February 20, 2013, 10:16:40 AM
What site lets me short NVC? Oh right, nothing, because NVC isn't used for anything.
6562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NovaCoin - Balthazar's PPC scrypt fork on: February 20, 2013, 10:14:32 AM
hanzac, you probably should stop posting before nobody ever takes you seriously again.

If you look beyond the non-native English of hanzac you can see there is thought and meaning in his words that exceeds the efforts of most on here. You should try and see his point rather than just insulting him. Believe it or not but there are some smart people that don't write perfect English. The world isn't US-centric.

I only wonder why hanzac is wasting his time arguing with the pro-LTC crowd who scream 'FREE MARKET!' when they copy and adjust BTC and cry 'SCAM!' when someone else copies and adjusts PPC.

Rule 0: Freedom means you are not free to tell other people what to do.

I understand that, my native language isn't English either Smiley

In fact, I didn't notice anything wrong with hanzac's English, but comparing a programming language to a spoken/written language is absurd. Please write your next response in C++.

Did someone say pump'n'dump?
6564  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Don't deal with Pipesnake without escrow on: February 20, 2013, 10:02:06 AM
Sure, I love your threat that you sent to me via PM.

Did you trade over $10,800 USD?
6565  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER AUCTION 2000 sahres. on: February 20, 2013, 07:40:12 AM
Right because you want to do a $100,800 trade WITHOUT escrow

Go scam someone else.
6566  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN and SILVER PARITY REACHED! on: February 20, 2013, 06:13:52 AM
Can't wait for the gold parity..
6567  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitMillions.com - More than ฿ 1,400 in Prizes - Now Play with ONLY ฿ 0.01 !! on: February 20, 2013, 06:09:49 AM
If these guys were planning to run a scam, I doubt they would have left such large amounts in the prize pools when they dropped the price of a ticket by a factor of 10.  They could quite justifiably have reduced each prize pool by a factor of 10, but decided not to.

Thanks dooglus, that is exactly the reason why we chose to keep the pools as the were, we wanted to be true to our word.

We didn't work for 6 months of working 10 hours a day (including weekends ) + investing over $50K ( 1300 BTC in Pools, plus Programming, plus Design, etc ) for nothing. We are here for the long run.

That is why I think its important for the Bitcoin Community to build successful businesses, operators of the businesses that do not make money eventually either close their doors or worst yet, run aways. Operators of profitable businesses that are making money, like to keep their businesses running as long as possible.

Our best interest is that users like our game and keeps playing it, that is how we make money so we can to keep developing new sites, games, applications for more devices, etc... to grown the Bitcoin economy.

In my opinion, that is the only possible way that this amazing new currency can succeed.

You spent 1,800 hours on this?

Haven't scammed anyone yet, but I'd advise to not deal with pipesnake without escrow.
6569  Economy / Auctions / Re: 1000 ASICMINER shares with pic of share confirmation and multiple + feedback. on: February 20, 2013, 05:59:13 AM
I highly suspect this will end in tears if no escrow is used.

*hint* *hint* do not bid if OP will not use escrow.
Made large so we don't need another thread in the scammer accusations section.
6570  Economy / Auctions / Re: 1000 ASICMINER shares with pic of share confirmation and multiple + feedback. on: February 20, 2013, 05:56:54 AM
I decide to arbitrary retract my bids afterwards (just like what Pipesnake did). Now the winning bidder is milkshake. Cheesy

GREAT, now I can get even MOAR spam to my inbox!  Grin Grin Grin

Just kidding, I like the emails I get for every trade, dividends, etc, it's pretty nice to keep track of everything on btct.co if you filter it to your own folder.

Coming Soon!  BTC-TC to auction off sponsorships of emails sent.  For only 5 BTC per thousand emails we'll put your ad in the footer of all legitimate BTC-TC notifications sent to users!

 Grin  Grin  Grin

Ok, crap, at first I was joking, but damn, that's a good idea!

Wink

Sadly, I hate whoring myself out, so it'll never happen.
I'm personally a fan of opt-in additional ads. For a simpler case maybe an option to add a text based google ad (or anonymous ads or whatever else you pick) to the bottom of pages. I've got no problem helping the exchange with simple ads. Same kind of system could work for email too. Though the number of hits you generate might be low. I know personally half the time just getting the email tells me half of what I need to know.
I have a problem with getting ads on services I pay for.

Also do note that if you do add ads, nobody will get your emails again as it'll be autofiltered forever.
6573  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 20, 2013, 04:53:08 AM
couple questions about mpex/dice:

if you have shares sitting unsold on mpex, do you still get dividends on them?

if you buy on the last day of the month, do you get the dividends for the entire month? couldn't someone just buy on the last day of the month, get dividends and sell the shares the next day repeatedly?

1. Yes.

2. Sure, you could. Same thing with any other stock.

Why can't we ignore theymos?

Seriously, this is going too far. Snooping on PMs, banning people you don't like, and removing ignore functionality for you because you're so much more important than the rest of us Roll Eyes

6579  Economy / Securities / Re: [Cryptostocks] (DIVC) Dividend Crazy on: February 20, 2013, 03:46:09 AM
$8.00 was paid as a dividend.

15% was set aside for taxes ($1.20).

$6.80 was sent to MTGOX and converted at $26.72324 per Bitcoin. BTC0.2545 minus the MTGOX fee of BTC0.001527 leaving us with BTC0.252973 to be paid out to shareholders.

BTC0.25297160 was paid out after Cryptostocks fee.

Let me ask you, how did you not lose your stocks value in BTC terms with the BTC rally?

Not the reduced dividends in BTC terms, but you are still selling it @ 0.25..
